I’ve Seen More Star Trek Than William Shatner

I, like a lot of Trekkies, have seen almost all of the episodes of the good series. I don’t include Discovery in that and I’m struggling to finish Picard. That includes seeing some episodes double-digit times. I saw The Original Series when it was first aired in the 60’s. Heck, I’ve met him and talked about it.

I maintain that The Wrath of Khan and First Contact are the best movies. They stayed true to the TV series and brought in characters like Khan Noonian Singh.

Well, it turns out that Captain Kirk doesn’t watch it much. Read and weep.

At 93 years old, William Shatner continues to surprise us.

In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 93-year-old actor — who portrayed Capt. James T. Kirk on the original “Star Trek” TV series from 1966 to 1969, and reprised the role in various films — revealed he’s actually only seen a “few” episodes of his work and has “never seen” any of the spinoffs.

“I’m gonna tell you something that nobody knows. I’ve never seen another ‘Star Trek’ and I’ve seen as few ‘Star Treks’ of the show I was on, I’ve seen as few as possible,” he said. “I don’t like to look at myself, and I’ve never seen any other. I love it, I think it’s great. I just don’t, you know, I don’t watch television, per se.”

“I’m watching documentaries, I’m watching the news, I’m watching sports, I’m watching things that were, documentaries that were made, but I don’t watch television for some reason,” he added. “I’ve been urged to watch certain shows by my family, ‘You’ll love this,’ and I just never get around to it.”

In May, while promoting his documentary “You Can Call Me Bill,” Shatner told The Canadian Press it’d be “an intriguing idea” to reprise Captain Kirk today.

“It’s almost impossible, but it was a great role and so well written and if there were a reason to be there, not just to make a cameo appearance, but if there were a genuine reason for the character appearing, I might consider it,” he said.

I Want To Know Why The Celebrities Didn’t Leave When Trump Was Elected Also

Every time someone not communist or from the deep state wins, the celebtards all proclaim how they are leaving if (this time) Trump gets elected. I’ve been wanting them to get the hell out of the country since Jane Fonda and Viet Nam. This is the least educated group of people about history as to our country and why it is great. They are the most privileged and should be the most grateful, yet are the worst haters.

Especially Samuel L. Jackson who said he was going to take his black ass Africa if this MF gets elected, Trump got elected, and Jackson went no where. All talk, no action.

Actually, most people don’t care about the celebtards or even care where they live

Anyway, here goes….

In the heated atmosphere of the 2016 presidential election, several celebrities threatened to leave the United States if Donald Trump became president. Fast forward to today, and many of those same stars are still here, living their best lives. Here’s a look at some of the most prominent figures who didn’t follow through on their promises.

1. Miley Cyrus

The pop sensation Miley Cyrus made headlines with her passionate opposition to Trump. She even took to Instagram to declare she would leave the country if he won. Despite her strong words, Miley remains a fixture in the American entertainment scene.

2. Lena Dunham

3. Whoopi Goldberg

The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg expressed her intent to leave the U.S. should Trump take office. Goldberg remains a staple on American television, offering her opinions on current events daily.

4. Amy Schumer

Comedian Amy Schumer was another celebrity who vowed to leave the country if Trump won. Schumer even specified Spain as her destination. Today, she is still in the U.S., performing and producing comedy specials.

5. Cher

The legendary singer Cher took to Twitter, stating she would move to Jupiter if Trump became president. While a move to the gas giant was clearly hyperbolic, Cher has also stayed in the U.S., continuing her illustrious career.

6. Samuel L. Jackson

Actor Samuel L. Jackson threatened to move to South Africa if Trump was elected. Jackson, known for his roles in countless blockbuster films, remains an active and influential figure in Hollywood.

7. Chelsea Handler

Comedian Chelsea Handler claimed she would move to Spain if Trump won. Although she has traveled extensively, Handler continues to live in the U.S., working on various projects and hosting TV shows.

Despite their bold claims, these celebrities chose to remain in the country, continuing their careers and influencing American culture and politics. It seems the allure of the U.S. is too strong to leave behind.

As the 2024 election approaches, a new list of celebrities has emerged who have threatened to leave the country if Donald Trump is elected again. This list includes stars like Bruce Springsteen, George Clooney, and Barbara Streisand, who have all voiced their intentions to leave if Trump wins. We will see…

Anthony Hopkins On Actors And Their Opinions

“People ask me questions about present situations in life, and I say, “I don’t know, I’m just an actor. I don’t have any opinions. Actors are pretty stupid. My opinion is not worth anything. There’s no controversy for me, so don’t engage me in it, because I’m not going to participate,” said Hopkins.

