Another good game was Red Rover. It’s where you line up kids in 2 groups, holding each other by the arms, and pick someone from the other side to run and try to break the hold. Red rover, red rover, send x (next victim) on over. In reality, it was a way to clothesline a kid from the other side, also great fun.
We also played war, kick the can, and baseball, where a parked car served as 3rd base. The game would stop for a while if a car came through, but there weren’t as many back then.
And then there is dodgeball. That’s where you’d hit the girls and the fat kids first. Nothing beats a good shot to the face though. That’s the real score

Life was easier back then, and we didn’t need a Switch or Xbox to play video games. Our moms kicked us out of the house, and we made stuff up.
If there were not enough other kids, you could climb a tree or throw something for the dog to chase. I grew up in an old tangerine farm so that is what we had, way before tennis balls were dog toys.

Every horse that ran the 151st Kentucky Derby on Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky, is reportedly descended from one American champion.
Pedigrees apparently show those horses are descended from Secretariat, the horse that in 1973 ran the fastest mile-and-a-quarter in the derby’s history, the Louisville Courier Journalreported Saturday.
Looking back six generations of most horses will reportedly show they are descended from a champion such as Secretariat or Northern Dancer, the outlet said.
According to derby contending trainer Whit Beckman, “It’s one of those stats. It’s bound to happen at some point with how much he shows up in every single pedigree. It’s really cool. Very cool.”
Secretariat was a thoroughbred racehorse that became the first in 25 years to win the Triple Crown in 1973, per History.com. According to the site:

A high school track runner in Virginia is facing assault and battery charges after she was seen on video striking a competing runner with a baton during a relay race, leaving her with a concussion and a possible fractured skull.
Viral footage showed I.C. Norcom High School runner Alaila Everett strike Brookville High School junior Kaelen Tucker as she overtook Everett during a 4×200 meter relay race at Liberty University in Lynchburg last Tuesday.
“Eventually after a couple times of hitting her, my baton got stuck behind her back like this, and it rolled up her back,” Everett said. “I lost my balance, when I pumped my arms again she got hit.”

Everett claims her hand simply slipped which resulted in the other runner Kaelen Tucker, getting a concussion & possibly fractured skull.

Tucker, demanding an apology, also described the incident to WSLS earlier this week, saying, “When you go to the other side of the track, you have to cross into lane one, you have to merge in. As I was coming up on her, she kind of like made me get cut off a little bit, so I backed away…Then, as we got around the curve, she kept bumping me in my arm. Then finally we got off the curve, I like slowly started passing her and then that’s when she just hit me with the baton and I fell off the track.”
Doctors told her she’d suffered a concussion and possible skull fracture.
Portsmouth NAACP defended Everett ahead of charges being announced, writing, “Alaila is NOT AN ATTACKER and media headlines that allude towards that in any way is shameful. We understand the sensitivity of the circumstances for both athletes and their families involved but this narrative must not go unaddressed.”
The statement continued: “Alaila is an honor student and a star athlete at the historic I.C. Norcom High School. From all accounts, she is an exceptional young leader and scholar whose athletic talent has been well documented and recognized across our state. She has carried herself with integrity both on and off the field and any narrative that adjudicates her guilty of any criminal activity is a violation of her due process rights.”
Following an investigation, Lynchburg Commonwealth Attorney Bethany Harris charged Everett with misdemeanor assault and battery on Wednesday, Mar. 12.

It seems the musician opted not to say the word so as not to trigger another lawsuit, as right before he started rapping he told the crowd, ‘I want to perform their favorite song, but you know they love to sue.’

