Many queer and transgender Muslims said they’d felt isolated from traditions that emphasize togetherness, like praying at community mosques, fasting for Ramadan, or performing the Muslim pilgrimage called Hajj.

While over 30 majority-Muslim countries criminalize queerness in some capacity, many Islamic scholars disagree about whether Islam “accepts” queer and transgender people. Each scholar, institution, and government leads with their own interpretation of and perspective on Islam.

Sophia Uppal, a 28-year-old who’s nonbinary, described their relationship with Islam as complicated. Some of Uppal’s favorite childhood memories include waking up early to their mom preparing sehri, or the meal Muslims eat before sunrise to prepare for the day’s fast.

But they said they’d also felt disconnected from Islam for so long because of the expectation to adhere to a heterosexual and cisgender lifestyle. “My mom would dress me up in hijab and clothes that did not feel aligned with me at all,” Uppal said. “Now it’s sometimes a deep trigger when I see gendered Islam forced upon me.”

Both Uppal and Khan look back on their Islamic upbringings and recall feeling pressured to conform to generations of tradition and subjectively interpreted religious texts. At first, these teachings — like the interpretation that if a person was queer or transgender they couldn’t be a Muslim — made Uppal and Khan feel excluded from their communities. But infusing queer and transgender experiences into Islamic tradition has helped Uppal and Khan create new relationships with their Muslim identities.

The ‘Muslim Martin Luther’ Has Been Convicted of Rape

Tariq Ramadan, a Muslim intellectual who has been one of the foremost exponents, at least to non-Muslims in Europe and North America, of Islamic reform, has been convicted of rape.

It is impossible to overstate how shocking this is for those who have praised Ramadan to the skies for so very long. For many years, Tariq Ramadan was the darling of the Western intelligentsia. In 2002, Salon hailed him as “the Muslim Martin Luther.” In 2004, Time Magazine listed him as one of the 100 most influential people in the world today. In 2012, Foreign Policy included him on its list of the top 100 global thinkers “for telling us that Islam and democracy can go together — just when it matters.”

“Virtually anything” is actually an understatement. One of his accusers said he subjected her to “blows to the face and body, forced sodomy, rape with an object and various humiliations, including being dragged by the hair to the bathtub and urinated on.” His sadism appears to have been, if one allegation is true, closely intertwined with his celebrated Islamic piety: another one of his accusers said he told her he was raping her because she didn’t wear a hijab. In a similar vein, as more and more women began to accuse him of rape, one of those accusers has already been beaten and threatened.

Former Cornell University student Patrick Dai, who threatened to perpetrate heinous crimes against members of the school’s Jewish community after Hamas’ Oct. 7 massacre across southern Israel, was sentenced to 21 months in federal prison on Monday, the US Department of Justice announced.

Last October, Dai raised the possibility of antisemitic violence at Cornell when he posted several statements calling for murdering Jews and raping Jewish women on a popular social media forum. In addition to threatening the lives of Cornell’s 3,500 Jewish students, who are 22 percent of the school’s student population, the posts threatened an attack on a campus kosher dining hall — named 104West  — affiliated with the Steven K. And Winifred A. Grinspoon Hillel Center.

“Gonna shoot up 104 west… Allahu akbar! from the river to the sea, palestine will be free! glory to hamas! liberation by any means necessary!” one of his posts said. Another read, “If I see a pig male jew i will stab you and slit your throat. if i see another pig female jew i will drag you away and rape you and throw you off a cliff. if i see another pig baby jew i will behead you in front of your parents [sic].”

The Justice Department said Dai also vowed to “bring an assault rifle to campus and shoot all you pig Jews.”

The Woke Olympics

There could be no single example underscoring what is wrong with the international woke movement than what occurred during the opening ceremonies of the Olympics in Paris, France, on July 26. What happened there was wokeism “run amuck.” It totally ignored two simple rules that should govern human behavior in free societies to nurture fairness and civility.

Let us examine what occurred at the opening ceremonies.

