What Do Americans Consider Immoral? – Republicans and Democrats differ sharply on whether abortion, homosexuality and the death penalty are morally wrong
From Ethnocentric to ‘Racist’ – Don’t blame it all on boomers, but we didn’t live up to the previous generation, for sure in sacrifice and for double sure in consumer egotism. Now, we’ve bred Gen X,Y, and Z; and the dreaded millennials.
How Buying Habits Have Changed
The Changing American — and International — Buying Culture – no more Sears catalog, and the Scandanavian countries Unions are so onerous that Amazon makes Denmark buy through Germany. They’re practically Germans anyway (not really, but when I say it, it pisses them off). They share a border and most speak good German.
No Rap Songs in the Top 40 for First Time in 35 Years – It wasn’t music anyway, it was bitches this, whores that, kill the cops, and a thug culture that influence the youth badly in education. I saw it with my own eyes when tutoring these students. Turn it into Disco and burn it for good.
First, it was unions, then DEI, and now unions again. No wonder they can’t keep their planes in the air or bring back astronauts from the ISS.
Boeing Management has let the company go to shit. Get rid of the unions and the diversity and build a plane that I trust getting on. Competition is a good thing, it makes better products at cheaper prices, unlike Unions.
SEATTLE—Boeing’s BA 0.89%increase; green up pointing triangle biggest labor union went on strike, halting production of its best-selling jets and dealing the latest blow to the struggling aerospace giant.
Thousands of machinists who build Boeing’s 737, 777 and 767 jets walked off the job shortly after midnight Pacific time Friday, after rejecting a labor deal struck between the union’s leaders and Boeing’s executives. The contract offered 25% wage increases over four years.
Union leaders of the 33,000-member International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers chapter said about 94% of their members voted to reject the contract and 96% voted to go on strike. The officials said they would seek to return to the negotiating table with the company.
The strike will deal a financial blow when Boeing is bleeding cash and piling up debt following January’s Alaska Airlines accident in which a door plug blew off a 737 MAX jetliner in midair. A prolonged stoppage threatens to further strain the industry’s supply chain and exacerbate jet shortages for airline.
The president of the country’s largest teachers union was mocked for a “totally unhinged” speech in which she shouted about winning “all the things.”
Becky Pringle, president of the National Education Association (NEA), banged on the podium, waved her arms, and laughed out loud as she shouted about social justice last week at the union’s Annual Meeting and Representative Assembly in Philadelphia.

“With determination and defiance, we will protect public education,” she said. “We will fight privatization. We will fight vouchers. We will fight any and all schemes to drain resources from our beloved public schools!”

For the record, private schools and vouchers for kids to get them to a better school have proven to provide a better education. Public schools teach to the lowest level.
This is about money, power and control. She even says so without realizing it.
Our public school system has been decaying for decades. My parent’s education was actually better than mine for fundamentals. I only benefited from more current knowledge and information…..and considerable hard work. When it’s easy to cruise through school as it is now fundamentally flawed (and the US ranks very low compared to the world in math and vocabulary scores), the facts are indicating that the kids learn less. It has come out that 80% of high school kids in NYC can’t read.
Some have taken a step to leave this indoctrination and are Home Schooling their kids. If you’ve followed the spelling bee championships, home schooled kids regularly win. It’s a parent’s duty to do the best for their kids, whatever it takes.
“What about home schooling? You know, it’s not just for scary religious people any more.” That’s a line from Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and it should strike fear into the hearts, not of vampires, but of public-school administrators everywhere.
The fact is, Americans across the country — but especially in large, urban school systems — are voting with their feet and abandoning traditional public schools, to the point that teachers are facing layoffs. Some are going to charter schools, which are still public but are run more flexibly. Some are leaving for private schools. But many others are going another step beyond traditional education, and switching to online school or even pure home schooling.
And, as Buffy so accurately noted, it’s not just “scary religious people.” In fact, rather than scary, those religious people are looking more like trendsetters. A recent piece in The Atlantic told of purely secular parents’ decision to take their kids out of New York public schools and home school instead:
