Sanctuary Cities Resorting To Enforcing The Law Because Of Illegals
New York City Mayor Eric Adams said he wants to modify the city’s sanctuary law to allow authorities to turn over illegal immigrants who commit crimes to ICE.
It’s sort of hard to hear him, but from what I could tell, Adams told someone that the law should say that if you commit a felony or violent act, then the authorities should be allowed to hand you over to ICE and be deported.
I wonder if it will happen. Because, you know, no one ever saw what would happen if you became a sanctuary city (sarcasm)!
New York City has received thousands of illegal immigrants from Texas and Arizona, but many have gone there on their own. People at the border have told reporters they had plans to go to NYC, Chicago, Philadelphia, and other blue cities.
The crime has gone up to the point where Adams implemented curfews at migrant shelters.
The curfew has not done much since Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is soft on crime unless it’s supposedly been done by former President Donald Trump. Bragg only requested bail for one of the handful of Venezuelan illegal immigrants who attacked two cops in Times Square. Well, one took part in a robbery, and some are still missing.
Adams even had to reassure Harlem residents that the city wouldn’t use empty luxury apartment buildings to house illegal immigrants.
Let’s not forget the outrage from parents when the city decided to use a Brooklyn school to house illegal immigrants, forcing the students to go remote.

Syphilis Spike was Caused by Open Borders, Not “Underfunding Public Health”
All sorts of mysterious problems keep cropping up. Like a spike in syphilis cases.
According to the report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), syphilis cases increased 17 percent in the past year and 80 percent in the past five years.
With Congress set to cut funding for workers who fight sexually transmitted infections, experts warn the record-setting epidemic isn’t likely to abate.
Syphilis was nearly eradicated in the 1990s in the U.S, but it’s come roaring back largely due to years of underfunding public health, but also because of increasing rates of substance use and the mental health crisis.
Why specifically would there have been a massive spike in the last 5 years? What might have been happening around that time?

Study Shows Immigrants Use More Welfare Than US Citizens
The largest invasion in human history is also the largest looting spree. Among the findings of a report based on data from the 2022 Survey of Income and Program Participation are these:
• The 2022 SIPP indicates that 54 percent of households headed by immigrants — naturalized citizens, legal residents, and illegal immigrants — used one or more major welfare program. This compares to 39 percent for U.S.-born households.
• The rate is 59 percent for non-citizen households (e.g. green card holders and illegal immigrants).
No evidence was found that this is due to fraud.
• Illegal immigrants can receive welfare on behalf of U.S.-born children, and illegal immigrant children can receive school lunch/breakfast and WIC directly. A number of states provide Medicaid to some illegal adults and children, and a few provide SNAP. Several million illegal immigrants also have work authorization (e.g. DACA, TPS, and some asylum applicants) allowing receipt of the EITC.
Even if they work, they still collect welfare, as they do even if they don’t have kids and even if they have education credentials:
• Immigrant households without children, as well as those with high incomes and those headed by immigrants with at least a bachelor’s degree, tend to be more likely to use welfare than their U.S.-born counterparts.
Sometimes Democrats/the media pretend that illegals are prevented from suckling at the teat of the Welfare State; however,
• Most new legal immigrants are barred from most programs, as are illegal immigrants, but this has a modest impact primarily because: 1) Immigrants can receive benefits on behalf of U.S.-born children; 2) the bar does not apply to all programs, nor does it apply to non-citizen children in some cases; 3) most legal immigrants have lived here long enough to qualify for welfare; 4) some states provide welfare to otherwise ineligible immigrants on their own; 5) by naturalizing, immigrants gain full welfare eligibility.
An obvious conclusion is drawn:
Given their welfare use rates, knowledge of government programs is clearly extensive in immigrant communities.

Chicago Offers $9,000 Handouts to Illegal Aliens
By electing quintessential moonbat Brandon Johnson, Chicago set itself on a course for ruin. But until the city collapses completely, at least the illegal aliens imported to displace the native population get lots of free money:
Chicago is giving $9,000 to illegal migrants to assist with temporary housing after already paying out a staggering $ 7.2 million for staffing shelters in just one week.
There could be drawbacks to a self-proclaimed sanctuary city offering extravagant handouts in a country that effectively has no borders:
The city now faces enormous pressure, with over 11,000 migrants in shelters and 4,000 staying in police stations and the O’Hare International Airport.
No worries; the state will step in to pick up the tab:
Now, the state of Illinois is helping cover costs for temporary housing for illegal migrants to free up room in shelters, including $9,000 in housing and rental assistance for six months, Chicago deputy chief of staff Cristina Pacione-Zayas confirmed.
The city has allocated $4 million already to help migrants find temporary housing, while the state contributed a further $38 million.
The left-wing administration of Governor JB Pritzker has proclaimed Illinois “the most welcoming state in the nation” for illegal aliens.
Even a few Americans are making out quite well:
Kansas-based company Favorite Healthcare Staffing billed the city more than $7.2 million to staff migrant shelters for just four weeks…
The invoices covered 400 employees who worked between April 22 to May 19, including one nurse who was paid $20,000 for a single week of work in December. The same nurse made $16,536 for seven days of work in April.
Due to insanely extravagant public sector pensions, the entire state is lurching toward fiscal insolvency. Before long Biden’s handlers will have to put the printing presses into overdrive to bail out Illinois. You will pick up the tab for the looting spree as the value of your savings is deflated.

A Big Reason Why You Are Paying More Taxes This Year,
This isn’t necessary, at least to do it to us this way.
Illegal immigration is costing taxpayers $151 billion every year — a 30% increase since 2017.
“The Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on United States Taxpayers 2023,” a report by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), concludes that taxpayers spend $182 billion annually on illegal immigrants. That number is partially offset by illegal aliens paying $31 billion in taxes. FAIR estimates that tax revenue is collected from 15.5 million illegal aliens — far more than the government’s 11.3 million estimated illegal alien numbers, which are based on population surveys.
The cost to taxpayers supporting 11-15 million people who refused to go through the legal process of crossing the border and applying for a green card that would allow them to work in the U.S. isn’t really the point. It’s the loss of sovereignty. Every other nation on earth is allowed to determine who gets in and who stays out. Why America has to be different in this regard is a mystery.
“As America struggles to meet countless societal needs while facing the realities of our staggering $31 trillion national debt, the costs of providing for millions of people who have no legal right to be in the United States continues to grow at an alarming rate,” FAIR President Dan Stein said in a statement.
Adding $151 billion to a $31 trillion national debt is immaterial. It’s the drain on resources — criminal justice, healthcare, and education — that matters. This is especially true since the costs of illegal immigration varies from state to state.
