Despite Bowser’s repeated claims that her domestic and international travels are part of economic development efforts, public records raise alarming questions. Bowser’s administration reportedly has no expense filings on record for trips to the Masters Tournament, Las Vegas, Miami, Mar-a-Lago, Dubai, or Doha, even though several of these outings appear to have been paid for by third-party entities, including foreign nations and private organizations, according to 7News.
An American pest-control giant has released its annual ranking of U.S. cities and there’s a connection being made that some politicians won’t like at all.
Orkin released 2024’s Top 50 Rattiest Cities List on Oct. 21, highlighting Chicago for a particular dishonor. This year marks one straight decade of the city’s position at the top of the ranking.
The company explained Chicago, like many big cities, is inherently hospitable to rats.
“Chicago’s abundance of alleys provides rodents with hidden havens, offering plenty of space to hide while feasting on trash,” Orkin’s news release announced.
“Rodents also love to burrow, finding shelter beneath subway tracks or around underground pipes. In these hidden spots, the rodent population can grow if left unchecked.”
While the spotlight is on Chicago, it’s the common denominator uniting the vast majority of the list that deserves the real attention.
Most of the cities on the list are headed by a mayor belonging to the Democratic Party.
Beyond that, many of those at the cities at the top of the list include the progressive “utopias” of San Francisco, California; Seattle, Washington; and Portland, Oregon.
It’s not only Democrats having trouble tackling the rodent scourge.
This is a sign of desperation. When you can’t get blacks to support you and you are black, throwing out programs like Santa Claus won’t work. That was the old-school way of fooling the masses. A prominent black Detroit pastor slammed Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris for “virtue signaling” and “exploiting” his community, saying that “black men are not political infants.”
“We will not allow virtue signaling. We will not allow identity politics. Black men are not political infants,” Pastor Lorenzo Sewell of Detroit’s 180 Church said during an appearance on Fox & Friends, referring to Harris’s recent outreach to black voters. “We know exactly what’s happening with the Democratic Party. We know that they’ve exploited us for over six decades, and we are saying, just like Moses said to Pharaoh, ‘Let my people go.’”
Sewell’s remarks come in response to Harris’s planned interview Tuesday evening with black podcaster and comedian Lenard Larry McKelvey, known professionally as Charlamagne tha God, in Detroit. The interview is part of Harris’s campaign effort to regain support from black men in a key swing state as recent polls indicate her backing is slipping.
“I have never been so offended in my life,” Sewell said. “She’s bringing a man here who is Charlamagne, a false god, to a community that has 4,500 churches, all people of faith. We are extremely offended that she’s bringing a podcaster here to talk to black men about politics.”

One of Labour’s rising stars has jumped to the defense of Chancellor Rachel Reeves for dismissing a wealth tax on the richest people.
Torsten Bell, a former Treasury aide and chief executive of the Resolution Foundation think tank, argues that such a tax wouldn’t raise significant revenues. Despite Ms. Reeves’ highlighting a £22bn hole in public finances, she has shrugged off calls for taxing the nation’s wealthiest.
Supporting the Chancellor’s position, Mr Bell said it was not helpful in the wealth tax debate to compare the UK with the US, as the US has far more billionaires. “On the tax side it is very fashionable on the left to say ‘let’s just have a wealth tax’,” he explained. “For some of us who have spent 20 years working on tax policy, I think that is something that is exciting for them to write in books and not very useful in terms of helping govern the country. There are two reasons why that is.”

Democratic National Committee compliance manager Joyce DeCerce admitted while on a hidden camera that he did not believe Vice President Kamala Harris — his party’s new de facto nominee — could win the 2024 presidential election.