Many observers were shocked to see the famous painting by Leonardo Da Vinci of the Last Supper of Jesus with his 12 apostles grossly mocked, depicted in a scene involving sexualized drag queens. Some advertisers were so repulsed by it – such as Mississippi’s largest telecommunications company C-Spire – that their advertisements were immediately pulled.

While the Olympic Committee issued an apology the next day about the depiction and removed their video of the event from the internet, its statement was somewhat shocking in itself. It claimed the depiction was not intended to “be subversive or shock people or mock people.” As much time as the committee had to prepare for the opening ceremonies and with Catholicism being the world’s largest religion, it is absurd to believe committee members gave no thought as to whether any offense would be taken by the depiction.

One can only imagine the violent fallout that would have resulted had Olympic organizers decided instead to portray the world’s second largest religion – Islam – in such a light by having Prophet Muhammad depicted by a drag queen. Obviously, more thought was given as to why that should not be done, remembering the 12 staff members of the French magazine Charlie Hebdo who were killed in 2015 by Muslims upset about Muhammad’s depiction on its cover.

Why We Can’t Have Peace, And Other Nice Things

This article might be the most controversial and incendiary but most accurate ever written in the last 120 years regarding the Islamic belief system. All I request from our readers is to judge its contents not based on emotions or perceptions but entirely upon its accuracy grounded upon the Islamic scripture and sources.

20% of humanity is Muslim, and 80% is none Muslim. Both Sunnis and Shia Muslims are the enemies of 80% of humanity, whom they call Kuffar/Infidels. Among the 20% of Muslims, 85% are Sunnis and 15% are Shia. Each considers the other Kuffar. Therefore, according to Islam, all of humanity is Kuffar.

Most of the 7 billion of humanity who are not Muslims are either totally ignorant of the contents of Muhammad’s Quran and Sunna (traditions about Muhammad recorded in Hadiths) or in denial of what they are reading and or observing about Islam, especially since most of the Western media is itself ignorant of the facts or – for internal political reasons – deliberately ignore these facts, thus rendering their own peoples vulnerable and ill-informed.

Take, for example, the horrendous case in the United Kingdom, where 1400 Christian girls were subjugated to almost a decade of sexual slavery by Muslim gangs of men. It transpired that the police and social services were aware of this but kept their mouths shut so as not to be accused of racism. They callously allowed 1400 innocent lives to be ruined, just to be politically correct, and not one of them was held to account.

Similar cover-ups occur all over Europe for exactly the same asinine reasons.

It is, after all, a fact that 99% of all acts of terror around the world are committed by hundreds of Muslim terrorist organizations, not by Hindus, Buddhists, Christians, or Jews.

The ignorant Western media repeatedly but erroneously declare that there are extremist, radical, and militant Muslims, when in reality, according to Islam, only Muslims who are fundamentalists and or Sharia-compliant are true Muslims; all the others – extremist, radical, and militant Muslims – exist only in the wild imagination of Westerners.

Muslims are not happy in almost every Muslim country. They are not happy in Yemen, not happy in Syria, not happy in Somalia, not happy in Afghanistan, or Pakistan, or Lebanon, or Iraq, or Nigeria, or Iran, or any other Sharia-compliant dysfunctional Muslim country.

Muslims, on the other hand, are happy in France, happy in Italy, happy in the USA, happy in Germany, in Spain, in Canada, and in every Christian country. Muslims are only happy in the lands of the non-Muslims, lands of the Kuffar, where they have all the freedoms they lack in their Muslim countries as well as get free benefits, education, medicine, and housing, all paid for by Christian taxpayers.

In 2015 saw a Fake Book post by Tim Charlino, a guy I used to ride bikes with that we’d elected Hitler when Trump won. It’s the new Godwin’s Law. It shows people don’t know history as well as they know name calling. Politicians routinely call each other Nazi’s to the point that it doesn’t even have any value.

Hitler killed 6 million Jews, took away their land, property, businesses, lives and dignity. That is the real Nazism.

