Harvard University hired a drag performer as a new professor — who is expected to teach a class on TV show “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in the spring semester, the Ivy League school announced over the summer.

The institution welcomed Kareem Khubchandani in a July message to the college community and revealed that the visiting professor from Tufts University will teach in the Studies of Gender and Sexuality program thanks to the Harvard Gender and Sexuality Caucus. 

Khubchandani is perhaps better known by his stage name, “LaWhore Vagistani” — a persona that the academic has made an integral part of their pedagogy.

The professor will often lecture in the guise of “LaWhore,” which has been a personal project for over a decade, even spawning a music video titled “Sari.”

Americans’ trust in Ivy Leagues is tanking: poll

The once epitomized Ivy League institutions of higher education now garner little trust among the American public.

A new poll by the Manhattan Institute found that only 15 percent of voters have a great deal of trust in the elite universities, while 46 percent have little to no trust at all.

Most of those polled said they want to see reforms such as the elimination of diversity, equity, and inclusion and race-based admissions and programs.

Additionally, 64 percent “support requiring universities to advance truth over ideology by enforcing rigorous academic standards, controlling for academic fraud, requiring preregistration of scientific studies, and basing decisions on merit,” the poll found.

The public’s trust in public colleges and universities is a little higher, but not much.

According to the poll, 20 percent said they have a great deal of trust in these institutions, compared to 37 percent who had little to no trust.

“These results place Ivy League colleges among the nation’s least trusted institutions. They draw similar levels of distrust as the media—including newspapers (46% distrust) and TV news (47%)—the Supreme Court (40% distrust), and the Presidency (47%),” according to the institute.

Harvard Hits Rock Bottom

They say the first step in addiction recovery is admitting a problem—but typically only after the patient reaches rock bottom. Relations between Harvard and the Trump administration have hit rock bottom over Harvard’s addictions to the liberal bubble of woke ideology; to marginalizing conservative students, speakers, and professors; and to its appeasement of antisemitism.

Harvard Prof Fired for Fabricating Honesty Data

After Yesterday, you might have thought I was done with Harvard. It’s them that keep stepping on their own dicks.

Harvard, that bastion of integrity, just fired Harvard Business School professor Francesca Gino, who, according to The Harvard Crimson, “has been fighting data fraud allegations for nearly four years.”

It marked a historic faculty penalty for Harvard, which has not revoked a professor’s tenure since the 1940s, when academic protection rules were institutionalized.

The Crimson notes: “Gino, a behavioral scientist who became famous for studying honesty and ethical behavior, was accused of manipulating observations to better support her conclusions. Before her work came under scrutiny, she was a prominent researcher in her field and the fifth-highest paid employee at Harvard in 2018 and 2019, receiving more than $1 million in compensation each year.”

They then took that model that they used against Jews, and used it against Asians and Whites in the affirmative action field. The Harvard model in admissions is exactly what the Supreme Court said was illegal and unlawful, and they’ve been doing it since the 1920s.

They truly believe that they know better and they’re immune to accountability, and now they’re finding out otherwise.

Bill Maher Agrees with Trump as He Slams Harvard as an “A-Hole Factory” (Video)

President Donald Trump has made it clear that the American taxpayer will not continue funding the whiny young communists at Harvard.

In April, the Trump administration froze over $2.2 billion in federal research grants and $60 million in contracts to Harvard, citing the university’s failure to adequately address antisemitism on campus.

In May, the administration ordered federal agencies to cancel an estimated $100 million in remaining contracts with Harvard across nine departments.

The administration is also looking to revoke Harvard’s Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) certification, which would prevent the university from enrolling international students—about 6,800 students, or over a quarter of its student body. This move is currently in flux and is set to go to a hearing after it was temporarily blocked by a federal judge.

President Trump has also publicly suggested revoking Harvard’s tax-exempt status, which saved the university an estimated $465 million in 2023.

While liberals whine about the moves against Harvard, Bill Maher announced on his HBO talk show that he agrees with Trump on the issue, calling Harvard an “A-hole factory.”

“Trump has declared full-scale war on Harvard, and like so many things he does, there’s a kernel of a good idea there,” Maher said on Friday, adding, “I’ve been sh–ing on Harvard long before he was.”

CNN’s Harry Enten reported that faith in higher education has suffered a stunning collapse in the last decade, with “most Americans” in agreement with President Donald Trump that there’s a real problem. Enten broke down the new polling showing that the perception of institutional liberal bias is a huge problem for colleges and universities.

Speaking with Kate Bolduan on Thursday, Enten explained that the percentage of Americans who express high confidence in higher education has “plummeted” from 57% in 2015 to just 36% as of last year — and not just among Republicans.

“That number has plummeted, plummeted as of last year, down to 36%. We’re talking about a 36-point drop among Republicans specifically,” he said. “Get this: 68% of Americans said that higher education was on the wrong track.”

Enten added that while “it’s a question of whether or not people agree with Trump’s tactics,” it is still the case that they “definitely agree with him on the idea that there is a problem with higher ed overall.”

Harvard Has Become Chinese Communist ‘Party School’

And by that, I don’t mean Toga Party.

Harvard might be a mere pipe dream for most American college-hunting brainiacs, but for “so many Chinese communist officials” it rates as their top “party school,” The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday.

Not only has Chinese President Xi Jinping’s own daughter been a student at Harvard, but a former vice president and Xi’s top negotiator with the first Trump administration studied there as leaders in China see Harvard education as a path to Chinese Communist Party positions.

And it is not a new thing.

“If we were to rank the Chinese Communist Party’s ‘overseas party schools,’ the one deserving top spot has to be Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government in the U.S.,” a 2014 Shanghai Observer online commentary piece read.

President Donald Trump sought to change the paradigm with China during his first administration just months before the COVID-19 pandemic exploded around the world.

Now, Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are seeking to curb the stocking of America’s chief economic, if not military, rival with the state-of-the-world education, monitoring foreign student visas and putting new ones on hold to establish extreme vetting measures for students flooding to Harvard who might be seeking to work against American interests.

Rubio announced Wednesday the effort to “aggressively revoke visas for Chinese students, including those with connections to the Chinese Communist Party or studying in critical fields.”

The move has Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning saying Chinese students have the rights of Americans, despite merely being permitted foreign student visa holders, saying Rubio’s move “seriously damaged the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese students.”

Rubio says foreign visa holders have the privilege, not the right, to be in the U.S.

Trump now wants to cut Harvard’s estimated foreign student visa base in half, down to 15% to make sure those attended from foreign rivals like China “are people that can love our country.”

“I think Harvard has to get a kick in the rear end,” Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax‘s “Saturday Agenda.” “It’s not going to do it by itself. The president of Harvard would like to do the right thing, and he’s a very decent man.

“But there are too many radical left-wing faculty members that are Marxists and that are antisemites and that are anti-American and anti-Christian and want to see Harvard become the kind of woke institution that turns out the kinds of political leaders that they would like to see dominate the country.”

While Harvard is the Chinese Communist Party school of choice, this China education train is not exclusive. It extends to Biden’s alma mater at Syracuse University, too. 

Syracuse offers executive training for Chinese officials and since the early 2000s its Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs has helped set up programs at Chinese universities.

Harvard’s China focus began in the 1980s, but it ramped up under former President Bill Clinton in the late ’90s, leading to the “China’s Leaders in Development” program to “help prepare senior local and central Chinese government officials to more effectively address the ongoing challenges of China’s national reforms,” according to the report.

Turns Out The Harvard Faculty Are As Bad As The Students

Humiliating Turn for Star Harvard Professor as She Becomes First to Be Stripped of Tenure Since 1940s

Harvard University has revoked the tenure of Francesca Gino, a celebrated Harvard Business School professor, and terminated her employment.

The Harvard Corporation, the university’s governing body, arrived at the extraordinary decision last week, Boston-area public radio station GBH reported Sunday.

In an ironic and humiliating twist, Gino, who was dubbed the “honesty professor” for her research on ethical behavior, ultimately had her prestigious career cut short after a school investigation cast doubt on the truth of her own work.

The trouble began in August 2021, when Data Colada, a blog run by behavioral scientists, flagged potential data fraud in a paper co-authored by Gino.

This paper was retracted a month later.

Harvard Business School launched an 18-month investigation that uncovered evidence of manipulated data in four of Gino’s studies. The manipulations were done to support Gino’s hypotheses, Harvard concluded.

The findings were damning for Gino, who was placed on unpaid administrative leave in June 2023. The school barred her from campus and revoked her named professorship.

Former Harvard Morgue Manager Pleads Guilty To Trafficking Stolen Human Remains

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Cedric Lodge, age 57, of Goffstown, New Hampshire, pled guilty yesterday before Chief United States District Judge Matthew W. Brann to interstate transport of stolen human remains.

According to Acting United States Attorney John Gurganus, Lodge admitted that, from 2018 through at least March 2020, he participated in the sale and interstate transport of human remains stolen from Harvard Medical School morgue, located in Boston, Massachusetts. Lodge, who was then employed as the manager of the Harvard Medical School Morgue, removed human remains, including organs, brains, skin, hands, faces, dissected heads, and other parts, from donated cadavers after they had been used for research and teaching purposes but before they could be disposed of according to the anatomical gift donation agreement between the donor and the school. Lodge took the remains without the knowledge or permission of his employer, the donor, or the donor’s family, and transport the remains to his home in New Hampshire. After he and his wife Denise Lodge sold the remains, they would ship the remains to the buyers in other states or the buyer would take possession directly and transport the remains themselves. Remains stolen and sold by Lodge were transported from the morgue in Boston to locations in Salem, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Pennsylvania.

Lodge admitted to having sold remains to Joshua Taylor and Andrew Ensanian, among others. Many of the remains purchased from Lodge were resold for a profit, including to Jeremy Pauley, who previously entered a guilty plea to conspiracy and interstate transportation of stolen human remains.

Several other defendants have previously entered guilty pleas in related cases, including Lodge’s wife, Denise Lodge, Joshua Taylor, Andrew Ensanian, Matthew Lampi, and Angelo Pereyra. Lampi was sentenced to 15 months in prison and Pereyra was sentenced to 18 months. Denise Lodge and Joshua Taylor are still awaiting sentencing. Additionally, Candace Chapman-Scott, who stole remains from an Arkansas crematorium where she was employed and sold them to Pauley in Pennsylvania, entered a plea of guilty in Arkansas federal court and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Everything Is Kind Of Becoming A Drag On Harvard These Days, Not Just China

Harvard University’s links to China, long an asset to the school, have become a liability as the Trump administration levels accusations that its campus is plagued by Beijing-backed influence operations.

On Thursday the administration moved to revoke Harvard’s ability to enroll foreign students, saying it fostered antisemitism and coordinated with the Chinese Communist Party. Among them are Chinese nationals who made up about a fifth of Harvard’s foreign student intake in 2024, the university said.

A U.S. judge on Friday temporarily blocked the administration’s order after the Cambridge, Massachusetts, university sued.

The concerns about Chinese government influence at Harvard are not new. Some U.S. lawmakers, many of them Republicans, have expressed worries that China is manipulating Harvard to gain access to U.S. advanced technology, to circumvent U.S. security laws and to stifle criticism of it in the United States.

“For too long, Harvard has let the Chinese Communist Party exploit it,” a White House official told Reuters on Friday, adding the school had “turned a blind eye to vigilante CCP-directed harassment on-campus.”

Is Harvard irredeemable?

Yes, unless they are forced by external forces to reform. 

That’s not the assessment of a conservative curmudgeon or some extreme partisans exacting revenge on institutions filled with lefty lunatics. 

That is what several Harvard professors and researchers who have watched a once-great institution become what it is today–practically totalitarian

Omar Sultan Haque, M.D., Ph.D., a Harvard researcher, penned a cri de cœur on his Substack arguing that Harvard has betrayed its very reason for being: the search for truth. 

The historic levels of grade inflation on campus also match levels of denial, insularity, truth-inflation, and ideological capture.  For instance, a shorter version of this heterodox essay you are reading at this moment was rejected by the Harvard Crimson. The well meaning editor told me they “didn’t feel this particular piece was a good fit at this particular time”. I wondered, when exactly would be a good time? Faculty job applicants already have to do diversity/DEI loyalty oaths, and students can’t speak their mind in an academic institution. 

