What do you wish you could do more every day?

Remember, all of the stuff that has happened in my life so that I can enjoy it or not make that mistake again.

  1. Golf. Wanna play golf. Had a 7 handicap at Navy/Marine in Pearl before I retired.

Can’t play tho . . . arthritic starboard hip and thumb. Also have chronic shoulder impingment which makes moving my arms higher than my chin very painful.

Wish I could, but Mom Nature won’t let me . . . so there it is.

Consider a lengthy string of profanities, obscenities, and a few blasphemies . . . use your imagination and knowledge of good ol’ Anglo-Saxon bodily function expressions ending in er and ing. French, too, if you like and maybe a chingado and some putanginas for flavor. Fanculo is always good for the nonce.

  2. I’ve been on a soapbox since I was in my 40s that one should enjoy life’s journey while you can. It’s not just that you don’t know when you’ll kick the bucket, but like bocopro points out, Mother Nature might cut your ability to enjoy your favorite activities short.

After my grandson was killed, I had to spend more time with the grandkids. The ex threw a fit at the idea, and, we’ll, that’s why she’s the ex. I moved 2000 miles and get to see the grandkids 3 or 4 times a week. Best decision I ever made. (Frankly it says a lot about a woman when she only wants to see her grandkids once every 5 to 7 years, but I digress.)

Live life while you can. Some day you may wake up and realize the best you can do is endure it.
