The 5th Column, How The US Is Being Defeated

First, here is a definition of the Fifth Column.

A fifth column is any group of people who undermine a larger group or nation from within, usually in favor of an enemy group or another nation. According to Harris Mylonas and Scott Radnitz, “fifth columns” are “domestic actors who work to undermine the national interest, in cooperation with external rivals of the state.” The activities of a fifth column can be overt or clandestine.

Here is what is going on. The facts below connect the dots as to who is trying to destroy America from within. Another country probably can’t destroy us yet, but they are doing everything they can to subvert us from within and buy off politicians to create destructive policies.

Black Lives Matter Announces Support for Palestinian Hamas is the same group destroying cities in the US

Yes, there are massive geopolitical interests at stake in the Hamas attack against Israel. Yes, there are layers and layers of massive multinational corporate investments into the process of energy control, capture and change that is driven by competing interests. Yes, those trillions at stake are playing out in the world from Iran to Israel, to Ukraine, to Russia, to Azerbaijan, to Turkey, to Africa, and beyond. {Go Deep}

Yes, all of the political and state actors are playing a role and using their military resources as part of the positioning process. China, Russia, Iran, The United States, Europe, NATO, etc, all positioning and in the background trillions upon trillions being discussed and fought for. Yes, the ultimate high stakes public-private partnerships are leveraging everything right now…..

The ideological interests behind the 2010/ ’11 “Arab Spring” uprising were the same ideological interests behind the 2020 “Black Lives Matter” protests/uprising.  Not merely similar people, but the exact same people.

The exact same group of U.S. people who were promoting the Mid-East Arab Spring in 2010/’11, are the same people who promoted the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests.   The same politicians, the same media voices, the same newspapers, the same social media activists. Almost every participant, and their support for the uprising ’10 -vs- ’20 was identical, including the platforms deployed.

The Brotherhood is essentially the umbrella organization for a multitude of Islamic factions.  In essence, the Muslim Brotherhood represents political Islam. Similarly, if you look at the structure of Black Lives Matter, they too represent an umbrella-type structure for a network of individual political grievance groups.

Both groups, the Muslim Brotherhood (aka Hamas) and Black Lives Matter, represent a cultural revolution by the results of their activity.

It is not accidental that BLM brotherhood supports the Palestinian terrorist network represented by Hamas.

♦ In 2010, the Brotherhood had al-Qaeda and militant factions within ISIS.  In 2020, BLM had the New Black Panthers and militant factions within Antifa.

♦ In 2010, the Brotherhood tore down statues and symbols they identified as culturally oppressive to their political views.  In 2020, BLM tore down statues and symbols they identified as oppressive to their political views.

♦ In 2010, the Brotherhood burned books, destroyed history and removed their cultural opposition by force.  In 2020, BLM promoted burning books, destroying history and cancelling their cultural opposition by force.

♦ In 2010, the Brotherhood used social media to organize their political activity, and Big Tech facilitated by setting up local networks for protest.  In 2020, BLM used social media to organize their political media, and Big Tech facilitated by deploying all local networks to assist.

♦ In 2010, the Brotherhood attacked the police and framed their Islamist movement as oppressed by law enforcement.  In 2020, BLM attacked the police and framed their movement as oppressed by law enforcement.

♦ In 2010, the Brotherhood destroyed the notions of secularism and viciously attacked any form of Christianity, including burning churches. In 2020, BLM advocated against secularism and viciously attacked Christianity – including the burning of churches, while conspicuously never criticizing any element of Islam.

♦ In 2010, the Brotherhood was very strategic, as they hoodwinked moderate Islamic supporters into voting them into power.  Once in power, they removed all of the institutional systems, government offices, judges, constitutional balances, local elections, and anything that would impede their ultimate stranglehold on power.  Sharia Law replaced common legislative law.   As a result, the ordinary population was brutalized, property was taken by force; businesses were taken by force and the Islamic regime now controlled every element of their lives.

How Obama Enabled Hamas’ Terror Attack on Israel

In Jerusalem, 2017 began with a terrorist ramming a truck into Israeli cadets who were getting off the bus. Four of the Israelis, three of them women, were killed, and over a dozen more were injured. Fadi al-Qanbar, the terrorist, was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers, but his widow was set to receive a lifetime monthly pension of 2,900 Israeli shekels from the Palestinian Authority for his crime.[i] The average salary in the West Bank is 1,720 NIS. Even though the terrorist had allegedly been inspired by ISIS,[ii] the Palestinian Authority media had described him as a “Shahid” or religious martyr for Islam.[iii] Despite this latest act, which demonstrated the linkage between our foreign aid to the Palestinian Authority, Islamic terrorism, even terrorism related to ISIS, and the murder of Israelis, the money kept coming. A few weeks after the mass murder of Israelis in Jerusalem, the Obama administration rushed to transfer $221 million in funds to the Palestinian Authority that Republicans had been blocking.[iv]

Hours before President Trump was inaugurated, Secretary of State John Kerry rushed the money to the terrorists. What kind of a difference would that $221 million make? The Palestinian Authority’s Martyrs Fund budget for 2017 allocated $153 million in salaries to terrorists who had been or were imprisoned by Israel and another $190 million to the families of the terrorists.[v] The $221 million amounted to a sizable percentage of the “Pay to Slay” budget that was used to incentivize murders like these. And it paid off. The number of Israelis killed in terrorist attacks increased in 2017.[vi] The number of lone wolf attack plots rose from 400 to 1,100. And the Martyrs Fund was a key mechanism for incentivizing these attacks, assuring surviving terrorists of a generous lifetime income and, in the event of their deaths, giving them the comfort of knowing that no matter what happens, their families will be very well taken care of.

In 2016, the Obama administration had illegally transferred $1.7 billion to Iran.[xi] The deputy chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed credit for the ransom.[xii] The IRGC is a hub of Islamic terrorism in the region and was designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by President Trump.[xiii] “We can always hand it over to someone who can hand it over to the IRGC,” State Department spokesman Mark Toner admitted.[xiv] Meanwhile the Obama administration had even tried to give Iran access to the United States financial system, converting billions into dollars and then euros.[xv] After the $1.7 billion payment, Iran increased its military budget by that same amount.[xvi] It’s been estimated that 65 percent of the military budget goes to the IRGC.[xvii]

And the IRGC funds, trains, and aids a variety of Islamic terrorist groups, including Hamas. That includes the missiles that Hamas has been firing at Israel and that have fallen on Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.[xviii] The billions in sanctions relief allowed Iran to increase its investment in conflicts in the region.[xix] In 2017, Hamas announced that it had resumed receiving aid from Iran.[xx] In 2019, Iran boosted aid to Hamas from $70 million a year to $30 million a month.[xxi] Beyond Hamas, Iran also backs Islamic Jihad (PIJ), which was at the center of the latest round of rocket attacks on Israel in the fall of 2019. These rockets were, like Hamas’s rockets, developed with the assistance of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The extent of Iran’s involvement in Islamic terrorism in Israel can be measured by an admission by Ali Akbar Velayati, foreign affairs adviser to the Supreme Leader of Iran that, “most of the weapons used by the Palestinians came from Iran, or that Iran help[ed] the Palestinians manufacture the weapons themselves.”[xxii]

They overwhelmingly favor the Left. A staggering 95% of unionized federal employees who donate to political candidates give to Democrats, according to Open Secrets. Only a tiny 5% support Republicans.

The Harvard professor Claudia Goldin has won the Nobel economics prize in recognition of her groundbreaking work examining wage inequality between men and women.

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences said on Monday that Goldin’s research “provided the first comprehensive account of women’s earnings and labour market participation through the centuries” to reveal “the causes of change, as well as the main sources of the remaining gender gap”.

She becomes only the third woman to win the prize, after Elinor Ostrom in 2009 and Esther Duflo in 2019. The prestigious award is worth 11m Swedish kronor (£819,000).

Wage inequality is liberal speak for men are bad because they work hard to support their families. Females who don’t take time off to raise a family are earning the same. It is victimhood 101.

Ibram X. Kendi, Race Hustler Just Like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton

The controversy surrounding race hustler and grifter Ibram Kendi keeps taking intriguing turns. A few weeks ago, news emerged that Kendi’s race-baiting non-profit was facing financial troubles, with a significant amount of funds unaccounted for. Currently, an investigation is underway regarding the substantial sum of missing money, totaling millions of dollars, in fact and Kendi is at the center of it all.

Under investigation at Kendi’s center are issues related to “culture and grant management practices,” a Boston University spokesperson told The National Desk (TND) Thursday. The center, which was founded shortly after the murder of George Floyd in 2020, has raised tens of millions of dollars to finance a number of projects, including graduate programs, a racial disparities database and a media venture.

While some of these projects have come to completion, others have not, including the database, which some have described as the “centerpiece” of the organization.

“I don’t know where the money is,” a Boston University professor who previously worked at the center told The Boston Globe.

Well, now we may know where a huge chunk of that money went. It turns out that a large portion was going to Kendi’s family. Back in September 2020, right after Ibram X. Kendi established the Center for Antiracist Research at Boston University, the university approved a $600,000 mortgage for an undisclosed professor. While the recipient’s identity remains a university secret, the funds were allocated to a trust that was managed by Kendi’s brother-in-law, Macharia Edmonds. Things that make you go hmmm, right? This massive mortgage was for a luxurious $4.56 million penthouse triplex, Public real estate records confirm Macharia Edmonds – the brother-in-law is control over the trust. He was also a former Obama campaign official, of course.

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson preceded him by telling corporations that they would call them racists if they didn’t pay them extortion money. It is grifting for money based on hate and lying.

None of these three have advanced the betterment of POC. They were lining their pockets based on a lie.

Racism is racism and color doesn’t matter. It is intent. These men perverted what could have been done to help people for their own benefit and sold out their own race.

Columbus Discovered Nothing Really

Biden Gives Iran $7 Billion, Hamas Attacks Israel

Countries should never negotiate with terrorists. If you give an inch, they will want more and are never satisfied. If you give anything, the other country has the upper hand. They can smell weak leaders a mile away.

Biden gave the Iranians 7 billion in funds released in one of the worst hostage deals ever. It is as bad as Obama sending pallets of money to Iran in the night, bypassing Congress and everything the US stands for.

It’s no surprise then that Hamas, the proxy for Iran attacked Israel this weekend. They are now funded for war and both (either Hamas/Iran or Democrats/Iran) hate Israel and the Jews.

The WSJ is reporting that Iran helped plan the attack on Israel in Beirut, Lebanon and gave the go ahead for the attack last Monday.

Meanwhile the Biden administration is claiming they have seen no evidence that Iran was involved.

‘We are being slaughtered’: Israelis cry for help as Hamas militants break into homes

This editorializing is mine. I don’t think females should be soldiers. They are not as strong and present a much greater threat of abuse when captured.

In one of the videos, geolocated by CNN to the neighborhood of Shejaiya in Gaza, a barefoot woman is seen being pulled from the trunk of a Jeep by a gunman and then forced into the back seat of the car. Her face is bleeding, and her wrists appear to be cable-tied behind her back. The Jeep appears to have an IDF license plate, suggesting it may have been stolen and brought into Gaza.

The Muslim terrorists from Iran and Hamas rape and desecrate the bodies of females as part of their culture. We shouldn’t subject our women to that. Instead, we should give them a helping of the baddest and toughest ass kickers we have.

2024 elections are around the corner. How about electing some strong leaders who are for protecting people instead of giving blood money to terrorists screaming allahu akbar. we need people who will have the guts to make strong decisions, instead of being compromised by bribes and bought off, something in every branch of our system.

79 Colleges To Not Send Your Kids To

If they still believe the Covid vaccine actually works on the population least likely to get sick from it, you shouldn’t waste money sending kids there. They proved they don’t believe the facts or science.

No College Mandates, an advocacy group that argues against the Covid-19 vaccine for higher education, counts 79 colleges and universities that require their students to be vaccinated this fall semester. 

“There are 79 colleges in the US still mandating COVID vaccines when there should be zero just like the rest of the world. Do Not Comply!” No College Mandates posted on X. 

The advocacy group said “COVID injections for one of the lowest risk populations” is “insanity.” They added higher education has “zero efficacy and safety data for the the newly approved COVID injections. It is incomprehensible that this remains a reality.”

The world and the media and especially Social Media is trying to tell you how to live, what to say, what is politically correct and so forth. It’s so much shit that you don’t know which way to turn.

I’m finding that staying to myself makes it easier. I don’t have to fit into the world’s definitions of what I should be doing instead of what I want to do. It used to be a lot easier before the Karen’s and Chad’s tried to build their power base by judging others. I got fed up enough of that crap with the high school childish games we suffered through.

I decided to grow up and make my own rules. It’s because I’m an introvert and didn’t do stuff like get the Covid Jab. I’m not as accepted for what I believe, but like Groucho Marx said, I’d never belong to a club that would have me as a member. It’s made my life a lot easier.

This is the way they want you to behave on social media now. I had to eliminate that to not drive myself nuts. I got the added benefit of not having to find out what others did to try and make themselves feel better when they got likes. My favorite benefit was re-losing people I was able to move on earlier in life. They found me on social media, but I already removed them once for a reason.

The way I looked at it, if I wanted to stay connected (or we wanted to together) we would have. Not for likes. I guess I just don’t care enough what they did after we parted ways all those years ago. I got to lose family that made life difficult also.

I get some love to reconnect and rehash things, but I already did that in my private journal. If it was that good, I wouldn’t need social media to see what they ate or drank while doing stuff I didn’t care about.

This version of non English is how social media is. Almost non-sequitur.

With all the bullshit with the lying about the politicians and covering up by the media, if I get too involved with it, this happens to me

I can always revert to my introverted life and spend time alone with my thoughts and pets. That way people aren’t ruining my life as much.

The next one is the MSM and other truth hating people trying to cancel James O’Keefe from Project Veritas. If you don’t know them, they break all the lies told by politicians, celebtards, child killers like planned parenthood and deep state critters. They ousted O’Keefe and went bankrupt. O’keefe started another company and is still a rousing success for truth in what is going on.

Project Veritas suspended all operations this week and laid off its remaining journalists just months after the organization’s board ousted its founder James O’Keefe. Since then the organization has been under siege by staff revolts, board chaos, poor fundraising, and ongoing prosecutions and litigation by Democrats and the Biden regime.

Project Veritas was one of the most consequential and feared conservative news outlets in the country for the past decade. Democrats and corrupt public officials grew to hate its founder O’Keefe and his organization after years of exposing public fraud and corruption.

James O’Keefe left as Project Veritas’ CEO in February after a dispute with the organization’s board when O’Keefe tried to fire the Chief Financial Officer Tom O’Hara. This then set off a staff conflict where 18 Veritas staffers demanded James resign. Once James was pushed out, then the staffers loyal to O’Keefe left.

FIRE Ranks Harvard Dead Last for Free Speech

“What’s more, granting Harvard a score of 0.00 is generous. Its actual score is -10.69, more than six standard deviations below the average and more than two standard deviations below the second-to-last school in the rankings”

People tend to think of Harvard as the best, the gold standard of higher education. Yet they just got rated as the worst in one of the most important aspects of education: free speech.

The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) monitors and defends free speech and has given Harvard the worst rating possible in its annual rankings.

The New York Post reports:

Harvard is named worst school for free speech — scoring zero out of possible 100

Harvard University is officially 2023’s worst school for free speech.

The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) released its annual college free speech rankings on Wednesday, which dubbed the state of free speech at the Ivy League school “abysmal.”

“I’m not totally surprised,” Sean Stevens, director of polling and analytics at FIRE, told The Post. “We’ve done these rankings for years now, and Harvard is consistently near the bottom.”

Despite being the most acclaimed academic institution in the country, Harvard received a 0.00-point free speech ranking on a 100-point scale — a full 11 points behind the next-worst school.

Harvard is consistently ranked one of the best universities in the United States. But FIRE frequently finds itself in the odd position of giving this all-star academic school failing grades.

Simply put, Harvard has never performed well in FIRE’s College Free Speech Rankings, finishing below 75% of the schools surveyed in each of the past four years.

In 2020, Harvard ranked 46 out of 55 schools. In 2021, it ranked 130 out of 154 schools. Last year, it ranked 170 out of 203 schools. And this year, Harvard completed its downward spiral in dramatic fashion, coming in dead last with the worst score ever: 0.00 out of a possible 100.00. This earns it the notorious distinction of being the only school ranked this year with an “Abysmal” speech climate.

What’s more, granting Harvard a score of 0.00 is generous. “So, I turned back to Biden’s article, and there it was,” he said. “He had lifted language straight out of a [Supreme Court] opinion, changed a couple words, and called them his own. There were no quote marks and no footnote or anything else attributing the court as the source.”

Habits That Will Make You Poor

My son called it wearing your paycheck. Various genders, ethnicities and race all have their favorite names.

They will make you poor in more than you wallet. Many will kill your health, shortening your lifespan. A lot of them will prevent you from retiring early or keeping out of debt.

As an Introvert, I hate people that show off or have to prove they are something because of what they have or do.

People should notice what you do and who you are rather than showing off. That is a terrible trait.

I shake my head when I drive by a Starbucks and the line is long. Over priced coffee is just coffee at the end of the cup. Then you are a dumbass.

What It Was Like Working At IBM

I watched people when I worked there called the thinkers. They didn’t do anything or contribute, yet didn’t get penalized so we called them thinkers. It’s sarcasm of course, but there was a lot of dead weight.

There was also FUMU, fuck up move up. They’d promote you or move you to another group if you were trouble or made mistakes.

No matter how many layoffs they have, you can still get lost in the system and not work much while getting a paycheck. You can keep your job despite being incompetent.

The other thing is to brown nose in the office headquarters in New York. While there was considerable backstabbing there, you had an advantage over remote office employees. They were allowed an extra grade of incompetence for being inside the curtain of prejudice in the headquarters. The ratings at review time were better if you worked at the club.

They had some of the most brilliant people, there were others who made me question how they kept the doors open some days.

Remember when Elon Musk restricted users and claimed it was because the platform content was being “scraped” by organizations who were using the content to train their Enhanced AI systems?  Remember, Musk saying that, and expressing his concern?   Well, now the platform is telling users in a new X Corp privacy policy, that X corp itself is going to do exactly the thing Musk said he abhorred.

CNN drew criticism and mockery after it published a nearly 2,000-word essay on the use and history of neopronouns on Saturday, including how to address a person who refers to themselves as a “leaf.” 

In the article titled “A guide to neopronouns from ae to ze,” an expert on neopronouns and their histories and professor of English and Linguistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign told the outlet that “People like to have a say in how they’re identified.”

“Refusing to let people self-identify is a way of excluding them,” he added. 

