The Significance of Veteran’s Day

At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, the Armistice (truce) was signed by the Allies and Germany, thus halting the slaughter of the “Great War” or World War I. The official end of the war was declared at the Treaty of Versailles in June 1919. World War I demolished parts of Europe and inflicted massive casualties, yet some predicted that it would be the war to end all wars.

Lingering grievances from this war would partially fuel a more devastating World War II, but for now, peace was at hand. Participating nations began to pick up the pieces and honor those who had fought to strengthen liberty and stability.

Armistice Day (Remembrance Day to some U.S. allies) became an official holiday in 1938 through an act of Congress, which President Franklin Roosevelt endorsed. Following World War II and the Korean War, veterans fought to enlarge the significance of Armistice Day to include all veterans who had made sacrifices while serving their country.

President Dwight Eisenhower and Congress authorized changing Armistice Day to Veterans Day on Nov. 11, 1954, to honor veterans of all the conflicts the United States had entered. Consequently, Veterans Day is more encompassing than Memorial Day, which primarily honors our fallen warriors.

“On that day let us solemnly remember the sacrifices of those who fought so valiantly, on the seas, in the air, and on foreign shores to preserve our heritage of freedom and let us reconsecrate ourselves to the task of protecting an enduring peace so that their efforts shall not have been in vain,” Eisenhower said.

During the Revolutionary War against England, principled colonists signed on to the noble mission of independence and their God-given right to human freedom. From 1861 to 1865, Confederate and Union soldiers fought furiously in an epic Civil War. A Union victory forged greater equality for emancipated slaves and helped in the restoration of a fractured nation.

Countless soldiers fought under brutal conditions in World War I and lost their lives in the trenches of Flanders Fields. In World War II, millions of allies engaged the Axis Powers (Germany, Italy, Japan) across North Africa, Europe, and the Pacific Ocean, and finally prevailed against their atrocities. During Korea’s “forgotten war,” allied forces battled the communists in the bitter cold at historic landmarks such as Chosin Reservoir and Heartbreak Ridge.

Regardless of our convictions regarding the Vietnam War, our troops struggled to keep South Vietnam free from totalitarian rule. Moreover, we ought to honor the valor of Brig. Gen. Bud Day, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), Vice Adm. James Stockdale, and other prisoners of war who endured years of torture in the hellish Hoa Lo Prison, known as Hanoi Hilton, yet emerged with their honor intact.

Our military forces also fought the al-Qaeda terrorist group, the ISIS terrorist group, and the Taliban for several years in Afghanistan and Iraq. Currently, some of our air crews, sailors, and soldiers are stationed in the Middle East to help deter a wider conflagration initiated by Iran’s proxies.

Today, Veterans Day is a special day to commemorate all living and deceased veterans who heeded the call of duty and honorably served this great nation. This includes veterans missing in action, our wounded warriors, prisoners of war, and millions of living veterans who have served during peacetime or military conflicts.

“Elections, like presidents, come and go,“ President Ronald Reagan said on Veterans Day 1985. ”And always, our nation remains—due primarily to the courage and sacrifice of America’s veterans who exemplify and defend the ideals that the United States stands for.”

When recruits enter any branch of the armed forces, they are aware that future missions could thrust them into harm’s way. Yet they are willing to fight and die for the cause of human liberty. Who are these men and women? They are motivated yet ordinary individuals who, along with their families, make great sacrifices and endure extraordinary challenges. What higher commitment is there than to place one’s life on the line for humanity?

Our veterans are stationed around the globe providing disaster relief, battling terrorism, deterring aggressors, reassuring our allies, and striving to improve security in volatile regions. On this day and every day, let us be thankful for their service and pray for their safety and return home.

We should also pray that the armed forces’ mental, meritocratic, and physical standards are restored at the Pentagon to boost military capabilities and readiness. Moreover, service personnel should get the platforms and training necessary for mission success. Those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and our wounded warriors should receive the best help possible.

Our veterans understand that freedom is an ideal worth defending because there will always be tyrants who strive to subvert liberty, progress, and global security. By honoring our veterans, we demonstrate gratitude for their devotion to human dignity and freedom. Through their selfless service, we might better understand responsible liberty and be inspired to live with a higher purpose to build a more perfect union.

It’s pronounced Core, not Corpse, like America-hater Obama said in a speech.

Did We Just Win the Vietnam War?

I was all set to be drafted when the war ended. The win streak for the US was over because of the media.

The Tet Offensive had just happened, and the insiders on the ground knew it was successful. We could have marched into Hanoi and won the war very shortly afterward, but the liberal media interfered.

Walter Cronkite reported that it was a failure, causing LBJ not to run for re-election. He said that if I’ve lost Cronkite, I’ve lost America. He didn’t know that Walter lied, and we could have been months away from stopping communism and saving millions of lives. After America pulled out, those we were protecting were murdered. It is the same story every time Communism takes over.

When my friends came home, they were treated horribly by the anti-war crowd who believed the same lies that LBJ did. I didn’t get drafted and moved on in life.

UNTIL NOW – We may have turned that Loss into a Win

Half a century after America’s withdrawal, Vietnam has quietly vindicated U.S. sacrifice—abandoning Marxism for nationalism and embracing the very ideals America once defended.

Over 50 years since America’s withdrawal from the Vietnam War, history has legitimized and vindicated its sacrifice in the Vietnam War.

While few Americans have noticed, Vietnam’s new General Secretary of the Communist Party, To Lam, has replaced Marxist-Leninism as the Party’s governing ideology with something more authentically Vietnamese: Truong Ton Dan Toc, or “Vietnamese nationalism.”

That is a bombshell. Hanoi has just abandoned its Communist ideology, which governed it since 1954 and sustained it in its wars against the United States and its ally South Vietnam, and with its Communist neighbors, Cambodia and the People’s Republic of China (PRC).

Marxist-Leninism came to the Vietnamese from France. Thus, Communist Vietnam was actually a neocolonial state, its ideology imported from Europe to rule the Vietnamese, first in the North and, after 1975, the entire country. Now freed from the yoke of Communism, the Vietnamese have returned to the nationalism that was theirs all along.

In his speech on April 27, 2025, To Lam presented his party as one dedicated to Vietnamese nationalism, not Marxist-Leninism, saying that honor will always be given to those who sacrificed for the Vietnamese people’s “happiness and prosperity” and “their truong ton and development.” He added that, today, all Vietnamese—no matter where they live—have the same ancestral mother, Au Co, and are equally “children of dragons and grandchildren of angels,” and affirmed that all Vietnamese—no matter where they live—should contribute to the future of “their” people, not to the imposition of an ideology.

To Lam called for a new Vietnam, for a new era in Vietnamese history, one possessing “peace, wealth, civilized education, development, and pure Vietnameseness.”

A few days later, on May 4, 2025, the Politburo of the Vietnamese Communist Party adopted Resolution 68, putting private enterprise at the center of economic development. The resolution gave responsibility for national wealth creation to self-management, self-effort, and self-empowerment. The rights of private property will be guaranteed and protected. The Vietnamese state will henceforth “serve and support” private enterprise and not contradict the “principles of the market.”

Finally, on October 6, 2025, in remarks opening the 14th session of the Central Committee, General Secretary To Lam made no mention of Marxist-Leninism and only one passing reference to “markets oriented towards socialism.” Rather, again, he emphasized “strategic self-mastery, self-effort, and self-empowerment” as the Party’s chosen path to a prosperous Vietnam.

In his remarks closing the session, To Lam doubled down on his new vision for a non-Communist, truly Vietnamese Vietnam. Democracy must be guaranteed with discipline and transparency, with elections as broad-based politics to earn the trust of the people. Private enterprise must be pushed forward for national development. The benefit of the people must become the objective of the government’s new economic policy. Finally, dogma, meaning turgid Communist dogma, must be eliminated.

In short, To Lam’s vision for Vietnam has no substantial difference from that vision of our South Vietnamese allies half a century ago.

More importantly for Americans today, Lam’s vision is not dissimilar from the moral orientation of American policy towards South Vietnam. It was not by coincidence that in October 1954, President Eisenhower identified just such Vietnamese nationalism as providing principled justification for his decision to defend South Vietnam against Communist aggression. Eisenhower wrote to South Vietnam’s then-prime minister that the Saigon government “would, I hope, be so responsive to the nationalist aspirations of its people, so enlightened in purpose and effective in performance, that it will be respected both at home and abroad and discourage any who might wish to impose a foreign ideology on your free people.”

Thus, the Communists in Hanoi today have adopted the values that the Americans defended, the ancestral values of the Vietnamese people.

In the end, Vietnamese nationalism won the war against Communism. Hanoi’s war against South Vietnam, which took the lives of over 1.5 million Vietnamese, was never necessary but was driven by the hyper-aggressive ideology of Communism. Despite the long ideological chokehold Communism held over the Vietnamese, it was a far weaker force than Vietnamese nationalism.

Beyond Vietnam, there are two important implications of Vietnam’s evolution.

First, Vietnam’s path may serve as a model for the PRC. Perhaps one day soon, China may undergo a similar path, shedding the evils of a Communist government for one reflective of the wishes and the political culture and history of the Chinese people.