Openness to dissenting voices and free inquiry are as rare at Harvard as is spotting the mythical dodo bird of the Ivy League in Harvard Yard: a student who is working class, conservative, religious, rural in origin, heterosexual, and believes their gender matches their biological sex.

Harvard’s motto is, famously, Veritas–Latin for “Truth.” Just like Pravda, come to think of it, and the modern Harvard is as dedicated to truth and the search for truth as Pravda was during the Soviet years. 

In contrast, a partisan think tank is explicitly factional and partial in its aims. There are many think-tanks in America that have explicitly partisan aims and practices, such as the Center for American Progress (liberal), Claremont Institute (conservative), Cato Institute (libertarian), Guttmacher Institute (pro-abortion).  Though intellectually oriented and often producing robust scholarship, these are not universities.  Consistent with their ideologies, these institutes tend to only ask a small range of all possible intellectual questions, and their answers are more predictable than not.  The Guttmacher Institute, for instance, rarely does a study on post-traumatic stress disorder and moral injury after abortions, and the Cato Institute rarely writes reports documenting the needs of the most vulnerable in society and how social safety nets could help.

Harvard, by these standards, is much more like a left wing progressive Institute, than it is a university. In its most passionate moral exhortations, Harvard resembles a secular ideological church. There are some quantitative pockets of flourishing, non-partisan academic life, but in general, Harvard does not live up to the values of a university, and is more like a think tank.

Survey Finds Many Americans Hold Negative Views of the Ivies

A new survey by the University of Chicago Project on Security and Threats found that a significant portion of the American public holds negative views about Ivy League universities and believe campus antisemitism is an important issue.

The survey was fielded by the university’s research organization, NORC, from May 1 to May 5, and included 2,131 American adults. It found that 45 percent of respondents see campus antisemitism as a “serious” or “very serious” issue. Among Republicans, the share was 54 percent, compared to roughly 40 percent of Democrats and 32 percent of Independents.

Secretary of Education Linda McMahon announced that Harvard will no longer be eligible for new grants after rejecting the Trump administration’s resolution proposal.

The Department of Education (ED) sent a letter to the Ivy League university on Monday alleging Harvard is engaged in a “systemic pattern of violating federal law” and notifying the university of its inability to receive federal funding. The violations cited include a failure to adhere to civil rights laws by illegally using race as a factor for admission decisions and failing to protect Jewish students on campus.

“Harvard University, despite amassing a largely tax-free $53.2 billion dollar endowment (larger than the GDP of 100 countries), receives billions of dollars of taxpayer largess each year,” the letter reads. “Harvard will cease to be a publicly funded institution, and can instead operate as a privately-funded institution, drawing on its colossal endowment, and raising money from its large base of wealthy alumni.”

The letter, also posted to X by the secretary, reprimands the Ivy League school for accepting foreign students into the school who go on to “engage in violent behavior and show contempt for the United States of America.” The administration has made its stance on foreign students who espouse anti-American views clear, demanding in a previous letter that Harvard review its process for recruiting and admitting international students. Several foreign students who engaged in violent antisemitic protests at other universities have already been deported.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem Announces Millions More in Grants Cut From Harvard – Threatens School’s Ability to Enroll Foreign Students:

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said in a Wednesday press release that Noem unveiled the discontinuation of two grants from the department to Harvard worth more than $2.7 million. DHS also noted in the press release that the secretary requested “detailed records on Harvard’s foreign student visa holders’ illegal and violent activities” in a letter.

“Harvard bending the knee to antisemitism — driven by its spineless leadership — fuels a cesspool of extremist riots and threatens our national security,” Noem said in the release.

“With anti-American, pro-Hamas ideology poisoning its campus and classrooms, Harvard’s position as a top institution of higher learning is a distant memory. America demands more from universities entrusted with taxpayer dollars,” she added.    One major detail of this story is the fact that if Harvard fails to comply with DHS requirements, they may lose the ability to enroll foreign students. That is huge.   

Harvard depends on enrolling foreign students, many of whom pay full tuition price. This is hitting them where it hurts most. Right in the wallet.

Regarding Donald Trump’s commitment to stamping out both anti-Semitism and DEI-driven racial discrimination at Harvard and other elite “educational” enclaves, the first two options appear to be nonstarters. So, Trump being Trump, he’s going all in on the third option.

The Associated Press sets the stage this way: “On one side is Harvard, the nation’s oldest and wealthiest university, with a brand so powerful that its name is synonymous with prestige. On the other side is the Trump administration, determined to go further than any other White House to reshape American higher education.”

We’re not so sure Harvard’s name is still “synonymous with prestige” — not after having been slapped by the Supreme Court two years ago for its racially discriminatory admissions policies, and not after having been taken to the woodshed by Congresswoman Elise Stefanik for its willingness to accommodate Jew hatred. But whatever.

Earlier this week, Harvard used its official X account to announce that it wouldn’t accede to the Trump administration’s demands to stamp out the DEI and the anti-Semitism in its midst: “The university will not surrender its independence or relinquish its constitutional rights. Neither Harvard nor any other private university can allow itself to be taken over by the federal government.”

Different kind of paper chase: In the wake of Oct. 7, a handful of Big Law firms criticized anti-Semitic protests at Ivy League law schools like Harvard and threatened to stop recruiting graduates from those schools. Now, the Harvard Law students who helped drive the protests are getting their “revenge.”

Harvard Law School’s chapter of the National Lawyers Guild recently hosted a “Wikipedia Edit-A-Thon.” Student activists gathered to “edit the Wikipedia pages of Big Law firms,” according to an announcement on Harvard Law School’s website. And while event organizers said they would target firms that argued cases they deemed unsavory, one participant, law student Aashna Avachat, took aim at two firms, Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, that criticized anti-Semitism at Harvard.

“The edit logs show Avachat changed the term ‘antisemitic incidents’ to ‘pro-Palestine protests’ and reworded references to ‘incidents targeting Jewish students’ to incidents that the law firms ‘described … as antisemitic,'” reports our Chuck Ross. “Avachat herself was involved in one incident at Harvard in which her law school classmate, Ibrahim Bharmal, accosted and shoved a Jewish student during an anti-Israel ‘die-in.’ Avachat said she witnessed the incident and claimed Bharmal was protecting ‘peaceful protesters’ against an ‘aggressive’ Jewish student. Both Bharmal and another student activist, Elom Tettey-Tamaklo, were charged in connection with the ‘die-in,’ a case that Harvard delayed by refusing to cooperate with local prosecutors.”

Ivy League Fatigue: Harvard Is Now Offering Remedial Math Courses

The Harvard losers can’t even do math. It’s what happens when you go woke (among the many reasons). This is supposed to be an elite institution of learning. Instead, it is an indoctrination center for the left.

Harvard: where the U.S. sends it’s best, it’s brightest and…it’s remedial math students?

That seems to be the case as social media has been abuzz in recent days over the university’s choice to offer a new Math course, called MA5, heading into the new year. The Harvard Crimson first wrote about the introduction of the new course back in September of last year, but discussion over the course has caught fire on X in recent days.

The course is called Math MA5, and it is an introductory course addressing gaps in students’ algebra skills, according to Brendan A. Kelly, Director of Introductory Math.

Which begs the question: why are students getting into Harvard incapable of doing algebra, which generally starts in junior high or high school?

Running alongside Math MA and MB, MA5 will have a five-day schedule, with students meeting “one of two instructors all five days” for “a variety of different activities” on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Crimson wrote last year. 

Kelly cited the Covid-19 pandemic as a factor in students’ struggles, saying, “The last two years, we saw students who were in Math MA and faced a challenge that was unreasonable given the supports we had in the course.” The goal is to “create a course that really helps students step up to their aspirations.” 

While structured differently, MA5 will align with Math M. “Math MA5 is actually embedded in Math M,” Kelly said. “They’ll have the same psets, they’ll have the same office hours, they’ll have MQC, they’ll take the same exams… So if you’re in MA5, you will experience Math M.”

The Crimson says that freshmen placing into Math MA or 1A had to take an additional skills check to guide enrollment recommendations.

Kelly said the department “investigated a number of different strategies” before deciding to enhance Math M rather than add a prerequisite. “What we thought was the best thing to do… was to add more time and support into MA for students who would need it.”

The goal is to help students overcome early challenges. “If the first one doesn’t go well, it can really make these lasting waves in their pathways,” Kelly said. “We want to make sure that students are on a path to success starting from their first day.”

4. Thomas, who swam for Penn and graduated in 2022, won the Ivy League championship his senior year in the 500 freestyle, 100 freestyle, and 200 freestyle individually, as well as the 400 freestyle relay.

5. Harvard Athletics’ T-gender Inclusion Policy states that “Harvard Athletics actively seeks to create a space that is welcoming and inclusive to all identities; including but not limited to gender, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation.”

Harvard and Stanford MBAs Struggling to Find Jobs

When reading this, it could be deduced that AI is taking some of the jobs. In reality, they aren’t getting the education companies want. They are indoctrination centers producing unqualified thinkers. The kids used to get jobs through the network of graduates from the Ivy Leagues, but business has changed and there are only so many Wall Street or crony capable jobs. People want educated decision makers and that is not what an Ivy League MBA has morphed into.

In reality, these schools are turning out one-sided leftists who are not critical thinkers. They lack the ability to view both sides of the facts and accept that there is merit in many sides of an issue when making decisions.

In other words, they are tired fo the crap these elitest kids are spewing and there is talent elsewhere that is worth hiring first.

The job market has turned unforgiving, even for graduates from elite institutions like Harvard Business School (HBS). A staggering 23% of HBS’s 2024 MBA graduates were still job-hunting three months after graduation, according to The Wall Street Journal.

This sharp increase from the 10% unemployment rate in 2022 highlights a tough economic climate where prestige is no longer enough. “Going to Harvard is not going to be a differentiator. You have to have the skills,” said Kristen Fitzpatrick, HBS’s head of career development.

Harvard’s struggles are part of a larger trend. Institutions like Wharton, Stanford, and NYU Stern have reported their worst job placement figures in years. At Northwestern’s Kellogg School, 13% of MBA graduates remained unemployed three months post-graduation, triple the number from previous years.

Liza Kirkpatrick, assistant dean at Kellogg, reassured, “No one is left on the field,” as schools ramp up efforts to support graduates.

The tech and consulting industries, traditionally key recruiters, have reduced hiring significantly. Companies like Amazon, Google, and McKinsey have scaled back MBA recruitment. McKinsey hired only 33 MBAs from Chicago Booth in 2024, down from 71 in 2023, WSJ reported.

The fierce competition has left graduates like Ronil Diyora, a University of Virginia Darden alumnus, disheartened. Diyora, who switched careers to technology, applied for over 1,000 roles and attended numerous networking events but remains uncertain about the value of his MBA.

Others, like Yvette Anguiano, who secured a consulting role with EY-Parthenon, face delayed start dates. Anguiano, whose start was postponed until June 2025, said, “I was pretty devastated,” as she juggles mounting student loans.

The president of Harvard University’s Institute of Politics has declared that the lesson of the blowout 2024 election is not a need for greater inclusivity and balance at the school but, you guessed it, the express abandonment of nonpartisanship going forward. While many would argue that the school left neutrality behind years ago, Pratyush Mallick is calling in an op-ed for The Harvard Crimson for an official change. It would align the Institute with the building “resistance” and reject not just nonpartisanship but neutrality in its programs and grants.

After the election, I wrote that people hoping for a moment of introspection after the Trump victory will likely be disappointed, and the rage in the media and academia will only likely increase.” That has unfortunately proven to be the case. The meltdown after the presidential election appears to be building rather than subsiding with attacks from the left on male, female, and minority voters as racists, misogynists, or despotic dupes.

The call for partisanship at Harvard is not unique. Before the election, I criticized Wesleyan University President Michael Roth for urging universities to abandon neutrality and work openly for the election of Kamala Harris. Immediately after the election, Roth doubled down and promised to join the “resistance” against Trump’s “authoritarian” regime.

A few weeks before the election, I participated in a debate at Harvard Law School over the lack of free speech protections and intellectual diversity at Harvard.

Harvard University warned that donations to its endowment have nosedived as outraged alumni cut ties with the school over its feeble response to on-campus antisemitism.