Playing to its audience, CNN thought it necessary to explain what a pronoun is and how they are used daily. The article’s author explained how neopronouns are most often “used by nonbinary, transgender, and gender nonconforming people because they offer more freedom of identity.” It even had a guide on how to use neo-pronouns in a sentence. 

CNN posted the article on X and at the time of writing the post has over 1.4 million views only 511 likes, over 4,000 comments, and over 750 quote tweets, with the vast majority making fun of the outlet. 

Christina Buttons wrote, “Is this a serious news outlet for serious journalists or an activist rag?” 

The rest of the article is CNN posted at this link, with hammered by normal people that think there are 2 genders.

Since I’m not job hunting anymore and my social media outlet other than blogs is LinkedIn, I lampoon them often for being woke in my profile. I wonder how many recruiters are getting a laugh at the stuff I put in my profile.

The Tons Plastic In The Ocean Was A Ton Of Lies

Like most of the climate issues, while there may be a problem, what they try to scare the masses with is never that.

It seems that they really want power over the masses, and the ability to scam money off of the unsuspecting and use the government as there bank.

It has been repeatedly stated as fact that “8 to 10 million metric tons of plastic are dumped into oceans” every single year. However, according to a new peer-reviewed study in Nature Geoscience, that’s 7,500,000 metric tons off the mark.

The study, published this month and titled “Global mass of buoyant marine plastics dominated by large long-lived debris,” used “observational data” from coastlines, the ocean surface, and the deep ocean to conclude that the amount of plastic pouring into the oceans every year is about 500,000 metric tons. The researchers’ abstract said that “recent estimates of the oceanic input of plastic are one to two orders of magnitude larger than the amount measured floating at the surface.” 

Though this may still sound like a lot, but a widely relied upon 2015 study overshot the “accepted” number by a whopping 1,600%.

Referring to the data cited from the 2015 study led by Dr. Jenna Jambeck from the University of Georgia, the new study explains that “This discrepancy could be due to overestimation of input estimates, processes removing plastic from the surface ocean or fragmentation and degradation.” 

The 2015 study with the now-challenged estimate was been adopted as authoritative by a range of media outlets, environmental activists and government agencies.

Nancy Wallace, Marine Debris Program Director at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), called the 2015 study “significant” in a New York Times article. Though she conceded it wasn’t an exact figure, she said it “gives us [NOAA] an idea of… where we might need to focus our efforts to affect the issue.” 

To date, Dr. Jambeck’s 2015 study is listed on the NOAA website. Just the News contacted Wallace and NOAA’s media team for comment. 

Other entities who accepted the 2015 data as a fact include The World Economic Forum, who said “At this rate, there will be more plastic than fish in the world’s oceans by 2050” and suggested that plastic pollutants “are adding to the climate change problem.” Other proponents of the “conventional wisdom” include UNESCO, The National Geographic Society, Time magazine, The Washington Post, as well as dozens of environmental organizations, such as “Environmental Action” and “Ocean Conservancy” all of whom have cited the “8 million metric tons of plastic pollution” figure.

Outlets like The New York Times, which propped up the 2015 study, have appeared to downplay the new number and double down on pushing a fearful narrative. “There Might Be Less Plastic in the Sea Than We Thought. But Read On,” reads their headline about the new data. “The new research might seem like good news, but the full picture is complicated: The amount of plastic in the ocean is still increasing by about 4 percent every year, according to the study,” the Times added.

Stephen Guertin, Deputy Director of U.S. Fish and Wildlife at the Department of The Interior, also used Jambeck’s study in his 2019 testimony before Congress, repeating that “it is believed that at least 8 million tons of plastic end up in our oceans every year, and make up 80 percent of all marine debris from surface waters to deep-sea sediments.”

And while America has been continually criticized for its role in plastic pollution, with many states passing legislation to severely restrict the use of plastic products, Manhattan Institute waste expert John Tierney says “virtually all the consumer plastics polluting the world’s oceans comes from ‘mismanaged waste’ in developing countries.”

“The Environmental Protection Agency has promoted recycling as a way to reduce carbon emissions, but its own figures show the benefits are relatively small and come almost entirely from recycling paper products and metals, not plastic,” he wrote in a New York Post op-ed, adding that rather than Americans sending plastic to a landfill, “most” of it ends up being shipped overseas to developing nations.

I tell my wife that it’s just another socialist tactic. I see 6 different containers in her home country of Denmark (which is socialist) and they clutter the streets while making the population get in line and obey.

The truth is that if you bury it, it doesn’t get micro plastics in the air and water, where it is far more dangerous. But that would be against the narrative. I could be broken down easily, but that doesn’t let people get controlled like good little commies, handcuffed to the recycling prison chain gang. Harvard University recently organized an event to support graduate students enrolling in government food assistance programs.

The Health Services office sent a flier to graduate students, encouraging them to participate in the SNAP Benefits Sign-Up event in April. The flier read, “Fuel your body & stock your pantry. Did you know that grad students may qualify for assistance paying for food & groceries?”

Harvard University is the wealthiest academic institution globally, boasting an endowment of approximately $53 billion. With such a substantial endowment, Harvard has the means to support a wide array of academic programs, research endeavors, scholarships and initiatives.

The Harvard Graduate Students Union (HGSU) expressed its view, advocating for more substantial measures to assist graduate students, primarily by increasing their salaries. Blackout News here reports on how industrial production in Germany has slumped “much more than economists expected in June” and that “many experts expect this trend to continue in the coming months.”

COVID-19 Vaccines and Informed Consent

Introduction.

Most Americans have long assumed that they have a fundamental right to make decisions about their own bodily health and the medical treatments they receive.  Informed consent is the ethical and legal principle by which that fundamental right is enforceable.  To be able to give informed consent a person needs to be informed about the risks and benefits of, and alternatives to, the proposed treatment. 

The fundamental right to informed consent is particularly important with respect to the COVID-19 vaccines which are available in the United States pursuant to Emergency Use Authorizations (EUAs).  Under the federal EUA statute, people are entitled to be informed about their right to accept or refuse administration of these vaccines, the consequences (if any) of refusing vaccination, and the benefits and risks of alternatives to the vaccines.  A different federal statute gives the manufacturers of EUA vaccines, and the people and organizations administering them, immunity from liability suits for damages.  Unless courts decide that the immunity statute cannot be applied against people who did not give their informed consent to vaccination, people who suffer severe adverse effects after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine will not be able to recover compensation, for their monetary and emotional distress damages, from the vaccine manufacturers or from the people who vaccinated them.  Similarly, the family members of people who die after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine will not be able to recover compensation for their loss. 

Opinions and Basis for Opinions.

Based on the results of my research to date, I have arrived at the following opinions with respect to the COVID-19 vaccines that are being widely used in the United States:

1.     Government misinformation about the safety and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines, censorship of credible scientific and medical information about the risks of death and serious adverse effects of the COVID-19 vaccines, and vaccination coercion, are depriving people of their ability to give informed consent to vaccination.  Unless the limited effectiveness of the vaccines and the risks of death and serious adverse effects described in this memorandum are disclosed to people before they are vaccinated, informed consent has not been obtained.

2.     Safe and effective drugs on the market for many years, such as ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine, have been proven by reputable doctors to be successful in the early treatment of COVID-19.  If those affordable drugs had been allowed to be more widely used in the United States before people needed to be hospitalized, many tens of thousands of people who died from COVID-19 would probably be alive today.

3.     The COVID-19 vaccines authorized for use in United States do not meet established criteria for establishing their short-term and long-term safety and efficacy.  Serious safety signals – red flags – about these vaccines have been ignored, and continue to be ignored, by the FDA and the CDC.  Also, during the past two years it has become clear that the COVID-19 vaccines do not prevent infection or transmission of COVID-19.  Fully vaccinated people can become infected and can spread the SARS-CoV-2 virus to other vaccinated people and to unvaccinated people.  All of these vaccines should be taken off the market immediately.

·      SARS-CoV-2 is the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.  Distinctive spike proteins on the surface of the virus enable the virus to penetrate cells and cause infection. 

·      According to a mortality analysis by the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, as of July 19, 2023 the United States had a COVID-19 case fatality ratio of 1.1%.  The case fatality ratio is the number of deaths divided by the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases.  This means that, in the United States, 98.9% of all the people with a     confirmed case of COVID-19 survived the disease.  Most COVID-19 deaths occurred in elderly people who were in poor health with multiple comorbidities.  A study by researchers at Stanford University found that 99.9973% of COVID-19 patients 19 years of age and younger survive the disease.  

·      The spike proteins on the surface of the SARS-CoV-2 virus mutate, producing the Delta variant which became the dominant form of the virus by the middle of 2021.  Continuing mutations of the spike proteins produced the Omicron variant which became the dominant form of the virus by the end of 2021.  We are now dealing with sub-variants of Omicron.

·      The first confirmed case of COVID-19 in the United States was reported in mid-January, 2020.  The pandemic spread.  COVID-19 vaccines were not available until the middle of December 2020 when the FDA granted emergency use authorization for the Pfizer-BioNTech and the Moderna vaccines.  In February 2021 the FDA granted emergency use authorization for the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine.  Early in 2021 these vaccines became widely available in the United States and mass vaccination programs began.  By the middle of 2021 millions of Americans, including workers in many different occupations, were fully vaccinated.    

·      According to data on the CDC website accessed on July 18, 2022, in the United States there were 385,670 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in 2020 before the vaccines were widely available.  In 2021, when the Pfizer-BioNTech, the Moderna and the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccines were widely available and mass vaccination campaigns took place, there were 463,210 deaths attributed to COVID-19; there were 20.1% more COVID-19 deaths in 2021 than in 2020.

·      The COVID-19 vaccines do not produce immunity to COVID-19 because they are not designed to trigger an immune response to the SARS-CoV-2 virus.  Instead, the vaccines are designed to cause the body to produce spike proteins in order to stimulate an immune response to the spike proteins which are on the surface of the virus.  The Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines use synthetic mRNA genetic instructions to cause the body to produce enormous numbers of spike proteins.  The mRNA technology used in those vaccines is a new and unproven technology that has never been used before in vaccines administered to people.  The Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine is a viral vector DNA vaccine that also causes the body to produce enormous numbers of spike proteins.

·      An internal CDC email produced in response to a Freedom of Information Act request reveals that on January 30, 2021 the Director of the CDC had a conversation with the Director of the NIH about “vaccine breakthroughs” based on an article published in the Journal of the American Medical Association a few days earlier.  “Vaccine breakthroughs” refers to fully vaccinated people who become infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and contract COVID-19.

·      When FDA issued its EUAs for the Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson/Janssen COVID-19 vaccines in late 2020 and early 2021, the CDC defined a “vaccine” as a “product that stimulates a person’s immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease, protecting the person from that disease.”   Traditional vaccines for diseases such as smallpox and polio meet that definition, which is consistent with the definition of “vaccine” found in the 1996 edition of Webster’s New Universal Unabridged Dictionary:  “any preparation used as a preventive inoculation to confer immunity against a specific disease, usually employing an innocuous form of the disease agent, as killed or weakened bacteria or viruses, to stimulate antibody production.”

·      In July 2021 an outbreak of SARS-CoV-2 infections in Barnstable County, Massachusetts led the CDC to reverse its position on the wearing of masks and to recommend that all people wear masks indoors when viral transmission is likely, regardless of their vaccination status. The outbreak involved 469 people with COVID-19 infections; 79 percent of those people were symptomatic.  74 percent of the symptomatic people were fully vaccinated.  Five people needed to be hospitalized; four of the five were fully vaccinated.  This incident made it clear that the vaccines do not prevent infection or transmission of COVID-19.  Vaccinated people can become infected and can also spread the SARS-CoV-2 virus to other people.

·      Effective September 1, 2021, once it had become clear that the COVID-19 vaccines do not produce immunity to COVID-19, the CDC simply changed its definition of “vaccine” to:  “A preparation that is used to stimulate the body’s immune response against diseases.”  Internal CDC emails produced in response to a Freedom of Information Act request, including an August 13, 2021 email from Andrew Lowndes at CDC to Alycia Downs at CDC, indicate that the change in definition was intended to justify continuing to refer to the COVID-19 injections as “vaccines.”   Redefining the word “vaccine” does not turn these experimental products into true vaccines as the term “vaccine” has been understood by people for many years.  These products are, in reality, more accurately described as gene therapy injections that cause the body to produce spike proteins.  As Moderna acknowledged in its quarterly report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission for the period ending June 30, 2020, “[c]urrently, mRNA is considered a gene therapy product by the FDA.”    

·      In a recent letter dated April 18, 2023 Dr. Peter Marks, Director of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, acknowledged the current FDA position “that FDA’s authorization and licensure standards for vaccines do not require demonstration of the prevention of infection or transmission.  . . .  There is no requirement that the vaccine also prevents infection with the pathogen that can cause the disease or transmission of that pathogen to others.”

·      Project Salus, a Department of Defense and Joint Artificial Intelligence Center study, analyzed the effectiveness of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines against the Delta variant among Medicare beneficiaries 65 years and older.  The project’s September 28, 2021 report indicates, on page 7, that “In this 80% vaccinated >=65 population, an estimated 71% of COVID-19 cases occurred in fully vaccinated individuals” (emphasis in the report).  The report also points out, on page 12, that “In this 80% vaccinated 65+ population, an estimated 60% of COVID-19 hospitalizations occurred in fully vaccinated individuals in the week ending August 7th” (emphasis in the report).

·      When the Delta and later the Omicron variants became the dominant form of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, a number of studies in different countries show that most COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths occur among fully vaccinated people.  For example, the UK Health Security Agency’s March 3, 2022 COVID-19 Vaccine Surveillance Report contains information in Table 12, on page 43, about deaths between January 31 and February 27, 2022 among patients who died within 28 days of testing positive for COVID-19 or who had COVID-19 mentioned on their death certificate.  Of the 3,957 patients who died, 3,429, or 86.6%, had received two or three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.  (725 people had received two doses, and 2,704 people had received three doses.)

·      Since the Omicron variant became the dominant form of SARS-CoV-2, the effectiveness of the mRNA vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna) diminishes significantly over just a few months.  According to a Danish study, which has not yet been peer reviewed, vaccinated people, more than 90 days after vaccination, are significantly more likely than unvaccinated people to be infected by Omicron.  A different study published in April of this year, which has been peer reviewed, found that the “risk of COVID-19 also varies by the number of vaccine doses previously received.  The higher the number of vaccines previously received, the higher the risk of contracting COVID-19.”

·      On July 13, 2022 the FDA granted emergency use authorization for the Novavax adjuvanted COVID-19 vaccine for people ages 18 and older, which was later amended to authorize administration of the Novavax vaccine to people ages 12 and older.

·      On August 31, 2022 the FDA granted emergency use authorizations for the Pfizer-BioNTech and the Moderna bivalent (Original and Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 strains) vaccines as boosters.  No clinical (human) studies were performed on those bivalent vaccines before they were authorized for emergency use.  Only non-clinical studies on a relatively small number of mice were performed.  On April 18, 2023 the FDA amended and expanded the emergency use authorizations for the bivalent vaccines to make them generally available, and ended the emergency use authorizations for the original (monovalent) Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines.

·      On June 1, 2023 the FDA revoked the emergency use authorization for the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine.  As a result, only the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna bivalent vaccines, and the Novavax adjuvanted vaccine, are now available in the United States.

·      The results of a study published in a peer-reviewed article on April 19, 2023 show that the bivalent vaccines have very limited effectiveness.  The authors conclude that “the current bivalent vaccines were about 29% effective when the Omicron BA.4/5 lineages were the predominant circulating strains, and effectiveness was lower when the circulating strains were no longer represented in the vaccine.  A protective effect could not be demonstrated when the XBB lineages were dominant.”   

·      Pfizer’s Comirnaty COVID-19 vaccine received full FDA approval on August 23, 2021 and Moderna’s Spikevax COVID-19 vaccine received full FDA approval on January 31, 2022.  However, those vaccines have not been available in the United States.  If they were available in the United States, emergency use authorizations for the COVID-19 vaccines that are available could not lawfully be maintained.  Under the EUA statute, one of the mandatory criteria for an emergency use authorization is that “there is no adequate, approved, and available alternative” to the product in question.  The Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines available in the United States are legally distinct EUA products that were not transformed into approved products by the FDA’s approval of Comirnaty and Spikevax.

·      It turns out that the spike proteins produced by the body in response to the COVID-19 vaccines are, themselves, toxic to cells.  For example, endothelial cells line the inside of arteries to make blood flow smoothly.  Damage to the endothelial cells caused by spike proteins increases the potential for microscopic blood clots to form.  Those microscopic blood clots can travel to the lungs, increasing the risk of developing pulmonary arterial hypertension which is a serious progressive condition that overtaxes and weakens the heart.  There is no known cure for that condition.  All of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, as well as the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine, have been shown to cause other serious blood clotting disorders as well.

·      In the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines manufactured by Pfizer and Moderna the genetic instructions that cause the body to produce spike proteins are encapsulated in lipid nanoparticles.  A preclinical study on laboratory animals conducted by Pfizer and submitted to the regulatory agency in Japan shows that the lipid nanoparticles and mRNA genetic instructions enter the bloodstream and accumulate in several organs, including the spleen, bone marrow, liver and adrenal glands, and concentrate in the ovaries.  The body then starts producing spike proteins wherever the mRNA genetic instructions happen to land.

·      A number of serious medical conditions have been associated with the COVID-19 vaccines, including blood clotting disorders, cardiac emergencies, myocarditis, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, autoimmune disease, spontaneous miscarriages, nervous system disorders and female infertility.   

·      The COVID-19 vaccines also interfere with the natural immune system, making a person more susceptible to viral infections and cancer.  In a May 6, 2021 preprint article, which has not yet been peer reviewed, a group of research scientists in the Netherlands and Germany reported their conclusion that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine “induces functional reprogramming of innate immune responses, which should be considered in the development and use of this new class of vaccines.”  They also point out that “inhibition of innate immune responses may diminish anti-viral responses.”  A more recent peer reviewed article published June 2022 in Food and Chemical Toxicology explains how the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines subvert innate immunity and dysregulate the body’s system “for both preventing and detecting genetically driven malignant transformation within cells.”   

·      A laboratory study in Sweden shows that the Pfizer-BioNtech COVID-19 vaccine is able to enter a human liver cell line where it is reverse transcribed into DNA within a matter of hours.  As a result, the possibility that the COVID-19 vaccines affect DNA cannot be ruled out.