Second, we Americans can now hold our heads high about the Vietnam War: we were on the right side of history after all. We knew who was right and who was wrong from the start. The American experience in Vietnam was completely in accord with the broader American experience in history: we are a very good people, brave, loyal, and selfless. While the Vietnam War contains countless tragedies, perhaps none was greater for Americans than the mistaken belief that it was a senseless war or one fought in opposition to Vietnamese nationalism. It was fought for the Vietnamese people against an evil ideology, and ultimately, victory was won.

Source

Those who like to trash America will. The Vietnam Vets didn’t get any respect for their sacrifice. Not that this makes it worth it, but it’s good to know they were vindicated.

Those in NYC should take note that once again, Communism failed. They are zero for life every time they’ve tried. It transfers wealth and power to the dictators and death to the people.

 • The Fall of England: not with a bang, but a whimper

1968, Both The Summer Of Love And The Summer Of Hate And Violence

It was a turning point for our nation. Viet Nam, Kent State and a range of college activities took place. A lot of college took place in the jungles of Saigon. It could be the year that was the beginning of the end of America as that is when it was torn apart the worst since the Civil War.

The love part? It was mostly a bunch of hippies opposing war and boning each other. Those are your grandparents now. It usually involved a lot of drugs. Between the war and drugs, there were a lot of messed up people.

I lived through that time. I liked looking at naked girls at concerts as well as dreading being drafted. Fortunately for me, the war ended and they wouldn’t even take me as an enlistment.

Politics is a dirty business. It always has been. But today, politics is sometimes too often synonymous with violence.

While there were many catalysts that resulted in violence being seen as a “legitimate” form of political discourse, one stands out: Columbia University, 1968. That year, a combination of black and anti-war activists took over a building on the campus of New York’s premier university. They demanded that Columbia cancel a proposed nearby gymnasium that was claimed to be racist and end its relationship with a Department of Defense-affiliated think tank.

The NYPD eventually ejected the activists after a series of violent clashes. In a sane world, every one of those students would have been expelled, barred from campus, and sued for damages. But that’s not what happened.

Image created using AI.

No, the administration acquiesced to virtually every demand, and there were very few consequences. Suddenly, on TVs across America, activists were learning the lesson that violent takeovers can yield good results with minimal consequences, if any, even at one of the nation’s leading universities. The message having been received, it was suddenly gloves off for activists across the country. Yale, Howard, Brown, and others followed. The next year saw more of the same at Harvard and U Penn, too.

These students, these radicals, including terrorists, did not reflect most American people’s opinion. In that year’s election, the Democrat candidate, who was far more acceptable to the American people than the left’s activist wing, could still secure only 13 states and 42% of the popular vote. Four years later, Nixon would be reelected by a 49 to 1 Electoral College landslide. Not only that, but between 1968 and 1988, Democrats would win only one out of 6 elections and would lose 49 states twice.

In 1968 and many years after, the radicals in the Democrat party wouldn’t reflect majority opinion, but the die was cast. The lesson was learned: Violence wins. And so it grew.

The radical SDS (Students for a Democratic Society) launched violent protests against their closest mainstream ally, the Democrats, during the 1968 DNC convention in Chicago. The next year, terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn would launch the Weather Underground, which would bomb the US Capitol two years later. The pace accelerated: “During an eighteen-month period in 1971 and 1972, the FBI reported more than 2,500 bombings on U.S. soil, nearly 5 a day.” That violence wasn’t coming from conservatives.

Over time, those Baby Boomers, the spoiled spawn of the Greatest Generation, would basically turn against and undermine everything their parents fought for. They would go on to become teachers and professors and writers and journalists, taking the lessons and the perspectives from 1968 with them. Nothing exemplifies this more than the fact that Communist Howard Zinn’s treacherous A People’s History of the United States became the textbook of choice for tens of thousands of teachers across the country.

It would take a while, but by the early 1990s, the radicals from ’68 were firmly in control of almost every educational and cultural institution in America. From schools and universities to NGOs and newsrooms, the radicals were in a position to brainwash America’s youth with their leftist poison. And they did.

America began to see the full fruit of the radicals’ poison during the Bush years, when he was regularly called a Nazi and compared to Hitler. In 2008, the radicals finally came into their own with the election of their fellow traveler, Barack Obama. Indeed, Obama launched his political career in the home of terrorists Ayers and Dohrn.

Under Obama, the racial divide would grow, the gay lobby would begin its evolution into the trans nightmare we have today, and the violent rhetoric against anyone who opposed the left would intensify. Obama would use the government apparatus, which was now fully stocked by acolytes of those 1960s radicals, to target conservatives. Simultaneously, the justice apparatus across the country—by design, typically one of the least radical elements of the government structure—from District Attorneys to parole boards to judges and justices, embraced the leftist victimization mentality where virtually no transgression, including violence, should be punished, unless the perpetrator is from an unapproved group.

What’s more, the universities had become indoctrination centers producing millions of illiberal and sometimes violent graduates taking to the streets in support of every leftist cause. They were found in Antifa, in BLM, in trans groups, in pro-illegal immigrant groups, and antisemitic groups from both the Islamic and progressive perspectives.

All of this culminated during the era of Donald Trump. His first term was bookended by violence. In January 2017, Washington went up in flames upon his inauguration, and in the summer of 2020, cities and towns around the country were engulfed in flames and violence as the death of George Floyd sparked the left’s decades-long propaganda kindling of white supremacy and institutional racism. Then, during the Biden administration, violent antisemitic protests were allowed to blossom on campuses across the country.

Which brings us to today. Charlie Kirk’s assassination has sparked discussions about the absurd notion of murder being a legitimate form of political interaction. Where America once was a place where ideas were debated and using violence to achieve political ends was fringe at best, today we have something different.

In a recent survey questioning the legitimacy of assassinating Donald Trump for political reasons, fully 55% of left-leaning respondents suggested that it was “somewhat justified.” The same survey showed similar support for killing Elon Musk, burning down Tesla dealerships, and worshipping Luigi Mangione.

These are the people who proffer the age-old hypothetical “Would you go back in time and kill Hitler as a baby to save 20 million lives” before calling Trump or his supporters Nazis and nodding at you knowingly. They are the same people who claim that saying men can’t have babies is violence.

That is insane. That fully a quarter of the American population thinks that killing a political rival might be a legitimate tactic, actual violence, is unbelievable…but sadly believable at the same time.

Electromagnetic Weapon Destroys Drone Swarm In Seconds: ‘Singularity Event’

Drones have quickly become all the rage among military leaders and Silicon Valley investors, but new weaponry could threaten the nascent technology’s swift rise.

Last Tuesday, defense contractor Epirus quietly tested its latest electromagnetic weapon, Leonidas, against a swarm of 49 quadcopters, neutralizing them in seconds at Camp Atterbury, Indiana, according to Axios, the only news outlet invited to the groundbreaking test. Numerous U.S. military services and foreign allies, including Indo-Pacific partners, witnessed the event. In an interview with Axios, Epirus CEO Andy Lowery hailed the “forcefield system” as a “singularity event.”

Europe On Path To War Economy: Rheinmetall Opens Continent’s Largest Ammo Factory

In Unterlüß, Lower Saxony, Europe’s largest ammunition factory began production yesterday. What started clandestinely is now being publicly scaled with full firepower: the European Union is building its own war economy.

In the good old days in Germany, recessions were typically masked by state-funded infrastructure programs. The concept worked as long as the state did not overgrow, overregulate, or force the private sector into a destructive ideological agenda, as is the case with the green transformation. In other words: the economy was always able to clear away the debris left behind by the state.

Southern Europe Could Never Recover
In Southern Europe, where the state’s role has traditionally been high, monetary policy generous, and handling of public funds notoriously lax, this policy left nothing but infrastructure ruins and industrial wastelands. Local economies were never able to productively absorb the artificial credit distributed by Brussels. The fatal consequences of this pseudo-boom still shape the landscape today.

For economic historians, present-day Europe has long been a fascinating study object. Crisis followed crisis, with the public sector intervening each time with increasing volume. The attempt to install the Green Deal, a Keynesian pseudo-economy, must be understood in this context. That Germany’s defense company Rheinmetall yesterday launched Europe’s largest ammunition plant in Unterlüß fits into this narrative.

The company invested half a billion euros to provide an annual capacity of up to 350,000 rounds by 2027. 500 new jobs are to be created, celebrated by politicians as a turning point and the beginning of a pan-European defense architecture.

Ceremony and Half-Truths
Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger expressed satisfaction: “It was not easy for us to invest half a billion without orders. I am very grateful to you”—the words were directed at Defense Minister Pistorius—“for keeping your handshake agreements. You are a man of word and deed.” A heavy dose of pathos and self-congratulation is evident here—politics and the defense industry are long intertwined.

Of course, this is only half the truth. Beyond the usual behind-the-scenes deals, politics has made it clear that it is ready to mobilize all means to build a German defense industry and provide sector companies with guarantees and subsidies where necessary. Big business, no risk.

After the collapse of the green economy, politics is now betting everything on the next pseudo-economy. The aim is to loosen dependence on America while exploiting the media spin that stylized Vladimir Putin’s Russia over years as a potential European invader. Whether this fear campaign will work in the long term remains to be seen.

No One Will Fight for Merz or Macron
Given the deep economic depression in which Germany and large parts of the EU are stuck, the general war fatigue, and social fractures in core EU states like Germany and France, it is clear that despite the reinstatement of conscription, most citizens will rigorously reject military engagement.

