‘All Races Struggle’: Chicago Public Schools Hit With Investigation Over Alleged Racial Discrimination

The Department of Education (ED) opened an investigation into Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Tuesday over allegations the district is violating civil rights by hosting programs that discriminate based on race.

The investigation stems from a complaint filed by educational grassroots organization Defending Education (DE) about a “Black Students Success Plan” hosted by CPS which focuses “on remedial measures only for black students, despite acknowledging that Chicago students of all races struggle academically,” according to ED’s press release.

“Chicago Public Schools have a record of academic failure, leaving students from all backgrounds and races struggling and ill-prepared to meet the challenges and enjoy the rewards of contemporary American life,” Craig Trainor, acting assistant secretary for Civil Rights at ED said in a statement. “Rather than address its record honestly, CPS seeks to allocate additional resources to favored students on the basis of race. The Trump-McMahon Department of Education will not allow federal funds, provided for the benefit of all students, to be used in this pernicious and unlawful manner.”

Chicago Offers $9,000 Handouts to Illegal Aliens

By electing quintessential moonbat Brandon Johnson, Chicago set itself on a course for ruin. But until the city collapses completely, at least the illegal aliens imported to displace the native population get lots of free money:

Chicago is giving $9,000 to illegal migrants to assist with temporary housing after already paying out a staggering $ 7.2 million for staffing shelters in just one week.

There could be drawbacks to a self-proclaimed sanctuary city offering extravagant handouts in a country that effectively has no borders:

The city now faces enormous pressure, with over 11,000 migrants in shelters and 4,000 staying in police stations and the O’Hare International Airport.

No worries; the state will step in to pick up the tab:

Now, the state of Illinois is helping cover costs for temporary housing for illegal migrants to free up room in shelters, including $9,000 in housing and rental assistance for six months, Chicago deputy chief of staff Cristina Pacione-Zayas confirmed.

The city has allocated $4 million already to help migrants find temporary housing, while the state contributed a further $38 million.

The left-wing administration of Governor JB Pritzker has proclaimed Illinois “the most welcoming state in the nation” for illegal aliens.

The invoices covered 400 employees who worked between April 22 to May 19, including one nurse who was paid $20,000 for a single week of work in December. The same nurse made $16,536 for seven days of work in April.

Harvard Update: Ousted Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot Will Lower Their Quality By Teaching There

Former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is taking on a new role in education, less than a month after she left office.

Beginning this fall, Lightfoot will teach a course at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health tentatively titled “Health Policy and Leadership,” according to an announcement from the school.

Lightfoot, who left office on May 15 after losing re-election, will serve as the Richard L. and Ronay A. Menschel Senior Leadership Fellow at the school beginning at the end of August.

The Menschel program, according to the school, “offers a rare opportunity for those who have recently served in top-level positions in government, multilateral institutions, nonprofit organizations and journalism to spend time at the school mentoring and teaching students who aspire to similar roles. Lightfoot will hold regular office hours to meet with students, faculty and staff during her time on campus.”

“As mayor, she showed strong leadership in advocating for health, equity, and dignity for every resident of Chicago, from her declaration of structural racism as a public health crisis to her innovative initiative to bring mental health services to libraries and shelters. And of course, she led the city through the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Michelle A. Williams, dean of faculty at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, according to CBS News.

Here is the reality.

She got paid to call everything racist that didn’t go her way, and oversaw the deaths of many hundreds of black people. The city got worse under her tenure and a democrat failed to get elected in place where republicans are extinct.

What is she going to be able to bring to the discussion at Harvard? How to fail? How to mis-govern? How to claim victimhood?