·      The mRNA COVID-19 vaccines contain problematic ingredients that should not be injected into peoples’ bodies.  Both the Pfizer and the Moderna vaccines contain polyethylene glycol (PEG) as an active ingredient.  Several years ago, in 1993, an Expert Panel assessing the safety of PEG recommended against using PEG in ointments applied to damaged skin because some burn patients treated with a PEG-based antimicrobial cream experienced renal tubular necrosis and died of kidney failure.  The PEG used in the Moderna vaccine matches the description of a PEG product manufactured by Sinopeg, a company in China.  According to the Sinopeg website, that product is for “research use only.”  The Moderna vaccine also contains a lipid known by the trade name SM-102.  The Pfizer vaccine also contains a lipid known by the trade name ALC-0315.  According to the safety information on the website of Cayman Chemical Company, which manufactures SM-102 and ALC-0315, both of those products are “for research use – Not for human or veterinary diagnostic or therapeutic use.”  Yet, in the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, PEG, and SM-102 or ALC-0315, are being directly injected into people’s bodies. 

·      As Dr. Peter McCullough pointed out in his October 13, 2021 sworn expert witness Declaration filed in the U. S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida:  “The COVID-19 genetic vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, J&J) skipped testing for genotoxicity, mutagenicity, teratogenicity, and oncogenicity.  In other words, it is unknown whether or not these products will change human genetic material, cause birth defects, reduce fertility, or cause cancer.” 

·      Pfizer reportedly cut corners in the pre-clinical animal testing of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.  According to a May 28, 2021 article on the TrialSite News website, which reports on clinical trials, Pfizer performed its pre-clinical animal tests using “surrogate” mRNA instead of the mRNA that is actually in the vaccine.  

·      Deficiencies in the clinical trials for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine are explained in a public document prepared by the Canadian Covid Care Alliance, a group of more than 500 independent Canadian doctors, other health care practitioners and scientists.  The document also contains information from six months of follow up in the Pfizer-BioNtech clinical trial, indicating that related adverse events were 300% higher in the vaccinated group than in the placebo (control) group, and severe adverse events were 75% higher in the vaccinated group than in the control group.  The document can be found at:

·      No long-term clinical studies were performed to evaluate the long-term safety of the COVID-19 vaccines.  As a result, there is no way of knowing whether or not vaccinated people will suffer severe adverse side effects in the future.  This lack of information is of particular concern since the vaccines increase the potential for developing cardiovascular disease and autoimmune disease, which can both take months or years to fully develop.  Because clinical trial participants in the placebo (control) group were subsequently given the option of getting vaccinated, and a number of them chose to be vaccinated, there is no longer a statistically viable control group for a study of the long-term adverse effects of the vaccines.

·      Pfizer recognizes that the long-term adverse effects of its COVID-19 vaccines are not currently known.  In its Agreement to supply Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines to the government of a European country, Pfizer’s subsidiary required the purchasing government, in paragraph 5.5 of the Agreement, to acknowledge “that the long-term effects and the efficacy of the Vaccine are not currently known and that there may be adverse effects of the Vaccine that are not currently known.” 

·      The Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson/Janssen COVID-19 vaccines fail to meet reasonable expectations for product uniformity.  Analyses by independent researchers show that some vaccine batches, identified by lot number, are many times more toxic than others.  Roughly 80% of the vaccine batches account for 1 or 2 adverse events per batch reported in the government’s Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS).  Other batches account for hundreds or thousands of adverse events per batch reported in VAERS, and some of those adverse events involved death, disability or serious illness.  A recent study in Denmark of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines confirms a correlation between adverse effects and vaccine batch.  For vaccines administered in Denmark between December 27, 2020 and January 11, 2022, batches comprising 4.22% of the vaccine doses accounted for 27.49% of serious adverse events, batches comprising 63.69% of the vaccine doses accounted for 71.5% of serious adverse events, and batches comprising 32.09% of the vaccine doses accounted for 1.01% of serious adverse events.    

·      The government established VAERS in 1990 which is co-managed by the CDC and the FDA.  It is intended to be a national early warning system to detect possible safety problems with vaccines in the United States.  The number of serious adverse events and deaths that have been reported in VAERS for the COVID-19 vaccines is many times greater than the serious adverse events and deaths reported in VAERS for all other vaccines combined.   As of October 7, 2022 more than 31,400 deaths, and more than 230,200 serious injuries, following administration of one of the COVID-19 vaccines have been reported in VAERS.  Several thousands of those deaths occurred within a day or two after vaccination.  Due to underreporting, the actual number of deaths and serious injuries following COVID-19 vaccination is likely to be higher than the number reported in VAERS.  Yet the CDC and the FDA continue to ignore these serious safety signals.

Ruining Star Wars, How It Was Run Into The Ground

When Star Wars was first advertised (it wasn’t even A New Hope back in ’78), the ad went, never before has so much money been spent for so much fun. It was completely different than the disaster movies that was the genre.

We had hero’s, villains, a mystic power of an unknown force. There was emotional attachment to the characters, both love and true hate. When they introduced the interplay of the father/son reveal it was some of the best storytelling to date.

It was the unlikely hero rescuing the damsel. Good versus Evil. Believing in a higher power who could guide you through life.

I remember going to see The Empire Strikes Back eight times in the movie theaters, because that’s all you could do back then. Four years later, my stockbroker roommate got pre-release tickets to Return of the Jedi and it was to date the only movie I got to see prior to the public consumption.

There was interplay between characters, development of the hero’s course, the introduction of even more evil than we were used to (the emperor) and the ultimate risk of death to save your family.

The fan base was loyal and huge. We wanted to have the Force or a light saber.

The destruction of the franchise began after that.

THE PREQUELS

It was the back story and it could have been done a lot better. George Lucas should have overseen the story telling rather than trying to control so much. It still stuck to the theme, but the horrible acting by Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen, Samuel Jackson and Jar-Jar Binks made it tough to take. Few could relate to the poorly written romantic scenes, with some being gag worthy.

Sill there was the original theme of bad versus good, the Force, the characters you could relate to and we already knew how the story would end, but this filled in the details. We wanted to see how Anakin became Darth Vader.

The men still protected the queen and you walked through their adventure, being able to put up with it as you already knew the Darth Vader story.

Action figures and Lego flew off the shelf with a loyal fan base and conventions to cosplay at. Fans flocked to the movies to see hero’s and villains. It was a good story, you could relate to the characters and the hero’s were men, who save the day.

DOWN THE TOILET WITH THE SKYWALKER TRILOGY AND THE DESTRUCTION OF STAR WARS BY KATHLEEN KENNEDY

That was the end of any good Star Wars film. Disney has ruined MARVEL, Star Wars, Indiana Jone and every other franchise they own. People are tired of woke.

The Force Awakens was just a remake of A New Hope, with a less believable and far less intimidating Kylo Ren as the new Darth Vader. It was misandry and woke before woke was de rigueur. Lucas wasn’t around to make sure that the story stayed on theme and it showed. It wasn’t fun or believable.

It went against the story and essence of what is Star Wars.

What really made these bad was the de-masculinization of the hero’s. Rey became Luke, and no one believes that the girls were really the hero’s. It was Kathleen Kennedy who introduced woke narratives into the story line, stop it. There was other woke mistakes like a black storm trooper. We already knew how they were clones of Jango Fett. Storm Troopers are pre-programmed. You don’t get a renegade wanting to be free. It’s not believable they way they wrote it.

So despite the lack of Force training that we know was needed (as told in Empire), Rey overcomes a Force master in Kylo Ren. In no real life believable fight does a girl ever beat a guy. We saw how much training Luke needed and what poor training did to Anakin. It was writing woke instead of a story.

The others tried to channel Luke back into the story, but it was to take away his hero status. It re-wrote what the force was. All that just to bring down the truth of who really saves the world, men willing to sacrifice themselves for the greater good of others. Luke and Han were willing to do anything to rescue Leia, who needed saving. It’s good versus evil, the story that Hollywood hates, especially when good triumphs.

THE FORCE (IS NOT FEMALE)

Kennedy further went on to say that the force is female. It’s not, but then it’s not male either. It’s the force. The problem the celebtards had was that it was similar to religion, something else they hate….God.

TELLING A GOOD STORY, UNLIKE J.J. ABRAMS

To capture the audience, hero’s have to be believable to make a good story. You need to get them emotionally invested in their struggle and journey. You want to will them to victory or help them overcome bad guys.

The problem with the last trilogy, besides it being woke was that it was just a re-hash of the original trilogy, only swapping out girls for men. It was the same place, Tatooine, the same villians (Ren was the grandson of Vader) and the force, albeit not the one that Lucas told us about.

J. J. Adams had already ruined Star Trek by re-telling the Wrath Of Khan story just as poorly as this movie.

The last movie, the Rise Of Skywalker was so bad, it had to rehash the Emperor to try to put butts back in the seats. Real Star Wars fans have had enough, but Kennedy has killed the franchise.

Can it be saved? The Mandalorian was good, but they couldn’t let a good thing not go woke as they ruined Obi-wan with it being feminized. Asoka is about to tarnish the after stories even more.

Your Thursday Morning Harvard Report

Well, now they are narcissistic to think they can judge good and evil. It never surprises me that they are so insulated from the real world that they have ruined a good education for the sake of woke. I wonder if hiring managers are thinking of this when they consider the type of graduates they are turning out.

But at Harvard, everyone is so smart that they feel they know what the world should look like. Good and evil are defined in the president’s office at Harvard.

So, there is less interest in “equal protection” than achieving social outcomes that reflect how the president of Harvard thinks the world should be.

Per the president, “diversity and difference are essential to academic excellence.” And “Harvard must be a place of opportunity.”

But “diversity and difference,” per Harvard’s president, is about race and ethnicity, not about differences among unique individual human beings.

Back to the Bible, standing before the judge is a unique human being with personal responsibility to follow the law. The person’s color, gender or bank account is not the issue. Personal behavior is.

Let’s consider two areas of ethnic differences.

The Brookings Institution looked at math scores of high school students in the SAT.

The average score in 2020 was 523 out of 800.

Average scores by race/ethnicity were: Black, 454; Hispanic, 478; White, 547; and Asian, 632.

Around each average score is a distribution of individuals above and below that score. There may be Black students with a score way above the 454 average. However, for Harvard, most important is a student’s “blackness” rather than his or her individuality.

Pew Research reports that the percentage of 40-year-old Americans that have never been married is now 25%, an all-time high. In 1980, this stood at 6%.

Clearly, marriage is breaking down. But here are the ethnic/racial differences among the percentage of never-married 40-year-olds: White, 20%; Black, 46%; Hispanic, 27%; and Asian, 17%.

Is there meaning in the fact that the order of the percentages of never married 40-year-olds by race/ethnicity is the same as the order of the math scores? Does it say anything that Asians, where marriage is most intact, have the highest math scores? And that Blacks, where marriage is least intact, have the worst?

Marriage, family and children flow out of a worldview that everything is not about me – that there is right and wrong, that there is a future, that there are eternal values, that there is personal responsibility, that there is love.

As these values have broken down in America, marriage has broken down.

It is these same values that establish a legal system that demands “equal treatment” under the law – that judges do not decide what the world should look like, but instead apply equally God’s law.

In other words, knowledge, truth, learning and justice emerge from a world of unique individuals that recognize there is truth and personal responsibility.

The Harvard take on things – politics and moral relativism – has hurt Black Americans, not helped. It is the problem rather than the solution.

Karma: Harvard Legacy/Donor Admissions Practices Are Racist According To Civil Rights Complaint Just Filed

The colleges and universities that have been the most aggressive and belligerent in defending illegal race-based affirmative action are finding their most cherished and lucrative admissions practices challenged: Legacy and Donor preferences.

I’m down for it, as I wrote yesterday, reiterating my long-held view, By All Means, Eliminate Legacy And Donor Admissions Preferences Because They Are Corrupting, Regardless of Racial Impact

I am against legacy admissions preferences regardless of whether they have a racial impact on admissions, because they contribute to a cronyism that shifts the focus from the individual’s merits to the school’s interest in developing alumni fundraising. I’d like to see all identity-group admissions preferences eliminated to level the playing field and to increase the focus on the intrinsic merit of each applicant without regard to group identity.

Harvard not only was a big perp of racial preferences, it also loves it some legacies, though the practice is waning after the federal court case that resulted in the SCOTUS loss revealed the statistics:

36% of the Harvard Class of 2022 may claim a relative who was a student there in the past. Harvard legacy acceptance rate for the Class of 2025 is fascinating to look at, which is 16%. Similarly, only 12% of the new Crimson students who enrolled for the Class of 2024 identified themselves as legacy students.

Students who have at least one parent who graduated from Harvard or Radcliffe, the university’s old sister institution, are considered “legacy students” by the admissions office at Harvard University. This “tip” has been granted to legacy students for many years.

The rabid virtue signaling that has greeted the SCOTUS decision puts these heavly legacy schools in a bind – and that bind may lead to legal action, as just happened to Harvard, Harvard’s legacy admission targeted in civil rights complaint, in wake of national affirmative action ban:

Harvard University’s admission practices unfairly favor children of alumni and wealthy donors, according to a civil rights complaint filed Monday with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.

The complaint, filed by Lawyers for Civil Rights on behalf of Boston-area advocacy groups representing Black and Latino residents, calls for a federal investigation of Harvard’s admissions process and an end to so-called legacy and donor-related admissions, which gives admissions preference to the children and relatives of donors and alumni.

From the Complaint filed with the Office of Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Education:

Each year, Harvard College grants special preference in its admissions process to hundreds
of mostly white students – not because of anything they have accomplished, but rather solely
because of who their relatives are. Applicants whose relatives are wealthy donors to Harvard, or
whose parents are Harvard alumni, are flagged at the outset of Harvard’s admissions process and
are granted special solicitude and extra “tips” throughout. The students who receive these special
preferences (“Donor and Legacy Preferences”) are significantly more likely to be accepted than
other applicants, and constitute up to 15% of Harvard’s admitted students.

The students who receive this preferential treatment – based solely on familial ties – are
overwhelmingly white. Nearly 70% of donor-related applicants are white, and nearly 70% of
legacy applicants are also white.1 The results of this preferential treatment are substantial. For
example, over the period 2014-2019:

• Donor-related applicants were nearly 7 times more likely to be admitted compared to
non-donor-related applicants; and
• Legacy applicants were nearly 6 times more likely to be admitted compared to nonlegacy applicants.2

At the same time that Donor and Legacy Preferences disproportionately advantage white
applicants, they systematically disadvantage students of color, including Black, Latinx, and Asian Americans. As the Supreme Court has recently stated: “A benefit provided to some applicants but not to others necessarily advantages the former group at the expense of the latter.”3 For example, experts have concluded that: (1) removing legacy preferences would increase admissions for applicants of color; and (2) approximately one-quarter of the white students admitted would not have been admitted if the Donor and Legacy Preferences, among others, did not exist.4 Further, these Donor and Legacy Preferences are not justified by any educational necessity because Harvard cannot show that the use of these preferences is necessary to achieve any important educational goal. To the contrary, the preferential treatment is conferred without regard to the applicant’s credentials or merits – the benefit is derived simply from being born into a particular family.

This preferential treatment violates federal law….

I doubt legacy and donor practices violate federal law. Those benefits are available to the Obamas.

Prince Harry’s Balls

So Chuckles clown’s son just decided to trash America. His loser, the Spare, is a direct descendant of George III. George went crazy, likely from inbreeding. Those genes look like they re-surfaced.

Today, each and every one of these values—along with the system that upholds them—is under vigorous attack by powerful subversives for whom they are anathema.

These subversives seem driven by one of two primary impulses.

The first is as old as humankind: the satisfaction of the base human passions. This includes, especially, the accumulation of wealth, exercise of power, and the indulgence of sensory pleasures (and, typically, all three simultaneously). This group includes the so-called globalist elite who view a strong U.S. driven by American values as an obstacle to its insatiable appetite for wealth, power, and consequence-free physical indulgence.

The second group is driven by dogma. These are the disciples of Karl Marx and fellow travelers who believe that once some group attains social primacy, that group will use its power to tweak all the institutions in a way that ensures the continuation of the group’s dominant position.

This includes legal institutions, government structures, culture, language, and even rational thinking. This “systemic” lock-in is so resistant to change, so the story goes, that the only solution for the oppressed is to completely destroy the institutions.

Marxist values include limited liberty in the pursuit of equity, unequal rights in the pursuit of diversity, unlimited government shaped by the consent of the oppressed, a system of rewards via identity-based notions of inclusion, and a rejection of the very notion of truth.

Note that, while these two types may be united in their animus toward the U.S., it is axiomatic that a single individual cannot truly be both. That is, one cannot be a wealth- and power-maximizing hedonist while, at the same time, fully embracing Marxist values. Or so it seems.

Yet, here we face the perplexing case of Prince Harry, a descendant of King George III himself. Following the prince’s attacks on the British Commonwealth, he has turned his attention to bulldozing American values.

This is perplexing because, on the one hand, Harry, Duke of Sussex, enjoys all the privileges of the globalist elite. Yet, on the other hand, he enthusiastically embraces the anti-American values of Marxist dogmatists.

It is difficult to imagine how Harry deals with the implied internal contradictions without blowing a gasket—much like the “supercomputer” in Season 2 Episode 24 of TV’s original “Star Trek,” which self-destructed when Kirk presented it with a logical dilemma. Perhaps a dogged fixation on the object of animus common to both groups, the U.S., is enough for Harry to keep it together.

Alternatively, the answer may lie in really believing that there is no such thing as objective truth. After all, Kirk’s AI antagonist was hard-wired to adhere to logic. The logical demands of Marxist dogma are much more elastic.

Exhibit 1 is the prince’s bestselling autobiography “Spare,” a canonical instance of the postmodern genre in which knowledge is “positional” and one’s “lived experience” takes precedence over logical, fact-based arguments.

“Spare” is riddled with historical inaccuracies and objectively untrue claims, such as identifying Harry as Henry VI’s great x7 grandson.

Harry also writes about his general disdain of history, recalling a visit to the Royal Burial Ground at Frogmore with his father, now King Charles III:

A lifelong student of history, [Pa] had loads of information to share, and part of me thought we might be there for hours, and there might be a test at the end. Mercifully, he stopped, and we carried on.

Harry had no interest in more formal lessons from his history teacher, identified as a Mr. Hughes-Games:

So it came as a roaring shock when I realized that Mr. Hughes-Games believed me to be the odd one. What could be odder, he said to me one day, than a British prince not knowing British history? … It wasn’t just that I didn’t know anything about my family’s history. I didn’t want to know anything.

Once the problem of being a self-hating elitist is solved, all the other anti-American values can follow.

For example, Harry’s flagrant disregard for the rule of law, as evidenced by his illegal drug use in passages such as this:

I had been doing cocaine around this time. At someone’s country house, during a shooting weekend, I’d been offered a line, and I’d done a few more since.

Or his disregard for the truth, as evidenced by his unwillingness to release his U.S. visa paperwork.

Or his indifference to human dignity, as evidenced by his macabre discussion of kill counts in Afghanistan, including:

I could always say precisely how many enemy combatants I’d killed. And I felt it vital never to shy away from that number. … So, my number: Twenty-five.

Or his inability to understand democracy, about which U.S. Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, tweeted: “Love being lectured on democracy by an actual prince.”

Still, one marvels at Harry’s ability to forge ahead as the embodiment of two mutually inconsistent dispositions.

Is it a maniacal focus on the common object of animus? Is it the dogmatic rejection of logic itself?

British author Alexander Larman suggests that the answer is simply that Prince Harry, at 38, “is even more stupid than we thought.”

We’d like to think that he can learn better.

Well, It Figures It Was Harvard That Started The Gender Lie

Harvard And UNC-CH Get Exposed By The Supreme Court As Woke Racist Universities

The Supreme Court ruled that Colleges and Universities can’t discriminate on admission based on race. That is racism even if the student discriminated isn’t of preferred pigment. If you discriminate against a color, it doesn’t matter what the color is. They are racist.

They have said they didn’t want an Asian and white looking student policy, which it would be in a fair system based on meritocracy. That would of course have graduated the best and the brightest for companies.

So that is one of the leading public and private universities that discriminate. Worse, they are letting substandard students who can’t complete the curriculum, and saddle them with life debilitating student loans. It’s not fair to those students.

Harvard has been overrated for decades, unless you have NY connections. UNC-CH is one of the wokest, leftarded socialist places in the country. Since it isn’t that good of a school, they don’t even have an excuse, other than being woke. They are the top of the out of touch places you could find. Again, it’s not good for the kids or the companies they send employees to.

All of this is is woke crap that hurts all of the student populations. Not mentioned are those students not let in because they weren’t the wrong color.

I wrote about this prior to the judgement about how Asians and whites had to score significantly higher because they worked harder in school to get there.

Now, they have been exposed for just what they are, woke, racist and discriminatory.

THE RULING

Well, it’s extraordinarily important. It has established or reestablished something we strayed from in judicial decisions, a very clear statement that an individual is to be judged as an individual, not based on race. And that’s something that a lot of universities particularly have gotten away from….

I think it may have a big impact, particularly on Asian students because particularly in the Harvard case, they are the ones who were the focus of the discrimination more than anybody else. And if the percentage of Asians in the school is not acceptable to the school administrators, that’s just too bad. The Constitution guarantees each of those people to be treated as an individual, not as a proxy for an ethnic group or a racial group.

Said Thomas:

“The Harvard and UNC admissions programs cannot be reconciled with the guarantees of the Equal Protection Clause,” he writes. “Both programs lack sufficiently focused and measurable objectives warranting the use of race, unavoidably employ race in a negative manner, involve racial stereotyping, and lack meaningful end points. We have never permitted admissions programs to work in that way, and we will not do so today.”

It doesn’t get clearer than that, in what is the most significant opinion of the Chief’s career. “Eliminating racial discrimination means eliminating all of it,” he writes.

The Court’s opinion is especially bracing because it clears up a half-century of muddled Supreme Court rulings. In 1978 in Bakke, it opened the door to racial preferences in a plurality opinion by Justice Lewis Powell. When the issue inevitably came up again in Grutter v. Bollinger in 2003, the Court again fudged by declaring the narrow use of race kosher while adding that it should not be necessary in 25 years.

HARVARD STILL PLANS TO DISCRIMINATE

It turns out that Harvard is going to ignore the ruling and continue to discriminate, be racist and hurt the education of kids of every color.

In a tragic incident in Naples, Italy, a fatal explosion occurred involving an experimental hybrid electric car.

The vehicle was a Volkswagen Polo, a prototype used as part of a project called “Life-Save,” testing the possibility of combining an electric motor with batteries powered by solar panels in cars, a translated version of the Today Chronicle reported.

According to a report from Newsweek, the tragic accident claimed the life of researcher Maria Vittoria Prati and left trainee student Fulvio Filace with severe burns.

Both individuals were associated with the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche research institute and were traveling on the Naples ring road when the explosion took place.

Following the blast, the victims were rushed to the Antonio Cardarelli Hospital in critical condition.

Tragically, Maria Vittoria Prati succumbed to her injuries — burns that covered 90 percent of her body — on Monday.

The car involved in this incident was part of an ongoing research project on engine hybridization, undertaken by the Motor Institute of the CNR in collaboration with the University of Salerno.

Some have theorized that the explosion was due to some type of flammable material contained in the cylinders igniting; however, that has not been confirmed at this time.

Although the exact cause of the explosion has yet to be determined, hybrid and fully electric vehicles have faced safety concerns in the past, including instances of fires and explosions.

Such incidents have been observed with electric and hybrid cars, including certain Tesla models.

The incidents are becoming so common that some shipping companies are refusing to transport electric vehicles.

The dangers associated with EVs have also led to some governments taking actions to protect the public. It was reported last year that a state-owned public transport operator in Paris, France, the Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens, pulled out 149 electric buses from its fleet after two of them spontaneously exploded within the same month.

The Public Prosecutor of Naples has initiated an investigation to shed light on the circumstances surrounding Friday’s explosion, Newsweek reported.

Meanwhile, Fabio Corsaro, cousin of Filace, expressed gratitude for the support provided by the medical team and questioned the decision to expose a trainee about to graduate in mechanical engineering to potential risks.

“I believe it is essential that it be clarified why a trainee close to graduation had been designated for that position to transport evidently dangerous material together with a researcher. What is the added value for an internship offered by such an activity remains a mystery,” he said.

Corsaro emphasized the need for a comprehensive understanding of the incident and its implications, as it remains a tragic event that has disrupted the dreams and aspirations of a young individual.

While disasters like these are disheartening, they serve as reminders of the challenges that come with new technology and innovation.

Texas High School Postpones Graduation When Only 5 Students Meet Graduation Requirements

A small, rural high school in Texas has postponed graduation ceremonies after only five of the 33 seniors eligible met the state-mandated graduation requirements.

“Marlin High School has announced that high school graduation will be rescheduled for June,” the Marlin Independent School District said in a letter posted on Facebook. “The decision by the high school to postpone graduation will provide more time for students to meet necessary requirements for graduation.”

The district superintendent Daryl Henson did all he could, giving the failing students numerous opportunities to complete their classroom work. According to this story in the Waco Tribune-Herald, an additional 12 Marlin seniors became eligible since the announcement of the delayed graduation.

“Everything that we have done and will continue to do for the foreseeable future will always be for the benefit of our children,” Henson said. “So I’d rather have the emotions now. I want to have everyone be upset now. Instead of us calling you back in here in October or November or January of 2024 and telling you that your diploma is not worth the paper that is printed on.”

A group of researchers from some of the country’s most prestigious institutions reviewed test scores and other data related to educational performance in K-8 across the US.

Their conclusion: There has been a ‘devastating’ level of pandemic-era learning loss throughout the nation.

The “educational harm” caused by the coronavirus pandemic has been “devastating,” according to a recent survey of 26 million K-8 students by researchers at Stanford, Johns Hopkins, Dartmouth and Harvard. The researchers also found that the pandemic “exacerbated economic and racial educational inequality,” as lead authors Tom Kane of Harvard and Sean Reardon of Stanford wrote in a New York Times essay accompanying the release of their findings last week.

Standardized test results have similarly shown that American students are losing ground in math, reading, history and social studies. But the new findings, which are part of the Educational Recovery Scorecard, add important — and troubling — context while also calling for urgent action.
The top line

In a survey of 7,800 communities in 40 states and Washington, D.C., Kane, Reardon and their colleagues found that between 2019 and 2022, the average “U.S. public school student in grades 3-8 lost the equivalent of a half year of learning in math and a quarter of a year in reading.”

The numbers are staggering:

  • “Math, reading and history scores from the past three years show that students learned far less during the pandemic than was typical in previous years. By the spring of 2022, according to our calculations, the average student was half a year behind in math and a third of a year behind in reading.”
  • “Our detailed geographic data reveals what national tests do not: The pandemic exacerbated economic and racial educational inequality.”
  • “The pandemic left students in low-income and predominantly minority communities even further behind their peers in richer, whiter districts than they were.”
  • “In the hardest-hit communities — where students fell behind by more than one and a half years in math … schools would have had to teach 150% of a typical year’s worth of material for three years in a row just to catch up.”

Kane and Reardon sounded the alarm in a recent opinion piece in The New York Times. The researchers fear parents think their children are doing much better educationally than the numbers reveal.

They urge long-term planning to undo the damage the pandemic lockdowns caused among the nation’s schoolchildren.

School boards and state legislatures should start planning now for longer-term policy changes. One possibility would be to offer an optional fifth year of high school for students to fill holes in academic skills, get help with applying to college or to explore alternative career pathways. Students could split their time among high schools, community colleges and employers. Another option would be to make ninth grade a triage year during which students would receive intensive help in key academic subjects.

As enticing as it might be to get back to normal, doing so will just leave in place the devastating increase in inequality caused by the pandemic. In many communities, students lost months of learning time. Justice demands that we replace it. We must find creative ways to add new learning opportunities in the summer, after school, on weekends or during a 13th year of school.

If we fail to replace what our children lost, we — not the coronavirus — will be responsible for the most inequitable and longest-lasting legacy of the pandemic. But if we succeed, that broader and more responsive system of learning can be our gift to America’s schoolchildren.

The authors’ solutions require the pandemic-lockdown-policy-makers to take complete ownership of the epic disaster it turned out to be. I suspect that this will not happen.

The policy-makers will likely continue to focus on woke nonsense and blame the parents for the ensuing academic failures. This information will be swept under the rug, hoping everyone will forget.

However, it is gratifying to see someone taking a hard, analytical look at the consequences of the pandemic lockdowns on the children.

It’s time to take back the schools from the woke, the perverts, the racists (of many colors) and the groomers. We need critical thinkers instead of factory automatons, like Rockefeller wanted.

The teachers union, the NEA, boards of education who are after power and those who say the children belong to the government have to be stopped, or the future is lost.

A sense of betrayal’: liberal dismay as Muslim-led US city bans Pride flags

In 2015, many liberal residents in Hamtramck, Michigan, celebrated as their city attracted international attention for becoming the first in the United States to elect a Muslim-majority city council.

They viewed the power shift and diversity as a symbolic but meaningful rebuke of the Islamophobic rhetoric that was a central theme of then Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s campaign.

This week many of those same residents watched in dismay as a now fully Muslim and socially conservative city council passed legislation banning Pride flags from being flown on city property that had – like many others being flown around the country – been intended to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.

Muslim residents packing city hall erupted in cheers after the council’s unanimous vote, and on Hamtramck’s social media pages, the taunting has been relentless: “Fagless City”, read one post, emphasized with emojis of a bicep flexing.

In a tense monologue before the vote, Councilmember Mohammed Hassan shouted his justification at LGBTQ+ supporters: “I’m working for the people, what the majority of the people like.”

While Hamtramck is still viewed as a bastion of multiculturalism, the difficulties of local governance and living among neighbors with different cultural values quickly set in following the 2015 election. Some leaders and residents are now bitter political enemies engaged in a series of often vicious battles over the city’s direction, and the Pride flag controversy represents a crescendo in tension.

“There’s a sense of betrayal,” said the former Hamtramck mayor Karen Majewski, who is Polish American. “We supported you when you were threatened, and now our rights are threatened, and you’re the one doing the threatening.”

For about a century, Polish and Ukrainian Catholics dominated politics in Hamtramck, a city of 28,000 surrounded by Detroit. By 2013, largely Muslim Bangladeshi and Yemeni immigrants supplanted the white eastern Europeans, though the city remains home to significant populations of those groups, as well as African Americans, whites and Bosnian and Albanian Americans. According to the 2020 census some 30% to 38% of Hamtramck’s residents are of Yemeni descent, and 24% are of Asian descent, largely Bangladeshi.

After several years of diversity on the council, some see irony in an all-male, Muslim elected government that does not reflect the city’s makeup.

The resolution, which also prohibits the display of flags with ethnic, racist and political views, comes at a time when LGBTQ+ rights are under assault worldwide, and other US cities have passed similar bans, with the vast majority driven by often white politically conservative Americans.

A high-profile expert on ethics and dishonesty is facing allegations of dishonesty in her own work and has taken administrative leave from Harvard Business School.

Francesca Gino is one of HBS’s best-known behavioural scientists and author of Rebel Talent, a 2018 book with the subtitle “Why It Pays to Break the Rules at Work and in Life”.

The controversy, which centres on the use of allegedly fraudulent data in published papers, is the latest to hit the field of behavioural science and psychology research. Some well-publicised findings in the discipline have proved hard to replicate, casting a shadow over the highly modish branch of management studies and social science.

Gino, whose work has been widely cited, including in the Financial Times, has been a professor of business administration at HBS since 2014. Her HBS profile was recently altered to indicate that she is on administrative leave. She did not respond to FT requests for comment via email and social media. A Harvard Business School spokesman said: “We have no comment at this time.”

A group of academics who compile the Data Colada blog about the evidence behind behavioural science has started publishing a series of posts in which they say they will detail “evidence of fraud in four academic papers” co-authored by Gino. “We believe that many more Gino-authored papers contain fake data,” they wrote in the first post of the series, which appeared on June 17.

The allegations, first reported in The Chronicle of Higher Education, have unsettled US behavioural scientists. Katy Milkman of University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, shared the first Data Colada post on Twitter, urging anyone in the field to read it immediately. Alongside a nauseated-face emoji, she said: “We have to do better.”

The plan, which is similar to the system developed by the World Economic Forum (WEF), is outlined in three new policy briefs from the UN titled, “A Global Digital Compact, Reforms to the International Financial Architecture, and The Future of Outer Space Governance.”

The goal of the briefs is to advance UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’s “vision for the future.”

Officially titled “Our Common Agenda,” Guterres’ “vision” should be given the green light in September 2024 during an event dubbed, “The Summit for the Future.”

It’s ironic — one of the least trustworthy agencies in the world boasts of having the trust of the nations of the world.

Like any Vegan is going to believe this or that I care, but maybe they’ll be a lot less annoying about telling you that they don’t eat meat.

You lose IQ points being a vegan. I already knew this before I read about the study when my ex told me she was vegan. That was enough for me to know the lower IQ part.

On the one hand, recent concern about the nutritional gaps in plant-based diets has led to a number of alarming headlines, including a warning that they can stunt brain development and cause irreversible damage to a person’s nervous system. Back in 2016, the German Society for Nutrition went so far as to categorically state that – for children, pregnant or nursing women, and adolescents – vegan diets are not recommended, which has been backed up by a 2018 review of the research. After the Royal Academy of Medicine in Belgium decided a vegan diet was “unsuitable” for children, parents who force a vegan diet on their offspring in Belgium could even one day find themselves in prison.

Ideally, to test the impact of the vegan diet on the brain, you would take a randomly selected group of people, ask half to stop eating animal products – then see what happens. But there isn’t a single study like this.

There are several important brain nutrients that simply do not exist in plants or fungi

Instead, the only research that comes close involved the reverse. It was conducted on 555 Kenyan schoolchildren, who were fed one of three different types of soup – one with meat, one with milk, and one with oil – or no soup at all, as a snack over seven school terms. They were tested before and after, to see how their intelligence compared. Because of their economic circumstances, the majority of the children were de facto vegetarians at the start of the study.

Surprisingly, the children who were given the soup containing meat each day seemed to have a significant edge. By the end of the study, they outperformed all the other children on a test for non-verbal reasoning. Along with the children who received soup with added oil, they also did the best on a test of arithmetic ability. Of course, more research is needed to verify if this effect is real, and if it would also apply to adults in developed countries, too. But it does raise intriguing questions about whether veganism could be holding some people back.

Now Mineral Water Has Also Become a “Climate Killer”

In the joint large-scale undertaking of an informal ideological Stasi made up of scientists, NGOs and state-related institutions to scour the entire everyday life of Germans for climate-damaging consumption habits and behavior in order to feed the results of the political decision-making process for the gradual implementation of a totalitarian climate dictatorship, no area of life and no detail is spared: The “non-profit” association “a tip:tap” recently commissioned a remarkable study on the climate damage caused by sparkling water. Somebody must have noticed that sparkling water equals carbon dioxide equals CO2 — which is essential for life (on Earth), but deemed a “climate killer” and thus as a trace gas, an alleged “environmental toxin”, for whose symbolic “reduction” Germany is wildly prepared to sacrifice its civilizational prosperity.

The result of the study followed as expected: it now also declares drinking mineral water to be a climate sin. Because: Its consumption in Germany consumes around 1.5 times as much CO2 as the entire domestic German air traffic, calculate the green flunky scientists. Even during its production, mineral water requires many more process steps than tap water because it has to be cleaned after treatment and bottled under higher standards. In addition, the production of the bottles, the transport to the supermarket and the way home from there drive emissions even further up. Overall, according to the study, mineral water produces 202.74 g of CO2 equivalents per liter — tap water, on the other hand, only 0.35 g. This means that still water performs around 586 times better than bottled mineral water.

Extrapolated to the annual consumption in Germany, which is currently 181.4 liters per capita, and a population of over 83 million, this would add up to three million tons of CO2. Of course: an intolerable situation! The green regulators and prohibition high priests are in demand! Therefore — and in order to promote a climate-friendly way of life — the association logically calls for a switch to consumption limited solely to tap water. Support for this next plan for paternalism and restricting freedom comes from the radical left-wing ZDF [public broadcaster] dirt-slinger Jan Böhmermann: He had already taken up the issue in a typical agitprop manner and also used the opportunity to launch one of his slanderous sweeping attacks — this time against the water provider and well builder “Viva con Agua”.

Among other things, Böhmermann complained that the company not only dared to produce mineral water, but also had no workers’ council and paid its employees too poorly. According to today’s inquisition and abjuration mechanisms, ”Viva con Agua” immediately rolled over and publicly announced that they would fully support drinking more tap water in Germany in the future. The company management also bowed and submissively justified itself that the employees in the filling plant had not previously asked for the formation of a workers’ council and were paid according to the applicable industry standards. This climate of high-handed public accusations and flaunted remorse, along with a bad conscience, does not bode well: It is not impossible that the Greens will start a campaign for a mineral water ban and order the future consumption of only tap water — or better yet, collected rainwater. [And I’m pretty sure that people will have to pay for that water according to the yearly rainfall, and I’m pretty sure that Coca-Cola will be exempt from this madness, too.]

New data gives the same result as old data: Like the flu, COVID hurt NO ONE who was young and healthy

New data from Israel has now confirmed what was obvious almost from the beginning, that COVID-19 was nothing more than a variation of the flu, a danger only to the elderly and the chronically sick.

According to newly revealed Israeli Ministry of Health data, during the entire epidemic there were zero deaths (that’s 0, nil, none, naught, zilch, null) from COVID to anyone under fifty who was of average and reasonable health.

