1. Dead religion measure for measure for a dead God. By their fruits you shall know them. Where was Christ during the Shoah Holocaust where Xtians slaughtered 75% of Western European Jewry?

   1. This is going to be a tough conversation because we have different beliefs on who Christ is, so I don’t want to debate that. It will get us nowhere, and neither would change the beliefs of the other. Let’s put that aside and deal with your question.

      This conversation for me happened at work often when I worked with my Orthodox Jewish friends. Your Torah discussions are nearly identical to theirs, and I always found it good to talk about. I give you the nod for a deeper knowledge.

      I’m curious if you believe all who say they are Jewish really are. I think of George Soros on this one. Here’s why:

      Most people who call themselves Christians aren’t and have no idea what the belief really means (I have to use Christians here to reference your question). Just because they attend a church doesn’t mean they even believe in anything. Some are there for business connections or to attend socially.

      Those people who murdered the Jews were not, by definition, Christians. (implied that they were believers in Christ). They just weren’t Jews or Muslims, so it’s a catch-all category most of the time. Actually, since Hitler got a lot of his hate for Jews from the Grand Mufti at the time, the Germans were led by one who had beliefs closer to Allah than YHWH. They were evil people who did an evil thing. I have a special affinity for the Jews, so I’m glad their evil was defeated then, yet antisemitism is rampant in Hollywood, Academia and the Governments. I resent that deeply.

      I also think it’s a little presumptuous to blame it on Christ.

      It begs the question, why does G-d let bad things happen to good people (I’m leaving it at just G-d as that is usually the question, I understand where you stand on Christ)? Usually, it’s because he is showing us our weaknesses and that without obeying him, we are capable of such atrocities (and other things, but I’ll stick to the issue). There are times when he uses Non-Jews to accomplish his will. Why was there a famine that caused the Jews to suffer under Pharaoh? We wouldn’t have Moses (At least the way it happened, without the famine). G-d has a plan for us all, but he’s not obligated to tell us the specifics. The distance from their slavery to Israel does not take 40 years, as you well know, but it was G-d’s will. That way, only Joshua and Caleb were left. They were the obedient ones.

      It goes to show you that all people are sinners and no one, regardless of their proclaimed beliefs, can keep the law, no matter how hard we try. (I remember what you said on this, but this is my belief)

      Let’s also not forget that David and Sampson also did some mighty damage in the killing department. God told the Jews to kill everyone in the land of Canaan, which he promised Avraham when they returned from Egypt? Weren’t some of them sons of Esau? It was his will and (for the most part) it was carried out by the faithful. Why did he let Nebuchadnezzar destroy Jerusalem? Ultimately, to bring his people back to him (I know I skipped a lot of detail there, but you know it better than I anyway. I know it also, so no need to go there).

      So what you point out is true. A lot of wars seem to have been in Europe, where the majority don’t believe in anything. If you dissect their (lack of) beliefs, they aren’t anything but an abomination to G-d. FWIW, I’m sure you’ve read that I’m married to a European, so I’ve observed this in person. That didn’t just start. It’s happened for centuries. For example, while Catholics claim Christianity, very few really are Christian. That was the dominant religion of those people. If they had any belief in G-d, and obeyed, they wouldn’t have been so easily deceived. I believe G-d used non-Jews to defeat them and 500K died for that belief. There, you might find Christ.

      Finally, since it’s October 7th, I’m a little bent out of shape at what the Palestinians did to the Jews 2 years ago. I hope you are also.

      1. John Torah faith not a matter of belief like the Xtian & Islamic avoda zarah belief systems. Personally consider myself an Atheist – Praise God. Europe converted to Xtianity some 2000 years ago. Actions have consequences. Xtianity has permanently destroyed its good name reputation in Europe. No Xtian court ever forced the Church abomination to stand before the Bar and answer for their many many war crimes leading up to the Shoah. The Torah teaches a simple theme, pursue righteous judicial justice – something that no Xtian court has ever done in 2000 plus years — no different from Paro withholding straw and his court beating Hebrew slaves over their failure to produce their quota brick production. Torah abhors the Pauline theme of Original Sin/sinners preached by the utter abomination of the Xtian religion in all its many criminal faces. The Torah depicts the conflict within the heart of Man as the struggle between the Yatzir HaTov vs. the Yatzir HaRaw. Based upon the opening word of The Torah בראשית. The Xtian abomination with its sophomoric bible translations translates this opening Hebrew word merely as (In the Beginning) – a brain dead stupid translation! The word בראשית contains words within words known as a רמז. Its takes only a superficial examination of the Torah original to grasp – ראש בית ברית אש and ב’ ראשית. Now its the latter permutation of בראשית which relates to the Torah concept of conflict between the two opposing Yatzirot, like Yaacov and Esau struggling within the womb of Rivka, so too the Human heart contains tohor vs. tumah Yatzirot. Your church abomination never in 2000 plus years addressed this most basic of fundamentals. But your dead god JeZeus did say – something to the effect that if the foundation cracked the whole building must come down Matthew 7:24-27, Luke 6:46-49.. The specific of king Davids failure to pursue justice in the matter of the killed husband of Bat Sheva Natan the Prophet placed a Torah curse of Civil War upon his House for eternity. King Shlomo perverted the Torah commandment to pursue judicial Sanhedrin common law courtroom justice as the definition of building the Temple. Recall that the prophet Natan forbade David to copy the ways of the Goyim religious abominations which worship their Gods by building exotic Cathedrals and Temples! King Shlomo in building his Temple Avoda Zarah worshipped other Gods. Luther and Calvin preached Jew hatred and set the example for the later Nazi Xtian monsters. For some 2000 years Catholic and Protestant Europe proclaimed Europe as a Xtian civilization. By their fruits you shall know them. Have family members killed fighting in this Oct7th Abomination War which the UN and EU condemn Israel for genocide. Another example of the Xtian blood libel bull shit addiction to their evil inclination/Yatzir Haraw.

      2. Well, I can’t say I agree with everything you say, but I’m glad you spoke out. I see things differently than a lot of people do, so I’m not surprised, but that is usually on me. You’ll find that in my introvert posts. I get called a lot of things by readers.

         I appreciate your candor. For the record, there are a few of us who do good things, so not all Christians (not ones in name only) are bad guys. There certainly have been a lot who did things in the name of religion (not in the name of G-d). I consider them pagans anyway.

         I kind of wondered about your relationship with YHWH, but you were quite clear about that. Now, I don’t have to ask.

         Our dialogues are far deeper than ones I have with other readers, so I hope they continue.