Every year feminist activists attempt to stir up a new controversy in order to fabricate public outrage and keep their agenda visible on social media. In 2024 one such controversy was the supposed pay disparity (which they call the “gender pay gap”) between women’s professional basketball and men’s professional basketball.
The notion of the gender pay gap has been thoroughly debunked in the western world. The original theory was rooted solely on the average pay accrued by all men vs all women and was a statistical misrepresentation of reality. When those numbers are broken down, the fact is that men work longer hours, they work more difficult jobs, more skilled jobs, they take less vacation time and they don’t have babies so they don’t need paternity leave. All of these factors and more add up to a higher average salary for men vs women.
It has everything to do with women’s choices and nothing to do with some nefarious patriarchal conspiracy to hold them back from success.
Because the overall gender pay gap argument has been destroyed and is no longer taken seriously, feminists then tried to search for specific examples of pay disparity in gender segregated professions. Professional sports is one of the few venues in which feminists could present a male vs female one-to-one comparison and say there is a distinct lack of fairness. Except, that argument assumes that male athletes and female athletes perform at the same level. The fact is, they do not.
Women’s game performance and abilities are far behind those of their professional male counterparts. They are two separate universes in terms of entertainment. This is an issue which no one in the mainstream wants to address – The women’s games are mostly terrible to watch.
If it wasn’t for Caitlin Clark, no one would have watched. They only showed up for her games and only tuned in to her team. Even then you can’t watch a whole game because they play Jr. High School Basketball, only not that good.

Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark was named the WNBA Rookie of the Year, the league said on Thursday, receiving 66 of 67 votes from a U.S. panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.
Television viewership records were smashed as sharpshooter Clark beat the all-time collegiate scoring record in her final year at Iowa, turning the sport of basketball on its head.
She kept the momentum going in a breakout debut year in the WNBA, setting the single-season record with 337 assists and the all-time rookie records of 769 points and 122 three pointers made.
Clark helped lead the Fever to their first playoffs appearance since 2016, where they lost 2-0 in the best-of-three first round to the Connecticut Sun.

ICONS gave a copy of the letter to The Daily Signal exclusively after sending it Wednesday.
The letter notes that a biological male at the Rochester Institute of Technology who identifies as female and goes by the name “Sadie Rose” has competed in women’s track events, setting school records in the 200-meter, 300-meter, and 400-meter races. Last month, the Liberty League bestowed the honor of its Women’s Track and Field Performer of the Week on Rose.
“Currently ranked first in the women’s 200-meter and second in the 400-meter for the Liberty League Conference, this male athlete is almost certain to take multiple awards, podium spots, and advancement opportunities from female athletes this weekend,” the ICONS letter warns. “It is your responsibility to stop disregarding the rights of your female athletes and speak up to insist on fair competition.”

Venerable sports magazine Sports Illustrated is suffering a major setback this week after its publisher announced that it was laying off the publication’s entire staff. This comes after a neck-breaking turn toward wokeism and other internal problems over the last few years.
The story was first reported by Front Office Sports which revealed on Friday that Authentic, the licensing group that owns SI, terminated its contract with the magazine’s management, The Arena Group.
Authentic bought the once highly popular sports magazine in 2019 for $110 million from former owners Meredith.
In an email sent to magazine staffers, Arena wrote, “We were notified by Authentic Brands Group (ABG) that the license under which the Arena Group operates the Sports Illustrated (SI) brand and SI related properties has been officially revoked by ABG. As a result of this license revocation, we will be laying off staff that work on the SI brand.”
“Some employees will be terminated immediately,” the statement continued, “and paid in lieu of the applicable notice period under the [the union contract]. Employees with a last working day of today will be contacted by the People team soon. Other employees will be expected to work through the end of the notice period, and will receive additional information shortly.”

Nevertheless, USA Boxing has taken the outrageous decision of allowing men to compete in the female category of amateur and Olympic-style boxing provided they meet various criteria.
In a news release Friday, the organization announced a new transgender policy under which a “boxer who transitions from male to female is eligible to compete in the female category.”
It said the athlete must have completed “gender reassignment surgery,” must undergo quarterly hormone testing for four years after surgery and must fall below a total testosterone threshold.The policy is already receiving criticism from female boxers, who correctly point out that boxing involves intense physical combat as opposed to, say, track and field or soccer

Jordan, on the other hand, wasn’t as friendly, only issuing Edelman one simple message, according to the former player.
“I started talking with Jeter and everything’s good,” Edelman explained. “And as soon as the conversation’s about to end like five minutes in [and] I’m about to leave, Jordan comes up to me and he goes, ‘Hey kid, I got a bunch of money on you. They’ll do the usual dance about pay and resolve it somehow, but in the meantime we won’t be subjected to the woke crap like what Disney has been putting out recently.
It amuses me that the Sound of Freedom is doing well, despite no support from the media or Hollywood. They don’t want decent or honest films going out.
We’ll also have a start up period where nothing is getting made as they have to start writing again and re-opening the movie sets. Then the woke crap will be back on the screens.
I don’t bother with that anymore and barely watch much, only what I can stomach.
Go outside and enjoy the day. Actually do things rather than sit in front of the screen. It’s a lost art. There was nothing on for kids when I was young. We entertained ourselves, played sports or made up stuff to do.
I was watching a video of girls talking about would they date an incel (involuntary celibate guy). They said get your head out of the computer if you want your dick wet. Otherwise they didn’t want anything to do with them.
Maybe the writers will stay on strike so everyone wins.
When we used to have to code talk, we’d say she played softball or soccer. Everyone knew that meant lesbian. Now, we had the worst attended sport of all, the WNBA, of which it is projected as 98% lesbian. Besides being a terrible sport to watch, these players are usually the butch version, not the one’s you’d want to look at. Their before and during Covid attendance didn’t change much it is such a terrible spectator sport.
What was under reported was the sexual preying on the young by coaches and older players. It kind of sucks as Caitlin Clark finally made us want to watch at least her college games. I don’t want to know or have it thrown in my face. She’s worth watching as a player and who she sleeps with has nothing to do on the court. Unless it becomes a political playing card.
What does matter is that these girls are being molested. Were it men, they’d be stringing them up by the balls and putting them in jail. Somehow it is overlooked in girls sports. Maybe if you look at the lack of attendance, it’s because no one cares.
When you are an adult, make your own choices and pay the consequences. That they are hurting kids is another issue.
Believe it or not, there’s a juicy well-kept secret about women’s sports hiding in plain sight that people don’t talk about much. The truth is, women’s sports can be a groomer’s paradise, like some sleazy “Club Med,” where predators are able to roam around and freely target anyone without fear of retribution. However, let’s be clear: we’re not discussing male predators here; rather, the focus is on female groomers.
We’re referring to older female coaches and strong veteran players who are grooming younger female athletes and turning women’s sports into a lesbian-making factory.
While the image of a “lesbian factory” might elicit a chuckle, the prevalence of lesbianism within women’s sports is off the charts. Even the Washington Post can’t ignore it.
Alyssa is dating DeWanna who used to be married to Candice; Jasmine and Natisha are engaged, and Natisha and Courtney used to date. Allie and a different Courtney are married, while Diana married her former teammate, Penny. No, this isn’t an episode about Alice’s chart on “The L Word”: It’s the WNBA, where romances among teammates and league rivals are as expected as a lethal three-point shot.
The Washington Post piece goes on to admit that this a phenomena that only happens in women’s sports. This should be a huge red flag, and it would be if the this tale involved men, like we saw with girls swimming and gymnastics, but because the groomers are women, nobody seems to care. However, that’s a real shame, because once again, vulnerable women are being abused.
So many “Rah-Rah-Rah, My DAUGHTER” Republican Dads are worried about their precious angels being groomed into the transsexual lifestyle on TikTok. Well, maybe ESPN-loving, Bud-Light-swilling fathers should be more worried about their daughters being groomed into lesbians with all the sports and athletic activities they are being pushed into.
But seriously, the feminist movement has been so successful that Republican Dads are more worried about their daughters learning how to swing a golf club or shoot a jump shot than they are worried about their daughters learning how to cook up a mean apple pie—and no one ever talks about this.
One heterosexual former WNBA athlete spoke out on this topic. Candace Wiggins estimates that 98 percent of the women in the WNBA are lesbians—an eyebrow-raising number.
“Me being heterosexual and straight, and being vocal in my identity as a straight woman was huge,” Wiggins said. “I would say 98 percent of the women in the WNBA are gay women. It was a conformist type of place. There was a whole different set of rules they [the other players] could apply.”
According to Wiggins, if you weren’t part of the “Lesbian Club Med,” you paid a price. She describes a damaging culture within the WNBA where she was singled out and bullied for being heterosexual.
“People were deliberately trying to hurt me all of the time. I had never been called the B-word so many times in my life than I was in my rookie season. I’d never been thrown to the ground so much. The message was: ‘We want you to know we don’t like you.’ “