Keep reading below for more on this subject. He nails it so I don’t have that much to add.

Celebrities Note That Celebrities Are Useless (and why)

If you’ve read this blog for any length of time, it is clear that I loathe celebtards and sports stars who try to tell us how we should act or think. I’ve made it clear that they are people that pretend (a form of lying) and play kids games for money. I hope they make as much as possible and entertain us. I’ll take the distraction from politics any day. That’s where it ends though.

WHAT THEY ARE SAYING ABOUT THEMSELVES NOW

“The Good Place” star Jameela Jamil seems to understand that her presence on the big stage doesn’t make her any more useful to society than autumn leaves. They’re neat to look at but in the end, are mostly useless and leave a big mess.

According to the Daily Wire, Jamil was asked if celebrities missed the mark during COVID-19 and the answer was a pretty enthusiastic yes. Apparently, Jamil says that once “The Good Place” is over she’s going to become a therapist:

Speaking with Angela Scanlon on the “Thanks a Million” podcast, “The Good Place” star noted that celebrities may well have been “exposed” during the COVID-19 pandemic.

After being asked if “celebrities have been exposed,” Jamil replied: “Yeah. F**k ‘em. Just f**k ‘em all. F**k us all. We’re useless.”

“Sorry, no offense, but we’re crap,” she added. “I’ve always thought that we were crap, and so it’s been quite exciting to watch the rise of the people who are actually gonna make a real difference in this world.”

Jamil said that she might leave Hollywood altogether when she turns 40 to become an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist.

“I want to leave TV when I’m 40 entirely and become an EMDR therapist,” she said. “And I might well f***ing do that. I might just go away and just become a therapist.’”

Ryan Reynolds is even funnier and joked in a video, celebrities are right up there with imaginary friends in terms of importance to the pandemic.

Leo DiCaprio and his ilk preach about global warming and then fly on their private jets to their yachts when flocking to the climate summit and emit a carbon footprint the sized of a city. I don’t want to hear hypocrisy.

Disclaimer: I am reading Grateful American by Gary Sinise, and what he does is exceptional for the veterans and those who serve. If more were like that, I and others like me might gain some respect for them as people. There have been others starting with Bob Hope and others who selflessly help others.

This is about the celebtards who believe the spew of the MSM, refuse to think critically and don’t have the proper respect for the fame they earned and how to pay it back or forward.

Great Sayings – George Eliot Talks About Sports Stars, Politicians, Celebtards and Social Media

Blessed is the man, who having nothing to say, abstains from giving wordy evidence of the fact.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t like getting told how and what to think by people who aren’t qualified to do so.  Athletes are paid well to entertain us and distract us from the drudgery of life.

Celebrities pretend to be other people on screen or on stage.  They are paid liars basically.

Politicians, well I guess everyone has their own opinion, but most hold them in low regard.  When I say low, most who are polled have them below used car salesmen.

All of the above get fame, adoration and a lot of money for what they do.  I don’t fault them for making the most of their work, only how much influence they think we care about

Social Media?  It has become the cesspool of the bad side of people.  Sort of an internet road rage.

With that being said, my advice to all of them is to never miss any opportunity to shut up.

More On How Little People Care About the Opinions Of Actors and Hollywood

Let’s face it, actors are people who pretend to be others for money.  A few make it as big stars so good for them.  I hope more are successful.

Many in Hollywood or wherever the pretenders live are separated from the real world.  They have a good education in acting, but seem to lack an understanding of how little their opinion matters.  Many sport that valuable high school degree that is just the stepping stone for the rest of the country.

The number of Instagram followers is not an indication of their influence or education, except to minions of teenyboppers who want their shot at fame.  The meme above talks about politics, but they seem to interject when it is social media acceptable for them to tell us what they think we should do.

The celebtards, as I have seem them referred to want to force their beliefs on the 9-5’ers.  The problem is that those two groups live in different worlds.  Most in the real world understand what it takes to survive in a less privileged life.

At the end of the day, most of us just want to see them ply their trade to entertain us and distract us from our worries and troubles.  We don’t need them to tell us how to think, vote or live our lives.  Stick to acting so we can enjoy it.

I’ve posted before how no one really cares about celebrity opinions.  I thought I’d just revisit it.