Cash gifts to the Ivy League school fell about 15% to less than $1.2 billion during the fiscal year ended June 30, according to a Harvard financial report released Thursday.

Harvard was mired in controversy after Hamas’ Oct. 7 terrorist attacks on Israel. Like other elite colleges across the US, pro-Palestinian students protested and set up encampments on Harvard’s campus.

Tensions boiled over when Harvard’s then-president Claudine Gay refused to condemn student groups that held Israel “entirely responsible” for the Oct. 7 attacks.

Soon after, deep-pocketed donors – including billionaire investor Len Blavatnik and hedge fund titan Ken Griffin – suspended giving to the university. Less-wealthy alumni also abandoned their contributions.

Harvard has canceled over 30 fall semester courses encompassing 20 departments, but the History and Literature department took it on the chin the hardest.

According to The Crimson, Hist-Lit Director of Studies Lauren Kaminsky said class offerings dropped from 19 to 13 classes after five lecturers either departed or chose to do something else.

The canceled Hist-Lit courses include “British Soft Power from Shakespeare to Dua Lipa,” “Marx at the Mall: Consumer Culture & Its Critics,” “Global Transgender Histories,” “Indigenous Genders and Sexualities in North America,” “The Making of Race across Latin America,” and “Global Histories of Capitalism.”

The course description for “Global Transgender Histories” noted students “will become familiar with some of the global vocabulary of gender identities beyond the binary and will understand the historical impacts of phenomena such as racism, imperialism, and [the] medicalization on gender identities.”

Students also would’ve “discovered” the diversity of “gender-variant people” via “religious texts, poetry, art, legal cases, travelogues, newspapers, films […] and oral histories.”

In “Indigenous Genders and Sexualities in North America,” students would have gained knowledge about the “foundations of settler colonialism” and the “resistance to it” via “poetry, memoir, speculative fiction [and] media.”

They also would “interrogate” various works in order to grasp “the anxieties, joys, and power that arise when Indigenous people embrace their bodies.”

“We see climate change as one of the most important existential threats that is affecting public health,” the faculty co-director also told the student newspaper.

Once Again, Ivy League Schools Rated Worst by Free Speech Group

Four elite Ivy League institutions ranked at the bottom of 251 U.S. colleges and universities for their free speech climate as rated by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, with Harvard finishing last for the second straight year.

FIRE published its College Free Speech Rankings on Friday, with Harvard tying a record it set last year with a 0.00 score and an “abysmal” rating. But it was not alone. Columbia University also was given a 0.00 score and “abysmal” rating; and New York University, which finished 249th, was given an “abysmal” rating but had a 3.33 score. The University of Pennsylvania finished 248th, with a “very poor” rating and 12.53 score.

“With scores ranging from zero to 100, NYU plummeted nearly 30 points this year, and Columbia fared even worse, becoming the second school after Harvard to ever receive a zero,” Sean Stevens, FIRE’s chief research analyst, wrote in a news release.

“And Columbia, like Harvard, actually received a negative score that we ’rounded up’ to zero. The only reason Columbia was spared from receiving the title of this year’s Worst College for Free Speech is that Harvard’s actual score was even worse, a full 21 points lower.”

The top five worst universities for free speech also all happen to be mostly Ivy League institutions, according to a major new student survey released today by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression.

Harvard, Columbia, New York University, the University of Pennsylvania and Barnard College made up the bottom five schools, respectively.

Conversely, the top rated school was the University of Virginia. Last year’s highest, Michigan Technological University, came in second best for free speech. In third place was Florida State University, and fourth and fifth were Eastern Kentucky University and Georgia Tech.

The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression released its annual College Free Speech Rankings for 2024 on Thursday. The free speech climate of 257 of America’s universities was assessed by 58,807 students who responded to a College Pulse online survey from Jan. 25 through June 17.

Pro-Palestinian students set up an anti-Israel encampment Wednesday in Harvard Yard despite the university issuing restrictions for the area all this week.

At one point, as many as 500 people participated in the protest, demanding “divestment” from Israel and urging the university to reverse its decision to suspend the Undergraduate Palestine Solidarity Committee, The Harvard Crimson reports. Many similar demonstrations have taken place on campuses across the country in the past week.

“We call on you to share our anger as a starting part to continue and constant mobilization,” one organizer told the crowd. “Now more than ever, when Harvard most wants for us to be silent, we have a duty to speak out louder than ever. Free, free Palestine.”

Afterward, students began setting up tents and sleeping bags on the lawn despite signs warning of disciplinary measures if they “bring in unauthorized structures such as tents or tables or block access to building entrances,” according to The Crimson.

Why You Shouldn’t Send Your Kids To Harvard

The leftists at the Harvard Crimson have spoken out against transgender athlete bans and claimed that the evidence to support the case that men have a physical advantage over women is “less conclusive.”

However, in the process of making the assertion, the article ignored all evidence to the contrary to support their own claim that transgender athlete participation is wholly benign.

In the college paper’s April 16 editorial, entitled, There Are Many Obstacles Facing Women’s Sports. Trans Athletes Aren’t One, writer Jonathan G. Yuan writes for The Crimson Editorial Board that the “science” is “less conclusive” that “transgender women hold a biological edge over their cisgender opponents.”

The science-free citation of using the political term “cisgender” aside, Yuan goes on to insist that “science” proves that men who take female hormones to “transition” lose their male strength.

Harvard Medical “Expert” Disqualified in Federal Court Case Due to “Overwhelming” and “Misleading” Plagiarism

As we have reported, senior officials at Harvard have repeatedly been accused of plagiarism over the last year:

So, I suppose it should not have been a surprise when late last month a federal judge disqualified a Harvard Medical School doctor for rampant plagiarism, but it was to me. In my former life as a patent litigation attorney, we often used experts in federal court cases to “establish” certain facts about complex technologies that are beyond the comprehension of everyday people like you and me.

This is allowed by the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, and the disclosure of the expert’s qualifications and the basis for his or her expert opinions is tightly controlled:

[A] party must disclose to the other parties the identity of any [expert] witness it may use at trial to present evidence…this disclosure must be accompanied by a written report—prepared and signed by the witness—if the witness is one retained or specially employed to provide expert testimony in the case or one whose duties as the party’s employee regularly involve giving expert testimony.

Judge Dalton summed up:

In sum, the rampant plagiarism in Dr. Panigrahy’s report leads the Court to conclude that his general causation methodology as a whole is too unreliable to put before a jury. So Lockheed’s motion to exclude Dr. Panigrahy is due to be granted in full. With Dr. Panigrahy excluded, there is no reliable general causation testimony on any of the types of cancer at issue, so summary judgment is due to be granted in favor of Lockheed on the exposure claims of [22] Plaintiffs.

That means Lockheed wins the case, and these Plaintiffs’ claims against Lockheed are dismissed, with prejudice, meaning these claims may not be brought again in any court of law.

Lisa D. Cook is one of the world’s most powerful economists. She taught economics at Harvard University and Michigan State University and served on the Obama administration’s Council of Economic Advisers before being appointed, in 2022, to the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, which controls the interest rates and money supply of the United States.

Despite her pedigree, questions have long persisted about her academic record. Her publication history is remarkably thin for a tenured professor, and her published work largely focuses on race activism rather than on rigorous, quantitative economics. Her nomination to the Fed required Vice President Kamala Harris to cast a tie-breaking vote; by contrast, her predecessor in the seat, Janet Yellen, now Treasury secretary, was confirmed unanimously.

The quality of her scholarship has also received criticism. Her most heralded work, 2014’s “Violence and Economic Activity: Evidence from African American Patents, 1870 to 1940,” examined the number of patents by black inventors in the past, concluding that the number plummeted in 1900 because of lynchings and discrimination. Other researchers soon discovered that the reason for the sudden drop in 1900 was that one of the databases Cook relied on stopped collecting data in that year. The true number of black patents, one subsequent study found, might be as much as 70 times greater than Cook’s figure, effectively debunking the study’s premise. 

Cook also seems to have consistently inflated her own credentials. In 2022, investigative journalist Christopher Brunet pointed out that, despite billing herself as a macroeconomist, Cook had never published a peer-reviewed macroeconomics article and had misrepresented her publication history in her CV, claiming that she had published an article in the journal American Economic Review. In truth, the article was published in American Economic Review Papers and Proceedings, a less prestigious, non-peer-reviewed magazine.

The New York Post reports:

Harvard professor of honesty tampered with data and should be fired: university probe

A celebrated Harvard honesty professor who researched why people cheat tampered with data in her work — and should be fired, a university probe released this week found.

Francesca Gino, a star behavioral scientist at Harvard Business School whose work has focused on dishonesty, was found to have tweaked observations in four studies so that their findings boosted their hypotheses, according to a nearly 1,300-page report detailing the school’s months-long investigation.

“The committee concludes that Professor Gino has engaged in multiple instances of research misconduct, across all four studies at issue in these allegations,” the report read.

Gino, a star academic who had authored over 140 academic papers and snagged numerous awards, came under fire last year after a trio of behavioral scientists published a series of explosive posts on their blog Data Colada, writing four academic papers published between 2012 and 2020 that the Harvard professor had co-authored “contained fraudulent data.”

The university report detailed that Harvard began a preliminary investigation of Gino’s work in October 2021 after the Data Colada researchers brought their concerns about the papers’ sketchy data to the school.

A full probe was conducted in 2022 and 2023, with three HBS faculty members interviewing Gino and people who worked with her on the papers, in addition to reviewing her data, emails, and papers’ manuscripts. An outside forensics firm also was hired to analyze her studies’ data.

When asked about the issues with her work, Gino told investigators either she or her research assistants may have made errors when handling the data — or someone with “malicious intentions” could have tampered with it, according to the university report.

The investigators rejected both theories and provided findings to HBS Dean Datar in March 2023, advising the school to place her on unpaid leave and begin termination proceedings.

Harvard fellow charged with attempting to smuggle $4 million in weapons for coup in South Sudan

A Harvard University fellow has been charged with attempting to buy and smuggle millions of dollars in arms to South Sudan to aid in a coup.

Peter Biar Ajak, 40, fled South Sudan with the help of the American government four years ago after claiming that he was a target of the country’s president, the Daily Mail reported. He was granted refugee status, and has been working as a fellow at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.

But Ajak, and his confederate Abraham Chol Keech, a naturalized U.S. citizen who lives and works in Utah, are now alleged to have been on a buying spree to send $4 million worth of Stinger missile systems, grenade launchers, sniper rifles, automatic rifles, and ammunition back home to support a violent uprising, according to a federal criminal complaint unsealed March 4.

I am no longer a professor of medicine at Harvard. The Harvard motto is Veritas, Latin for truth. But, as I discovered, truth can get you fired. This is my story—a story of a Harvard biostatistician and infectious-disease epidemiologist, clinging to the truth as the world lost its way during the Covid pandemic.

On March 10, 2020, before any government prompting, Harvard declared that it would “suspend in-person classes and shift to online learning.” Across the country, universities, schools, and state governments followed Harvard’s lead.

Yet it was clear, from early 2020, that the virus would eventually spread across the globe, and that it would be futile to try to suppress it with lockdowns. It was also clear that lockdowns would inflict enormous collateral damage, not only on education but also on public health, including treatment for cancer, cardiovascular disease, and mental health. We will be dealing with the harm done for decades. Our children, the elderly, the middle class, the working class, and the poor around the world—all will suffer.

Schools closed in many other countries, too, but under heavy international criticism, Sweden kept its schools and daycares open for its 1.8 million children, ages one to 15. Why? While anyone can get infected, we have known since early 2020 that more than a thousandfold difference in Covid mortality risk holds between the young and the old. Children faced minuscule risk from Covid, and interrupting their education would disadvantage them for life, especially those whose families could not afford private schools, pod schools, or tutors, or to homeschool.

What were the results during the spring of 2020? With schools open, Sweden had zero Covid deaths in the one-to-15 age group, while teachers had the same mortality as the average of other professions. Based on those facts, summarized in a July 7, 2020, report by the Swedish Public Health Agency, all U.S. schools should have quickly reopened.

Weeks later, the Washington Free Beacon published a report indicating that Harvard’s chief diversity officer, Sherri Ann Charleston, apparently plagiarized passages in multiple academic papers.

Now allegations have emerged that another Harvard DEI administrator, Shirley Greene, of Harvard Extension School, plagiarized more than 40 passages of her 2008 dissertation, “Converging Frameworks: Examining the Impact of Diversity-Related College Experiences on Racial/Ethnic Identity Development.” According to the Harvard directory, Greene is a Title IX coordinator affiliated with the Office for Gender Equity. She has worked to advance “Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging,” and hosted a panel on “The Past, Present, and Future of Juneteenth” in conjunction with the DEI department. Your Thursday Harvard Report: Second Girl Charged with Plagiarism – This One Is Chief Diversity Officer

Of course she is. Diversity ruins everything it touches along with DEI and CRT. Everything Harvard touches right now turns to shit.

It’s not just Claudine Gay. Harvard University’s chief diversity and inclusion officer, Sherri Ann Charleston, appears to have plagiarized extensively in her academic work, lifting large portions of text without quotation marks and even taking credit for a study done by another scholar—her own husband—according to a complaint filed with the university on Monday and a Washington Free Beacon analysis.

The complaint makes 40 allegations of plagiarism that span the entirety of Charleston’s thin publication record. In her 2009 dissertation, submitted to the University of Michigan, Charleston quotes or paraphrases nearly a dozen scholars without proper attribution, the complaint alleges. And in her sole peer-reviewed journal article—coauthored with her husband, LaVar Charleston, in 2014—the couple recycle much of a 2012 study published by LaVar Charleston, the deputy vice chancellor for diversity and inclusion at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, framing the old material as new research.

Through that sleight of hand, Sherri Ann Charleston effectively took credit for her husband’s work. The 2014 paper, which was also coauthored with Jerlando Jackson, now the dean of Michigan State University’s College of Education, and appeared in the Journal of Negro Education, has the same methods, findings, and description of survey subjects as the 2012 study, which involved interviews with black computer science students and was first published by the Journal of Diversity in Higher Education.

Bud Light is returning to the Super Bowl with a 60-second ad representing the beleaguered beer’s biggest bid to recover from a consumer boycott last year.

Bud Light parent Anheuser-Busch will also run a minute-long Michelob Ultra commercial featuring soccer legend Lionel Messi, as well as a 30-second Budweiser spot highlighting the work of its wholesalers and featuring its Clydesdale horses, the company said.

“We need to make sure for these moments of massive reach that we choose the right brands to meet the moment, not only on the TV screen, but brands that can really scale out the opportunity that Super Bowl and the NFL playoffs and everything else provide,” said Kyle Norrington, Anheuser-Busch’s chief commercial officer. “These are the brands that we thought deserve that opportunity this year.”

Thirty seconds of commercial time during the Super Bowl will cost many advertisers around $7 million, but prices can vary based on factors including how many spots companies buy.

Bud Light’s ad is the culmination of a five-month campaign around the National Football League, itself part of a wider marketing push to salvage the brand following the boycott that cost Bud Light its title as the top-selling U.S. beer to Modelo Especial.

FAFO Chronicles – Major Law Firm No Longer Hires Harvard Grads

Edelson PC, a major national law firm representing plaintiffs, said it will no longer participate in on-campus recruiting events at Harvard Law School, citing how the university president refused to condemn calls for the genocide of Jews before Congress. 

“Regrettably, I must address a recent incident that has deeply concerned us. We, along with the rest of the nation, observed Dr. Claudine Gay’s testimony before Congress, wherein she refused to unequivocally state that advocating for genocide would breach the school’s code of conduct,” the law firm’s founder, Jay Edelson, wrote in a letter last week to Harvard Law’s recruitment office.

Edelson acknowledged that Gay apologized days after the hearing following her statements that calling for the genocide of Jews depended “on the context” as to whether it violated Harvard’s rules against bullying and harassment. 

“Despite her belated apology, the gravity of her initial response cannot be overlooked. As an expert in political and social studies, Dr. Gay certainly knew to expect the types of questions that would be asked of her,” Edelson wrote in his letter.

Elite students at a top university, alleged to be the best of the best, are carefully identical in their virtue signaling. Uniformity is merit. To be the best is to be the same. As you rise, you converge and narrow. I mean, you don’t have to wear a kaffiyeh — you can always just go to state college. They have a lot of people like you in places like that.

Imagine the costs of this cultural cancer.

This uniformity is not an accident. Young people are being trained to behave like this. College counselors and the small army of “Ivy consultants” tell upper-middle-class teenagers to design their high school years around the story they’re going to tell on their college applications. The top schools are looking for X classes and interests, not Y classes and interests, so stop being interested in Y and focus on X. No, that’s not the kind of volunteer experience that the top schools want to see. No, that’s the wrong hobby, the wrong sport, the wrong summer. Credentialing is an industry, and young people are being taught to perform their lives within the expected lines. “The Ivies want to see your passion for social justice.” So be sure to show that.

Pro-Palestine Harvard University students ended a 24-hour campus occupation Friday, listing their demands which included the administration to “call for an immediate ceasefire” in the Israel-Hamas war.

Student group, Harvard Jews for Palestine (HJP), organized an occupation of the school’s University Hall on Nov. 16, posting a statement to Instagram regarding their reasons for the sit-in. About a dozen students initially occupied the hall, according to The Harvard Crimson, which led the Harvard University Police Department to block access to the building and tighten security nearby. “We are a collective of anti-Zionist, non-Zionist, and Zionist questioning Jewish students at Harvard who call for an immediate ceasefire, Palestinian liberation, and the protection of pro-Palestinian voices on this campus and across the world,” the post stated. 

Ivy League universities across the United States have seen a divide among students and faculty since the Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israel. More than 30 student groups at Harvard posted an open letter on the night of the Hamas attack blaming the “Israeli colonial occupation” for the war. Since the open letter, donors and alumni have fled the school due to its failure to not take a stance against the rising anti-Israel rhetoric on campus. Billionaire Lex Wesner called out the school in a letter condemning them for not taking a “clear and unequivocal stand against the barbaric murders of innocent Israeli civilians by terrorists.”

Harvard students who had backed the anti-Israel letter were later doxxed by a truck driving around campus revealing the names and photos of students who allegedly had signed it. 

Harvard President Claudia Gay officially released a statement on Nov. 9 calling out the antisemitism on campus stating that the school was committed to “doing the hard work to address this scourge.” The HJP, however, stated that they stood in “complete solidarity” with the pro-Palestine student groups that had backed the open letter. 

“We do not feel at all unsafe, but rather deeply empowered by their presence on this campus, and we aim to amplify their fight through our uniquely Jewish perspective,” the HJP post continued.

A student in the University hall was filmed during the sit-in calling to protestors outside who could be heard cheering them on as demands were yelled from inside of the building.

“Our demands are for the university to call for an immediate f*cking ceasefire…Our demands are for the university to support and protect students who are vulnerable. Like you guys who have been f*cking doxxed,” the student yelled. “And for them to stop conflating anti-Zionism and antisemitism, because babe it’s not the same thing. We go to Harvard and we have some big f*cking brains.”

Along with the ceasefire request, the HJP noted that they wanted the school to establish an investigation committee that would look into “anti-Palestinian racism” and the “suppression of pro-Palestine advocacy,” according to a supporting student group. 

The HJP protestors eventually left the hall without their demands being met, and it is unclear if any of the students will face disciplinary actions.

This Harvard Student Group Wants To Combat ‘Misinformation’—By Promoting News Sources That Peddle Hamas Propaganda

School’s Palestine Solidarity Committee, which blamed Israel for Hamas’s attack, is now blaming the media for biased coverage

The school’s Palestine Solidarity Committee, which penned the infamous student group statement that held Israel “entirely responsible” for Hamas’s attack, last week criticized American news sources for pushing “misinformation” on the “violence in Gaza.” The group urged its followers to instead get their news from Gazan “journalists,” who the group said are “working on the ground to convey the reality of being Palestinian in Gaza right now.”

Those so-called journalists, however, have for weeks shared false and misleading claims on the war, some of which has come from Hamas itself. Nearly all of the Palestine Solidarity Committee’s suggested news sources, for example, parroted the now-debunked Hamas claim that Israel bombed the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza, killing hundreds of innocent civilians in the process. Another committee-endorsed source—a Twitter account called “Times of Gaza”—has used years-old photos from Syria to claim that Israel is using white phosphorus in its retaliatory attacks on Hamas.

Amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, more than 60 percent of Harvard University’s graduate student union voted Friday to endorse statements endorsing the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions movement against Israel.

Approximately 64 percent of about 600 union members voted Friday in support of a BDS statement from some rank-and-file members of the United Auto Workers, the national union to which the Harvard Graduate Student Union belongs, The Harvard Crimson reported Monday.

The BDS movement promotes withdrawing business from companies, groups and institutions with ties to Israel.

The statement demands the end of “occupation and colonization of all Arab lands” and has not been adopted by the UAW, according to The Crimson. 

The turnout for the vote was the largest in the union’s history, excepting votes pertaining to contracts.

A Harvard College proctor has been indefinitely relieved of his duties following his involvement in a confrontation at a pro-Palestine protest, according to a petition that began circulating Friday evening and a student with direct knowledge of the situation.

According to the petition, the First Year Experience Office — which oversees freshmen residential life — notified Elom Tettey-Tamaklo on Wednesday that he would be relieved of his proctor position “for an indeterminate amount of time.”

Tettey-Tamaklo, who is a second-year student at Harvard Divinity School and a proctor for Thayer Hall, declined to comment.

Proctors are Harvard graduate students, instructors, or staff who oversee a group of freshmen. They are unpaid and receive compensation in the form of meal swipes and housing in a freshman dorm. According to the petition, Tettey-Tamaklo was asked to vacate Thayer on Friday.

“Elom’s treatment by the Residential Life administration seems to be in direct conflict with Harvard’s supposed ‘vital commitment to free expression,’” the petition states. “Expressing and organizing around our beliefs should not place us in jeopardy of housing or vocational insecurity.”

A newly released report revealed 79 percent of grades given to Harvard students in 2020-21 were in the A range, nearly a 20 percent increase from a decade ago.

Approximately 60 percent of grades given in the 2010-11 year were in the A-range, The Harvard Crimson reported Thursday.

“Mean grades on a four-point scale were 3.80 in the 2020-21 academic year, up from 3.41 in 2002-03,” according to The Crimson.

Dean of Undergraduate Education Amanda Claybaugh and Dean of Harvard College Rakesh Khurana presented the report at the first meeting this year of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.

The “report establishes we have a problem — or rather, we have two: the intertwined problems of grade inflation and compression,” Claybaugh said at the meeting.

Claybaugh told The Crimson that faculty may feel compelled to give good grades because they are linked to positive course evaluations required for professional advancement.

Jonathan Newman, the CEO of salad chain Sweetgreen, was among a group of business honchos who seconded Ackman in urging that the signatories of the letter circulated by the a coalition of 34 Harvard student groups who “hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence.”

“I would like to know so I know never to hire these people,” Newman wrote in response to Ackman’s post on X on Tuesday.

“Same,” David Duel, CEO of healthcare services firm EasyHealth, wrote in response to Newman.

The backlash and possible blacklisting has led to a flurry of backpedaling by four of the initial student organizations attached to the inflammatory statement — while board members of other groups have quit to distance themselves.

Late Tuesday, 17 other Harvard groups joined around 500 faculty and staff and 3,000 others in signing a counter-statement attacking the other groups’ letter as “completely wrong and deeply offensive,” according to the campus paper, the Harvard Crimson.

A third letter from nearly 160 faculty members also ripped Harvard’s response to the scandal, writing that it “can be seen as nothing less than condoning the mass murder of civilians based only on their nationality.”

Fears that some of the nation’s brightest young minds had doomed their futures led former Harvard President Larry Summers to caution against singling out students who were “naive and foolish” about what they were signing.

An Israeli billionaire who is the 80th richest man in the world has quit Harvard’s executive board in protest of the school’s leaders’ response to the attacks by Hamas on Israel—the latest development in a fierce debate over the unfolding war that has roiled the university.

Israeli billionaire Idan Ofer and his wife Batia told CNN on Friday that their “faith in the University’s leadership has been broken” and that they “cannot in good faith continue to support Harvard and its committees.” The couple had sat on the executive board of Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.