The WNBA plays by different rules. For example, recently, the head coach of the Miami University (Ohio) Redhawks women’s basketball team, DeUnna Hendrix, stepped down from her position after intimate text messages revealed she was having a steamy sexual affair with a much younger player.
An older coach with a young, vulnerable player… imagine the headlines if a male coach was involved with a young female player—he’d be tarred, feathered, branded a pervert, and his life and career would be over. However, Ms. Hendrix will likely face none of that and will shake this off, and go on to be a celebrated lesbian coach, mentor, activist, and trailblazer, blah blah blah.
But it’s not just the WNBA facing these “grooming” questions. Women’s soccer also attracts an absurd number of lesbians.
There’s a couple of major differences between women’s soccer and men’s soccer. One: The U.S. women are good at it. Two, women’s soccer is a hell of a lot gayer.
Yesterday, “content producer” Alex Binley from ITV News published an article about why, exactly, so many dykes excel at this sport. It’s a good question. By Binley’s count, there were at least 41 openly gay players or coaches during the Women’s World Cup this year. The last Men’s Word Cup, in contrast, had a whopping zero. So, what gives?
Liberals will answer that question much differently than the rest of us. Liberals believe the reason for this staggering contrast between men’s and women’s sports is largely due to “homophobia.”
Binley says this is largely due to homophobia. She says that men’s soccer, especially outside of the U.S., is chock full of homophobes (as well as sexists and racists) who would not welcome openly gay male players in the sport.
This is a tiresome, lazy, rubber-stamp response. However, critical thinkers would look at these scenarios and at least entertain the theory that the LGBT ideology contributes to greatly to this grooming mentality and behavior that permeates women’s sports. It’s based around this notion that all girls have some secret underlying “lesbian tendencies,” and that notion then becomes a twisted justification for coaches and players to target vulnerable girls. Perhaps they push this false narrative that a person is depressed because they are not being true to their authentic self, and then use that as a tactic to manipulate and control their victims.
Unfortunately, this is a strategy employed not only by some parents, but also by certain transgender advocacy groups, particularly towards vulnerable and confused children.
The statistics speak for themselves; the disproportionate number of lesbians within women’s sports is not a normal occurrence. This trend indicates a culture of grooming and unhealthy behavior and abuse. It makes you wonder: how many female athletes initially identify as heterosexual, similar to Candace Wiggins, but ultimately succumbed to the bullying and grooming culture within their sport and transition to identifying as lesbian.
We’d love to share those statistics with you, but sadly, they don’t exist because nobody wants to acknowledge that this type of grooming is actually going on. We hope that changes.
We watch sports to distract us from life, politics and the hate that is in the news. The pro athletes now think they are qualified to tell us how to act and think. While they are exceptional in their profession, they play children’s games and get paid handsomely for it. I think the best should be paid the most.
That doesn’t qualify them for anything else though, especially on life, patriotism, politics, morals or everyday living. They waste more money in a month than most of us make in a year. I make those decisions for myself and will bet my IQ against theirs for their paycheck.
So by being political and trying to use their influence, they have alienated those of us that needed that escape and didn’t want a political statement when I felt like being patriotic. All I see is some self-centered people biting the hand that feeds them.
They are burning their bridges, just look at the ratings crater. There are a lot of fans that have moved on. We went through Covid and found out that we have a life other than watching sports players who diss us.
We are constantly being herded like sheep by the media, politicians, celebtards, sports stars, corporations and social media to the pen of group think. Do what we say, not what we do. Buy this and your life will be better. Vote for me and I’ll do anything for you (until I get elected, then my goal is to get re-elected…not help you). It goes on depending on their agenda.
We are born with a conscience. Even Cain knew it was wrong to kill Abel before any law was handed down about murder.
So no matter whether or not you choose follow along like a sheeple, right vs. wrong still exist regardless of what we do to convince ourselves otherwise.
Critical thinking and being strong enough to stand up for what is right is hard when you are pressured to go along to get along. Be strong and don’t be afraid to be right. In the long run it is best. You will also be able to live with yourself instead of second guessing what you should have done.
Actors are people who are famous for being able to imitate and to pretend. This does not qualify them for NASA, Weather Condition determination or basically anything else. They are something to look at, listen to on-screen and forget. Rinse and repeat.
They used to be respected more when they cared for their country, their fans and people in general. Social media, fame and fortune have convinced them that someone actually cares what they think. There have been some who actually contributed to the betterment of the world, but most of them were in the WWII class.
These days, they seem to have a delusion that their opinion on politics, climate change, gender identity, what to eat and anything else would actually matter to someone outside of Hollywood. They are a part of the do as I say, not as I do crowd. In fact they are the president of the club.
TRAIN WRECK
The basic nature of people is that they care about people who think like they do or conversely, are looking for a train wreck. Celebrities and now many sports figures fit into these categories.
People are tired of them pontificating about anything or their pet cause, even if it is noble. Shut up and act and don’t tell us what to do. Most of us who live real lives are smarter and have more common sense.