A glance at EU public finances alone is enough to recognize that a war against Russia is political madness. France, with a debt-to-GDP ratio of 115%, is days away from a confidence vote on the new austerity budget. Bond markets are already punishing these bankrupt states. The signs point to savings, not bellicose adventures.

Absurd and Destructive
It is absurd in this situation—where Germany has almost fully spent the so-called Bundeswehr special fund of €100 billion and now switches to borrowing mode—to accelerate this path. Yet Brussels, Berlin, Paris, and London are serious. In fall 2026, Rheinmetall plans to launch its next plant in Weeze, producing fuselage components for the F-35 fighter jet. Cost: €200 million, this time directly publicly funded.

Defense factories will mushroom in the coming months and years, producing far beyond civilian demand. Germany plans to raise its defense budget to up to 5% of GDP, which will worsen the impoverishment of its population as the private sector already shrinks by 4–5%. A disaster unseen in Europe since the end of the war.

A hot conflict with Russia is economically highly unlikely. Yet a new Cold War, a state of continuous armament like before 1990, seems to be Europe’s goal. They are trapped in an absurd economic theory of central planning and command economy. A new power base is forming: a corporatism between the defense industry and the political complex in Brussels.

Germany as Anchor
Germany has clearly been chosen to finance this economic disaster. The country, previously with one of the lowest debt ratios in the EU at 64%, will double its annual defense budget to €162 billion by 2029. By 2027, the special fund will be exhausted, after which loans up to €400 billion will be required.

Germany will become an active player in bond markets, where interest rates are already rising. The European Central Bank will have plenty of work to keep the rapidly growing debt pile liquid. The EU will also participate with new funds, EDIP and ASAP (a term bordering on infantilism in this context), contributing €50–70 billion annually to joint defense projects.

No Lessons Learned
While Germany’s civilian industry collapses, factories close in droves, and the country moves toward mass unemployment—with all consequences for social funds and the domestic climate—we now witness one grand opening after another: pompous inaugurations of defense plants, with champagne popping at our expense.

Europe has learned nothing from the green pseudo-economy disaster. It refuses to analyze how Germany and other industrial centers were deindustrialized. The fatal consequence of building a war economy is that it will siphon scarce resources from productive sectors on a massive scale, making financing and developing civilian enterprises nearly impossible.

Germany is being technologically left behind and bombing its own prosperity—in the literal sense.

The Pentagon’s current head of human resources, Stephanie Miller, played a central role in advancing the Biden administration’s diversity, equity, and inclusion agenda and enforcing the military’s controversial COVID vaccine mandate, Breitbart News reported Tuesday.

According to Breitbart, Miller served as an “architect” of the military’s DEI programs, led the effort to keep the vaccine mandate in place even as thousands of service members were forced out, and oversaw policies that expedited citizenship for noncitizen service members — including some who had been deported after criminal convictions.

Retired Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Samuel Shoemate highlighted Miller’s record on social media and later told Breitbart that she has been a driving force behind policies that weakened readiness and pushed conservative-leaning service members out of the ranks.

“Stephanie has been an adviser to, and architect of, every decision in the military over the last decade and a half that has harmed military readiness and overall military strength,” Shoemate said.

WW3? French Hospitals Told To Prepare For A “Major Military Engagement” Within Six Months, Hopefully First War Win Since The Revolution

To be fair, They fought themselves in the French Revolution so it’s really a tie.

French hospitals have been advised to prepare for a large scale war by next year, in a government letter that was leaked to the media.

There are reports that the French Ministry of Health has informed hospitals to prepare for a “major [military] engagement” by March of 2026.

The letter allegedly states that between 10,000 to 50,000 people are to be expected in hospitals.

The leaked letter also reportedly explains that mass casualties are to be expected not just from its own forces, but wounded soldiers from across Europe, and that France would be acting as a ‘rear base’.

It outlines how French hospitals would need to prepare for up to 50 THOUSAND beds allocated to wounded civilians and military personnel EVERY MONTH.

The Ministry of Health also noted that it is considering the creation of medical centers near ports and airports.

“In the current international context, it is necessary to anticipate the modalities of health support in situations of high-intensity conflict,” the Ministry of Health letter reportedly notes.

The report adds that Health Minister Catherine Vautrin has not denied the authenticity of letter, claiming that it is “part of preparation.”

“It’s part of preparation, like strategic stockpiles, like epidemics,” Vautrin stated.

She added, “Hospitals are constantly preparing for epidemics and patient intake. The fact that the country is preparing for crises and assessing the consequences of what is happening [in the world] is completely normal.”

“I wasn’t in office at the time of Covid-19, remember, there were no words harsh enough to describe the country’s lack of preparedness,” she further stated.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about this.

Earlier this year, the French government sent a ‘survival manual’ to every household in France, warning them of an ‘imminent threat to the country’.

Japan Marks 80th Anniversary of WWII Surrender as Concern Grows about Fading Memory

Japan is paying tribute to more than 3 million war dead as the country marks its surrender 80 years ago, ending World War II, as concern grows about the rapidly fading memories of the tragedy of war and the bitter lessons from the era of Japanese militarism.

In a national ceremony Friday at Tokyo’s Budokan hall, about 4,500 officials and bereaved families and their descendants from around the country will observe a moment of silence at noon, the time when the then-emperor’s surrender speech began on Aug. 15, 1945.

Just a block away at Yasukuni Shrine, seen by Asian neighbors as a symbol of militarism, dozens of Japanese politicians and their supporters came to pray.

Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba stayed away from Yasukuni and sent a religious ornament as a personal gesture instead of praying at the controversial shrine.

But Shinjiro Koizumi, the agriculture minister considered as a top candidate to replace the beleaguered prime minister, prayed at the shrine. Koizumi, the son of popular former Prime Minitser Junichiro Koizumi whose Yasukuni visit as a serving leader in 2001 outraged China, is a regular at the shrine.

Better than Mossy Oak Or Realtree – “Troops Could Vanish Like Squid”: New Bio-Inspired Camo Lets US Soldiers Evade Sight And High-Tech Sensors Instantly

The fusion of biology and technology continues to break new ground, as seen in a remarkable project funded by DARPA and the Air Force. By leveraging the natural abilities of cephalopods, particularly the squid, researchers are developing advanced camouflage technology for military applications.

Illustration of squid-inspired camouflage technology for military applications. Image generated by AI.

This bio-inspired innovation promises to revolutionize how soldiers hide in plain sight, adapting to various environments by mimicking the squid’s adaptive skin. Such breakthroughs not only highlight the potential of bioinspired materials but also reinforce the crucial role of interdisciplinary research in defense and technology.

The Science Behind Squid-Inspired Camouflage

At the heart of this innovative research is the study of squid skin, particularly the light-reflecting cells known as iridophores. Researchers at the University of California, Irvine, in collaboration with the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, have delved into the unique cellular structures of the longfin inshore squid. These iridophores contain tightly coiled columns of a protein called reflectin. These proteins act like natural Bragg reflectors, enabling the squid to change colors rapidly and efficiently.

Through advanced imaging techniques such as holotomography, scientists have captured detailed three-dimensional views of these cells, revealing how the columns of reflectin twist and organize themselves to manipulate light. This ability allows the squid to transition from being transparent to displaying vibrant colors, a mechanism that could be pivotal in developing materials that mimic these changes for military use.

Three Documents That Manipulated the United States into World War II

In his book Freedom Betrayed: Herbert Hoover’s Secret History of the Second World War and Its Aftermath, the former president repeatedly complained about President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s “fright campaign” to get the United States into World War II. In his terrifying Navy Day address on October 27, 1941, Roosevelt claimed to have a “secret map” showing Nazi plans to invade South America, targeting Brazil and the Panama Canal. The key section of his Navy Day address began with Roosevelt saying, “I have in my possession a secret map made in Germany by Hitler’s Government—by planners of the new world order. It is a map of South America and a part of Central America, as Hitler proposes to reorganize it.”

Hoover was skeptical. He conducted his own personal investigation into FDR’s secret map. “Four years later, after the German surrender, I was in Germany,” he wrote. “The American Army authorities informed me they had been instructed to search for these plans,” former President Hoover added. The result of Hoover’s investigation was fruitless. “Our officials informed me there were no such plans in the captured German files.”

Hoover was not the only one to investigate the origins of Roosevelt’s secret map. According to Lynne Olson’s book Those Angry Days: Roosevelt, Lindbergh, and America’s Fight over World War II, 1939-1941, the German government engaged in a frantic search to find out if it had produced the map. The result of this search was also fruitless. Four days after Roosevelt’s speech, Germany’s Foreign Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop “flatly denied the existence of such a map” and he called it a forgery “of the crudest and most brazen kind.” So, who was telling the truth, Roosevelt or von Ribbentrop?

With a sense of genuine surprise, Olson wrote that “the Reich was telling the truth.” Olson said that “it was a forgery, the product of a clandestine BSC unit in downtown Toronto called Station M.” BSC, which stands for British Security Coordination, was a covert arm of MI6, Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service. Creating fake documents at its Toronto “phony-document factory” was only one part of BSC’s covert operations. According to Thomas E. Mahl’s book Desperate Deception: British Covert Operations in the United States, 1939-44, BSC infected the public opinion polling industry to rig polls and to influence the congressional decision-making process. Mahl wrote, “Unknown to the public, the polls of Gallup, Hadley Cantril, Market Analysts Inc. [run by Sanford Griffith], and Roper were all done under the influence of dedicated interventionists and British intelligence agents.”

Oldest Survivor Of Pearl Harbor Attack Dies At 106

With every passing year, the ranks of those justifiably deemed members of the Greatest Generation continue to dwindle.

This month, the nation lost a veteran who was present for one of America’s darkest days.

As NBC News reports, Vaughn Drake Jr., the oldest known survivor of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, died on April 7 at the age of 106.

At the time of the attack, Drake was assigned to the Army Corps of Engineers, according to Stars & Stripes.

He recounted his remarkable experience in a 2016 interview with the Lexington Herald-Leader.

Working on-site at a temporary power plant meant to assist in the construction of new barracks at Kaneohe Naval Air Station, which was on the opposite side of the island from Pearl Harbor, Drake saw things on that fateful day in December that he would never forget.

“We were getting ready to go to breakfast, and we heard all these planes flying over and making a lot of noise,” he remembered.

“We just figured it was the Army Air Corps carrying out maneuvers for practice, like they did a lot.

“We didn’t pay much attention to it.”

Hegseth Calls For Equal Physical Standards For Men And Women In Combat Roles, Criticizes ‘Slipping’ U.S. Requirements

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a memo on Monday ordering men and women to meet the same physical fitness requirements if they want to work in combat positions, while saying the Pentagon had “allowed standards to slip.”

“Different standards for men and women in combat arms, MOS and jobs, that’s not acceptable,” Hegseth said in a video posted to X, using the abbreviation for “military occupational specialty,” or job type.

“We have to have the same standard — male or female — in our combat roles to ensure our men and women who are under our leaders, or in those formations, have the best possible leaders and the highest possible standards that are not based at all on your sex.”

The memo, released by the Pentagon on Monday, stated “As the nature of warfare evolves and the demands on our Service members grow more complex, it is imperative that we assess and refine the physical fitness standards that enable our readiness and lethality.”

“I am directing the Secretaries of the Military Departments to develop comprehensive plans to distinguish combat arms occupations from non-combat arms occupations,” Hegseth wrote in the document. “This effort will ensure that our standards are clear, mission-focused, and reflective of the unique physical demands placed on our Service members in various roles.”

“Additionally, for certain combat arms roles, it is essential to identify which positions require heightened entry-level and sustained physical fitness. These roles, which are critical to our military’s mission success, demand exceptional physical capabilities, and the standards for them must reflect that rigor,” the memo continues.

“All entry-level and sustained physical fitness requirements within combat arms positions must be sex-neutral, based solely on the operational demands of the occupation and the readiness needed to confront any adversary. In establishing those standards, the Secretaries of the Military Departments may not establish standards that would result in any existing Service member being held to a lower standard,” it also said.

The newest memo comes after Hegseth ordered a review of military fitness and grooming standards earlier this month. The Secretary of Defense has vowed to bring back tougher standards while rescinding ”woke” policies that don’t align with warrior ethos, rebuilding a stronger military and reestablishing deterrence.

“Our standards will be high, uncompromising, and clear,” he said in a January 25th memo to service members. “The strength of our military is our unity and our shared purpose.”

During his trip to Japan, Hegseth announced a plan to upgrade the U.S. military command in the country, which he described as necessary to combat China aggression.

“We share a warrior ethos that defines our forces,” Hegseth told Japanese Defense Minister General Nakatani in Tokyo, adding that Japan is “our indispensable partner” in “deterring communist Chinese military aggression,” including across the Taiwan Strait.

Hegseth said Japan is a “cornerstone of peace and security in the Indo-Pacific” and that the Trump administration would continue to work closely with the Asian nation.

The latest change also includes placing a combined operational commander in Japan, who would be a counterpart to the head of a joint operations command that was established last week by Japan’s Self-defense forces.

There is no race or religion when you are being shot at. When you have to save a fellow soldier, you want someone who can haul your ass out of there, not someone who filled a quota. That person got reduced physical requirements, the only way they could pass, but that doesn’t make them qualified to be a soldier.

No, Women Should Not Be In Combat

When questioning Hegseth, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) said this: “If you are a sharpshooter, you’re as lethal, regardless of what your gender identity is, regardless of who you love.”

This writer would reply: “Senator, go to the largest high school in your state.  Pick out the 100 toughest senior athletes: 50 male, 50 female.  Form two gender-segregated infantry platoons.  Issue them standard infantry combat gear, M4 carbines, and 80-pound rucksacks.

“Teach them how to shoot.  Then order the two platoons to march ten miles, climb a hill, dig foxholes, jump in, and fire at targets 50 yards downhill.  Which platoon would get there faster, open fire faster, and fire more accurately?  Therefore, which platoon is more lethal?”

We all know the answer.

Consider the biathlon, an obscure Olympic event.  Competitors have to ski cross-country, then fire a rifle at a target, then start skiing again, over and over.  Any sharpshooter can confirm that breathing hard; a pounding heart; and shaky, sweaty hands make sharpshooting difficult.  But these are the obvious results of having an exhausted body.

Scores are derived from both accuracy and overall time over the cross-country course.  A mediocre marksman who’s in top condition can beat an expert sniper who’s out of shape, and vice versa.  Infantry must excel in both areas.

Exhaustion effects are both physical and psychological.  Exhausted people don’t want to fight — and if they fight, they’re far less effective.  And as Hegseth observed, the weight of an 80-pound ruck or an artillery shell, or the labor of digging foxholes, doesn’t become lighter or easier if XX rather than XY chromosomes are involved.

An average man is five inches taller and 40–50 pounds heavier than an average woman.  Even if they’re the same height and weight, the man has 50% more upper body strength, greater bone density, larger heart and lungs, and other advantages.

Yes, the Soviet Union put female snipers and combat pilots into combat during World War II — because they were constantly scraping the bottom of their manpower barrel.  A few women rose to the occasion to become Heroes of the Soviet Union, simply because both men and women, when they’re not breathing hard, can be outstanding shots.  And women can develop a truly cold-blooded killer instinct.  All they need to do is imagine their targets attacking their children.  That’s how they’re wired.

There are stories about the Israelis, who also scraped the bottom of their manpower barrel, and were forced to put all-female infantry into combat in the mid-20th century.  According to these unconfirmed reports, male units focused on protecting the women rather than achieving their military objectives.  Again, that’s how we’re wired.

Left-wing defenders of women in combat claim that tanks, radios, and fighter jets don’t require XY chromosomes.  Insert a sighing, eye-rolling emoticon here.  Radios break, tanks break down, and fighter jets get shot down.  Command posts get overrun, and ammo runs out.  In a jam, everybody’s infantry.

Recent events in women’s sports have only served to underscore the difference between men and women.  Like the difference between intelligence and wisdom, we’re just not the same — but each has its own great value, in its own roles.

We’re always had men’s and women’s divisions in sports.  Boxing, wrestling, and all martial arts have weight classes within those divisions.  All this is for good reasons.

The Army was forced to rewrite its field manuals to turn “two-man jobs” into “three-person jobs.”  This can lead to disaster for any military force that faces recruiting shortfalls and relies, in every instance, on quality rather than quantity.

Mach 7 Drone Illustrates China’s Latest Leap in Hypersonic Technology

I guess we are knocking on the door of an Epstein drive (Expanse reference here) or Warp Drive. I hope Scotty can reverse the polarity in the anti-matter drive in time for it to work.

Seriously, the problem is no iron dome can stop a Hypersonic vehicle. A pre-emptive strike would be here and there is nothing we can do about it.

  • China unveils MD-22 hypersonic drone, capable of Mach 7 speeds and near-space operations.
  • The drone is reusable, can travel 8,000 km, and carry 600 kg payloads for military and civilian use.
  • It launches mid-air from a high-altitude balloon, eliminating the need for traditional runways.
  • While China leads in hypersonic tech, the U.S., Russia, and others are also advancing in the field.
  • The drone’s potential for global security and scientific innovation raises both concerns and opportunities.

China’s recent unveiling of a hypersonic drone has sent ripples through the global aerospace community. A video released by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) shows the MD-22, a cutting-edge unmanned aircraft, being launched from a high-altitude balloon and reaching speeds of Mach 7 before landing safely. This breakthrough marks a significant step forward in China’s quest for dominance in hypersonic technology. What exactly is this drone, and should Americans be concerned about China’s advancements?

What makes the hypersonic drone special?

The MD-22 is no ordinary drone. It operates in the “near-space” zone, a region between conventional aircraft and satellites. This gives it unparalleled flexibility and strategic capabilities. The drone can travel up to 8,000 kilometers (4,971 miles) and carry payloads of 600 kilograms (1,323 pounds), making it a formidable tool for both military and civilian applications.

For Once, He’s Not Wrong – North Korea’s Kim accuses US of stoking tension, warns of nuclear war

Biden could have rode off into the sunset for the next couple of months. After blowing up Kamala’s chances of getting elected out of spite for being kicked out of the election, he now wants to screw over Trump and stop him from ending the Russian-Ukraine war. He wanted to leave Trump with a mess and keep the money laundering of money to Ukraine going.

Everyone wants it to end and dumbass Joe has them launch long range US missiles into Russia, stoking the flames so that Putin has to send a message back in the form of a hypersonic missile.

