What is your favorite season of year? Why?
Look, I grew up in Central Florida without air conditioning. It was summer 51 of the 52 weeks of the year.
One of the best things in life for me was getting out of that state. It may have a great political climate, growth, no state taxes and other positives, but dreading to go outside because it’s so hot isn’t worth it.
Any of the other three seasons is great for me.

I spent 12 weeks in boot camp in orlando in 1970. I agree, it is not good weather.

Those bright fall days are my favorite. Grew up in South Texas and summer is awful. Live in North Texas now and in the spring the wind is insane. That Texas wind is what drove some of the settlers crazy. You would think that as hot as it gets here that winters would be mild but we see temps as low as zero deg F sometimes and we get at least one snow or sleet event every year. The fact that the outdoor temps go through a more than 100 deg temp swing in a year wreaks havoc with gardening and landscaping. Fall is what makes it all worthwhile.

Think I’ll hafta go with pizza season, ‘specially with Pepsi over cracked ice.
Cinnabon season is nice, too, with some angry coffee so strong it resists being poured into a cup.
‘Course a lot can be said for homemade-brownies-with-chopped-black-walnuts season, too.
And then there’s always no-screaming-brats season . . . hard to not enjoy that.
Oh, mustn’t forget — for the past few weeks I’ve been thoroughly enjoying one-episode-per-day of Downton Abbey season from a box set of discs. LOVE those rounded vowels, deliciously phrased put-downs, vague literary references, and sneaky double entendres completely devoid of F-bombs and gutter slanguage.