The overpaid sports stars are now getting into the act by trying to inform us on how we are to act with respect to our personal patriotism. Again, shut up and play the game. They are entertainment for us to distract us from daily life at best. We don’t care about your personal vendetta’s that you thrust upon us because somehow your millions don’t make up for your perceived injustice.
How do I know this? The NFL is now worried about dwindling numbers both at the stadiums and the TV numbers. Go to the link and find one team who can’t even sell out a 27,000 seat stadium.
Some of the athletes think that we care what they think because they can play a kids game.

It’s not as if we’re talking about some of the real heroes in sports of my youth, here. The Lebron James’ of the world did not have to struggle, and in the process, advance the character and quality of American Life by their example, like some of my childhood heroes did. Lebron James is no Hank Aaron, suffering death threats for being good enough to threaten a cherished record, or being a — maybe THE — visible symbol of the pernicious, past influence of racism.
James wouldn’t be judged worthy to hold Muhammad Ali’s jockstrap, on his best day. He certainly couldn’t make you think about a common humanity, couldn’t be a universal symbol of hope, like Ali did and was.
Jim Brown would run Lebron James over and trample him into the dirt, demanding respect. Just respect. James will never have the grace, the quiet dignity, or garner the universal love, of a Gayle Sayers.
In fact, James is most likely the visible symbol of the moral decay and decadence of the Modern Athlete, and symptomatic of the greater trend in society wherein people who obviously couldn’t find their own asses with both hands and a road map consistently have microphones shoved in their faces with an expectation that they will — as if by magic — make some profound statement that will occupy the intellect and nourish the soul.

The net of it is that movie sales are declining, there are fewer attendees in sports and the only people who care about actors are other actors, and I’ll bet they don’t like each other that much either.