Kim is off his rocker in a Napolean complex, but he said this…

SEOUL, Nov 22 (Reuters) – North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has accused the United States of ramping up tension and provocations, saying the Korean peninsula has never faced a greater risk of nuclear war, state media KCNA said on Friday.

The comments came amid international criticism over increasingly close military co-operation between Pyongyang and Moscow, and assertions that North Korea sent more than 10,000 troops to Russia to support its invasion of Ukraine.

Previous negotiations with Washington have only highlighted its “aggressive and hostile” policy toward North Korea, Kim said in a speech at a military exhibition in Pyongyang, the capital, the KCNA news agency said.

“Never before have the warring parties on the Korean peninsula faced such a dangerous and acute confrontation that it could escalate into the most destructive thermonuclear war,” he said on Thursday.

“We have already gone as far as we can on negotiating with the United States,” he said, adding that the talks had only shown its aggressive and hostile policy toward North Korea could never change.

North Korean state media have not yet publicly mentioned the re-election of Donald Trump, who held three unprecedented meetings with Kim during his first term, in Singapore, Hanoi, and at the Korean border, in 2018 and 2019.

The Danger Is Real: The Deep State’s Plot To Destabilize The Nation Is Working – How They Will Use Martial Law

“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out … without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable.”

– H. L. Mencken

If the three-ring circus that is the looming presidential election proves anything, it is that the Deep State’s plot to destabilize the nation is working.

The danger is real.

Caught up in the heavily dramatized electoral showdown between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, Americans have become oblivious to the multitude of ways in which the government is goosestepping all over our freedoms on a daily basis.

Especially alarming is the extent to which those on both sides are allowing themselves to be gaslighted by both Trump and Harris about critical issues of the day, selectively choosing to hear only what they want to hear when it casts the opposition in a negative light.

This is true whether you’re talking about immigration and border control, health care, national security, the nation’s endless wars, protections for free speech, or the militarization of the U.S. government.

For starters, there’s the free speech double standard, what my good friend Nat Hentoff used to refer to as the “free speech for me but not for thee” phenomenon in which the First Amendment’s protections only apply to those with whom we might agree.

Despite her claims to being a champion for the rule of law, which in our case is the U.S. Constitution, Harris isn’t averse to policing so-called “hate” speech. In this, Harris is not unlike those on both the Right and the Left who continue to express a distaste for unregulated, free speech online, especially when it comes to speech with which they might disagree.

Then there’s Trump, never a fan of free speech protections for his critics, who has been particularly vocal about his desire to see the military vanquish “radical left lunatics,” which he has dubbed “the enemy from within.”

If it were only about muzzling free speech activities, that would be concerning enough.

But Trump’s enthusiasm for using the military to target domestic enemies of the state should send off warning bells, especially coinciding as it does with the Department of Defense’s recent re-issuance of Directive 5240.01, which empowers the military to assist law enforcement “in situations where a confrontation between civilian law enforcement and civilian individuals or groups is reasonably anticipated.”

This is what martial law looks like—a government of force that relies on the military to enforce its authority—and it’s exactly what America’s founders feared, which is why they opted for a republic bound by the rule of law: the U.S. Constitution.

Responding to concerns that the military would be used for domestic policing, Congress passed the Posse Comitatus Act in 1878, which makes it a crime for the government to use the military to carry out arrests, searches, seizure of evidence and other activities normally handled by a civilian police force.

The increasing militarization of the police, the use of sophisticated weaponry against Americans and the government’s increasing tendency to employ military personnel domestically have all but eviscerated historic prohibitions such as the Posse Comitatus Act.

Yet sometime over the course of the past 240-plus years that constitutional republic has been transformed into a military dictatorship disguised as a democracy.

Unfortunately, most Americans seem relatively untroubled by the fact that our constitutional republic is being transformed into a military dictatorship disguised as a democracy.

The seeds of chaos that have been sown in recent years are all part of the Deep State’s plans to usher in martial law.

Why Are We In Wars Right Now, And Who Is Profiting From Them

So think about it. Who is pushing us to war? Here is a hint- Its not Israel who has no choice but to try to cut off ther heads of the multiple snakes that continue to threaten the lives of every Israeli (by the way, many of the terror victims have been Christians and Muslims- including those 12 innocent soccer players.)

It is the Biden/Harris Progressive administration who have been “distancing” themselves (withholding critically needed munitions, not acting strongly in the UN and being mealy mouthed about how far Israel can defend her people) from Israel just as Obama did.

In case you missed it, This is very reminiscent of how Biden baited Russia into the humanitarian calamity in Ukraine. He encouraged the tallk about allowing Ukraine to into NATO while at the same time specifically stating that a “minor incursion” by Russia would not be a problem.

Think about it. The Bidens got millions of dollars out of Ukraine before the war and now the arms factories in the US and Europe can not keep up with the demand for shells, bullets and equipment. This is not to mention the more than $7 Billion worth of equipment squandered in our desertion of Afghanistan. The military industrial complex (and its investors in government) is fat and happy while the borders of our country are undefended, taxes are going up and there are questions about whether we even have enough military equipment to help defend against a Chinese move against Taiwan.

Why We Can’t Have Peace, And Other Nice Things

This article might be the most controversial and incendiary but most accurate ever written in the last 120 years regarding the Islamic belief system. All I request from our readers is to judge its contents not based on emotions or perceptions but entirely upon its accuracy grounded upon the Islamic scripture and sources.

20% of humanity is Muslim, and 80% is none Muslim. Both Sunnis and Shia Muslims are the enemies of 80% of humanity, whom they call Kuffar/Infidels. Among the 20% of Muslims, 85% are Sunnis and 15% are Shia. Each considers the other Kuffar. Therefore, according to Islam, all of humanity is Kuffar.

Most of the 7 billion of humanity who are not Muslims are either totally ignorant of the contents of Muhammad’s Quran and Sunna (traditions about Muhammad recorded in Hadiths) or in denial of what they are reading and or observing about Islam, especially since most of the Western media is itself ignorant of the facts or – for internal political reasons – deliberately ignore these facts, thus rendering their own peoples vulnerable and ill-informed.

Take, for example, the horrendous case in the United Kingdom, where 1400 Christian girls were subjugated to almost a decade of sexual slavery by Muslim gangs of men. It transpired that the police and social services were aware of this but kept their mouths shut so as not to be accused of racism. They callously allowed 1400 innocent lives to be ruined, just to be politically correct, and not one of them was held to account.

Similar cover-ups occur all over Europe for exactly the same asinine reasons.

It is, after all, a fact that 99% of all acts of terror around the world are committed by hundreds of Muslim terrorist organizations, not by Hindus, Buddhists, Christians, or Jews.

The ignorant Western media repeatedly but erroneously declare that there are extremist, radical, and militant Muslims, when in reality, according to Islam, only Muslims who are fundamentalists and or Sharia-compliant are true Muslims; all the others – extremist, radical, and militant Muslims – exist only in the wild imagination of Westerners.

Muslims are not happy in almost every Muslim country. They are not happy in Yemen, not happy in Syria, not happy in Somalia, not happy in Afghanistan, or Pakistan, or Lebanon, or Iraq, or Nigeria, or Iran, or any other Sharia-compliant dysfunctional Muslim country.

Muslims, on the other hand, are happy in France, happy in Italy, happy in the USA, happy in Germany, in Spain, in Canada, and in every Christian country. Muslims are only happy in the lands of the non-Muslims, lands of the Kuffar, where they have all the freedoms they lack in their Muslim countries as well as get free benefits, education, medicine, and housing, all paid for by Christian taxpayers.

Iran, The Enemy Within

Details of the recent limited Israeli retaliatory strike against Iranian anti-aircraft missile batteries at Isfahan are still sketchy. But nonetheless, we can draw some conclusions.

Israel’s small volley of missiles hit their intended targets, to the point of zeroing in on the very launchers designed to stop such incoming ordnance.

The target was near the Natanz enrichment facility. That proximity was by design. Israel showed Iran it could take out the very anti-missile battery designed to thwart an attack on its nearby nuclear facility.

The larger message sent to the world was that Israel could send a retaliatory barrage at Iranian nuclear sites with reasonable assurances that the incoming attacks could not be stopped. By comparison, Iran’s earlier attack on Israel was much greater and more indiscriminate. It was also a huge flop, with an estimated 99 percent of the more than 320 drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles failing to hit their planned targets.

Moreover, it was reported that more than 50 percent of Iran’s roughly 115-120 ballistic missiles failed at launch or malfunctioned in flight.

Collate these facts, and it presents a disturbing corrective to Iran’s non-stop boasts of soon possessing a nuclear arsenal that will obliterate the Jewish state.

Consider further the following nightmarish scenarios: Were Iranian nuclear-tipped missiles ever launched at Israel, they could pass over, in addition to Syria and Iraq, either Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the West Bank, Gaza, or all four. In the cases of Jordan and Saudi Arabia, such trajectories would constitute an act of war, especially considering that some of Iran’s recent aerial barrages were intercepted and destroyed over Arab territory well before they reached Israel.

Ramadan: The Natives Are About To Be Restless

What it should be, a month of kindness (but only to Muslims or something):

In the autumn of 623, during the month of Ramadan, a trade caravan was sent by the Quraysh people from Mecca to Syria. The caravan was led by Abu Sufyan, a leader of the Quraysh people and carried the investments of many of the Quraysh. On the way back from Syria the caravan reportedly consisted of 1,000 camels and 50,000 dinars worth of goods.