Hamas attacked Israel on October the 7th and beheaded babies, put them in ovens, raped women and sucker punched over a 1000 people to death. They did it out of hate for Jews. That’s a lot closer to Hitler and Nazism than electing an Alpha Male from New York.

We are going through this antisemitism with Nazi like passion lead by the Muslims. Let’s call a spade a spade.

I have relatives in Denmark. In my last visit, I got a lesson about how the Nordics were better because of Jante’s Law.

Definition:

Jante’s Law describes a set of cultural norms common in Nordic countries emphasizing collective well-being and group accomplishments, and disapproval of touting individual victories. 

The concept of the Law of Jante—Janteloven in Denmark, Jantelagen in Swedish, Jante laki in Finnish and Jantelögin in Icelandic—while it is simply a part of the cultural oxygen that everyone here breathes, was laid out in stark terms in a 1933 book called “A Fugitive Crosses His Tracks” written by Danish-Norwegian author Axel Sandemose.

In it, Sandemose satirically conjectures that Danes are so happy because their highest aspiration is to be average, and he mocks the fictionalized small town people from the village where he grew up.

People with low expectations always achieve them.

EUROPE’S FAVORITE SPORT

Of course we then got into the favorite sport of Europe. Some think it is Soccer/Football, but it really is America bashing. Wherever I go in Europe, that place is always better than in the USA, the food, the culture, the history or whatever. I get told this while they are wearing Levi’s, smoking Marlboro’s and drinking Coke. Because of Jante, life was better there.

When I’d had enough, I pointed out that there was this muslim problem in their country. They call them the new Danes. Those are the one’s not born there. They immigrated, but won’t assimilate, won’t speak the language (or if they do, not properly, the biggest sin to be discriminated against) and suck off the hind teat of social welfare. Since I pointed out the obvious, I got no push back.

I got an earful about gun murders in the US and other problems we had. I was told how guns were outlawed in the Nordics so this wasn’t a problem in the hygge place.

I finally broke and said that human nature is not equal. Some are more naturally gifted intellectually, athletically and with more good or evil in their motivations.

My statement in 2016 was if you take away the guns, they’ll use a bow and arrow. If you take that away, they’ll use a knife. If you take that away, they’ll use a stick. People are not equal and that is behind America’s Exceptionalism. It’s also behind the hate of the attack yesterday.

I’ve never been popular with them, being the only real American they are related to. I decided to not make myself less popular, only because of respect for my wife and ended the conversation.

Within days, this happened in the UK, where guns are banned.

OSLO—Several people were killed and others were injured by a man using a bow and arrows to carry out attacks in the Norwegian town of Kongsberg on Wednesday, local police said.

“The man has been apprehended … from the information we now have, this person carried out these actions alone,” police chief Oeyvind Aas told reporters.

“Several people have been injured and several are dead,” Aas said. He declined to comment on the number of casualties.

The attacker was a radicalized Dane who randomly shot at people. The reason will come out, but won’t be reported in the mainstream media (MSM).

I don’t think this guy was even a New Dane. The story says he was radicalized.

He randomly shot at people.

This is pitiful, as is the handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal that allowed this. Those that hated us then, still hate the US and still want the same thing, destruction of what we stand for and why. Now they have been outfitted to carry out their plans.

The 5 terrorists released from Guantanamo for Bergdahl now are in positions of control in Afghanistan. They have more Blackhawk Helicopters than any country other than the USA. We don’t have anybody on the ground for intelligence so that we can identify and neutralize any terror attacks.

These are the same conditions that set up the 9/11 attacks.

One of my favorite blogs to read is Proof Positive.  I’ve even borrowed some content like a version of the comments rules because it is one of the best.  This re-post is just good because toilet humor is very often funny and this is a good example.

Brigadier General Mark Martins, the chief prosecutor of the Pentagon’s Office of U.S. Military Commissions told Fox News that he “understands the skepticism” about access to evidence, but some still remains classified.

Mohammed’s civilian lawyer, David Nevin, said his client was not responding because he believes the tribunal is unfair. He also suggested Mohammed was not wearing the earphones because it reminded him of being tortured.