Zero healthy individuals under the age of 50 have died of COVID-19 in Israel, according to newly released data. “Zero deceased of 18–49 years of age with no underlying morbidities,” the Israel Ministry of Health (MOH) said in response to a formal request from an attorney. Officials noted that the statement only applies to COVID-19 deaths where the MOH conducted an epidemiological investigation and had received information about the underlying diseases.

“Zero is a very, very clear number, and cannot be subject to interpretation,” Yoav Yehezkelli, a specialist in internal medicine and medical management, and former lecturer in the Department of Emergency and Disaster Management at Tel Aviv University in Israel, told The Epoch Times.

“Why were all the extreme measures of school closures, vaccination of children, and lockdowns needed?” he added. [emphasis mine]

This data simply confirms what numerous health experts unwilling to play political games with the data have said from the beginning, that COVID was essentially similar to the flu, harmless to healthy people and only a risk to the elderly and those with serious chronic health issues. Just like the flu, if you are healthy you have no reason to fear it, and in fact, you should be unbothered about getting it as it will give you natural immunity, thus making the spread of the virus more difficult and reducing the risk to those whom the virus (and the flu) could kill.

Trump — along with a lot of other Washington officials — proved this point when they all got COVID in October 2020 and quickly recovered. As I wrote then:

All told since October 1st about eighteen Washington elected officials, staffers, and reporters have announced testing positive for the coronavirus, based on several reports here, here, and here.

These of course are only the announced cases. I suspect that in Washington a lot more are testing positive but are keeping quiet about it.

And yet, among these announced cases has anyone died? No. Has anyone gotten seriously ill? No. In fact, almost no one has been hospitalized, except for Trump, and he recovered so fast that he was released from the Walter Reed hospital today after spending less than four days there. Moreover, he was sent to the hospital only out of caution, not because he was having any significant problems. During his stay it appears he continued his work schedule with almost as much vigor as before.

COVID was the flu. The last thing we should have done is taken action to prevent the young and healthy from getting the disease. Better to let them get infected so we would have quickly reached herd immunity, without destroying the lives of millions.

Instead, we allowed corrupt and power-hungry politicians lock down society, close schools, mandate useless and possibly dangerous COVID shots, all of which accomplished nothing in slowing the spread of the Wuhan flu.

I know there are those who will still refuse to read this data, but consider this recently disclosed CDC fact: During an April 2023 CDC conference — in which almost everyone attending had been jabbed one or multiple times — there was a “superspreader” event in which nearly everyone who became infected with COVID (with no one dying by the way) had gotten the mandated jabs. The shots did nothing to stop COVID. Nor did it reduce the severity of the virus, as these dishonest CDC officials claimed, since the variant involved is known to be harmless, essentially nothing more than a variation of a cold.

This dishonest claim only underlines the overall intellectual dishonesty of almost all health officials and government researchers from the beginning of the Wuhan panic, a dishonesty now highlighted by the retraction of more than 300 COVID peer-reviewed papers.

According to Gunnveig Grødeland, a senior researcher at the Institute of Immunology at the University of Oslo, many researchers took ethical shortcuts when writing their essays. “It will, of course, be withdrawn when it is found that ethical guidelines have been breached,” Grødeland quipped to Khrono, an academic news publication.

Grødeland states that there were other reasons articles were pulled, including researchers using too small sample size and new media outlets being deceptive about what the papers actually concluded. Sometimes the data changed, and articles were later retracted.

Putting aside these unfortunate facts about the corruption of science, let’s go back to the essentials. COVID was always nothing more than a new type of respiratory flu-like illness. Such new strains are always more virulent in their early stages. In the past, society allowed these new flu varients to quickly spread among the younger safe population even as they routinely acted to protect the elderly and the sick from infection. At the same time, the new strains would mutate to eventually become a variation of the common cold, which is what COVID is now.

It is long past time to stop being so afraid of this thing.

I biked competitively in NC, and when there was a group on the flats, the girls could draft with us. They had trouble doing their pulls at the lead for long and skipped their turns frequently. We didn’t care as we wanted to keep the speed up and they slowed it down. Whenever there was a climb or the hammerfest at the end to see who could out sprint each other, there were no girls left. These were the same bikers that rode 200+ miles a week and were in shape.

Suffice it to say I know the capabilities of bikers.

Transgender cyclist Austin Killips won the 131-mile Belgian Waffle Ride in North Carolina by five minutes:

Austin Killips, 27, who recently became the first openly trans woman to win an official Union Cycliste Internationale stage event, won $5,000 after easily coming in first in the 131-mile Belgian Waffle Ride in Hendersonville on Saturday, Cycling News reported.

Killips, who identifies as female, quickly took the lead in the women’s division before being passed briefly by Paige Onweller.

Killips ultimately surged ahead and beat her by five minutes.

Coming in third was Flavia Oliveira.

Onweller gave a nice interview after the race:

“Most of the day it was riding the top three women who were together, me Flavia and Austin. But yeah, I just kind of couldn’t match, you know, Austin and some of the single track and the power … just not comparable,” she said in an interview after the event.

“So kinda got gapped maybe 50 miles from there was kind of alone a lot of the time. Had a couple guys ride with and yeah, it’s kind of settled in and kept motoring and yeah, I got second,” Onweller said.

In a recent blog post, Onweller expressed a desire for a separate category for trans athletes.

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) allows biological men to participate in women’s sports. However, it came under fire last month when Killips won the Tour of the Gila in New Mexico.

Females erupted after his New Mexico win, forcing the UCI to order a review of the rules:

The UCI said after a management committee meeting it is “reopening consultation with the athletes and national federations.”

Cycling’s rules were changed last year to require transgender athletes to have serum testosterone levels of 2.5 nanomoles per liter or less for at least 24 months before competing in women’s events. The previous rule stipulated below five nanomoles for only 12 months.

“The UCI’s objective remains the same: to take into consideration, in the context of the evolution of our society, the desire of transgender athletes to practice cycling,” the Switzerland-based organization said. “The UCI also hears the voices of female athletes and their concerns about an equal playing field for competitors, and will take into account all elements, including the evolution of scientific knowledge.”

Allowing biological men to compete in women’s cycling caused former champion Hannah Arensman to quit the sport.

Pride logos are being turned back from their crayon colors so that the companies won’t lose their asses in the stock market.

New terms are being invented (see the title). The realization that young woke and fresh new faces in corporate marketing wasn’t as good as it sounded.

The mainstream media is dominated by coastal bubble elites who — I promise you — really believe that most Americans hold their opinions. These are people who live extraordinarily insular lives. They may have met the occasional Republican, but they’ve never had a conversation with one. That would be icky. It’s like when I go out to a sports bar to watch a University of Arizona basketball game since I’ve been back in Tucson — I’m awash in a sea of people who agree with me. If I go to another bar — HEY! — more friendlies.

The weariness I alluded to in the headline has been exacerbated this year by both the Bud Light brouhaha and Target stores deciding that they needed Pride merch for the kiddies. Back to the caring point, people on the right have really started to care where our money is spent. The financial losses that both brands have suffered have been significant. It’s perhaps the first time that those of us who aren’t on board with hyper-sexualizing little kids in the name of “tolerance” have felt like we still have a voice in this national conversation.

Athena wrote something over the weekend about Bud Light marketing VP Alissa Heinerscheid that had a paragraph that began with a gem of a line and finished with an example of real tolerance:

As we savor the first-ever “Pride Month,” during which woke CEOs are coping with the new reality that rainbow spokescreatures are currently radioactive, we also spare a thought for the benighted executive who made such an incredibly poor decision that it has already generated a new term in the business world: “Bud Lighting.” We are conservatives, after all, and even while we love us some schadenfreude, we still care for the human beings at the center of the sh*tstorm they caused.

The real fault in the debacle isn’t Heinerscheid’s. It’s the higher-ups at Anheuser-Busch InBev who decided to hire a marketing exec because she was younger and fresher, and none of them had any clue as to how to appeal to customers under the age of 50. There’s a good chance that Heinerscheid has never been in more than five bars in her life that served enough Bud Light to need to restock it every week. Personally, I’d like to thank her for getting so many conservatives to stop drinking the second crappiest beer in America (Miller Lite is still the worst). It’s basically the Boone’s Farm of beers — something you should only be drinking until your tastebuds grow up and you get a job.

Former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is taking on a new role in education, less than a month after she left office.

Beginning this fall, Lightfoot will teach a course at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health tentatively titled “Health Policy and Leadership,” according to an announcement from the school.

Lightfoot, who left office on May 15 after losing re-election, will serve as the Richard L. and Ronay A. Menschel Senior Leadership Fellow at the school beginning at the end of August.

The Menschel program, according to the school, “offers a rare opportunity for those who have recently served in top-level positions in government, multilateral institutions, nonprofit organizations and journalism to spend time at the school mentoring and teaching students who aspire to similar roles. Lightfoot will hold regular office hours to meet with students, faculty and staff during her time on campus.”

“As mayor, she showed strong leadership in advocating for health, equity, and dignity for every resident of Chicago, from her declaration of structural racism as a public health crisis to her innovative initiative to bring mental health services to libraries and shelters. And of course, she led the city through the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Michelle A. Williams, dean of faculty at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, according to CBS News.

Here is the reality.

She got paid to call everything racist that didn’t go her way, and oversaw the deaths of many hundreds of black people. The city got worse under her tenure and a democrat failed to get elected in place where republicans are extinct.

What is she going to be able to bring to the discussion at Harvard? How to fail? How to mis-govern? How to claim victimhood?

About Those Reparations In California

As I read about California trying to buy votes with reparations, it occurs to me that California can’t afford it nor were they in the slavery issue to begin with. It’s about being woke. No one mentions that the first slave owner in America was black, or that South America was by far a worse offender of slavery than the United States by millions of people. They let it go on longer and didn’t fight a civil war on behalf of stopping it.

It’s never mentioned that slavery still exists in North Africa today or that the people who sold the slaves were blacks to begin with.

A generation of Americans are being raised on half-truths and lies about the history of slavery in America.

They are given the impression that America was uniquely bad and that American slavery was uniquely bad. They learn nothing about slavery elsewhere. Among the many lies they are told are that “black slaves built America” and that America is systemically racist.

Since the only mortal enemy of the Left is truth, here are some truths about slavery.

America’s Slavery Compared to Slavery Elsewhere

If you are interested in morality and committed to truth, you do not ask, “Who had slaves?” You ask, “Who ended slavery?”

Who had slaves?

Every civilization throughout history had slaves: Asian societies, Africans, Native Americans, and other Indigenous peoples around the world, and the Muslim/Arab world, which may have had the most slaves of all.

Who ended slavery?

There was only one thing unique about slavery in the West: It raised the issue of the morality of slavery, ferociously debated it, and finally abolished it there, before it was abolished in any other civilization.

If you care about moral truth rather than, for example, promoting America-hatred, you must recognize—and you must teach—that America was one of the first slave-holding societies to abolish slavery. This even includes Africa.

Cornell professor Sandra Greene, a black scholar of African history, notes, “Slavery in the United States ended in 1865, but in West Africa it was not legally ended until 1875, and then it stretched on unofficially until almost World War I.”

The numbers of slaves.

According to the authoritative SlaveVoyages.org, the total number of black slaves imported from Africa into America was 305,326. The number of black slaves other countries imported from Africa into the rest of the New World—i.e., into the Caribbean and South America—was 12,521,337.

In other words, other countries imported 41 times the number of black slaves into the Western Hemisphere than the United States did, including the years before American independence).

Yet, the American Left never mentions this important moral point—because the Left-controlled education system suppresses facts it finds inconvenient, and the Left is not interested in morality or truth, but in vilifying America.

And then there is Arab/Muslim enslavement of blacks. Professor Paul Lovejoy, in his “Transformations in Slavery: A History of Slavery in Africa” (Cambridge University Press, 2012), reveals that from the beginning of Islam in the seventh century through the year 1600, the estimated number of Africans enslaved by Muslims was about 7 million. After 1600, it was about a million per year.

Do American students ever learn about the Arab/Muslim slave trade? How many know, for example, that a great percentage of the African male slaves were castrated so that they could not have families?

‘Black Slaves Built America’

This is another lie of the Left.

Those who make this argument point to the lucrative cotton manufacturing and trade in the 19th century—the industry in which black slaves were primarily used in the American South.

But University of Illinois professor of economics Deirdre McCloskey answered this:

Growing cotton, unlike sugar or rice, never required slavery. By 1870, freedmen and whites produced as much cotton as the South produced in the slave time of 1860. Cotton was not a slave crop in India or in southwest China, where it was grown in bulk … That slaves produced cotton does not imply that they were essential or causal in the production …

The United States and the United Kingdom and the rest would have become just as rich without the 250 years of unrequited toil. They have remained rich, observe, even after the peculiar institution was abolished, because their riches did not depend on its sinfulness.

But one need not know anything about cotton to understand how false “Black slaves built America” is. All you need is common sense.

First, even if slavery accounted for much of the wealth of the South, the Civil War that brought slavery to an end in the United States wiped out nearly all of that wealth and cost the Union billions (in today’s dollars).

Second, if slavery built the American economy, the most robust economy in world history, why didn’t Brazil become an economic superpower? Brazil imported 4 million black slaves, about 12 times as many as America. Why did the slave-owning American South lag so far behind the North economically?

Why did England, which, though it played a major role in the transatlantic slave trade until the beginning of the 19th century, had almost no slaves, become the most advanced economy of the 19th century?

“Black slaves built America” is left-wing propaganda to vilify America and to discredit capitalism.

“America is systemically racist.”

This is the Great Left Lie.

Four million black people have emigrated to the United States since the 1960s—and tens of millions more would if they could. Are they all fools? Why would anyone move to a country that is systemically bigoted against them? Did any Jews emigrate to Germany in the 1930s?

Blacks have emigrated to the United States because they know what Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the black woman who fled her homeland of Somalia and who now writes and lectures in America, knows:

What the media do not tell you is that America is the best place on the planet to be black, female, gay, trans, or what have you.

Blacks emigrating to America know what Algerian writer Kamel Daoud, writing in Le Monde and Le Point, knows:

It is forbidden to say that the West is also the place to which we flee when we want to escape the injustice of our country of origin, dictatorship, war, hunger, or simply boredom. It is fashionable to say that the West is guilty of everything.

As regards American slavery and everything else, always remember this: Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value. It is not a left-wing value.

Gillette lost roughly $7 billion last year when trashing men for being men.

It was, this brand is in decline, it’s been in decline for a really long time, and if we do not attract young drinkers to come and drink this brand, there will be no future for Bud Light.”

Bud Light sales dropped by about 28% in May when compared to sales figures from last year following controversy over the company’s partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. The Journal reported that the company recently informed wholesalers that it would buy back unsold cases of beer that have passed their expiration dates.

The Human Rights Campaign, the country’s largest LGBTQ+ advocacy group, has downgraded Anheuser-Busch’s equality score for the company’s handling of the backlash from a Bud Light promotion last month that featured transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney as a new spokesperson, USA Today reported on Monday.

A wave of conservative backlash harshly criticized the company for working with Mulvaney, with calls for a boycott appearing to be the reason for a drop in the sales of Bud Light, Business Insider reported.

HRC’s senior vice president of programs, research, and training Jay Brown said the group decided to revoke Anheuser-Busch’s equality score after several attempts over the last month to contact the company’s executive team went unanswered.

The group said it had asked the company to release a statement backing Mulvaney and transgender customers, shareholders, and employees.

Anheuser-Busch had previously held a perfect score and was designated a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality,” which meant the company took “concrete steps to establish and implement comprehensive policies, benefits, and practices that ensure greater equity for LGBTQ+ workers and their families,” according to HRC’s website.

“We don’t make this decision lightly,” Brown said. He emphasized that demonstrating backing for the LGBTQ+ community is particularly important in the current atmosphere, with numerous anti-LGBTQ bills under discussion in legislatures across the nation.

Found Footage, Transheuser Busch Hates White Men Working There (Also Their Main Customers)

It finally came out. AB is truly woke. Their main customer base for decades is men, the beer drinkers. I don’t know the white/black breakdown other than 13% of the population is black, so I’m guessing more white beer drinking men.

So this comes out.

Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of Bud Light, has pledged to purge its white, male employees in an effort to have a “more diverse and inclusive environment,” according to footage found on the company’s website. The company has seen its sales collapse since the disastrous Dylan Mulvaney advertisement campaign which wiped billions off the firm’s value, and chased millions of customers away.

In the video, one employee of Anheuser-Busch explains, “we’re still 40 percent women, and 60 percent men, still predominantly white: so there’s still work to be done.” The “work” to be “done” is apparently replacing white male workers with alternatives.

In doing this, another employee says, “I feel like I finally found my voice as a black woman, and I’m not prepared to lose it.”

Discussing the #CheerstoDiversityAndInclusion campaign, Anheuser-Busch’s European Diversity and Inclusion Manager, Lara Laila Gärber explains, “at AB InBev, what we wanted to do is ensure that diversity and inclusion is fully integrated in our business strategy.”

Anheuser-Busch has lost billions of dollars as a result of its decision to embrace diversity by partnering with Dylan Mulvaney for the now infamous ad campaign. The stock has also since been downgraded by HSBC.

Back to me.

As a person sitting in the grandstands watching the shit show, I’d say they were cutting their own throats. Not everything is for everybody every time. Different people like different things. Why you don’t promote your customers instead of demeaning them for the sake of woke and pleasing Blackrock ESG for your proper CEI scoring (how woke you are for DEI, CRT, etc.).

Bud Light sales began dropping in the first week of April and kept falling for weeks. The boycott has hurt other Anheuser-Busch beers, too, including Budweiser, Michelob Ultra and Busch Light. Sales volumes for rivals Coors Light and Miller Lite in the first week of May were up about 16% and 17%, respectively, according to Bump Williams.

Sure, it’s easy to say go woke, go broke, but this would be in textbooks in colossal marketing mistakes, except the colleges are just as woke. They’ll provide cover for this unless someone wants to actually teach success.

No spin in the world is going to be able to hide the sales numbers. They thought it would blow over, but they underestimated how sick the normal person in America is getting from having this woke crap shoved down our throats by the coastal elites.

Keep hiring those Harvard grads to lower your sales even more. I’d be hiring a bunch of male toxicity employees who actually understood the product and the customer. I bet Don Draper would do better in his sleep than this.

Bias is bias, discrimination is discrimination. Disparaging someone for the color of their skin, any color is racist. It’s sexist to judge against another sex. I wonder if the major corporations realized how out of touch they were when they started this nonsense. It seems that DEI, CRT and the rest of the alphabet wokeness isn’t selling any products. It’s part of the self destruction, like the Portland post below that shows most of regular people are tired of this woke crap.

The companies that were trying to get ESG points from Blackrock are paying a high price for their actions.