Muhammad and his followers made plans to attack the caravan. Abu Sufyan got wind of Muhammad’s intention and sent a messenger to Mecca for help. A relief column, said to have been 1,000 strong, then set out to protect the caravan.

In the battle that ensued, the battle of Badr, the Muslims were fueled by Muhammad’s promises of paradise. The Quraysh on the other hand were reluctant to kill their kin among the Muslims. The Muslims prevailed and slashed the Quraysh as they fled and managed to acquire booty and a number of hostages for ransom. Shortly after his victory over the Quraysh, Muhammad defeated the Qaynuqa, a Jewish tribe living in two fortresses in the southwest of the city of Medina and divided their wealth 4/5 to his followers and 1/5 to himself.

Story

What it really is (a month of war against the world, starting with the Israeli’s):

The battle of Badr took place on Ramadan. Throughout history, Muslims have taken advantage of Ramadan to wage war against their enemies. Five historic Islamic battles were fought in the month of Ramadan: the Battle of Badr, the Conquest of Mecca, the Battle of Tabuk, the Battle of Amin Jalut, and the Battle of Hattin.

Palestinians deliberately commit terror attacks during the month of Ramadan. In 2022, the Hamas website posted: “We welcome the blessed month of Ramadan, the month of jihad, martyrdom, and mighty victories.”

The Houthi terrorists of Yemen organized multiple rallies throughout the country Friday in support of their Red Sea terror campaign, reportedly attracting thousands of people in support of the Sunni jihadist terror group Hamas.

The rallies occurred on the last Friday before the anticipated start of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, expected to begin on Sunday or Monday in various parts of the world. They also capped off a milestone week for the Houthis, who tallied the first sunken ship and first kills in their seemingly random bombings of commercial vessels navigating in and around the Red Sea.

China And The Next Pearl Harbor

By the time police responded to a call shortly before 10 a.m. regarding a Chinese man and woman conducting surveillance near a security entrance of the historic Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, the two fled in what police identified as a 2021 silver Nissan Altima, with unidentified plates.

The two suspects had been “capturing digital media of the entry control point,” police said. Later that afternoon the pair–a man with a black crew cut and the woman with shoulder-length hair, a pink top, and a white skirt–appeared at another entry point. Police issued a “BOLO,” or “be-on-the-lookout,” notice for the two at all base entrances.

Biologist Blows Whistle: Covid Shots Killed 17 Million People

A world-renowned biologist has blown the whistle with explosive allegations against globalist power elites and the pharmaceutical industry.

Biologist Bret Weinstein dropped several bombshells during a new interview with independent news anchor Tucker Carlson.

While raising the alarm about the power grab of the United Nations (UN) World Health Organization (WHO), Weinstein left Carlson stunned when he stated how many people have died from Covid mRNA injections.

He cited scientific evidence that shows 17 million died globally as a result of the shots.

So I’m not a math genius, but one in eight hundred shots times billions is a lot of people…17 million deaths from the Covid vaccine?” Carlson asked.

“Just for perspective: I mean, that’s like the death toll of a global war,” Carlson noted.

Ten War Crimes By Hamas (Against Humanity)

Hamas tortured and caused physical suffering to hostages. From placing burn marks on children to identify them if they escaped to just murdering hostages they violate Geneva IV.32. Nothing is too low & depraved for Hamas.

High IQ Humor – Chess Style

It’s like the movie War Games. The media is the enemy this time. The emerging pattern is that they’ve started (and lost) almost all of the wars recently. This war is against the middle class, the everyday Joe six-pack and flyover country.

The high IQ part of this is to ignore them and pay attention to the facts.

Why We Need Men

I get tired of men bashing by the weak who try to build themselves up by tearing others down.

I went in search of things like great men, men who saved the world and why we need men and the results were trash, just like TV, the movies and how men are depicted today.

Our world, the country and a lot of things would be different were it not for men who laid it on the line.

Some are quick to point out the bad things. There is good and bad in everyone, both genders, countries and every person in history. To categorically say things like toxic masculinity and man-splaining are rubbish. It is an attempt to try and take down another person/group because one doesn’t agree with it.

I look to the good points of what men have done. There are a lot of people that should be thankful that good men have laid it on the line for causes that bettered the world. A lot of the time, they paid the ultimate price.

If you look at commercials or the villains these days, they make men out to be weak and morons. Guess what, it’s not that way. The world needs men to save it when the SHTF

Stop trashing men because they are men. It is a good thing to have balance in the world and part of that balance is male.

Basement Biden Will Likely Take The Blame For the Afghanistan Debacle, But It Was Lost By Congress Years Ago

I’m going to piss some people off here, sorry but not sorry. I’ll go back to humor and sarcasm soon enough.

The USA has egg on it’s face over Afghanistan. We now look weak. No one is afraid of the strongest world power who should protect the world. We can’t protect anything now, and global tyrants now can start their plunder.

WHAT IS WAR

First, it’s not pretty. War is about killing people and blowing up things to stop the evil goals of power and control. If you don’t believe me, look what the Taliban are doing right now (they include raping though). There is too much history to ignore it. You win by unconditional surrender, or you waste time and money, accomplishing nothing.

You either fight to win (WWII) or chase your tail. Vietnam was won until we pulled out. Never forget Saigon. The Tet offensive was a success and the Viet Cong were all but defeated, yet we pulled out and an untold number of South Vietnamese were slaughtered. Guess what is going to happen to the Afghan’s soon, especially women?

The hostages in Iran could have only been held for 4 hours or 4 days, not 444 days if we had any guts.

Wars are won by those on the ground (figuratively and actually) who see the situation, take action and be decisive.

CONGRESS, THE CULPRIT

Congress took control because they are power hungry, or afraid of not gaining more and passed useless regulations hamstringing the troops from being able to execute.

The dumbest thing I every heard was them saying we need to win/secure the outcome. Who the hell knows what the outcome of a fight is until it is fought?

It is the get principle. Get in, get it (victory) and get out. You win or you don’t.

They each blame the other side (R’s and D’s) so they can put into place restrictions on being able to win a war (taking control out of the hands of the soldiers). Pilots have the enemy in sight, but have to call in whether they can take the shot. The assholes in Washington don’t want to look bad with any collateral damage to their re-election, or upsetting a Mullah who wants to kill us anyway. Those bastards don’t hesitate and rape, murder, cut off heads and will wait for centuries to win when they know the opposition is weak. Ever hear of death to America or that we are the great Satan?

If congress would have given the power to win back to the military, this didn’t have to happen. They used Abu Ghraib to take power and we got Benghazi and now Afghanistan as a result.

The other reason congress wants an unwinnable war is to divide the nation and create an endless bank for them to spend.

They have reduced fighting to win to wheel spinning and appearances.

Recently, ISIS was all but eliminated when we were allowed to actually fight to win. There is an example of how it works.

Congress never understood the tribalism or the reality in Afghanistan. It cost the USSR and now the US(S)A trillions, for nothing gained. The Taliban now has control. They hate the Western world and it’s a base for the next wave of terrorism. Where do you think 9/11 was hatched?

MORE INTERESTED IN BEING WOKE

China must be laughing at us now, with General Mark Milley as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff more concerned with CRT, the alphabet soup of LGBTWXYZ (I can’t keep up with the changes to this) and anything other than actually putting a fighting force together that can win.

We’ve shown (ask the soldiers) that there is no color problem, especially when you are being shot at. You want to have the best soldier beside you and be able to trust his ass that he’ll save yours.

Guess who is going to suffer the most? Afghan women. Where is Megan Rapinoe standing up for women now? Instead, she’s demanding more money for playing a kids game.

Or this loser

WHO’S NEXT

Look out Taiwan, you are next. Xi isn’t afraid of us doing anything now that he has bought off congress and know we won’t act. Putin has Hunter Biden’s laptop as blackmail to stop Biden from doing anything (ok, my speculation but think about it).

Don’t believe me? Look at Hong Kong being steamrolled into oblivion. They are being assimilated by the Borg that is China.

Are we doing anything about the island building in the South China Sea? No, it’s a military expansion while we twiddle our thumbs.

Japan is next. They have been pacifists since WWII and depend on the USA to protect them (like Taiwan). I hope they take a lesson from this and start arming themselves.

NO END IN SIGHT.

Congressmen and Senators have one main goal, to get re-elected. They don’t care about the country anymore and will sellout anyone for this goal. That’s you and me, the military, Taiwan, Japan, Europe and anyone who gets in their way.

Have they ever given up power once they voted it to themselves? Look at history to find the answer is no.

CAN WE GET OUT OF THIS

Where we stand today, the answer is no. The commander in chief is Congress, not the president. We need a leader, something I’m not sure we’ve had in a while. The last time we won on the world stage was when Reagan defeated the Soviet Union, without a shot fired.

The world was afraid of what Trump was going to do because he was unpredictable. That didn’t make him a great C-I-C, but there was a deal negotiated to not abandon all our equipment to terrorists. They now have the best US technology to use against us. I don’t know that I agree with either Trump or Biden about leaving. Neither wanted to win, but that doesn’t matter now.