It’s the latest development at the Ivy League university, where many have criticized its response to a student statement from a pro-Palestine group that held Israel “entirely responsible for all unfolding violence.”

Gay released a statement Tuesday saying that student groups don’t speak for Harvard and also saying they have a “right to speak,” according to a press release.

It’s not just Harvard, but fortunately a major investor wants to call out these intellectual retards and Nazi acting students so that they don’t get hired by companies.

Multiple pro-Palestine student groups at other elite universities and colleges, such Columbia UniversityYale University and George Washington University, have put out statements supporting Palestine following the brutal terrorist attack on Israel.

Bill Ackman, billionaire hedge fund manager, wrote on Twitter that students who signed the Harvard letter should have their names released, so that companies know not to hire them.

“If, in fact, their members support the letter they have released, the names of the signatories should be made public so their views are publicly known,” Ackman tweeted.

The Harvard professor Claudia Goldin has won the Nobel economics prize in recognition of her groundbreaking work examining wage inequality between men and women.

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences said on Monday that Goldin’s research “provided the first comprehensive account of women’s earnings and labour market participation through the centuries” to reveal “the causes of change, as well as the main sources of the remaining gender gap”.

She becomes only the third woman to win the prize, after Elinor Ostrom in 2009 and Esther Duflo in 2019. The prestigious award is worth 11m Swedish kronor (£819,000).

Wage inequality is liberal speak for men are bad because they work hard to support their families. Females who don’t take time off to raise a family are earning the same. It is victimhood 101.

FIRE Ranks Harvard Dead Last for Free Speech

People tend to think of Harvard as the best, the gold standard of higher education. Yet they just got rated as the worst in one of the most important aspects of education: free speech.

The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) monitors and defends free speech and has given Harvard the worst rating possible in its annual rankings.

The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) released its annual college free speech rankings on Wednesday, which dubbed the state of free speech at the Ivy League school “abysmal.”

“I’m not totally surprised,” Sean Stevens, director of polling and analytics at FIRE, told The Post. “We’ve done these rankings for years now, and Harvard is consistently near the bottom.”

Despite being the most acclaimed academic institution in the country, Harvard received a 0.00-point free speech ranking on a 100-point scale — a full 11 points behind the next-worst school.

This earns it the notorious distinction of being the only school ranked this year with an “Abysmal” speech climate.

What’s more, granting Harvard a score of 0.00 is generous. Its actual score is -10.69, more than six standard deviations below the average and more than two standard deviations below the second-to-last school in the rankings, its Ivy League counterpart, the University of Pennsylvania. (Penn obtained an overall score of 11.13.)

Harvard University recently organized an event to support graduate students enrolling in government food assistance programs.

The Health Services office sent a flier to graduate students, encouraging them to participate in the SNAP Benefits Sign-Up event in April. The flier read, “Fuel your body & stock your pantry. Did you know that grad students may qualify for assistance paying for food & groceries?”

Harvard University is the wealthiest academic institution globally, boasting an endowment of approximately $53 billion. With such a substantial endowment, Harvard has the means to support a wide array of academic programs, research endeavors, scholarships and initiatives.

The Harvard Graduate Students Union (HGSU) expressed its view, advocating for more substantial measures to assist graduate students, primarily by increasing their salaries. According to HGSU’s proposal, all graduate student workers should receive a minimum annual salary of $60,000, a significant increase from the current minimum salary of $40,000. The union believes that providing adequate compensation directly to the students would alleviate the need for external assistance programs like SNAP.

Well, now they are narcissistic to think they can judge good and evil. It never surprises me that they are so insulated from the real world that they have ruined a good education for the sake of woke. I wonder if hiring managers are thinking of this when they consider the type of graduates they are turning out.

But at Harvard, everyone is so smart that they feel they know what the world should look like. Good and evil are defined in the president’s office at Harvard.

So, there is less interest in “equal protection” than achieving social outcomes that reflect how the president of Harvard thinks the world should be.

Per the president, “diversity and difference are essential to academic excellence.” And “Harvard must be a place of opportunity.”

But “diversity and difference,” per Harvard’s president, is about race and ethnicity, not about differences among unique individual human beings.

Back to the Bible, standing before the judge is a unique human being with personal responsibility to follow the law. The person’s color, gender or bank account is not the issue. Personal behavior is.

Let’s consider two areas of ethnic differences.

The Brookings Institution looked at math scores of high school students in the SAT.

The average score in 2020 was 523 out of 800.

Average scores by race/ethnicity were: Black, 454; Hispanic, 478; White, 547; and Asian, 632.

Around each average score is a distribution of individuals above and below that score. There may be Black students with a score way above the 454 average. However, for Harvard, most important is a student’s “blackness” rather than his or her individuality.

Pew Research reports that the percentage of 40-year-old Americans that have never been married is now 25%, an all-time high. In 1980, this stood at 6%.

Clearly, marriage is breaking down. But here are the ethnic/racial differences among the percentage of never-married 40-year-olds: White, 20%; Black, 46%; Hispanic, 27%; and Asian, 17%.

Is there meaning in the fact that the order of the percentages of never married 40-year-olds by race/ethnicity is the same as the order of the math scores? Does it say anything that Asians, where marriage is most intact, have the highest math scores? And that Blacks, where marriage is least intact, have the worst?

Marriage, family and children flow out of a worldview that everything is not about me – that there is right and wrong, that there is a future, that there are eternal values, that there is personal responsibility, that there is love.

As these values have broken down in America, marriage has broken down.

It is these same values that establish a legal system that demands “equal treatment” under the law – that judges do not decide what the world should look like, but instead apply equally God’s law.

In other words, knowledge, truth, learning and justice emerge from a world of unique individuals that recognize there is truth and personal responsibility.

The Harvard take on things – politics and moral relativism – has hurt Black Americans, not helped. It is the problem rather than the solution.

Karma: Harvard Legacy/Donor Admissions Practices Are Racist According To Civil Rights Complaint Just Filed

The colleges and universities that have been the most aggressive and belligerent in defending illegal race-based affirmative action are finding their most cherished and lucrative admissions practices challenged: Legacy and Donor preferences.

I’m down for it, as I wrote yesterday, reiterating my long-held view, By All Means, Eliminate Legacy And Donor Admissions Preferences Because They Are Corrupting, Regardless of Racial Impact

I am against legacy admissions preferences regardless of whether they have a racial impact on admissions, because they contribute to a cronyism that shifts the focus from the individual’s merits to the school’s interest in developing alumni fundraising. I’d like to see all identity-group admissions preferences eliminated to level the playing field and to increase the focus on the intrinsic merit of each applicant without regard to group identity.

Harvard not only was a big perp of racial preferences, it also loves it some legacies, though the practice is waning after the federal court case that resulted in the SCOTUS loss revealed the statistics:

36% of the Harvard Class of 2022 may claim a relative who was a student there in the past. Harvard legacy acceptance rate for the Class of 2025 is fascinating to look at, which is 16%. Similarly, only 12% of the new Crimson students who enrolled for the Class of 2024 identified themselves as legacy students.

Students who have at least one parent who graduated from Harvard or Radcliffe, the university’s old sister institution, are considered “legacy students” by the admissions office at Harvard University. This “tip” has been granted to legacy students for many years.

The rabid virtue signaling that has greeted the SCOTUS decision puts these heavly legacy schools in a bind – and that bind may lead to legal action, as just happened to Harvard, Harvard’s legacy admission targeted in civil rights complaint, in wake of national affirmative action ban:

Harvard University’s admission practices unfairly favor children of alumni and wealthy donors, according to a civil rights complaint filed Monday with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.

The complaint, filed by Lawyers for Civil Rights on behalf of Boston-area advocacy groups representing Black and Latino residents, calls for a federal investigation of Harvard’s admissions process and an end to so-called legacy and donor-related admissions, which gives admissions preference to the children and relatives of donors and alumni.

From the Complaint filed with the Office of Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Education:

Each year, Harvard College grants special preference in its admissions process to hundreds
of mostly white students – not because of anything they have accomplished, but rather solely
because of who their relatives are. Applicants whose relatives are wealthy donors to Harvard, or
whose parents are Harvard alumni, are flagged at the outset of Harvard’s admissions process and
are granted special solicitude and extra “tips” throughout. The students who receive these special
preferences (“Donor and Legacy Preferences”) are significantly more likely to be accepted than
other applicants, and constitute up to 15% of Harvard’s admitted students.

The students who receive this preferential treatment – based solely on familial ties – are
overwhelmingly white. Nearly 70% of donor-related applicants are white, and nearly 70% of
legacy applicants are also white.1 The results of this preferential treatment are substantial. For
example, over the period 2014-2019:

• Donor-related applicants were nearly 7 times more likely to be admitted compared to
non-donor-related applicants; and
• Legacy applicants were nearly 6 times more likely to be admitted compared to nonlegacy applicants.2

At the same time that Donor and Legacy Preferences disproportionately advantage white
applicants, they systematically disadvantage students of color, including Black, Latinx, and Asian Americans. As the Supreme Court has recently stated: “A benefit provided to some applicants but not to others necessarily advantages the former group at the expense of the latter.”3 For example, experts have concluded that: (1) removing legacy preferences would increase admissions for applicants of color; and (2) approximately one-quarter of the white students admitted would not have been admitted if the Donor and Legacy Preferences, among others, did not exist.4 Further, these Donor and Legacy Preferences are not justified by any educational necessity because Harvard cannot show that the use of these preferences is necessary to achieve any important educational goal. To the contrary, the preferential treatment is conferred without regard to the applicant’s credentials or merits – the benefit is derived simply from being born into a particular family.

This preferential treatment violates federal law….

I doubt legacy and donor practices violate federal law. Those benefits are available to the Obamas.

Well, It Figures It Was Harvard That Started The Gender Lie

Count on the Ivy League and Harvard especially to ruin it for everyone. It’s like clockwork to screw things up for people. Not only were they proven by the SCOTUS of discrimination and being racists, apparently they are perverts.

Harvard And UNC-CH Get Exposed By The Supreme Court As Woke Racist Universities

The Supreme Court ruled that Colleges and Universities can’t discriminate on admission based on race. That is racism even if the student discriminated isn’t of preferred pigment. If you discriminate against a color, it doesn’t matter what the color is. They are racist.

They have said they didn’t want an Asian and white looking student policy, which it would be in a fair system based on meritocracy. That would of course have graduated the best and the brightest for companies.

So that is one of the leading public and private universities that discriminate. Worse, they are letting substandard students who can’t complete the curriculum, and saddle them with life debilitating student loans. It’s not fair to those students.

Harvard has been overrated for decades, unless you have NY connections. UNC-CH is one of the wokest, leftarded socialist places in the country. Since it isn’t that good of a school, they don’t even have an excuse, other than being woke. They are the top of the out of touch places you could find. Again, it’s not good for the kids or the companies they send employees to.

All of this is is woke crap that hurts all of the student populations. Not mentioned are those students not let in because they weren’t the wrong color.

I wrote about this prior to the judgement about how Asians and whites had to score significantly higher because they worked harder in school to get there.

Now, they have been exposed for just what they are, woke, racist and discriminatory.

THE RULING

Well, it’s extraordinarily important. It has established or reestablished something we strayed from in judicial decisions, a very clear statement that an individual is to be judged as an individual, not based on race. And that’s something that a lot of universities particularly have gotten away from….

I think it may have a big impact, particularly on Asian students because particularly in the Harvard case, they are the ones who were the focus of the discrimination more than anybody else. And if the percentage of Asians in the school is not acceptable to the school administrators, that’s just too bad. The Constitution guarantees each of those people to be treated as an individual, not as a proxy for an ethnic group or a racial group.

Said Thomas:

“The Harvard and UNC admissions programs cannot be reconciled with the guarantees of the Equal Protection Clause,” he writes. “Both programs lack sufficiently focused and measurable objectives warranting the use of race, unavoidably employ race in a negative manner, involve racial stereotyping, and lack meaningful end points. We have never permitted admissions programs to work in that way, and we will not do so today.”

It doesn’t get clearer than that, in what is the most significant opinion of the Chief’s career. “Eliminating racial discrimination means eliminating all of it,” he writes.