Just two months ago, transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney was flying high with endorsements from Bud Light, Nike and Maybelline, to name a few. Hot off her “365 Days of Girlhood” journey on social media, she was also enjoying an elaborate musical event staged at the Rainbow Room in her honor.

That was then. But now, after the backlash against Bud Light’s decision to partner with Mulvaney on social media and feature her face on beer cans, other trans influencers say they’re feeling the heat as well.

Some told The Post that, at a time when they are usually in high demand — the period leading up to Pride Month in June — brand partnership offers are drying up.

Rose Montoya, who has 1 million followers on TikTok and Instagram, said she’s noticed a big drop-off in the number of deals she’s been offered.

Prior to Pride Month last year, Montoya — a Seattle University graduate who bills herself as a content creator, trans advocate, model and actress — was getting up to 100 brand partnerships thrown her way. Now, she said, it’s been reduced to a trickle of maybe 12 or so offers.

“Last year was my best yet,” Montoya, 27, told The Post. “I had everything — skincare brands, TV networks, advocacy groups, lots of start-ups. They all reached out. Now I’m not hearing from them.”

While she noted that “the market has also become over-saturated with influencers since 2000,” Montoya added that “the average queer creative makes all their money in June —enough to live on for the rest of the year. And the fact that there’s been a chill probably isn’t helped by the whole Bud Light thing.”

Montoya said that she can get up to $15,000 for a brand partnership. Some of her contracts are for six months at a time, and she hopes to renew one of those soon.

It’s Too Late, Portland Wants To Reverse Defund The Police

I had a relative move there in the early 2010’s. The theme was keep Portland weird (look out Austin who has adopted that phrase) and I knew it was going down the toilet right then. I saw the beginnings of anarchy, homeless people defecating on the street and mentally unstable people yelling at us as we walked to the foodie places. Everything was so hip, but the crumbling of the infrastructure was there at night in the tent cities. They thought they were the elite and upper crust because they were against what was morally right.

Drugs were made legal and the flush began to swirl faster.

Ted Wheeler, the mayor who let it self destruct did nothing to save it. He embraced everything liberal and now you see what is happening.

Little did I know how far down the sewer it would go. After occupy, antifa, homelessness, drugs, crime, shoplifting and control by the left who wouldn’t uphold the law, it is a shithole like San Fransisco now.

They want to refund the police, but it’s too far gone. The city is so indoctrinated in what they feel it should be rather than right vs wrong that it would take burning it down and starting over.

Half of the state has voted to join Idaho. Even they want to get away from Portland.

Anyway, here is the story.

Back in 2020 when Democratic-run cities decided it would be a good idea to give in to angry mobs of protestors and defund local police and other authoritative agencies, no city’s voice seemed louder than that of Portland. The city’s leaders cut police funding by $15 million leaving the city largely in the hands of the angry, violent mobs that had forced the move.

Now, 3 years later with the city sinking under skyrocketing crime rates, a shrinking tax base, and shuttered businesses, Portland seems to have finally realized that it needs police, but replacing the force it all but threw away is proving to be an uphill battle. The city is struggling to attract new officers, DAs, and investigators given its leaders’ recent history of turning their backs on law enforcement. Potential replacements know better than to go where they’re not wanted.

The lack of candidates for its underfunded and under-appreciated police force and court system is making it difficult for a newly launched task force to fulfill its purpose and crack down on retail and vehicle theft in what now appears to be a lawless city.

Crime rates have risen so drastically since 2020, that Portland residents are now 3 times more likely to be the victim of a property crime than the average U.S. citizen, according to data from Neighborhood Scout. Portland had 63,000 property thefts in 2022 along with roughly 11,000 stolen vehicles – a new record for the city that doesn’t need police.

Now, residents who have the means to do so are fleeing the city and taking their businesses with them. Public data has shown that since the pandemic, more than 2,600 businesses left downtown Portland and filed for changes of address with USPS.

Not only has the city been left trying to replace the $15 million it cut from its budget for police and the officers themselves, but now Portland is having to find a way to reinstate its police force with limited funding as its tax base continues to shrink as more residents pack up and leave.

Meanwhile, according to a report by Zerohedge, most of the remaining local police officers have been doing everything they can to get off the force. Officers have not only been quitting at an alarmingly fast pace but there has also been a substantial uptick in early retirements and transfer requests to other municipalities.

To complicate matters further, the police who have survived the past 3 years have become discouraged by liberal prosecutors who never take cases to court, instead opting to return criminals to the streets.

Meanwhile, it is unlikely that defunding the police, which was done wholeheartedly and briskly, can be undone as quickly and thoroughly. It is far easier to cut $15 million than it is to raise it – a lesson the Portland City Council and the city’s residents have had to learn the hard way.

It’s a tough time to be a Portland resident, but a great time to be a criminal. As for the city’s police force, it will take years, possibly decades, to rebuild what the City Council destroyed in a matter of months.

Where Are The Feminists In The War On Women?

For all the carping they do about being discriminated against, how come they haven’t hit the roof on all the erasing women lately? As I point out through the evidence below, feminists don’t care about women. They care about promoting themselves and/or getting money. They’ll wear pink pussy caps if they can hate someone like a politician, but won’t fight for the actual cause.

They are quiet while companies erase them or push them aside for men, pretending to be women. I don’t care what they want to be called, they still need a prostate exam and will never have ovaries or Fallopian tubes. They are straight men.

Next and possibly one of the worst is the latest SI swimsuit cover. There is a man who took thousands if not hundreds of thousands from actual females when they put him on the cover. The link will take you to him in a woman’s bathing suit. I don’t want to have to look at it. The Swimsuit edition used to be about gorgeous females. It provided teenagers with endless one handed page turning.

Women Attacked, Violated, Disempowered, and Silenced Under Sharia

The stories we bring to you this month focus on the status of women who live under Islamic Law (sharia). The Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI), the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan are among the world’s regimes under which some of the most horrific human rights abuses against women occur. Islamic Law consigns women to a second-class status under which the rights of men are accorded a superior status. Such unequal treatment derives from the Qur’an, which allows Muslim males to marry up to four women in addition to those “that your right hands possess” (i.e., sex slaves, Q 4:3) and to grant male children inheritance “equal to that of two females” (Q 4:11). In Surah 4:34, the Qur’an tells Muslim men that if they “fear disloyalty and ill conduct” from their wives, they should admonish them, refuse to share their beds, and “beat them”. Muslim men are told in Q: 2:223 that “Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how you will” (no such thing as marital rape under sharia). [Editor’s Note — ‘tilth’ is cultivated land ready to seed.]

Regarding the requirement that women must cover their hair and wear concealing clothing, this derives directly from Surahs 28:31 and 33:59, which connect covering up with not being “molested” (i.e., raped, by Muslim men). In this spirit, the IRI is cracking down on women and girls who have been in the forefront of the uprising against the Tehran regime since the September 2022 murder by the so-called “morality police” of the young Kurdish woman, Mahsa Amini, for supposedly allowing some hair to show under her hijab.

Just to prove they don’t care, a man with full dick and balls is masquerading as a sorority sister and getting a boner while ogling the girls. He’s not trans. He’s an Animal House or Revenge of the Nerds pervert who is scamming the system to ogle girls because he is a loser who couldn’t get one the real way.

The lawsuit also alleges that ‘Mr. Smith has, while watching members enter the sorority house, had an erection visible through his leggings.’

Columbia prof says those bothered by mentally ill public transit passengers are 'racist'

Seven members of the University of Wyoming Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority are suing after the chapter admitted a 21-year-old biological male who identifies as female.

The lawsuit notes that the individual, who goes by the name Artemis Langford (referred to in the lawsuit as Terry Smith), is 6’2” and 260 pounds, often sits in the women’s common area on the second floor and watches them for several hours without saying a word. 

The group of women filed the complaint against Langford himself, as well as Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity base in Ohio, the organization president, and Kappa Kappa Gamma Building Co. in Wyoming.

Langford does not live at the house but often visits it and watches the women, according to the suit. However, he is currently set to move into the house in September. 

The complaint details an incident in which “One sorority member walked down the hall to take a shower, wearing only a towel,” and “She felt an unsettling presence, turned, and saw Mr. Smith watching her silently.”  

The lawsuit also alleges that “Mr. Smith has, while watching members enter the sorority house, had an erection visible through his leggings.” Langford reportedly makes no attempts to appear feminine but simply identifies using “she/her” pronouns. 

On May 15, the women made an appearance on the Megyn Kelly show to talk about the issue. One of the women, named Jaylyn, said that “It’s a weird, gut-wrenching feeling that every time I leave my room, I’ll walk past him in the hall in whatever setting that may be. And it’s never a pleasant encounter and that’s the scary part. This just goes to show that we need women’s spaces for that reason. Our house is our home.”

The women also said that several members have already left the sorority. 

Langford’s personal Instagram page features only five posts—four of which are photos of women’s feet. Some of the accompanying captions read: “This young girl has perfect feet” and “I’ve always had a mild foot fetish.” 

Campus Reform reported in October when Langford was first admitted to the sorority—making it the first at the university to induct a transgender person.

Now, Chinese Companies Help CCP Manipulate Global Opinion on Social Media.

The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) cyber-influence campaigns against Western democracies on social media have become more frequent, sophisticated, and effective in recent years, with more Chinese government agencies, such as Qi An Xin, becoming involved.

Named “Gaming Public Opinion,” the report by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) included data collection spanning Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Sina Weibo, and ByteDance products.

It reveals previously unreported CCP cyber-influence operations, such as one called the “Spamouflage network,” in which inauthentic accounts are used to spread claims that the United States is irresponsibly conducting cyber-espionage operations against China and other countries.

“The CCP has used these cyber-enabled influence operations to seek to interfere in U.S. politics, Australian politics, and national security decisions, undermine the Quad and Japanese defence policies, and impose costs on Australian and North American rare-earth mining companies,”  the report said.

The most notable Chinese party-state agencies involved include the People’s Liberation Army’s Strategic Support Force, which conducts cyber operations as part of the army’s political warfare; the Ministry of State Security, which conducts covert operations for state security; the Central Propaganda Department, which oversees China’s domestic and foreign propaganda efforts; the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), which enforces China’s internet laws; and the Cyberspace Administration of China, which regulates China’s internet ecosystem.

Chinese state media outlets and Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials are also running clandestine operations that seek to amplify their own overt propaganda and influence activities.

Private Chinese Companies Assisting Government Agencies

In addition, the authors found that private Chinese companies collaborate with CCP agencies in their operations.

In a recent coordinated CCP propaganda campaign named “Operation Honey Badger” (蜜獾行动) by Chinese government-linked entities, for instance, Chinese cybersecurity company Qi An Xin (奇安信) supporting the influence operation.

“We uncover new evidence to suggest that the MPS, with the support of cybersecurity company Qi An Xin, may be involved in this campaign,” they wrote.

“The company has the capacity to seed disinformation about advanced persistent threats to its clients in Southeast Asia and other countries… It’s deeply connected with Chinese intelligence, military, and security services and plays an important role in China’s cybersecurity and state security strategies.”

As of April 2023, the “Operation Honey Badger” campaign continues to attribute cyber-espionage operations to the U.S. government.

Clive Hamilton, the Australian academic who authored “Silent Invasion,” said he agrees with the arguments made in the ASPI report.

Hamilton said he believes the CCP’s goal of manipulating public opinion remains the same, but the way it actually does it is changing.

As countries such as Australia have strengthened legislation and law enforcement to counter foreign interference, it has become more difficult for Beijing to carry out on-the-ground missions in those countries. That’s why underground work through networks is all the more important, he told Radio Free Asia.

Solution: Strengthen legislation, intelligence sharing, and cooperate with social media

The authors suggest governments review foreign interference legislation and consider mandating that social media platforms disclose state-backed influence operations and other transparency reporting to increase the public’s threat awareness.

In addition, they appeal to partners and allies to share more intelligence with one another on such influence operations.

“Strong open-source intelligence skills and collection capabilities are a crucial part of investigating and attributing these operations, the low classification of which should making intelligence sharing easier,” they argued.

Whole Cows No Bugs

On the other hand, social media platforms are urged to remove access to those analytics for suspicious accounts breaching platform policies, making it difficult for identified malicious actors to measure the effectiveness of influence operations.

Yale research accidentally proved liberals more racist than conservatives

The media loves to paint conservatives as racist, but they blame others for exactly what they do. This time it’s the old reliable, racism.

The writeup itself is a bunch of liberal racist gobbledygook, filled with virtue signaling, misrepresentations, and blindness to the meaning of the findings.

Glorious. Truly glorious. Levels of stupidity that only academics can achieve. I am pretty sure it was put together by the Yale PR department rather than the researchers, who seem a bit more sober than the PR people.

The study to which I refer is not new. It is new to me, though, so I feel utterly free to share my thoughts because the study confirms what anybody who has spent time around condescending liberals instinctively knows.

The Yale writeup of the study is a perfect example of how clueless liberals are, and how blind to reason academics are so often.

New research suggests that bias may also shape daily interactions between racial minorities and white people, even those whites who tend to be less biased.

According to new research by Cydney Dupree, assistant professor of organizational behavior at Yale SOM, white liberals tend to downplay their own verbal competence in exchanges with racial minorities, compared to how other white Americans act in such exchanges. The study is scheduled for publication in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology.

Notice how the discussion begins? They claim to be studying Whites who are LESS BIASED. The assumption is that White liberals are not biased against Black people, while their research shows exactly the opposite as we shall see. The researchers are liberal, know that liberals are good, and therefore liberals are not the biased ones. Conservatives, who behave the same with both Whites and minorities, are the genuinely biased ones.

Liberal=good. It is a law of nature.

So how do liberals behave, these truly good and unbiased people?

The team found that  The difference wasn’t statistically significant in speeches by Republican candidates, though “it was harder to find speeches from Republicans delivered to minority audiences,” Dupree notes. There was no difference in Democrats’ or Republicans’ usage of words related to warmth. “It was really surprising to see that for nearly three decades, Democratic presidential candidates have been engaging in this predicted behavior.”

In other words, Democrats talk down to Black and Hispanic people, while Republicans do not.

Republicans treat their audiences of whatever race the same, and with the same basic respect for their intelligence and ability to reason.

Hmmm. Who is “less biased?”

What about in work settings? Perhaps liberal politicians treat minorities as if they were children, but the average liberal treats their Black colleagues just the same as their White colleagues?

Nope, they too assume that Blacks are stupid.

The researchers found that No significant differences were seen in the word selection of conservatives based on the presumed race of their partner. “It was kind of an unpleasant surprise to see this subtle but persistent effect,” Dupree says. “Even if it’s ultimately well-intentioned, it could be seen as patronizing.”

Hmm. Patronizing? Why would anybody assume that treating people as if they are stupid and incompetent is patronizing?

Dupree and Fiske suspect that the behavior stems from a liberal person’s desire to connect with other races. One possible reason for the “competence downshift,” as the authors describe it, is that, regardless of race, people tend to downplay their competence when they want to appear likeable and friendly. But it’s also possible that “this is happening because people are using common stereotypes in an effort to get along,” Dupree says.

Initial data from follow-up studies suggest that describing a black person as highly intelligent, thus reversing the stereotype, or as already highly motivated to get along with whites, thus removing the need to prove goodwill, can reduce the likelihood that a white person will downplay their competence in their interactions with the black person.

Do you see what they are doing here? Liberals treat minorities as if they are clumsy children because they want to be liked. They are just super nice people, that’s all.

Conservatives, those meanies, treat everybody the same, proving that they hate minorities and are a bunch of White supremacists. If they were truly good people they would treat Black people like children, as liberals do. Or something.

Despite all the evidence that White liberals are racist–they assume that Blacks cannot understand complicated things and that Blacks are incompetent–the researchers actually characterize the White liberals as “allies” to minorities.

Some allies.

While many previous studies have examined how people who hold racial bias behave in multi-racial settings, few have studied how whites who are more well-intentioned interact with people of other races. “There’s less work that explores how well-intentioned whites try to get along with racial minorities,” Dupree says. “We wanted to know their strategies for increasing connections between members of different social groups—and how effective these strategies are.”

Conservatives are the ones who aren’t well-intentioned. We know this because they treat minorities like they treat everybody else. We know liberals are well-intentioned because they treat Blacks and Hispanics like little children.

Yeah, you go with that.

There is, of course, an alternative explanation for why White liberals behave as if they look down on minorities as inferior: it may be because they look down on minorities because they believe them to be inferior.

Ever consider that? Isn’t that the assumption in every affirmative action program? In every attempt to eliminate testing requirements? In fact, in every DEI initiative is an assumption that minorities are incapable of achieving success on their own.

Most Whites, particularly socio-political liberals, now endorse racial equality. Archival and experimental research reveals a subtle but reliable ironic consequence: White liberals self-present less competence to minorities than to other Whites—that is, they patronize minorities stereotyped as lower status and less competent. In an initial archival demonstration of the competence downshift, Study 1 examined the content of White Republican and Democratic presidential candidates’ campaign speeches. Although Republican candidates did not significantly shift language based on audience racial composition, Democratic candidates used less competence-related language to minority audiences than to White audiences.Across five experiments (total N= 2,157), White participants responded to a Black or White hypothetical (Studies 2, 3, 4, S1) or ostensibly real (Study 5) interaction partner. Three indicators of self-presentation converged:sophistication of vocabulary selected for an assignment, competence-relatedtraitsselectedfor an introduction, and competence-related content of brief, open-ended introductions. Conservatism indicators included: self-reported political affiliation(liberal-conservative), Right-Wing Authoritarianism (values-based conservatism) and Social Dominance Orientation (hierarchy-based conservatism). Internal meta-analyses revealed that liberals—but not conservatives—presented less competence to Black interaction partners than to White ones. The simple effect was small but significant across studies, and most reliable for the self-reported measureof conservatism. This possibly unintentional but ultimately patronizing competence-downshift suggests that well-intentioned liberal Whites may draw on low-status/competence stereotypes to affiliate with minorities

Liberal racism is a very real, measurable phenomenon, based upon the assumption that minorities are unintelligent, incompetent, and lack self-control.

The latter is made clear by the criminal justice policies the Left is putting forward: they refuse to hold minority criminals responsible for their actions because, apparently, they do not believe they are competent moral actors capable of behaving in a civilized fashion.

That assumption is not true, and in fact, encourages criminality among minorities who are assured they will catch a break. For many, it becomes rational to behave as a criminal because they can get away with it.

The statistics are actually pretty clear that success in America is not determined by race. Whites are, among ethnic groups, pretty much in the middle of the pack in income compared to other racial groups. This data is a bit old, but the chart is so easy to understand that I chose to use it. The current data is not much different.

However, the three equations stand firmly in the way.  It is these three equations — simple enough to be explained here for the general reader, yet devastating enough utterly to destroy the official climate change narrative — that will soon lay low the enemies of prosperity, democracy, and liberty who have, until now, gotten away with undermining the West, no less from within than from without, by their childishly apocalyptic climate change narrative.

The first of these equations was presented to you here a few months ago.  Therefore, I shall summarize that discussion briefly.  The equation comes in two versions: the wrong version, on the basis of which the climate science establishment felt improperly confident that unabated emissions of carbon dioxide and other harmless greenhouse gases would soon bring about Thermageddon, and the corrected version, which shows that IPCC’s predictions of large and dangerous global warming are false and without scientific foundation.

The system-gain factor is the variable by which the predicted 1.2 K direct warming by doubled CO2 in the air is multiplied to obtain the predicted final warming by doubled CO2 after taking account of feedback response, a knock-on, additional warming signal driven by and proportional to the direct or reference signal.

The erroneous version of the equation neglects what engineers call the base signal, the 260 K direct sunshine temperature.  Climate scientists call this the emission temperature.  It is the temperature that would obtain at the Earth’s surface in the absence of any greenhouse gases.

The 29 K total greenhouse effect is the sum of 8 K direct warming by natural greenhouse gases, 1 K direct warming by anthropogenic greenhouse gases, and 20 K total feedback response.

Multiply the 1.2 K direct doubled-CO2 warming by the erroneous system-gain factor 3.2 to get climatologists’ 3.85 K final doubled-CO2 warming. Sure enough, the average final or equilibrium doubled-CO2 warming predicted by the general-circulation models in the sixth and latest generation of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project is 3.85 K.

But the corrected system-gain factor bears in mind — as climatologists in this crucial respect do not — that the sun is shining and that, therefore, the dominant 260 K sunshine temperature must be included in the corrected equation.  Therefore, the system-gain factor is not 29 / 9, or 3.2, but (260 + 29) / (260 + 9), or just 1.1.  Then the final warming to be expected in response to the 1.2 K direct warming by doubled CO2 is not 3.85 K, but more like 1.3 K, which is small, harmless, and net-beneficial.

Climate scientists made their error when they borrowed the physics of feedback from a branch of engineering physics known as control theory.  They did not understand what they had borrowed.  When I pointed out their grave error to the world’s most eminent climatologist, he said he did not believe that the feedback processes in the climate (chiefly the extra water vapor — itself a greenhouse gas — that the air can hold as it is directly warmed by the non-condensing greenhouse gases) would respond to the sunshine temperature.

So I asked him how the inanimate feedback processes in the climate knew that at any given moment, such as the present, they should not respond in the slightest to the 260 K sunshine temperature but should respond violently and extremely to the 9 K direct warming by natural and anthropogenic greenhouse gases.  A Kelvin is a Kelvin is a Kelvin, I said.  He had no answer to my question.  He shuffled off, looking baffled.

It was hitherto unnoticed that feedbacks such as the water vapor feedback (the only one that really matters — all the others broadly self-cancel) necessarily respond to the entire 269 K input signal or reference temperature.  Therefore (I shall not show the working for this, but trust me), just 0.01 unit of increase in feedback strength would add as much as 1 K to the final warming by doubled CO2.  But it is entirely impossible to measure feedback strength directly by any method, and certainly not to a precision of only a few hundredths of a unit.

Therefore, after correction of climate scientists’ error, no method of deriving predictions of anthropogenic global warming that is based on feedback analysis — as just about all of the current official predictions are — is capable of producing predictions that are any better than mere guesswork.

The IPCC, not realizing this even though it has been told about the error, bases very nearly all of its predictions upon feedback analysis.  Its 2013 Fifth Assessment Report mentions “feedback” more than 1,100 times, its 2021 Sixth Assessment Report more than 2,600 times.  In short, the IPCC’s entire analysis of the “how much warming” question is meaningless and valueless.

How could so crass a mistake have been made?  The answer is that when the climatologists asked the control theorists how to calculate feedback response, they were told that they should base the calculation only on the gain signal (in the climate, the 9 K direct warming by natural and anthropogenic greenhouse gases) and on the 20 K feedback response.  Control theorists do things this way because in typical control-theoretic applications, such as electronic long-distance telephone circuits or factory control processes, the feedback response signal is 10 to 100 times larger than any other signal in the circuit.  Therefore, neglecting the base signal usually makes no significant difference to the calculation, so they neglect it.

In the climate, however, it is the other way about.  The base signal in the climate, the 260 K sunshine temperature, is almost 30 times the 9 K direct warming by greenhouse gases, and 13 times the feedback response.  The sunshine dominates.  Therefore, as common sense would in any event dictate, one cannot ignore it in carrying out the “how much warming” calculation.

The significance of this first equation, then, is that it proves beyond reasonable doubt that climatologists’ profitable but misguided whining about the rate of future global warming is based on a very large and very serious error of physics that has gone undetected until now because different scientific disciplines — here climatology and control theory — are increasingly narrow in their specialization.  The climate scientists did not (and do not) understand the control theory they had borrowed, and the control theorists did not (and do not) realize what climate scientists have done with the borrowed theory.  It is in this disastrous interdisciplinary compartmentalization that the climate change scare is rooted.

The truth is that one must use methods other than feedback analysis to derive estimates of future anthropogenic warming.  But all such methods, which are based on observation rather than theoretical manipulation of data in climate models, show far less global warming than diagnosis of feedback strength from the models’ outputs shows.

The simplest observational method is this.  The IPCC in 1990 predicted that until 2090, the world would warm by between 0.2 and 0.5 K/decade, with a midrange estimate of 0.3 K/decade (i.e., 2 to 5 K per century equivalent, with a best estimate of 3 K).  Likewise, now as then, the IPCC predicts that final warming in response to doubled CO2 in the air will be 2 to 5 K, with a best estimate of 3 K.  However, according to the University of Alabama in Huntsville, which maintains the most accurate and up-to-date satellite temperature record, since the IPCC’s First Assessment Report in 1990 there has only been 0.136 K warming per decade.

This slow warming is equivalent to less than 1.4 K per century or, per CO2 doubling, well below the lower bound of the IPCC’s range of predictions, and less than half its midrange prediction.

Note how close that 1.36 K is to the 1.3 K we obtained by correcting official climatology’s error of feedback analysis.  A more elaborate method, known as the energy-budget method, also shows about 1.3 K warming per century or per CO2 doubling, with a range of 1 to 2 K.  The first equation, then, powerfully suggests that our sins of emission have not caused and will not cause a problem, crisis, emergency, or apocalypse.

But let us pretend, just for the sake of argument, that climatologists had not perpetrated their elementary error and that, therefore, there might, after all, be an impending cataclysm.  In that case, what can we do about it?  The second of our three equations demonstrates that the currently favored method of Saving the Planet — replacing coal and gas generation with windmills and solar panels — will make little or no difference to global temperature.

Our second equation says excess generation E by wind and solar power in a given grid is the difference between the installed nameplate capacity N of wind and solar in that grid (their output in ideal weather) and the total mean hourly demand D for electricity from that grid.

Obvious though this equation seems, grid operators and governments are, as far as we can discover, wholly unaware of it.  But by rights it ought to signal the E = N — D of any further costly destruction of the countryside and the oceans, the birds, bees and bats, the whales and dolphins by ugly solar panels and wind turbines.

Douglas Pollock, the Chilean engineer who discovered the equation, has investigated several Western national grids and has plotted the results on the graph below.

The United States could, if it wished, add more wind and solar power to its grid, but the cost would be enormous and the CO2 emissions abated surprisingly small, because coal and gas-fired backup generation must be kept running at wasteful spinning reserve at all times in case the wind drops and the sun goes down.

However, the seven countries listed as already exceeding the fundamental hourly-demand limit on wind and solar capacity will not reduce CO2 emissions at all if they try installing any more wind and solar power.  All they will do is to drive up the cost of electricity, which is already eight times greater in the West than in China or India, where the expansion of the world’s cheapest form of electricity — coal-fired power — is continuing rapidly.

This second of our equations also puts an E = N — D to the notion that replacing real autos with electric buggies at twice the capital and running costs will reduce emissions.  It won’t, because in most Western countries, wind and solar power are already at or above their Pollock limit, so that the power for the buggies will have to come from coal and gas, at least until the soi-disant “Greens” abandon their sullen opposition to the peaceful use of nuclear power.

The Traffic-Light Tendency — the Greens too yellow to admit they’re really Reds — are opposed to coal-fired, gas-fired, oil-fired, nuclear, and hydroelectric generation.  Yet wind and solar power, which they favor, cannot keep the lights on 24/7; are cripplingly expensive; are cruel to landscape, seascape, and wildlife; and, though their exceptionally low energy density, do more environmental damage per MWh generated than any other form of power.

Why, then, do the climate communists advocate wind and solar power and oppose just about everything else?  They do so precisely because there is no quicker or more certain way to destroy the economies of the hated West and to end its hegemony than to destroy its energy infrastructure.  For that, and not Saving the Planet, is their true objective.  What they advocate makes sense when seen in that light and makes no sense otherwise.

So to our third simple but decisively powerful equation.  Let us pretend not only that there may be a global warming Armageddon (though we have proven there will not be), but also that we can do something about it by the proliferation of windmills and solar panels (though we have proven that we can achieve nothing by that method except crippling our grids and vastly increasing the already prohibitive cost of electrical power, further turning the terms of trade to the advantage of the communist-led countries that are vastly increasing their coal-fired generation).

How much global warming would worldwide attainment of net zero emissions by 2050 prevent?  It is a measure of the extent to which such little debate as the far left have permitted on the climate question has been stifled, and of the extent to which the objective of climate policy is political rather than scientific or existential, that this question does not seem to have been asked before.

I was in Parliament the other day, talking to a Conservative M.P.  I asked him what he thought about global warming.  He said, “I’m a mathematician, so I know we have to show leadership by getting to net zero emissions by 2050.”

“So,” I replied, “if the whole world followed the policy of just about all the British governing class and went to net zero emissions by 2050, how much global warming that would otherwise have occurred by that year would be prevented?”

His face was a picture.  He had clearly never thought of asking that surely elementary question.  When I told him the answer, he was dismayed.  But the answer is not in doubt, for the necessary equation is again unchallengeably simple.

First, we need to know how much global warming would occur on present trends.  Typically, one goes back at least 30 years, so let us go back to 1990, the date of the IPCC’s First Assessment Report.  Since then, our sins of emission have added one 30th of a unit of influence every year in a near-perfect straight line.  All those trillions squandered on trying to make global warming go away have not altered that third-of-a-century-long trend one iota.

Now, if the whole world went immediately to net zero emissions today, we should be able to abate 27/30 units of our influence on the climate.  But if we get there in a straight line over the next 27 years, we shall abate about half of those 0.9 units — i.e., 0.45 units.

Next, how much global warming would each unit we abate prevent?  Here, as throughout, we are using official figures.  The IPCC says that the warming over the next 70 years if we suddenly doubled the CO2 in the air today would be 1.8 C.  This is known as the “transient doubled-CO2 response,” or TCR.  And, again according to the IPCC, there is an “effective radiative forcing,” or ERF, of 3.93 units of anthropogenic influence in response to doubled CO2.  Therefore, temperature change per unit of influence is 1.8 / 3.93, or 0.46 K per unit.

Multiply the 0.45 units the world would abate if all nations went to net zero by 0.46 K per unit, and the total warming prevented by global net zero emissions would be just 0.2 K.

The M.P., on being told this strikingly puny figure, said: “Oh, well, there must be a very large uncertainty in that number.”

“No,” I said, “there isn’t.  The IPCC predicts up to 5 K warming this century.  But even if the whole world actually got to net zero emissions, which it won’t because the communist-led nations are expanding their coal-fired capacity at a very rapid rate, somewhere between 0.1 and 0.3 K of that warming would be prevented by 2050.  The midrange estimate is 0.2 K.”

In fact, even less warming than this would be prevented.  For we have used official midrange estimates to calculate the 0.2 K warming that even global net zero would prevent.  But those estimates are proven to have overstated the true medium-term rate of global warming by more than double.  So the true warming the world would prevent if all nations, rather than just those of the empty-headed West, were to go together to net zero would be less than 0.1 K.

Then I added the clincher.  I told the M.P. that the U.K. National Grid had estimated $3.6 trillion as the cost of re-engineering the grid to meet the net zero target; that electricity generation accounts for less than a quarter of U.K. emissions; and that, therefore, the cost to the U.K. of getting to net zero by 2050 would be more than $15 trillion, or six years’ total annual GDP.

Therefore, I said, every $1 billion the world squanders on trying to get to net zero emissions by 2050 would prevent only one 16-millionth of a degree of warming.  Did he, as a mathematician, consider that to be value for money?

The M.P. capitulated.  “The trouble with you, Monckton,” he said, “is that you take impossible positions on everything, and you’re always right.”

Now, the purpose of this unusual exercise has been to reduce the apparently complex global warming argument to just three equations so simple that they can be explained to a layman without too much difficulty, and then to explain them.  In my submission, any one of these three equations, on its own, would in a rational world be more than sufficient to lead Western governments to abandon all their global warming mitigation policies at once.

The three equations together are devastating.  There is no global warming problem; even if there were, our current method of addressing it will make no difference; and even if the whole world attained net zero by 2050, global temperature would barely change.

These three arguments are simple, but they are strong.  It is only because the far left have captured the debate and have silenced discussions such as this that governments have allowed themselves to be fooled.  Soon, that will change, whether the far left and their paymasters and instructors in the FSB and the Ministry of State Security like it or not.  For the laws of physics, of economics, and of mathematics are not up for repeal.

AI Replacing Jobs At IBM – The Back Story

I have a unique position with regards to IBM. I’ve been a customer, authorized dealer, competitor, business partner and employee over three decades.

Recently IBM announced this:

IBM recently became the first major company to acknowledge that it intends to substitute its workforce with artificial intelligence. CEO Arvind Krishna confirmed to Bloomberg that IBM will pause hiring plans, adding that the company intends to replace roughly 7,800 positions with AI systems over the next five years. In a separate Fox Business interview, Krishna explained that AI will target numerous white-collar jobs. Krishna noted that back-office functions, particularly in the human resources department, will be the first to be absorbed by AI. But accounting, finance, and other non-customer-facing areas might find algorithms and robots filling positions, too.

I’ve got news for investors. They could replace a hell of a lot more and be better off. They could do a twitter and lose 70% still be better off. During the business partner phase of my employment, I marveled at how incompetent they could be and still keep the doors open. They had 14 people for the job that I did at the time as a business partner. As it turned out, that was during the introduction of the PC era, so they were printing money and this excess of waste was overlooked.

Until John Akers, IBM was a job for life company with an army of blue soldiers. Unfortunately, you could also be one of the most useless employees and still have a great job with a high salary. It came crumbling down and Lou Gerstner had to save it or break it up. There was an internal joke called FUMU, fuck up move up. They’d just re-arrange the deck chairs if someone made a mistake and brush it under the rug.

One of the transfers from IBM to that company I was working for told me they had people they called the thinkers. They sat in their office and read the WSJ and drank coffee all day. They didn’t go to meetings or contribute, so he sarcastically said he thought they were paid to think. (The meme was just in time from wirecutter)

The other inside joke was the name of the program for the first layoffs. It was FAP, the financial assistance program. It is also an urban word for masturbating, what a lot of IBM employees did on the clock.

When those same employees had to go get jobs after the first cut and told me it’s hard to get a job in the real world. Most couldn’t.

One of my IBM bosses, maybe one of the best, Jim Neumann explained it to me. He said you went to elementary school, middle, high schools then college. When you graduated, you went to the next school at IBM, but never got out of school.

Who they had working there when I left made me wonder how they were in business.

One of the biases there was that if you were from NY, you were a better employee. The headquarters are there so they would farm the ones they wanted out to jobs around the world and then bring them to NY to run the place. There were offices everywhere, but you were considered a second class worker unless you were in NY. I turned 2 job offers down to move there because it was so awful. The people were backstabbers and the area is one of the worst the worst in the company (or country not counting California). How they thought they were better was a clear signal of something wrong. A lot of them told me they were stuck there with golden handcuffs, but wished they could get out.

One asshole VP from Columbia U used to talk down to those of us at RTP. He did so in a way that would get any employee terminated in the real world. I saw people not help him just to not have to interact with him.

It only got worse under Ginni Rometty. It turned into a mean girls club with the excuse that Ginni said so, as the lead in to what you wanted done. She managed to halve the stock price during her tenure.

No one ever printed it fully, but they were full on in the diversity world and hired a lot of questionable people. The jobs and products reflected it. Some of the worst bosses for females were women. The homosexuals got away with yelling and treating people badly with immunity and the black head of diversity made racist remarks constantly. They have been woke for a long time while hiding it.

So artificial intelligence is going to replace those jobs. They really only need the artificial as a lot of the jobs never had fully intelligent people in it anyway.

My blogger friend Denny, The Grouchy Old Cripple and I used to reminisce with virtually identical stories, though we worked at different time and in different jobs. I’m not alone on this.

The word “woke” has become synonymous with leftism. At its core, “wokeism” is essentially a cult-like religion for the far-left, who think everything that is pro-America or pro-tradition is somehow an attack on specific, marginalized groups. “Woke” people parade throughout the nation as professional victims and make everything about them, and take narcissism to a whole new level. The Media Research Center defines the word “woke” or “wokeism” as people or ideas who are committed to the most extreme left-wing views on issues like race, gender, crime, climate, the economy, and more. Woke people think that burning down buildings is a way of peacefully protesting. Woke people believe that abortion is healthcare and that you can pick any gender you want to be. They think Antifa is a myth and that we should stop using existing, reliable, and abundant domestic sources of energy. In practice, woke people push against common-sense morals and values and promote the perpetual victimhood of groups they’ve deemed “marginalized.” While it’s evident these ideologies are nuts, the media has become obsessed with these woke ideas while vilifying traditional values and normalcy. They silence opposition through censorship or by ignoring and dismissing other people’s opinions as “racist” or “hateful.”

Trying to silence someone for their beliefs is a cross between 1984 and Communism.

Marvel feminized Thor, gave us a hairy man-on-man kiss in the Eternals, desexualized everyone, and introduced new characters who are no fun at all because they are too busy whining about racism, sexism, and getting misgendered.

So cut the woke crap. Look what it is doing for Bud Light, Fox News, Maybelline, Smirnoff and others.

Chuckles III Gets Crowned, The Former Great Britain Takes A Turn For The Worse/Worst

It was either him or his pedophile brother that had to get the crown. It’s a pretty sad choice for a monarchy that once controlled one sixth of the world.

Queen Elizabeth held on as long as she could so that her subjects wouldn’t have to suffer him any longer than they will have to. It’s what happens when you marry in your family.

She and her father were what a monarch should be. They helped bring the country out of a war that could have left England speaking German by now.

It’s also odd that he is supposed to protect the Christian protestant faith when he favors Islam. His global warming hypocrisy of trying to force cutbacks of perfectly good energy sources are a joke. He jet sets around the world and has a fleet of planes, yachts, cars and a carbon footprint larger than some nations.

Even the new Queen Consort, or whatever Camilla really is titled is a trade off. We don’t have to suffer through Di, who was annoying and was only 1 for 2 in her kids. Harry is a blight on the Windsor name like his father. Full of ideas that are not only wrong, but are influenced by facts that are socially amenable, but still false. He let a wife who is bitter and self serving ruin the Windsor name because sparkles didn’t get her way. Of course she claimed racism because it is socially convenient. It’s still a lie. Even Chris Rock said it’s not racist, just in law problems because she is a pouting little child.

So Harry got sent to the cheap seats along with Taco Jill, since senile Joe doesn’t work the weekends. He’s going to wake up one day when sparkles dumps him when he isn’t useful to her anymore and realize he made as big of a mistake as Edward the VIII. He gave away a life of luxury, wealth and free mooching off the subjects of England for a spiteful B actress from Hollywierd (sparkles).

Maybe we should be grateful that they are becoming more irrelevant. He’s about as good as George III, who went crazy from inbreeding also.

Chuck is in charge of 15 commonwealth countries, but if anything of consequence happens, England couldn’t and probably wouldn’t be able to do anything about helping them. They’d bail on him in a second. The Falkland Islands is a one off.

1000 Scientists Declare Vegan’s Getting It Wrong About Their Diet And Is Zealotry

I don’t care (too much) about what other people are doing, even if I think it is strange until they want to force it on others (Bud Light just learned about that). You can never go anywhere without them telling you they are Vegan (or vegetarian). Like an ex of mine who won’t go away, I have to hear about how self righteous they are for eating plants. Once I got told she was a vegan, I knew she was full on crazy.

Nearly 1,000 scientists from around the globe have signed a declaration encouraging the consumption of meat, slamming movements to push plant-based diets as “zealotry.”

Researchers responsible for nine new studies in the Animal Frontiers journal made a joint declaration that red meat consumption is not only safe but necessary for the nutritional health of many populations around the world.

“Livestock-derived foods provide a variety of essential nutrients and other health-promoting compounds, many of which are lacking in diets globally, even among those populations with higher incomes,” according to The Dublin Declaration. “Well-resourced individuals may be able to achieve adequate diets while heavily restricting meat, dairy and eggs. However, this approach should not be recommended for general populations, particularly not those with elevated needs, such as young children and adolescents, pregnant and lactating women, women of reproductive age, older adults, and the chronically ill.”

A November 2022 Harvard study proclaiming the benefits of plant-based diets claimed diets based on “red and processed meat had the highest environmental impact out of all food groups in participants’ diets, producing the greatest share of greenhouse gas emissions and requiring the most irrigation water, cropland, and fertilizer.”

Researchers behind The Dublin Declaration refuted this argument, saying “farmed and herded animals are irreplaceable” in keeping up a “circular flow of materials in agriculture.” Livestock are not only able to convert large amounts of inedible biomass back into the natural cycle, they also do it while simultaneously producing high-quality food fit for consumption, according to the article.

“Livestock is the millennial-long-proven method to create healthy nutrition and secure livelihoods, a wisdom deeply embedded in cultural values everywhere. Sustainable livestock will also provide solutions for the additional challenge of today, to stay within the safe operating zone of planet Earth’s boundaries, the only Earth we have,” The Dublin Declaration concludes.

Animal-based diets, or livestock systems, are “too precious,” the Declaration argues, “to become the victim of simplification, reductionism or zealotry.”

Back to me.

Besides being annoying, let’s see if anyone cares about their diet choices.

Be healthy and eat some meat, and stop ruining other people’s life at the dinner table.

Now, it has gone into the toilet of wokeness and should be the home of the Frankfurt School instead of Columbia. I lived near there and worked with it’s graduates in RTP. Back then, it was busting at the seams trying to hold in how liberal it was. We could hardly stand them and their graduates while they pretended to be normal. They weren’t turning out stellar employees back then.

During that time, it was just about hating conservatism and history. Now, it has gone off the edge of hating the country it resides in and has gone full Marxist.

673 university professors sign letter opposing courses on America’s founding, Constitution

Hundreds of professors at the University of North Carolina signed a public letter Tuesday opposing legislation that would require university students to take courses on America’s government and founding documents.

The 673 UNC Chapel Hill professors revealed the public letter Tuesday, arguing the new courses and another bill in the North Carolina House of Representatives would constitute an infringement on the university’s “academic freedom.”

The first piece of legislation, House Bill 96, would require students to take a 3 credit-hour course covering America’s founding and history. Required reading for the course would include the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Emancipation Proclamation, at least five essays from the Federalist Papers, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Letter from Birmingham Jail and the Gettysburg Address.

The professors argue the legislation “violates core principles of academic freedom” and “substitutes ideological force-feeding for the intellectual expertise of faculty.”

The second bill, H.B. 715, would eliminate tenure at UNC and its affiliated campuses, establish minimum class sizes and require colleges to report “all non-instructional research performed by higher education personnel at the institution.”

The 673 professors decry both bills as an attack on “expertise,” arguing the American government courses constitute little more than indoctrination. (imagine that, the history that made it great to be there now sucks because it’s not in their group think)

Pride week comes early at UNC Chapel Hill

Pride came early at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill, which launched events on Apr. 10 to celebrate the LGBTQ community.

UNC’s Pride Week, which commemorated the twentieth anniversary of the university’s LGBTQ Center, happened in April because the semester ends before Pride Month in June, according to the student newspaper, The Daily Tar Heel.

The Carolina Student Union Art Gallery hosted the first of five events by featuring an LGBTQ exhibit throughout the week.

Another event included student volunteers and LGBTQ Center staff stationing themselves in “The Pit”–a central, iconic location on campus–for Pride in the Pit. The Daily Tar Heel reported that activities included “a trivia game for visitors to test their knowledge about LGBTQ+ topics” and “button-making.”

Students were invited to participate in a “Rainbow Walk” on Apr. 13, with Pride Week culminating in “The Story of Us: Oral Histories of LGBTQIA+ Alum.” During this performance, a cast of mostly alumni actors read accounts of LGBTQ student experiences at UNC “from the 1950s through the 2010s,” Indy Week reported.

The description of Pride Week also says that alumni led tours with “previews of LGBTQIA+ spaces on campus,” and they “provide[d] insight into some resources available for queer students at Carolina.”

In July 2022, UNC hosted Queerolina, “an online history exhibition” launched by the Carolina Pride Alum Network (CPAN) as part of “The Story of Us.”

Now the bad news, where at the University of North Carolina, some 673 professors signed a public letter last Tuesday protesting new legislation that would require university students within the Tar Heel State to learn about America’s founding documents — you know, the Declaration, the Constitution, the Gettysburg Address, stuff like that.

Even the writings of Martin Luther King Jr. fall into this category of foundational documents. And yet these faculty members are against it, calling it “indoctrination” and citing its encroachment on the principle of — you guessed it — academic freedom.

I hated being anywhere near that place. You used to be able to put up with it while the basketball team was competitive, but they didn’t even get to the tournament recently. The Bud Light FAFO Moment The World Has Been Waiting For – She’s Gone

Yep, she’s gone. It says leave of absence, but when you cost your company at least 5 billion and counting, along with a century old reputation, your ass is history.

She’s going down as the girl who did the worst marketing campaign in history (Gillette may argue this one) all in the name of woke and inclusivity. A college freshman would identify this as the textbook example of f**king up to the extreme.

The controversial marketing exec behind Bud Light’s partnership with Dylan Mulvaney has taken a leave of absence as the boycott against the beer brand rages on.

Ad Age reports that “Alissa Heinerscheid, marketing VP for the brand since June 2022, has taken a leave of absence, the brewer confirmed, and will be replaced by Todd Allen, who was most recently global marketing VP for Budweiser.”

In an interview on the Make Yourself At Home podcast from March 23rd, Heinerscheid revealed that the brand was in decline and they needed to “attract young drinkers… then there will be no Bud Light,” which led to the controversial partnership with trans TikToker Dylan Mulvaney.

(Un)Happy Earth Day 2023

We know it was created by a murderer who chopped up his girlfriend and is on Lenin’s birthday. The connection to communism is more than that coincidence.

It’s also not based on science, rather it is a religion for those worshipers (the uneducated).

They consistently fail to follow actual science and this year is no different. I’ve ranted about it as I find it so unbelievable that those who celebrate it want to show how wrong they are. Instead, I’ll link and put excerpts to the recent story about how wrong they got it on methane this time. I had to work with this crowd of ignorance when I got forced into supporting the fake green initiative. Even then I couldn’t believe how wrong they were, until I found out they did it for the money.

Here goes.

Remember all that talk about methane being the scariest greenhouse gas? The claims are behind the war on meat, rice, farts, gas stoves, fracking, and just about everything else in the known universe that improves human life.

Well, except farts. They really don’t improve human life that much, unless you have gas pains. Man, it sucks when you have gas pains.

The science behind the claims that methane is a powerful greenhouse gas is pretty straightforward, if you look at only part of the science. Methane indeed traps more heat inside the atmosphere than CO2, by a wide margin. It disperses much more quickly, with a short life in the atmosphere, but if you only consider the warming impact it indeed is quite powerful.

That’s the reasoning behind the war on gas. But…

When Climate Science Unsettles – Abe Greenwald, Commentary Magazine

Yeah, well, there is a huge problem with that claim. While technically true in some abstract sense, it is much less true when you look at all the effects methane in the atmosphere has on global temperatures. In other words, it is the sort of claim that relies upon your ignorance of the multiple effects of methane gas in the atmosphere–some of which are known widely, and many of which even climate “scientists” didn’t know when they made their wild claims about doom from leaking natural gas.

New research shows that methane is still a powerful greenhouse gas, but nothing like what is claimed regularly.

This is the sort of thing that happens all the time in climate research, where variables are viewed and modeled in isolation based upon a limited set of data, and then the “scientists” extrapolate the heck out of the limited data and come up with models that are, frankly, ridiculous.

Then they pick the most extreme outcomes from models with the worst outcomes, and call it “settled science.” It is exactly the sort of thing you see in nutrition research, for example. Creating simplistic models from limited data interpreting complex and highly interdependent systems as if they mirror the falling of a bowling ball and a feather in a vacuum.

And the results, as you can see in the real world, are quite different. Bowling balls and feathers fall at the same rate in a vacuum, but once you introduce the atmosphere a feather can “fall upwards” on a breeze while the bowling ball crashes down as predicted.

The research in question here reveals the complexity of reality: methane may trap heat, but it also prevents energy from reaching the earth. To some extent, the two effects cancel each other out.

Methane is a greenhouse gas with dual personalities. It heats Earth’s atmosphere 28 times as potently as carbon dioxide, gram for gram. But its absorption of the sun’s radiation high in the atmosphere also alters cloud patterns — casting a bit of shadow on its warming effect.

So rather than adding even more thermal energy to the atmosphere, as previously thought, methane’s solar absorption sets off a cascade of events that reduces its overall warming effect by about 30 percent, researchers report March 16 in Nature Geoscience.

Oops. Kinda missed that one. Oh well.

Also, you may note that key point: gram for gram. There are a lot more grams of CO2 than methane out there. Altogether the findings change the equations quite a bit, and those equations are still very simplified versions of the real world. Simplified versions that in all likelihood don’t reflect reality.

The result is “counterintuitive,” says climate scientist Robert Allen of the University of California, Riverside. It happens because of the way that methane’s shortwave absorbance affects clouds in different layers of the atmosphere, Allen and colleagues’ simulations suggest.

When methane absorbs shortwave radiation in the middle and upper troposphere, above about three kilometers, it further warms the air — leading to fewer clouds in that upper layer. And because methane absorbs shortwave radiation high up, less of that radiation penetrates down to the lower troposphere. This actually cools the lower troposphere, leading to more clouds in that layer.

These thicker low-level clouds reflect more of the sun’s shortwave radiation back out to space — meaning that less of this solar radiation reaches Earth’s surface, to be converted into longwave radiation.

One of the biggest problems with climate science, as it stands, is that it cannot explain the natural variations in the Earth’s temperatures, which have swung wildly more than anything predicted from human activity. Clearly, those natural variations need to be understood first before adding in anything that human beings do.

Not that human beings are doing nothing. We are. The scale may not be understood, but the fact itself is pretty easy to understand. We are changing the atmosphere and the reflectivity of the Earth, changing the biome, and such changes will have some effect on the climate. But any claims that we have a clear idea of what those changes will be exactly are pure bunkum. We don’t. We don’t know the scale, and we don’t know the what.

What we do know is that massive changes to the economy will have drastic impacts on human well-being, just as the vast industrialization has improved lives and extended lifespans dramatically. Tens of years have been added to lifespans, food security has been established for almost everybody, and the prospects for further improvements without industrialization of the third world drop dramatically.

And, of course, we know that every single prediction of the apocalypse has been laughably wrong.

If There Was A Real Climate And Energy Crisis, This Is The Answer, Not Banning Carbon

If you have a real solution for endless energy, the money train stops for the climate grifters like John Kerry, Leo Decapitated and Al Gore. It is the whipping boy for everything Biden does despite every prediction of climate disaster being wrong.

There are two easy answers that no one wants to use. The second is the real answer in the title of this post

First, nuclear power. It’s clean, safe and as affordable as the waste of money that has occurred chasing carbon as a bogeyman. It has it’s detractors, but if the climatards were serious it would be the main source of their energy. They just want to penalize the USA and some western countries and it’s petroleum production to line their wallets. They don’t mind using other countries gas. That puts our country at a disadvantage for cost of goods produced and sold. It’s on purpose. We already saw our economic freedom between 2016 and 2020 with fracking.

Here is a recent example of one western country cutting it’s own throat, but proves that it is a cheaper solution for energy.

The wrong people are leading the the self created energy crisis and climate scam.

The real answer is fusion energy. It is self perpetuating and an endless source. Of course that would mean the end of the climate gravy train and control of the narrative that we are being assaulted with.

Here goes:

On Dec. 5, for a fraction of a second, a man-made star was created at the National Ignition Facility (NIF) of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) in California. The occasion was an experiment in nuclear fusion that succeeded in doing something no fusion experiment had done before: It emitted more energy than it consumed.

The experiment amounted to a big step forward in basic science. If the technology used at NIF is developed to its full potential, it could provide a virtually endless source of energy that would be clean and inexpensive. You’d think that nuclear fusion technology would be pushed forward by billions of dollars in research and development, but you’d be wrong, because it doesn’t fit into the “climate change” industry’s mantra that any nuclear power generation has to be bad.

Nuclear fusion is what happens on and in the sun. At temperatures up to 27 million degrees Fahrenheit, the sun fuses types of hydrogen — tritium and deuterium — under enormous pressure in such a way as to produce enough heat and light to warm and illuminate our planet, which is about 93 million miles away.

One of the benefits of fusion technology is that it produces virtually no nuclear waste like a nuclear fission plant does. Moreover, the “half-life” of the “activated” materials is far shorter than those of the conventional nuclear power plant, which produces “hot” waste such as fuel rods that are radioactive for hundreds of years.

Oh, it has it’s problems, but we went from the Wright brothers to the moon in 66 years. If we were serious about the problem of replacing petroleum, then it would get solved.

For example:

First, the “target” mass of tritium and deuterium is destroyed by the fusion that takes place within it. To render the technology feasible, you have to create targets about 10 times per second, not over a period of months as they are now.

Second, fusion emits neutrons that, at this stage, have to be converted into heat and steam to power a turbine engine that will produce electricity. Along the path of research, scientists may discover how to convert neutrons into electricity more simply and directly.

Both of these problems have to be solved — as well as the “unk-unks” that are encountered — before fusion can be made into a usable technology. And that’s where the government has to come in.

But if the Government was actually interested in the energy/climate issue other than an ATM…..

Industry can only spend money on research that is paid for either by the government or by rapid transformation into profitable products. The government’s proper role is to fund research into technologies that can later be made into profitable products. It did so many times, from the development of stealth aircraft to former President Donald Trump’s “Operation Warp Speed,” which developed the COVID vaccines in months rather than the decade or more it would normally have taken.

Fusion research will continue, but at a far slower pace than it could were it better funded. The outlook is good, but fusion won’t, at the current rate, produce practical — i.e., usable — fusion technology for at least a decade or two.

What is needed is a major research effort, such as the Manhattan Project, which produced nuclear weapons in the 1940s. But that won’t happen while President Joe Biden and his “climate change” minions govern us. Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro said on March 1: “As the Secretary of the Navy, I can tell you that I have made climate one of my top priorities since the first day I came into office.” Climate change is his priority rather than rebuilding our Navy, which has far fewer ships than the Chinese navy.

As always, it comes down to money. The climate change clowns are investing in reducing carbon emissions — eliminating fuels such as coal, natural gas, and petroleum — and converting us to weather-dependent sources of energy such as wind and solar power. They won’t even consider building more nuclear power plants regardless of how safe they are. (One of my friends used to command a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. He often reminds me that our nuclear-powered Navy ships have had zero accidents.)

Our government wastes billions on too many idiotic ideas. They are far too many to rehearse here. If we have a new president in 2025, Biden’s priorities can be tossed aside, and those billions can be spent in productive research and development of fusion and other technologies that could make us more secure and energy independent again.

Lastly, we aren’t going to run out of petroleum reserves, and it is the cheapest and easiest source of energy. Hating it is the cheapest and easiest source of increasing bank accounts and control of the masses by tyrants.

A Big Reason Why You Are Paying More Taxes This Year,

This isn’t necessary, at least to do it to us this way.

Illegal immigration is costing taxpayers $151 billion every year — a 30% increase since 2017.

“The Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on United States Taxpayers 2023,” a report by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), concludes that taxpayers spend $182 billion annually on illegal immigrants. That number is partially offset by illegal aliens paying $31 billion in taxes. FAIR estimates that tax revenue is collected from 15.5 million illegal aliens — far more than the government’s 11.3 million estimated illegal alien numbers, which are based on population surveys.

The cost to taxpayers supporting 11-15 million people who refused to go through the legal process of crossing the border and applying for a green card that would allow them to work in the U.S. isn’t really the point. It’s the loss of sovereignty. Every other nation on earth is allowed to determine who gets in and who stays out. Why America has to be different in this regard is a mystery.

“As America struggles to meet countless societal needs while facing the realities of our staggering $31 trillion national debt, the costs of providing for millions of people who have no legal right to be in the United States continues to grow at an alarming rate,” FAIR President Dan Stein said in a statement.

Adding $151 billion to a $31 trillion national debt is immaterial. It’s the drain on resources — criminal justice, healthcare, and education — that matters. This is especially true since the costs of illegal immigration varies from state to state.