Take power away from Congress and give it back to the military. Give us real leaders and soldiers. Quit worrying if we look the right way to some minuscule section of the population that dominates social media and develop a fighting force that doesn’t have to worry which bathroom to use.

Beware Of AI, The Robots Always Kill The Humans

2001: A Space Odyssey, Terminator, Aida of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the robots always want to take over in the end and kill the humans.

See below the meme on stupidity so I can get to the point.

Yes, this woman is an idiot. My robot vacuum is so stupid it doesn’t know where it’s going. I named it Jarvis after Ironman’s AI assistant (Paul Bettany). It is my dearest form of sarcasm. So the vacuum isn’t going to kill me, but that isn’t my point.

The AI in the wrong hands is dangerous though.

For example, what if an AI-bot creates vaccines for diseases by predicting what the next strain will be. What if the next strain is the one that causes humans to shut down all the robots. There you have the premise for how it goes with AI taking over. Kill the humans.

I could bore your with many other examples like using AI to enhance a soldiers armory. It would be controlling your actions, making you more invincible in war. If it sensed a danger that didn’t exist, it could fire up the code to kill everyone in the way and you have created a murderer out of an innocent man. Kill the humans.

Fortunately, I’ve been around AI development. That danger isn’t exactly around the corner yet.

I worked at IBM and knew that Watson was a gimmick. The Chairman told me it was. They are trying to sell it now because it’s usefulness in medicine paled in comparison to it winning Jeopardy. It was a lot of wasted money because they could to sum it up.

Some of the team have moved to Quantum Computing because Watson was a dud.

Microsoft, Google and Facebook are much different and apparently more evil. IBM is too bureaucratic to turn it into a killer robot. However, if you’ve read any of my social media rants, you know that I trust these three companies less than almost anything, except Congress and the media. I will say they are equally evil though. (Another shot for the censors to see if they are watching here). They are the ones that will kill the humans.

Now, imagine if it got into the wrong hands. What could some guys who want to either take over or blow up the world do with that kind of power? Those bastards are evil. At least the robots just went bad.

And there you have it. Like many things we can create, there is always someone hanging around to put it to bad use.

Yamamoto’s Master Plan for Pearl Harbor Attack

Yamamoto was educated in the US and knew us well.  He also knew that we were a sleeping industrial giant.  He was well aware of the 2nd Amendment and how much we believed in it (We still do for the Islamic Jihad Terrorists).  He also knew he couldn’t attack the US, but a surprise attack would and could cripple us for a while until the industrial might of a sleeping giant was woken up.  Luck was not on his side that day as the US Carriers were out at sea and the Battleships (an aging, but vital weapon) was all that was harbored in Pearl Harbor.

Here is the take by the Pacific War.com

JAPANESE PREPARATIONS FOR THE ATTACK ON PEARL HARBOR

Admiral Yamamoto plans the Destruction of the United States Pacific Fleet

These aircraft are superb reproductions of the Nakajima Type 97 carrier torpedo bombers (Allied code-name “Kate”) that attacked the United States Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor. They were used in the gripping and historically accurate 20th Century Fox film Tora, Tora, Tora! (1970).

In conformity with this traditional approach to naval warfare, the Japanese Naval General Staff intended to limit naval operations in support of Japan’s military thrust into South-East Asia to offensive actions against local American, British and Dutch naval forces defending their country’s colonial possessions in South-East Asia. To the conservative admirals of the Naval General Staff, a direct confrontation in the central Pacific Ocean between their navy and the United States Navy was unthinkable.

In early 1941, Vice Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto was appointed Commander-in-Chief of Japan’s Combined Fleet, and he immediately took issue with the cautious policy of the Japanese Naval General Staff. Yamamoto did not believe that the United States Pacific Fleet would remain idle at Pearl Harbor while Japan attacked and seized America’s Philippines, and British and Dutch colonial possessions in South-East Asia. He believed that Japan must cripple the United States Pacific Fleet at the same time as it launched its attacks on countries of South-East Asia.

With this firm conviction, Admiral Yamamoto began to consider a surprise carrier-launched air attack on the United States Pacific Fleet at its Pearl Harbor base timed to coincide with Japan’s military aggression in South-East Asia. Yamamoto instructed Rear Admiral Takijiro Onishi, Chief of Staff of the 11th Air Fleet, to assess the feasibility of an attack on Pearl Harbor by carrier-launched aircraft. Onishi enlisted the assistance of Commander Minoru Genda, a brilliant staff officer and tactician serving with Japan’s 1st Air Fleet. Genda studied the problem and came to the conclusion that an attack on Pearl Harbor could succeed if (a) the attack took the Americans completely by surprise, (b) the attack occurred early on a Sunday morning when American defence preparedness would be at a low level, (c) all six of Japan’s best aircraft carriers were used, and (d) highly skilled aircrews were used in the attack. To ensure complete surprise, Genda’s plan precluded alerting the Americans to their danger by a prior declaration of war.

Admiral Yamamoto’s plan for a surprise peacetime attack on the United States Pacific Fleet at Hawaii would involve a strike force which included Japan’s six largest and most powerful aircraft carriers. His task was made much easier by President Roosevelt’s decision to relocate the United States Pacific Fleet from California to Hawaii. As Yamamoto saw it, the destruction of the American Pacific Fleet would give Japan time to seize the Philippines, Malaya, British Borneo, Burma and the Netherlands East Indies (now Indonesia), and gain access to the oil, minerals, rubber and other resources that Japan needed to sustain its aggressive war machine. He was hopeful that, with its Pacific Fleet destroyed or crippled, the Americans would be willing to accept a peace settlement that allowed Japan to keep its new conquests in South-East Asia.

The Japanese Naval General Staff initially rejected Admiral Yamamoto’s plan for an attack on Pearl Harbor as being too great a gamble. They doubted that surprise could be achieved when the strike force would be at sea for two weeks before the attack. Japan had eleven aircraft carriers, and the admirals felt that Yamamoto’s plan could put at risk their six best carriers. They also felt that diverting Japan’s six most powerful aircraft carriers to Hawaii would leave the southern attacks on the Philippines and British Malaya dangerously unprotected. In the end, Yamamoto only overcame their opposition by threatening to resign.

Although the admirals of the Naval General Staff were reluctantly persuaded by Yamamoto to abandon the policy of defensive naval war in favour of attack, the years of night warfare training and the highly accurate, long range torpedoes associated with the defensive policy would give the Japanese Imperial Navy a significant edge over Allied navies in night actions during the Pacific War.

Training for the Pearl Harbor Attack

Early in 1941, despite the fact that the Chief of the Naval General Staff, Admiral Osami Nagano, had not yet approved a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, Admiral Yamamoto directed that intensive planning and training for such an attack was to be undertaken.

Japanese naval aircrews had already honed their war skills flying sorties against the poorly equipped and trained Chinese air force and army. However, Pearl Harbor offered special challenges to an enemy force proposing to use air-launched torpedoes. The harbor was comparatively shallow and a large area in the centre of the harbor was occupied by Ford Island. The American battleships were moored on the eastern side of Ford Island. The water area between the battleships and the eastern shore of the harbor was narrow. Japanese torpedoes would have to be redesigned for use in shallow harbor waters, and torpedo aircrews would have to learn to drop their torpedoes with great precision so that they would land in the narrow stretch of water between the eastern shore of the harbor and the battleships. The Japanese aircrews went about this training with great enthusiasm and dedication. By November 1941, they were ready for the attack.

On 3 November 1941, the Chief of the Japanese Naval General Staff finally gave his approval to Admiral Yamamoto’s plan to attack the United States Pacific Fleet at its Pearl Harbor base.

The Japanese Carrier Strike Force departs for Hawaii

To distract the American government while it secretly positioned a powerful aircraft carrier strike force for the “sneak attack” on Pearl Harbor, the Japanese government had ordered its envoys in Washington to engage the American government in intensive diplomatic negotiations.AdmiralYamamoto’s aircraft carrier strike force, under the command of Vice-Admiral Chuichi Nagumo, left Japan on 26 November 1941.

The fast and powerful aircraft carrier Akagi was regarded as the “Queen” of the Japanese Imperial Navy. It is shown here in 1941. It was the flagship of Vice Admiral Chuichi Nagumo for the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Preserving strict radio silence, Nagumo’s carriers steered well clear of normal shipping lanes and headed for a stand-by point about 1,000 miles (1,600km) north of Hawaii. The carrier strike force comprised Japan’s six largest fleet aircraft carriers, Akagi, Kaga, Soryu, Hiryu, Shokaku, and Zuikaku. Each of these aircraft carriers would later play a role in the major sea battles closely related to Australia’s survival in 1942. The last two would take part in the crucial Battle of the Coral Sea. The first four would take part in the pivotal Battle of Midway. The carriers were supported by battleships, cruisers, destroyers and submarines.

Japan’s Prime Minister Tojo threatens Britain and America with War

In the last week of November 1941, at a time when Admiral Nagumo’s aircraft carriers were sailing towards Pearl Harbor with hostile intent, Japan’s militarist Prime Minister, General Hideki Tojo, issued a blunt warning to Britain and the United States that Japan would “purge East Asia of US -British power with a vengeance”. General Tojo’s threat appeared on the front page of the New York Herald Tribune on Sunday, 30 November 1941, exactly seven days before the Japanese attack on America’s Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor.