The Court’s opinion is especially bracing because it clears up a half-century of muddled Supreme Court rulings. In 1978 in Bakke, it opened the door to racial preferences in a plurality opinion by Justice Lewis Powell. When the issue inevitably came up again in Grutter v. Bollinger in 2003, the Court again fudged by declaring the narrow use of race kosher while adding that it should not be necessary in 25 years.

HARVARD STILL PLANS TO DISCRIMINATE

It turns out that Harvard is going to ignore the ruling and continue to discriminate, be racist and hurt the education of kids of every color.

How can Harvard claim to be an expert at anything now. Why do parents keep wasting their money sending kids there?

A high-profile expert on ethics and dishonesty is facing allegations of dishonesty in her own work and has taken administrative leave from Harvard Business School.

Francesca Gino is one of HBS’s best-known behavioural scientists and author of Rebel Talent, a 2018 book with the subtitle “Why It Pays to Break the Rules at Work and in Life”.

The controversy, which centres on the use of allegedly fraudulent data in published papers, is the latest to hit the field of behavioural science and psychology research. Some well-publicised findings in the discipline have proved hard to replicate, casting a shadow over the highly modish branch of management studies and social science.

Gino, whose work has been widely cited, including in the Financial Times, has been a professor of business administration at HBS since 2014. Her HBS profile was recently altered to indicate that she is on administrative leave. She did not respond to FT requests for comment via email and social media. A Harvard Business School spokesman said: “We have no comment at this time.”

A group of academics who compile the Data Colada blog about the evidence behind behavioural science has started publishing a series of posts in which they say they will detail “evidence of fraud in four academic papers” co-authored by Gino. “We believe that many more Gino-authored papers contain fake data,” they wrote in the first post of the series, which appeared on June 17.

The allegations, first reported in The Chronicle of Higher Education, have unsettled US behavioural scientists. Katy Milkman of University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, shared the first Data Colada post on Twitter, urging anyone in the field to read it immediately. Alongside a nauseated-face emoji, she said: “We have to do better.”

It looks like the country (except for the coastal elites, who are perpetually out of touch) has had a belly full.

Pride logos are being turned back from their crayon colors so that the companies won’t lose their asses in the stock market.

New terms are being invented (see the title). The realization that young woke and fresh new faces in corporate marketing wasn’t as good as it sounded.

Here’s a sample:

The mainstream media is dominated by coastal bubble elites who — I promise you — really believe that most Americans hold their opinions. These are people who live extraordinarily insular lives. They may have met the occasional Republican, but they’ve never had a conversation with one. That would be icky. It’s like when I go out to a sports bar to watch a University of Arizona basketball game since I’ve been back in Tucson — I’m awash in a sea of people who agree with me. If I go to another bar — HEY! — more friendlies.

The weariness I alluded to in the headline has been exacerbated this year by both the Bud Light brouhaha and Target stores deciding that they needed Pride merch for the kiddies. Back to the caring point, people on the right have really started to care where our money is spent. The financial losses that both brands have suffered have been significant. It’s perhaps the first time that those of us who aren’t on board with hyper-sexualizing little kids in the name of “tolerance” have felt like we still have a voice in this national conversation.

Athena wrote something over the weekend about Bud Light marketing VP Alissa Heinerscheid that had a paragraph that began with a gem of a line and finished with an example of real tolerance:

As we savor the first-ever “Pride Month,” during which woke CEOs are coping with the new reality that rainbow spokescreatures are currently radioactive, we also spare a thought for the benighted executive who made such an incredibly poor decision that it has already generated a new term in the business world: “Bud Lighting.” We are conservatives, after all, and even while we love us some schadenfreude, we still care for the human beings at the center of the sh*tstorm they caused.

The real fault in the debacle isn’t Heinerscheid’s. It’s the higher-ups at Anheuser-Busch InBev who decided to hire a marketing exec because she was younger and fresher, and none of them had any clue as to how to appeal to customers under the age of 50. There’s a good chance that Heinerscheid has never been in more than five bars in her life that served enough Bud Light to need to restock it every week. Personally, I’d like to thank her for getting so many conservatives to stop drinking the second crappiest beer in America (Miller Lite is still the worst). It’s basically the Boone’s Farm of beers — something you should only be drinking until your tastebuds grow up and you get a job.

Harvard Update: Ousted Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot Will Lower Their Quality By Teaching There

Former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is taking on a new role in education, less than a month after she left office.

Beginning this fall, Lightfoot will teach a course at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health tentatively titled “Health Policy and Leadership,” according to an announcement from the school.

Lightfoot, who left office on May 15 after losing re-election, will serve as the Richard L. and Ronay A. Menschel Senior Leadership Fellow at the school beginning at the end of August.

The Menschel program, according to the school, “offers a rare opportunity for those who have recently served in top-level positions in government, multilateral institutions, nonprofit organizations and journalism to spend time at the school mentoring and teaching students who aspire to similar roles. Lightfoot will hold regular office hours to meet with students, faculty and staff during her time on campus.”

“As mayor, she showed strong leadership in advocating for health, equity, and dignity for every resident of Chicago, from her declaration of structural racism as a public health crisis to her innovative initiative to bring mental health services to libraries and shelters. And of course, she led the city through the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Michelle A. Williams, dean of faculty at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, according to CBS News.

Here is the reality.

She got paid to call everything racist that didn’t go her way, and oversaw the deaths of many hundreds of black people. The city got worse under her tenure and a democrat failed to get elected in place where republicans are extinct.

What is she going to be able to bring to the discussion at Harvard? How to fail? How to mis-govern? How to claim victimhood?

Harvard is doing a dis-service to their students.

It was, this brand is in decline, it’s been in decline for a really long time, and if we do not attract young drinkers to come and drink this brand, there will be no future for Bud Light.”

Bud Light sales dropped by about 28% in May when compared to sales figures from last year following controversy over the company’s partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. The Journal reported that the company recently informed wholesalers that it would buy back unsold cases of beer that have passed their expiration dates.

The Human Rights Campaign, the country’s largest LGBTQ+ advocacy group, has downgraded Anheuser-Busch’s equality score for the company’s handling of the backlash from a Bud Light promotion last month that featured transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney as a new spokesperson, USA Today reported on Monday.

A wave of conservative backlash harshly criticized the company for working with Mulvaney, with calls for a boycott appearing to be the reason for a drop in the sales of Bud Light, Business Insider reported.

HRC’s senior vice president of programs, research, and training Jay Brown said the group decided to revoke Anheuser-Busch’s equality score after several attempts over the last month to contact the company’s executive team went unanswered.

The group said it had asked the company to release a statement backing Mulvaney and transgender customers, shareholders, and employees.

Anheuser-Busch had previously held a perfect score and was designated a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality,” which meant the company took “concrete steps to establish and implement comprehensive policies, benefits, and practices that ensure greater equity for LGBTQ+ workers and their families,” according to HRC’s website.

“We don’t make this decision lightly,” Brown said. He emphasized that demonstrating backing for the LGBTQ+ community is particularly important in the current atmosphere, with numerous anti-LGBTQ bills under discussion in legislatures across the nation.

The business blunder has resulted in an organic boycott felt as far away as Australia, where Sky News host Rita Panahi cited the saga as a warning to her own country’s corporations.

Panahi theorized conservatives in her country could make their voices heard in ways that make those who attempt to propagate leftist causes pay for it if they only follow the great American roadmap.

In the case of Normal People v. Bud Light, Americans on the right have spoken loudly and clearly.

Conservatives have protested toxic so-called progressivism by choosing to remain peacefully committed to not giving hard-earned dollars to a company that mocks them.

It finally came out. AB is truly woke. Their main customer base for decades is men, the beer drinkers. I don’t know the white/black breakdown other than 13% of the population is black, so I’m guessing more white beer drinking men.

Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of Bud Light, has pledged to purge its white, male employees in an effort to have a “more diverse and inclusive environment,” according to footage found on the company’s website. The company has seen its sales collapse since the disastrous Dylan Mulvaney advertisement campaign which wiped billions off the firm’s value, and chased millions of customers away.

In the video, one employee of Anheuser-Busch explains, “we’re still 40 percent women, and 60 percent men, still predominantly white: so there’s still work to be done.” The “work” to be “done” is apparently replacing white male workers with alternatives.

In doing this, another employee says, “I feel like I finally found my voice as a black woman, and I’m not prepared to lose it.”

Discussing the #CheerstoDiversityAndInclusion campaign, Anheuser-Busch’s European Diversity and Inclusion Manager, Lara Laila Gärber explains, “at AB InBev, what we wanted to do is ensure that diversity and inclusion is fully integrated in our business strategy.”

Anheuser-Busch has lost billions of dollars as a result of its decision to embrace diversity by partnering with Dylan Mulvaney for the now infamous ad campaign. The stock has also since been downgraded by HSBC.

Back to me.

As a person sitting in the grandstands watching the shit show, I’d say they were cutting their own throats. Not everything is for everybody every time. Different people like different things. Why you don’t promote your customers instead of demeaning them for the sake of woke and pleasing Blackrock ESG for your proper CEI scoring (how woke you are for DEI, CRT, etc.).

Bud Light sales began dropping in the first week of April and kept falling for weeks. The boycott has hurt other Anheuser-Busch beers, too, including Budweiser, Michelob Ultra and Busch Light. Sales volumes for rivals Coors Light and Miller Lite in the first week of May were up about 16% and 17%, respectively, according to Bump Williams.

Sure, it’s easy to say go woke, go broke, but this would be in textbooks in colossal marketing mistakes, except the colleges are just as woke. They’ll provide cover for this unless someone wants to actually teach success.

No spin in the world is going to be able to hide the sales numbers. They thought it would blow over, but they underestimated how sick the normal person in America is getting from having this woke crap shoved down our throats by the coastal elites.

Keep hiring those Harvard grads to lower your sales even more. I’d be hiring a bunch of male toxicity employees who actually understood the product and the customer. I bet Don Draper would do better in his sleep than this.

Bias is bias, discrimination is discrimination. Disparaging someone for the color of their skin, any color is racist. It’s sexist to judge against another sex. Funny how they promote dozens of genders, but discriminate against males. They are doing what they blame others for, the heights of hypocrisy.

Yep, she’s gone. It says leave of absence, but when you cost your company at least 5 billion and counting, along with a century old reputation, your ass is history.

She’s going down as the girl who did the worst marketing campaign in history (Gillette may argue this one) all in the name of woke and inclusivity. A college freshman would identify this as the textbook example of f**king up to the extreme.

The controversial marketing exec behind Bud Light’s partnership with Dylan Mulvaney has taken a leave of absence as the boycott against the beer brand rages on.

Ad Age reports that “Alissa Heinerscheid, marketing VP for the brand since June 2022, has taken a leave of absence, the brewer confirmed, and will be replaced by Todd Allen, who was most recently global marketing VP for Budweiser.”

In an interview on the Make Yourself At Home podcast from March 23rd, Heinerscheid revealed that the brand was in decline and they needed to “attract young drinkers… then there will be no Bud Light,” which led to the controversial partnership with trans TikToker Dylan Mulvaney.

As soon as I saw the Bud Light campaign with the tranny Dylan fake-a-girl as spokesperson, I had to ask who could be that out of touch with a customer base.

I was almost positive that it was from the Ivy League and most likely Harvard. I also figured it had to be a girl. No straight Bud Light drinking man would think a tranny would be a good idea. The final guess was it was a someone who was woke.

What gets me is what executive at Budwiser gave this the green light when it got to his/her desk? This had loser written all over it that any redneck in mid-America would instinctively know.

Here you go. Every guess I made was right, not that it was hard given what a FUBAR decision this was.

My already rock bottom opinion of Harvard was able to go lower.

I now await the case study or new textbook of colossal marketing mistakes along with Gillette trashing it’s male base and losing $8 Billion. I wonder which one will lose the most money and customers (and loyalty).

I give it a short bus as it is that bad of a mistake. It just confirms what I learned in the working world, that an Ivy League degree and especially Harvard are among the most overrated and overpriced mistakes parents make.

How tough can it be to sell beer, especially Bud? Get some guys, some trucks, animals (likely dogs) and good looking actual girls. Then film at the beach, a sporting event or concert. If you don’t want to spend the money on loser executives and advertising campaigns, cut the price a bit and you just got a bigger college customer base.

Go woke and go broke, every damn time.

The three-day forum — which was hosted in a hybrid format by the Office for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging — included speakers from the Harvard Museum of Science and Culture, the Harvard University Native American Program, and Harvard’s faculty.

The forum featured a keynote speech from founder and president of Justice for Migrant Women Moníca Ramírez and a conversation with vice provost Sarah Bleich, who will oversee the implementation of Harvard’s Legacy of Slavery initative.

Harvard’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Sherri A. Charleston, who both attended and spoke at the event, wrote in an email to The Crimson that the forum was intended to provide Harvard affiliates with an opportunity to learn about diversity initiatives.

“The EDIB Forum, for me, is about passing the mic to those who don’t regularly have opportunities to participate, share ideas, or ask questions on a University-wide platform,” Charleston wrote. “There is a wealth of expertise here at Harvard, and the Forum is an opportunity for all of us, me included, to learn with and from nationally recognized experts.”

The event included discussion around Harvard’s reckoning with its legacy of slavery, Gen Z activism, and the ethical stewardship of the Harvard Museum Collections.

The forum occurred in light of controversy surrounding the stewardship of the remains of 19 individuals of African, African-American, and Brazilian descent who were likely to have been enslaved. According to a report by the University’s Steering Committee on Human Remains in Harvard Museum Collections, Harvard museums house the remains of more than 22,000 human individuals.

This oath is obsolete, now that killing children in the womb and sexually disfiguring them to advance a political agenda are considered “health care.” Columbia University — the American beachhead of the cultural Marxist Frankfurt School that has remained at the cutting edge of wokeness — provides an alternative:

The VP&S [Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons] Class of 2025 has more students from underrepresented minority backgrounds than any medical school class in Columbia’s history.

Formerly, medical schools took pride in their students’ aptitude. Now they take pride in the students not being white. This does not bode well for the future quality of healthcare.

Going forward, each incoming MD class will have the opportunity to create its own oath.

This is important, because what is politically correct one year can fall behind into thoughtcrime the next as we rush at an ever-accelerating speed toward absolute moonbattery.

Here’s how this year’s oath starts:

“We enter the profession of medicine with appreciation for the opportunity to build on the scientific and humanistic achievements of the past. We also recognize the acts and systems of oppression effected in the name of medicine. We take this oath of service to begin building a future grounded in truth, restoration, and equity to fulfill medicine’s capacity to liberate.”

The loaded buzzwords “oppression” “equity,” and “liberate” signify that medicine is not about medicine anymore. Like everything else that has fallen to the Long March Through the Institutions, it is about leftism.

Yale thinks climate change needs to be a part of the curriculum

The Institute of Sacred Music at Yale University has a new initiative that seeks to combine art, religion and concern for “ecological crises.”

Titled the “Religion, Ecology, and Expressive Culture Initiative,” the program’s aim is to “amplify cross-disciplinary and integrative work at the intersection of religion, ecology, and expressive culture,” according to its website.

Ryan Darr, the postdoctoral researcher who runs the program, told The College Fix via email that the goal is to “support and disseminate the work of scholars, artists and practitioners both at Yale and beyond.”

“Going forward, we hope that most of the initiative’s energy and resources will go to supporting the proposals of others,” Darr said in his email.

“Our plans for the initiative this semester include a webinar series titled ‘Mass Extinction: Art, Ritual, Story and the Sacred,’” Darr said. The initiative also plans an “art exhibition in April with Angela Manno called ‘Sacred Biodiversity: Icons of Threatened and Endangered Species.’”

Manno is an iconographer who “has brought the same kind of religious ‘reverence’ to nature by featuring endangered animals in her art,” the Yale Daily News reported.

“We’re also involved with the ‘Breath of Life’ concert, including a roundtable before the conference on images of Eden and the garden,” Darr told The Fix.

Dartmouth gets into DEI to ruin equity.

Dartmouth College hosted an event Jan. 31 to launch a three-year institutional program called “Towards Equity: Aligning Action and Accountability,” dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.

The College Fix attended the event along with approximately 125 people, mostly Dartmouth administrators and professors.

“The weight of systemic forms of oppression are heavy,” Shontay Delalue, who led the development of the three-year initiative, told the group at the event.

Delalue is senior vice president and senior diversity officer with the Dartmouth Division of Institutional Diversity and Equity. She has a doctorate in education and is an adjunct assistant professor of African and African American Studies, according to her university bio.

To Delalue, equity means “leveling the playing field” and giving people what they need as opposed to “giving everybody the same thing,” which she would define as equality, she told The Fix in an interview. “Equity is making sure that in policies and practices that people who have not been given access in the past are now getting access, so it’s leveling the playing field, not just making sure everybody has the same exact thing.”

Harvard Does It Again, Every Time I Think They Can’t Ruin Their Academics Further, They Do

Here are two examples that just came through. A diploma from there comes with a woke minor in any discipline. Were I a hiring manager, I’d shuffle these students to the bottom. Not only are they doing the below, but the parents are way overpaying for this.

Harvard Law Journal Applicants Must List Race and Sexual Orientation for Article Submissions

Harvard Law School’s journal Civil Rights and Civil Liberties requires that applicants submit their sexual orientation, gender identity and race for their article submissions to be considered, a relatively new requirement for the publication.

Also required are the applicant’s pronouns, whether they have a disability, and whether they are a first-generation professional or student, according to the “Author Submission Form” Google document for the journal.

There is more at the link, but how about the merit of being a critical thinker instead of a color? How is this not racist or sexist?

Harvard Medical School’s Climate Change Curriculum Examines How it Impacts ‘Health and Health Inequality’

The Harvard School of Public Health’s Caleb Dresser said students and faculty “have been pushing” to add a climate change component into the HMS studies for some time.

“Many graduates of Harvard Medical School go on to leadership positions in medicine and beyond,” Dresser said. “It’s going to be increasingly important for people in leadership roles in healthcare and other industries to integrate climate change and climate-related hazards into their strategic decision making as they lead organizations.”

[Student Benjamin] Grobman said changes in the Medical School’s curriculum are just one step toward addressing the impacts of climate change on health care.

“It has to go beyond that, and I think that’s something that hopefully we can start to do in the future,” he said. “But I think curriculum is essential because it really lays the groundwork for people to be thinking about these issues.”

HMS student Madeleine C. Kline said though medical education remains outside of her core passions, the potential for enhanced patient care has motivated her to push to modify the curriculum.

“Every student who comes through the Medical School will leave with an understanding of what climate change is and what it means for their patients,” she said. “I think it is going to mean a lot for their patients.”

The fact that these two teloi are mutually exclusive has been highlighted at Cornell University where the SIPS Diversity and Inclusion Council claims on an official website of the CALS School of Integrative Plant Science (SIPS):

The Council’s vision is for an inclusive SIPS community that flourishes because it values and supports diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. It recognizes that our institution was founded on and perpetuates various injustices. These include settler colonialism, indigenous dispossession, slavery, racism, classism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, antisemitism, and ableism.

Does anyone who is reading this now believe that Cornell perpetuates slavery? Does anyone in charge of perpetuating this website care whether this claim is fact or fiction, true or false—a fundamental concern of science at a university? Sadly, as documented in The College Fix and by Constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley, the answer is no.

When the search for truth is subservient to another telos, authoritarianism becomes more likely. As reported in Current Biology, in an 2020 interview with Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg, former President Obama admonished,

If we do not have the capacity to distinguish what’s true from what’s false, then by definition the marketplace of ideas doesn’t work. And by definition our democracy doesn’t work. We are entering into an epistemological crisis.

“Caring for Patients with Diverse Sexual Orientations, Gender Identities, and Sex Development,” a regularly available med school course, promises to give students a chance to work with “patients [who] identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex or asexual.”

The course description explicitly includes infants — i.e., babies less than 1 year old.

Prelingual babies would not be able to share the details of their perverse sexual proclivities even if they had any. But this doesn’t matter, because the LGBTism comes from woke parents, until kids are old enough for schools to provide indoctrination in progressive sexual ideology.

Ivy League college credit can be earned by evangelizing on behalf of the LGBT agenda:

Students in the course may also “engage in a mentored scholarly endeavor” such as “advocacy, quality improvement, medical education, original research, or public health project.”

The directors of the course are Alex Keuroghlian and Alberto Puig. They also work at Massachusetts General Hospital, where the course is held. This hospital performs horrific sex change surgeries starting at age 18. In addition,

It also has a patient guide telling parents how to support their child’s “transgender journey” by affirming an identity contrary to their biological sex.

Let’s not single out Mass General:

Another institution involved in the course is Boston Children’s Hospital, which became the center of a national controversy in August due to videos of employees promoting “a full suite of surgical options for transgender teens,” including vaginoplasties and hysterectomies. One video contained the claim that children can know they’re transgender “from the womb.”

What’s more,

Keuroghlian has authored research that connected transgender drugs and surgeries to better mental health outcomes for patients. He has also condemned government restrictions on the procedures.

You do not have to attend a prestigious and outlandishly expensive medical school to know that people cannot be transformed into members of the opposite sex. Harvard students are taught to unknow it.

Because that is what it is. It’s like the longest drive, fastest car, number of wins your team got, name it.

There are some that are hard to top. They are conversation stoppers, also one of my favorites.

I won’t compare it to my schools because I put as much distance as I can from both my high school and college, both school and people. Those people would lose every time to the non-woke army.

If it weren’t for the Nazi thing, this would be the ultimate dick measuring contest for a school. Based on my work experience, I’ve noted how overrated the Ivy League schools are, and you can include others like UNC-CH, Duke and most California schools. They turn out losers now that are more concerned about gender and race than history and education.

Still, if it came down to it and someone started giving me the Harvard or Notre Dame speech. I’d like to say I’m from the Panzer School and we’d blow your doors off, literally. That’s a show stopper.

It’s like someone bragging they play golf and you answer, Hi, I’m Tiger Woods.

Harvard Not Only Discriminates, But Worst Of All Discriminates Based On Skin Color

I’ve written about Harvard based on my work experience with their graduates. To a person, they were not properly trained and always tried some classroom methods that slowed down our work and always failed. We had to undo it and then do things the right way. They consistently over estimated their abilities.

I have the same lack of respect for UNC-CH for the same reason. Additionally, UNC-CH was part of the Fauci gain of function Covid research that took place with the Wuhan labs.

I worked in RTP and while the Tar Heel graduates were at least better workers than those from Harvard, they came with the same attitude that we gave a shit where they went to college vs what they could do to help our company.

HERE IS WHAT THEY DID

Harvard and UNC are being sued because they allegedly (HA) discriminate(d) against Asians. Why? Because they have higher GPA’s and test scores, but are of the wrong skin color for diversity and wokeness.

You’d think that for prestige, you’d want the best and the brightest, but Harvard and by extension the Ivy League and Duke (UNC-CH isn’t that great, I lived there and watched who went and who came out, they didn’t get into Harvard so they wound up there).

Instead, they want to be woke, show diversity, embarrass the Alumni and further taint the reputation and respect for the institution and it’s graduates.

The Petition for review by SCOTUS:

Harvard uses race at every stage of the admissions process. To begin, Harvard recruits high-school students differently based on race. App.154-56. African-American and Hispanic students with PSAT scores of 1100 and up are invited to apply to Harvard, but white and Asian-American students must score a 1350. JA.577:6-581:20; JA.3741. In some parts of the country, Asian-American applicants must score higher than all other racial groups, including whites, to be recruited by Harvard.

Harvard’s admissions data revealed astonishing racial disparities in admission rates among similarly qualified applicants. SFFA’s expert testified that applicants with the same “academic index” (a metric created by Harvard based on test scores and GPA) had widely different admission rates by race. App.179-80; JA.6008-09. For example, an Asian American in the fourth-lowest decile has virtually no chance of being admitted to Harvard (0.9%); but an African American in that decile has a higher chance of admission (12.8%) than an Asian American in the top decile (12.7%).

THE RESULT

The Legal Insurrection Foundation filed an Amicus Brief in support of the Asian students. It provides, in part:

The grand judicial experiment of excusing racial discrimination in university admissions in the hope it would promote the educational objective of diversity of viewpoint has failed, and accordingly, this Court should overrule or modify its holding in Grutter v. Bollinger, 539 U.S. 306 (2003) (“Grutter”). Despite the Court permitting the use of race in higher education admissions, viewpoint diversity is increasingly endangered on campus. Since Grutter, the range of viewpoints permitted on campus, particularly on matters regarding race, has narrowed. It’s time to return to the constitutional prohibition against racial discrimination without an exception for education.

It goes on to say:

The dirty little secret of higher-ed admissions is that achieving a desired “diverse” racial mix means discriminating against Asian applicants — or at least, secret until Students for Fair Admissions exposed it.

The higher-ed establishment is brazenly defending its race-conscious admissions in dozens of amicus briefs…

The statistics are shocking. As SFFA noted in its Harvard petition, “an Asian American in the fourth-lowest decile has virtually no chance of being admitted to Harvard (0.9%); but an African American in that decile has a higher chance of admission (12.8%) than an Asian American in the top decile (12.7%).”

Such unequal treatment followed the 2003 Supreme Court decision in Grutter v. Bollinger permitting schools’ temporary, limited use of race as one of many factors for the desired educational objective of viewpoint diversity. Harvard and other schools have used this loophole to drive de facto illegal racial quotas, using admissions subterfuges like personal scores and a “holistic” approach reminiscent of the methodologies Harvard developed a century ago to limit Jewish enrollment….

Not a single college or university supported the Asian students. To the contrary, several dozen briefs were filed against SFFA on behalf of hundreds of colleges, universities, higher-education and professional-school associations, teachers unions, more than 1,000 professors and deans and even college basketball coaches.

One of the most striking things about these briefs is the openness with which colleges admit to having racial preferences and their complete lack of sympathy for the Asian victims of discrimination.

The American Bar Association, which accredits law schools, bluntly demanded the court “not ban race-conscious admissions policies.” The University of California president and chancellors argued that “universities must retain the ability to engage in the limited consideration of race.”

A group of highly competitive schools including most of the Ivy League claimed, “No race-neutral alternative presently can fully replace race-conscious individualized and holistic review to obtain the diverse student body.”

Without racial preferences, in other words, these schools could not achieve their desired racial mix….

HURTING MINORITIES

So Harvard lets in those who it knows won’t be able to make it (look up STEM studies, entrance vs graduation), saddle them with excessive student loan debt and then let them get a degree in the Arts, for those who stick it out. They enter the job world penalized by both knowledge and debt.

The rest of them will be ok as long as they stay with their alumni buddies. Work is just the next Ivy League club anyway, going by their definition.

SMH, Harvard Wants To Go Full Communist

Equality of outcome is communism. The benefit of a degree from such a school would mean that you were the elite. Now, you don’t know if they worked hard and learned or coasted. The Harvard benefit is meaningless now.

Real Equality is equal opportunity. People will decide the real outcome no matter what Harvard says because human nature dictates that some will do better or worse than others. To not acknowledge that shows a lack of understanding of history and lack of intelligence. That is what Harvard is striving towards with this Diktat.

Save your money and go to a real school where meritocracy will give you a real education.

Harvard panelists want ‘bold societal change’ which includes ‘equality of outcomes’

Panelists at a Harvard University event on equity last Friday called for “bold societal change” to eradicate the vestiges of racism and sexism.

This includes, according to at least one participant, ensuring “equality of outcomes.”

The Truth and Transformation Conference, hosted by the Kennedy School Ash Center’s Institutional Antiracism and Accountability Project, was hosted by Harvard American Studies PhD candidate Mary McNeil, The Crimson reports.

McNeil’s dissertation asks in part “What critiques did [Black, Native, and Afro-Native peoples] proffer of [Massachusetts] as a crucial site in the development of an anti-Black, settler-colonial nation?”

Asian Americans Advancing Justice President John Yang told the panel “it is important to acknowledge that racial groups experience racism differently.” Eschewing the concept of equal treatment for everyone, Yang said “[T]hat’s not right, because the reality is, different communities have suffered in different ways.”

Yang backs efforts to combat alleged “disinformation,” saying platforms like Facebook and Twitter need to be better at it: “Let’s be clear: there is a campaign out there that is trying to distort a lot of what is happening in society […] part of it is on all of us to make sure that we are contributing to getting the right information that is out there” (emphasis added).

AAAJ purports to “advocate for an America in which all Americans can benefit equally from, and contribute to, the American dream.” Which means it lobbies for progressive initiatives du jour, like overturning former President Trump’s misnamed “Muslim ban.”

Panelist Eric Ward, director of the Western States Center, said all of society needs to “invest in transforming power structures to achieve aspirations surrounding equity.” He added that “recognizing systemic racism and sexism is key to ensuring that everyone can ‘live, love, worship, and work free from fear and bigotry.’”

Ward’s WSC offers “toolkits” for purchase such as that regarding “Indigenizing Love” (“supports Native youth, tribal communities, Two-Spirit and Native LGBTQIA+ collectives”) and “Confronting White Nationalism in Schools.”

Perhaps the most eye-raising statement was from panelist Halima Begum, chief executive of the Runnymede Trust, allegedly the United Kingdom’s “leading independent race equality think tank.” Begum said “non-governmental institutions, such as news platforms and corporations, are also responsible for ensuring ‘equality of outcomes.’”

I can’t lose any more respect for Harvard because I don’t have any. They just met my expectations that are already at the bottom of the barrel.

Dumbing Down Harvard, Again – And How They Went Woke

I wrote about the decline of the education you get there a while back and thought it would improve. I guessed wrong.

You can read about it in the link above, but the old boys club is wearing off. Their most recently famous alums actually were drop outs. They also did the best in life.

Now to the rest of the story.

Of course, there is the Covid madness. The supposedly smartest students have had to go to class online again because of……you guessed it:

“In recent days, we’ve seen a steady rise in breakthrough infections among our student population, despite high vaccination rates and frequent testing”

These idiots have bought into the false narrative, despite the growing evidence (Israel, UK and the opposite in Sweden) that the inoculation (if it were a vaccine it would have worked) is the panacea.

Harvard University states on its website that 95% of students and 96% of employees are vaccinated, and notes that “COVID-19 testing requirements remain in place for every member of the community who is authorized to be on campus this fall, including those who come to campus infrequently. The Dashboard data is relative to individuals, living both on and off campus, authorized to participate in Harvard’s COVID-19 screening.”

Data from Israel reportedly showed earlier this month that “’fully vaccinated’” people are 27 times more likely to be infected and develop COVID-19 symptoms than unvaccinated people with natural immunity,” and “‘fully vaccinated’ people are 8 times more likely to be hospitalized from a ‘breakthrough’ infection.”

WHY THIS MATTERS

Building relationships to take into the business world is the big benefit of going to one of these antiquated halls of ignorance. Harvard creates the biggest “Old Boys Club (including girls)” because of their interaction in group projects and going out together.

This just nixed the big benefit other than bragging that you paid too much to say that you went there.

We already knew in the real business world that outside of NY and Massachusetts, anyone coming in with a degree from Harvard meant that they were going to be a drag on productivity. Some finally came around to what real life teaches you, but we still had to put up with their nonsense until they either left or realized how the world actually works.

CANCEL CULTURE

The students have shown an inability to understand sarcasm from one of their own, a Law Professor with some actually creditable certifications:

Adrian Vermeule, Harvard Law School Professor And Intellectual Iconoclast:

This story of cancel culture would be laughable were it not for the fact that it is so serious. It involves an attempt by four Harvard Law School student groups to interfere in the employment of, and damage the career of, Professor Adrian Vermeule.

This reflects an ongoing attempt by l******g students to purge academia of viewpoints that do not perfectly align with the social justice and Black Lives Matter orthodoxy. Much like during Mao’s Cultural Revolution, students lead the way in belittling and trying to damage dissident professors, with public shaming and institutional ritualized denunciations preferred methods of intimidation.

Here was his crime, tweeting this:

For example, as unsubstantiated allegations of widespread voter fraud spread following the election, Prof. Vermeule tweeted “ Lol the election isn’t over until Team Joe fixes up your ballot for you ” and “Kids, not sure if you knew this, but missing ballots have magical properties that make them visible only between midnight and 6am .” His post-election retweets included statements such as “ Even a Saddam Hussein had to make some pretence of not getting 100% of the vote in an Iraqi election … ‘Baghdad on the Delaware .’” And these examples only scratch the surface. Prof. Vermeule may try to play off his statements as a joke, but they amount to a pattern of promoting demonstrably false conspiracy theories. His statements are harmful to democracy and unbelievably divisive. To work at Harvard Law School is to be granted a platform and a level of legitimacy. Prof. Vermeule is abusing this platform in order to undermine democracy and delegitimize the results of the election.

Are you kidding me? This stuff is funny, and even if it’s not funny to some Harvard Law students.

WHY THIS MATTERS

An intelligent mind can entertain both sides of an argument without taking sides to fully understand the context. Whether or not they choose to side with one or the other would result from critical thinking and the ability to judge based on facts and history.

This current group of woke automatons rushes to judgement before the facts are known and worse, believe they are right because of where they are studying rather than being smart.

ENTRANCE EXAM DISCRIMINATION AGAINST MINORITIES

This takes two different paths. They reduce the entrance standards for some minorities who then can’t keep up. They are then stuck with a huge amount of debt and no benefit. They are having to take remedial courses and drop out of STEM studies.

Conversely, Harvard discriminates against those with the ability to qualify, but don’t have the proper heritage.

Here is what I’m referring to:

Adam Mortara, another attorney representing Students for Fair Admissions, accused Harvard of giving Asian-Americans significantly lower ratings for certain personal qualities, such as leadership and compassion, than other races, according to the Washington Post.

“Harvard has engaged in, and continues to engage in, intentional discrimination against Asian-Americans,” Mortara said.

A Harvard University dean testified that the school has different SAT score standards for prospective students based on factors such as race and sex — but insisted that the practice isn’t discriminatory, as a trial alleging racism against Asian-American applicants began this week.

The Ivy League school was sued in 2014 by the group Students for Fair Admissions, which claims that Asian-American students, despite top-notch academic records, had the lowest admission rate among any race.

He said Harvard sends recruitment letters to African-American, Native American and Hispanic high schoolers with mid-range SAT scores, around 1100 on math and verbal combined out of a possible 1600, CNN reported.

Asian-Americans only receive a recruitment letter if they score at least 250 points higher — 1350 for women, and 1380 for men.

This discrimination has now reached the Supreme Court.

GOING WOKE

Being woke is a crime of idiocy. You shouldn’t expect that of an institution heralded (not anymore) for their intelligence and education. Harvard has managed to pull it off spectacularly.

Now, at the beginning of the third decade of the 21st century, ‘political correctness’ on campus is taken for granted. But what I experienced then was less the direct coercive tyranny of leftism than a pervasive culture of capitulation and pusillanimity, with everyone from administrators to deans and professors to students and even the campus police looking over his or her shoulder in fear of censure by others. The fear was only justified on the part of those being silenced: at one Harvard event, Ayaan Hirsi Ali required stricter security arrangements than did many heads of state.

The affirmative action that Harvard implemented required lying. Departments looking for the ‘best’ person to fill a position were obliged to demonstrate, not that they had conducted a fair and open search, but rather that they had interviewed an appropriate percentage of women and other ‘minorities’. Since individual merit and group diversity are contradictory goals, the entire process was corrupt irrespective of outcome. At one departmental meeting, when the chair asked us to supply arguments for a member’s candidacy for promotion, someone at the table hooted, ‘Why bother with all this? He’s Hispanic!’ I was the only one who laughed at this eruption of suppressed truth.

IN CONCLUSION BUT PROBABLY NOT

Those of us who have been in the real world know that real world experience trumps a diploma. Sure, it will get you in the door, but those with the ability to adapt, lead and have the above stated ability of critical thinking are the ones you want to keep.

If they keep up this idiocy, those outside of the Northeast (OK, California, Portland and Washington – both of them are just as woke and dumb) won’t want them if they intend on surviving.

Save your money unless you have a Wall Street connection ready. Everyone thinking alike and acting with the same wokeness is of little benefit to the concept of an ongoing concern of a business, a FASB standard.