Despite the clear threat of war contained in Tojo’s warning, and despite having no knowledge of the whereabouts of Japan’s six largest fleet aircraft carriers, no steps were taken at Hawaii to bring the United States Pacific Fleet or the United States Army Air Corps to a state of war alert.

The Americans had broken the Japanese diplomatic code in September 1941, and were able to read coded messages from Tokyo to Japan’s embassies in Berlin and Washington. The United States government knew that Japan had warned its diplomats in Washington that certain unspecified events would occur after 29 November 1941. However, the Americans believed that the warning fore-shadowed possible aggressive moves by Japan against the Philippines or British or Dutch colonial possessions in South-East Asia. Although they did not believe that an attack on Pearl Harbor was planned by the Japanese, the American commanders in Hawaii took steps to guard against possible hostile action by Japanese submarines and sabotage to military aircraft or installations on the main island of Oahu. To guard against sabotage, Major General Short lined up his aircraft on the runways as if for an inspection. They would prove easy targets for Japanese aircraft when the attack came.

The Order to attack the United States Pacific Fleet

When the Japanese aircraft carrier strike force reached its stand-by point north of Hawaii, it waited to receive either final confirmation to proceed with the attack on Pearl Harbor or an order to return to Japan. On 1 December 1941, the Japanese government reached a firm decision to make war on the United States. On 2 December 1941, a radio signal containing the code words “climb Mount Niitaka” was received by Vice Admiral Nagumo aboard his flagship Akagi. The code message was an order to attack Pearl Harbor on Sunday, 7 December 1941. The Japanese were well aware that most Americans at this time observed Sunday as a holy day, and they had carefully timed the surprise attack to occur when many Americans in Hawaii would be preparing for or attending church services.

Surprise was considered vital to the success of the attack on the American fleet. There would be no prior declaration of war to alert the Americans to their danger.

Admiral Nagumo’s carrier strike force refuelled at sea on 5 and 6 December. Its approach to Hawaii was screened from American reconnaissance aircraft by low, dense cloud cover.

Japanese intelligence informed Nagumo on 6 December that the American battleships and a large number of smaller warships were in Pearl Harbor. However, Nagumo’s primary targets were the American aircraft carriers, and they were all absent from the harbor. The Japanese believed that the American aircraft carriers Lexington, Saratoga, Enterprise and Yorktown were all based at Pearl Harbor at this time. Their intelligence was faulty. Having undergone routine dry-docking, Saratoga was at San Diego on the American west coast. Yorktown was stationed with the newly commissioned Hornet in the Atlantic at this time. Only Lexington and Enterprise were actually based at Pearl Harbor on 6 December 1941, and fortunately for the United States and Australia, both carriers were at sea when the Japanese attack took place. Despite this setback, Nagumo was under orders to proceed with the attack.

On 6 December 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt intervened personally in the cause of peace by sending a direct appeal to the Emperor of Japan. It fell on deaf ears in Tokyo. The Japanese government was determined on war and had no intention of recalling the Japanese carrier force.

World’s Most Emotional Countries and Why

emotional-map2This is not my data, rather a Bloomberg study. What I can’t figure out is how the US is so emotional except for the political discord recently (the article below says they are happy).  I much more expected it from the Latin countries.

According to Bloomberg, the source of this map, here are the real reasons:

Singapore is the least emotional country in the world. ”Singaporeans recognize they have a problem,” Bloomberg Businessweek writes of the country’s “emotional deficit,” citing a culture in which schools “discourage students from thinking of themselves as individuals.” They also point to low work satisfaction, competitiveness, and the urban experience: “Staying emotionally neutral could be a way of coping with the stress of urban life in a place where 82 percent of the population lives in government-built housing.”

The Philippines is the world’s most emotional country. It’s not even close; the heavily Catholic, Southeast Asian nation, a former colony of Spain and the U.S., scores well above second-ranked El Salvador.

Post-Soviet countries are consistently among the most stoic. Other than Singapore (and, for some reason, Madagascar and Nepal), the least emotional countries in the world are all former members of the Soviet Union. They are also the greatest consumers of cigarettes and alcohol. This could be what you call and chicken-or-egg problem: if the two trends are related, which one came first? Europe appears almost like a gradient here, with emotions increasing as you move West.  (their emotions are sedated)

People in the Americas are just exuberant. Every nation on the North and South American continents ranked highly on the survey. Americans and Canadians are both among the 15 most emotional countries in the world, as well as ten Latin countries. The only non-American countries in the top 15, other than the Philippines, are the Arab nations of Oman and Bahrain, both of which rank very highly. (they have it good there)

English- and Spanish-speaking societies tend to be highly emotional and happy. Though the Anglophone nations of the world retain deep cultural links, it’s not clear if Spain’s emotional depth has anything to do with Latin America’s. According to Gallup, “Latin America leads the world when it comes to positive emotions, with Panama, Paraguay, and Venezuela at the top of that list.” Yes, even Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela is apparently filled with happy people. (they have to say that or be imprisoned)

Africans are generally stoic, with some significant exceptions. The continent is among the world’s least emotional, though there is wide variation, which serves as a non-definitive but interesting reminder of Africa’s cultural diversity. Each could be its own captivating case study. It’s possible that South Africa’s high rating has to do with its cultural ties to Western Europe, for example, and Nigeria’s may have to do with the recent protest movement in the south and sectarian violence in the north.  (life is tough for them, they cope)

The Middle East is not happy. Gallup notes, “Negative emotions are highest in the Middle East and North Africa, with Iraq, Bahrain, and the Palestinian Territories leading the world in negative daily experiences.” Still, that doesn’t quite fully explain the high emotions in the Levant and on the Arabian peninsula, compared to the lower emotions in Libya, Algeria, and Morocco. Perhaps this hints at how people in these countries are being affected by the still-ongoing political turmoil of the Arab Spring.  (they are rife with terrorists who brim with hate)

What am I missing? Every color-coded national boundary here tells a story. Why is Haiti so bereft of emotion compared to its neighbors? Why is Angola so heavy with feeling? Leave your thoughts in the comments or reach me on social media. (Haiti was founded on voodoo so they believe in the devil).

Sunday, December 7th, 1941, a Date that will live in Infamy

A question that has interested historians and researchers for decades is: why? Why did Japan launch an attack that, in hindsight at least, they clearly had no chance of winning? The obvious answer is that they thought they could, but military and naval strategists know the answer is not so simple.

Precisely because its resources were so depleted by the war with China, it is accepted wisdom that Japan was hoping to expand its territories in the Pacific. If these areas belonged to Japan, they would, almost by default, become customers for Japan’s industrial and resource sectors.

But the Japanese underestimated America’s resolve to defend itself, for however long, and by whatever means necessary. If Japan hoped that America might take a “c’est la vie” attitude to the prospect of losing a battle in the Philippines, it was sorely mistaken. Nor was America still weary from the First World War.

Japan also underestimated the extent of Americans’ outrage at the bombing in 1941. It fueled the nation’s desire to win at almost any cost. No democratic government on earth can move forward without the will of the people, and after Pearl Harbor, the American people’s will was ferocious.

Here is the text and a link to the speech that FDR made after the attack at Pearl Harbor.

I read the Biography of Admiral Yamamoto, the architect of the attack. He believed that the only way to defeat the United States of America was a surprise attack that would disable our military in the Pacific. He clearly stated that he feared that if the attack was not completely successful, it would awaken a sleeping giant that the Empire of Japan could not defeat in standard battle. It must haunt his legacy.

Tactically, the mistake was not destroying the aircraft carriers which were out at sea that day or his plan may have succeeded.

As it turned out, he was shot down only a few years later in a surprise attack by a squadron of P-38’s heading to an inspection in the Pacific.

Here is the Youtube speech by FDR

I find ironic the words of the second half of the speech, if applied to 9/11, would be appropriate. Also ironic is that Japan was extending its reach for economic resources.

The United States was at peace with that nation and, at the solicitation of Japan, was still in conversation with its Government and its Emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific. Indeed, one hour after Japanese air squadrons had commenced bombing in Oahu, the Japanese Ambassador to the United States and his colleague delivered to the Secretary of State a formal reply to a recent American message. While this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or armed attack.

It will be recorded that the distance of Hawaii from Japan makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time, the Japanese Government had deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.

The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian Islands has caused severe damage to American naval and military forces. I regret to tell you, very many American lives were lost. In addition, American ships have been reported torpedoed on the high seas between San Francisco and Honolulu.

Yesterday the Japanese Government also launched an attack against Malaya.
Last night Japanese forces attacked Hong Kong.
Last night Japanese forces attacked Guam.
Last night Japanese forces attacked the Philippine Islands.
Last night Japanese forces attacked Wake Island.
This morning the Japanese attacked Midway Island.

Japan has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the Pacific area. The facts of yesterday and today speak for themselves. The people of the United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our nation.

As Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy, I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense.

But always will our whole nation remember the character of the onslaught against us.
No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.

I believe I interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost but will make very certain that this form of treachery shall never endanger us again.

Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our people, our territory, and our interests are in grave danger.

With confidence in our armed forces-with the unbounded determination of our people-we will gain the inevitable triumphso help us God.

I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, 7 December 1941, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Japanese Empire.

Here is the only color film of the event.  Listen to how excited the Japanese are and their commitment to give everything, including lives to this war:
