Omar, the first Somali American congresswoman, has a record of advancing a Somalia First agenda while in office, seeming to view her job in Congress as representing the interests of her home country. “While I am in Congress, no one will take Somalia’s sea,” Omar once declared in Somali, according to an English translation. “The lady you sent to Congress is on this, and she is as cognizant of this interest as you are.” Omar, who was addressing her Somali American constituents in response to a dispute over Somalia’s waters, reportedly said, “The U.S. government will do what we ask it to do. We should have this confidence in ourselves as Somalis.”
So it’s no wonder why she went ballistic about USAID’s funding freezing. Through USAID, the United States is the single largest donor of humanitarian aid in Somalia. Since fiscal year 2022, USAID has sent Somalia massive sums of taxpayer money, nearly $2.3 billion to date, including direct cash transfers to Somali families in need, who receive monthly payments and vouchers for a period of time.

The bill was marred by woke climate and environmental requirements that hindered the development of the industry in the U.S. Moreover, necessary actions against leading semiconductor manufacturers, such as Taiwan, were not taken in a timely manner.
The idea behind the CHIPS Act is sound, and we must work on securing our leadership in computer and AI technologies. The new administration is fully aware of this and will take a different approach by imposing various tariffs.
Affordable Connectivity Program
The Broadband Connectivity Act, with its Affordable Connectivity Program, is a $42 billion initiative aimed at improving broadband internet access for households across the country. Initially, the bill had bipartisan support and held great promise for making a better living for many Americans.
Alas, the reality turned out to be completely different. Democrats pushed diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) requirements and failed to establish fast and convenient verification processes for applicants. This predetermined that the initiative would be inefficient. As of January 2025, many communities are reported to face hurdles due to inadequate connectivity.
Inflation Reduction Act
The Inflation Reduction Act, an incredible $1.2 Trillion dollar initiative that pundits dubbed a “last-minute spending spree.” Given the current economic climate marked by high inflation rates, such a surge in spending taxpayer money is not just a controversial move, but a dire threat to the Trump’s administration’s efforts to address issue.
Student Loan Forgiveness

Announced in August 2022, the initiative is aimed to forgive up to $20,000 in federal student loans for eligible borrowers. The program, part of Biden’s campaign promises and often ruled unconstitutional by federal courts and the Supreme Court, was eventually said to disproportionally benefit higher-income individuals who attended college. It cost taxpayers around $316 billion.
Failed Military Foreign Policy
The withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021 marked a pivotal moment in American foreign policy. Some pundits argue the move portrayed the United States under Joe Biden as a weak and militarily incapable nation. In other words, a loser whose opinions and interests might be easily ignored by China or Russia.
The U.S. left behind approximately $7 billion worth of military equipment. It included about 80 helicopters, 600 armored vehicles, and other assets like some 350,000 weapons. The American military presence in Afghanistan provided a vital influence tool in the region as well as served as a remote frontier to combat serious threats like ISIS terrorists far from our borders.
Moreover, almost 20 years of military operations in Afghanistan cost U.S. taxpayers an incredible $2.3 trillion. All the efforts, all the lives of American soldiers given to establish a robust defense against terrorist threat were wasted by the Biden administration.
Joe Biden’s reaction to the war in Ukraine, which broke out in early 2022, has been a heavy burden on the U.S. budget with more than $200 billion worth of military and direct financial aid. The Biden administration clearly underperformed as the White House neither proposed a sustainable victory plan to defeat Putin nor negotiated for peace.
Despite numerous statements from prominent Democrats that Russia must be stopped, the flow of donations in money and materials seemed to have no ultimate purpose and the support was given only because of the argument that something had to be done. Furthermore, Democrats ordered federal and state agencies to make donations, like firefighting equipment provided by California’s First Responders and others.
The apple doesn’t fall too far from the grifting tree. The daughter of 2 of the biggest political criminals in our history is part of the heist of money that was meant for people who really needed it.

Video of the Democrats attempting to convince the visibly uninterested security guard to let them in quickly spread on social media, sparking strong pushback from conservatives.
Waters and other Democrats could be seen on video berating the security guard, repeatedly asking for his ID, and telling him to look at the camera, so viewers could see his face.

The Trump Administration not only cut “environmental justice” programs at the Environmental Protection Agency, they put nearly 200 staffers on leave.
According to reports, the staffers were called into a meeting on Thursday afternoon where they were informed that they were being placed on leave.
“Effective immediately, you are being placed on administrative leave with full pay and benefits. This administrative leave is not being done for any disciplinary purpose,” the email stated, according to Politico.
“Career staff made determinations on which Office of Environmental Justice employees had statutory duties or core mission functions,” EPA spokesperson Molly Vaseliou said in a statement. “As such, 168 staffers were placed on administrative leave as their function did not relate to the agency’s statutory duties or grant work. EPA is in the process of evaluating new structure and organization to ensure we are meeting our mission of protecting human health and the environment for all Americans.”

CBS says it will turn over an unedited transcript of its October interview with Kamala Harris to the Federal Communications Commission, part of President Donald Trump’s ongoing fight with the network over how it handled a story about his opponent.
Trump sued CBS for $10 million over the “60 Minutes” interview, claiming it was deceptively edited to make Harris look good. Published reports said that CBS’ parent company, Paramount, has been talking to Trump’s lawyers about a settlement.
The network said Friday that it was compelled by Brendan Carr, Trump’s appointee as FCC chairman, to turn over the transcripts and camera feeds of the interview for a parallel investigation by the commission. “60 Minutes” has resisted releasing transcripts for this and all of its interviews, to avoid second-guessing of its editing process.
The case, particularly a potential settlement, is being closely watched by advocates for press freedom and by journalists within CBS, whose lawyers called Trump’s lawsuit “completely without merit” and promised to vigorously fight it after it was filed.
The Harris interview initially drew attention because CBS News showed Harris giving completely different responses to a question posed by correspondent Bill Whitaker in clips that were aired on “Face the Nation” on Oct. 6 and the next night on “60 Minutes.” The network said each clip came from a lengthy response by Harris to Whitaker’s question, but they were edited to fit time constraints on both broadcasts.

What was your first Computer?
In college back in the 70’s, I worked with punch cards on some timeshare system that the school had, but I have no idea what it was.
My first real computer was an IBM System 34, in the pre-PC days. We coded in RPG II and even had Star Trek as a game on it. It used 8-inch floppies, had 4K of memory, and maybe a 4 MB hard disk (the memories are hazy from those days).

Carlson explained that the FAA added a biographical questionnaire to the air traffic controller application process, which he said gave more points to would-be controllers who lacked a scientific background or who had been unemployed for the previous three years than they did to licensed pilots.
“In other words, the FAA actively searched for unqualified air traffic controllers. That is insane, and they knew it was insane when they did it, but they did it anyway,” he said.
In an email Carlson said he obtained, the executive who created the biographical questionnaire “admits that the test he devised has nothing to do with finding the best air traffic controllers. If you want good air traffic controllers, find people with experience. That was his advice. The FAA ignored this, and used the biographical screen anyway. … Compared to diversity, your safety meant nothing to them.”

The buzz around “Captain America: Brave New World” had been toxic … until recently.
The sequel finds Anthony Mackie taking over for Chris Evans as the star-spangled Avenger. The film endured high-profile “reshoots” as well as leaked reports of devastating test screenings.
Both gave the impression this “Brave New World” would be a “Marvels”-level dud.
In recent weeks, though, the buzz has died down.
The film’s recent trailer didn’t suffer blowback from Comic Con Nation. The Red Hulk subplot has comic readers intrigued, especially since screen legend Harrison Ford will be bringing him to life.
In fact. some media outlets report the film could earn north of $90 million in its opening weekend. That’s not “Avengers”-sized money but enough to suggest the franchise won’t crash and burn.
Mackie’s new viral gaffe just made everything worse. How much worse? We’ll find out on Feb. 14 when “Brave New World” hits theaters nationwide.
Suffice it to say Disney star Rachel Zegler would be impressed by this PR disaster.
Mackie, a credible star in his own right, had large shoes to fill as is. Evans’ Captain America became a beloved MCU figure, capturing the character’s stoic leadership.
Some fans don’t trust the character swap, thinking it’s Hollywood’s latest woke switcheroo. The shift has precedent in the Marvel Comics’ canon, though, and Evan’s Cap bowed out gracefully in “Avengers: Endgame.”
And then Mackie said this about the film and his iconic character.
“Captain America represents a lot of different things & I don’t think the term ‘America’ should be one of those representations. It’s about a man who keeps his word, who has honor, dignity and integrity.”
The undated clip reminds us of how Warner Bros. treated the Superman reboot. The character’s classic line – “fighting for Truth, Justice and the American Way” got clipped to appease woke sensibilities.
That “update” got shredded on social media and captured the disgust many fans have with the “new” take on classic heroes.

Attempting to do so will breed resentment and thoughts of “well she doesn’t love me for myself, so I need to find a woman who does.” Be worthy of change, but don’t try to force it because it won’t end well for either party.

This time around feels very different. The Women’s March — renamed, without irony, the “People’s March — only attracted around 10,000 last Saturday. On Monday, Donald Trump, after announcing in his second Inaugural address that the U.S. government would only recognize two genders going forward, signed an executive order mere hours after arriving back at the White House. Titled “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism And Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government” is an incredibly comprehensive document that rejects the idea of gender as distinct from sex outright, lays out the correct terminology in great detail, and lists the various ways gender ideology will be eliminated. The first paragraph alone is simply excellent:
Across the country, ideologues who deny the biological reality of sex have increasingly used legal and other socially coercive means to permit men to self-identify as women and gain access to intimate single-sex spaces and activities designed for women, from women’s domestic abuse shelters to women’s workplace showers. This is wrong. Efforts to eradicate the biological reality of sex fundamentally attack women by depriving them of their dignity, safety, and well-being. The erasure of sex in language and policy has a corrosive impact not just on women but on the validity of the entire American system. The backlash has been predictable, but it feels … tired, somehow. Defeated. Perhaps this is because transgender issues hurt the Democrats badly in the 2024 election and likely contributed to Trump’s victory. Perhaps it is because the tech billionaires — Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg — are moving on and no longer enforcing the top-down narrative that was always astro-turfed rather than changed from the grassroots up to begin with. The LGBT movement still owns the entertainment industry and much of academia, true. But Trump’s executive order felt like an endorsement of the prevailing view, and even Democrats seem unsure of what to do about their suddenly inconvenient allies.

For example, he instructed the federal government to investigate private sector DEI initiatives involving the potentially illegal use of race-conscious preferences.
Many of the companies now scrambling to avoid running afoul of anti-discrimination laws—and an administration willing to enforce them—hired prominent law firms to conduct race and diversity “audits,” a practice that ramped up in 2020 following the murder of George Floyd. One of the so-called diversity experts in high demand was corporate lawyer Eric Holder, the controversial former attorney general under Barack Obama.
Starbucks hired Holder, who charges as much as $2,300 an hour for his time, to conduct a “civil rights audit” in 2018. He recommended a series of policy changes to promote “equity” at the company, which implemented many of Holder’s suggestions only to be slapped with a shareholder lawsuit alleging the new policies violated non-discrimination laws. So it comes as no surprise that Trump’s executive orders have caused “fear and confusion” among corporate leaders, according to the New York Times.
Holder, who is also rumored to be panicking as a result of Trump’s action, recently circulated a memo to his corporate clients attempting to assuage their concerns. What were Proctor’s words that Holder found so compelling?
“Blackness is another issue entirely apart from class in America. No matter how affluent, educated and mobile [a black person] becomes, his race defines him more particularly than anything else. Black people have a common cause that requires attending to, and this cause does not allow for the rigid class separation that is the luxury of American whites. There is a sense in which every black man is as far from liberation as the weakest one if his weakness is attributable to racial injustice.”
When asked to explain the passage, Holder replied, “It really says that … I am not the tall U.S. attorney, I am not the thin United States attorney. I am the black United States attorney. And he was saying that no matter how successful you are, there’s a common cause that bonds the black United States attorney with the black criminal or the black doctor with the black homeless person.”
Has anyone ever asked Holder what exactly is the “common cause” that binds the black attorney general and the black criminal? More important, what should the black attorney general do about this common cause? Should the black criminal feel empathy for the black attorney general, or more likely, do the favors only flow in one direction?
Holder’s explanation of Proctor’s quote offers some key insights into our attorney general’s worldview. First, being “more particular” than anything else, skin color limits and defines Americans — in other words, race comes first for Holder.

Just when you thought the postseason couldn’t get any worse for the fans of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Oh, sure, on the field, it’s been great. The Eagles went 14-3 during the regular season and won the NFC East, then coasted through their first playoff game against the Green Bay Packers and outlasted the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, earning a spot in the NFC Championship against division rivals Washington.
However, both of those games came with a bit of viral infamy for Eagles-adjacent non-players. After the Packers game, a rude and abusive Eagles fan who was throwing grotesquely misogynistic slurs became the subject of a social media firestorm, especially when it turned out that he was an employee at a DEI-centric consulting firm. (He later got fired and banned from all future events at Lincoln Financial Field.)
As for the Rams game, just hours before Philly dispatched Los Angeles, the mayor of Philly took the viral center stage for her chant cheering on the Eagles. Or, rather, the Elgses.
Who are the Elgseses? No, not the family four houses down that regifts you a fruitcake every Christmas. It’s the team Democrat Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker apparently thinks she’s cheering for.
“Listen, we gotta do this,” she said, according to WCAU-TV. “Let me hear you all sing!”
Then she began the chant, which … well, if this were a five-year-old, maybe we’d think this was cute:

We regret to inform you that yet another female cop DEI hire who accidentally shot someone has made the news. While this isn’t a new story, it’s getting fresh attention after an appeals court handed down a decision this former police officer won’t be happy about.
The DEI officer, a female who had no business wearing a badge, shot a man in the back during a traffic stop. Without a bodycam or dash cam in her cruiser, she did what any good little lady would do—she lied to cover up her mistake. After all, who’s the public more likely to believe? The female cop or the lowly peasant?
DEI cop Kasha Domingue shot Mr. Dilley in the back as he ran away during that routine traffic stop. Prosecutors revealed she never even attempted to render aid, leaving Dilley to wait nearly eight minutes until another officer finally arrived. Despite the lenient sentence Domingue received, Dilley isn’t fixated on it. He’s more focused on preventing this from happening to anyone else. “I’m cool with that because, I mean, again, I’m going for the bigger picture here,” Dilley said.
This same type of story is playing out again, this time in Florida. A black man was pulled over by cops, and he told them he was carrying a holstered gun. But while the female officer was retrieving the gun, she somehow managed to shoot him.

The lady cop is now under investigation by Internal Affairs.
Internal Affairs began investigating Cardwell after she conducted a traffic stop on a sports utility vehicle that ran a red light Dec. 13 on North Main Street, police say.
Cardwell and two other officers were at the scene, according to police.
Investigators say one of the officers saw the vehicle’s steering column was damaged, leading him to suspect it had been stolen. The officer told driver Jason Arrington to get out of the vehicle after Arrington disclosed that he had a firearm.
“What we’re going to do is, just for my safety and your safety, I’m going to have you step out,” one officer told Arrington, according to the officer’s bodycam video. “We’re just gonna remove the pistol from you, and then we are going to run your license and make sure everything’s good.”
Cardwell tried to remove the gun from a holster tucked inside Arrington’s waistband, but had difficulty, police say.
As she tugged, she unintentionally placed multiple fingers inside the gun’s trigger guard, causing it to fire, police say.
After the gun fired, someone yelled a curse. Arrington was seen beginning to slump against his SUV. He was taken to a hospital.

Trump has often decried Jack Smith, the special counsel who sought to wage two federal cases against him but who has now resigned.

“While we were not able to bring the cases we charged to trial, I believe the fact that our team stood up for the rule of law matters,” he noted.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg brought a case that led to a jury finding Trump guilty of charges of falsifying business records.
Bragg has been one of the targets of Trump’s ire.
On Truth Social, Trump has called him “Soft on Crime Alvin Bragg” and “Corrupt Soros Funded District Attorney, Alvin Bragg.”
Trump has also excoriated Judge Juan Merchan, who was involved in Trump’s New York criminal trial.
For example, Trump has called him “Corrupt, Deeply Conflicted, Democrat Appointed Acting Judge Juan Merchan,” and claimed that the judge was aiming to “RIG the Manhattan Sham ‘Trial.’”
Earlier this month, ahead of Trump’s inauguration as president, Merchan sentenced Trump to an unconditional discharge.

The Georgia Court of Appeals declared Fulton County Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis disqualified from a Trump-related election interference case.
“There is no way such corrupt people can lead a case, and then it gets taken over by somebody else,” Trump told Fox News Digital. “It was a corrupt case, so how could it be taken over by someone else?”

I went out with Tracy for a brief time in my mid-20s. She was the girl that introduced me to the term sport fucking. I thought that was only something guys did, but she didn’t have any problems with it. For her, it was going out, picking a guy and giving him the goods, no strings attached.

How It Started
I met her at Fantasy Fest in Key West. She came as my then roommate Al’s guest for the weekend. They weren’t dating, rather just there for fun and we all stayed in the same house.
There was a girl sunbathing topless on the beach and Al woke up at 1 am later that night to her pleasuring herself while describing the plentiful size of the (then med school) girl’s boobs. I’d seen them on the beach also and they were spectacular. I even talked to said girl during the party on the street and she had a boyfriend or I would have made the move.
I dressed as Dr Strangelove, a gynecologist. I had a metal speculum that I clicked for the girls on the street. About 2 steps past me, every one of them turned around and said, “I know what that is!”. It was a good joke for all.
Al told me they weren’t an item, she was just available and liked to give it up. He had no problems with me getting a piece of the action when we got back home as she wasn’t marriage material. It was satirically funny that her first marriage was to a guy whose last name was Tracy, making her Tracy Tracy.
The Bathroom
I decided to take her to Bennigan’s for dinner. It was dinner and sex and was pretty well agreed on up front by both parties (sport fucking for her). The restaurant was empty as it was a weekday except for us and a party of girls going out after work for dinner and booze. They were loud and I’m guessing about 10 of them at one table drinking margaritas.
As things go, I had to hit the men’s room. When I excused myself, Tracy said let’s go to the girl’s room. At the risk of getting kicked out for untoward behavior, I agreed. I’d been in a girl’s room, but when it was closed off for cleaning. I was young and stupid and it seemed worth the risk.
To my relief, there was no one in there so we walked through the powder room, went into the same stall and both relieved ourselves.
I was a few drinks down so was pretty happy with myself for the bold move, all the while hoping that we’d be soon walking out nonetheless for wear and also not kicked out as we hadn’t eaten yet.
Just about that time, all 10 of the girls from the other table came in. Girls go to the bathroom together. Even Tracy kind of got worried so I stood on the toilet seat while her legs and girls’ shoes were visible below the stall door.
The girls took up every stall and all started going at once. 10 girls peeing together sounded like Niagra Falls. Tracy and I were trying not to laugh at the situation and were just going to wait it out until the crowd left. Then we’d celebrate what we were getting away with. She was a giggler though and I was sure we would be made. I could see my picture in the paper, busted and my burgeoning career derailed for unbecoming behavior.
Instead of just heading back to the table, the girls assembled in the powder room to fix their makeup. Girls going to the bathroom together can take forever and never shut up. They made a lot of noise yapping about a lot of things they would have wished I didn’t hear about.
Finally, it seemed like the coast was clear and we agreed to walk out and try to make it back to our table instead of the back of a police car.
Thinking they were all gone and back at their table, we decided to make our break.
I decided that if I was going to be arrested, I was going to do it in style, so I walked out of the stall as if I owned the joint. In passing through the powder room, there were still a couple of stragglers and I got the look of a nice Sunday surprise. I made eye contact with one of them and her mouth dropped open.
As it turned out, we had to walk by their table to get to ours and at least 7 were sitting down, but knew what happened in there. Their table faced the women’s restroom and they saw me come out after they were done. I walked right past them and grinned and even caught a couple of laughs from their table. Their margaritas had taken their effect, fortunately.
Our dinner came out and we ate and left, albeit faster than we normally would have. It was somewhere between not wanting to see a cop car and wanting to get back to her apartment for some sport fucking.
At the end of the day, I don’t think anyone really gave a shit. The other girls had a story to tell, it got Tracy all excited, which worked for my libido and I got stuck in a girl’s bathroom for 15 minutes with 10 other women.
We didn’t last long being a couple as I was in a time of life when girls regularly came in and out of it. Neither of us cared. We didn’t have any feelings for each other (besides some youthful lust) and I even went back for seconds on several booty calls.

Antifa militants targeted an ICE detention center in Portland, Oregon, on Monday night, just hours after President Donald Trump was sworn into office. The incident was in retaliation to the Trump administration’s mass deportation operations and crackdown on illegal immigration. No arrests were made and the far-left extremist group vowed to carry out more acts of violence against federal immigration officials and facilities, according to social media posts.
Video footage posted to X, formerly Twitter, shows a group of roughly 15 Antifa militants dressed in black bloc riot gear igniting fires and squaring off with federal law enforcement outside the ICE detention center located at 4310 S Macadam Road in Portland. The clip was filmed by an anarchist and uploaded to X under the username @comradecamera at 11:08 pm.
According to the video, Antifa militants encircled officers as they attempted to extinguish one of the fires, with a few of them utilizing megaphones to issue threats and harassment. “I’m so glad you signed up for this,” one Antifa member could be heard yelling, mocking authorities.

According to reports from 2019 and 2020, not only was the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power precluded from undertaking a bulldozing project in Topanga State Park due to danger toward the Braunton’s milk vetch, but the city also had to pay nearly $2 million in fines for even starting the project.
In an August 2019 article, the Los Angeles Times reported that the LADWP had intended to bulldoze an area in the park and replace flammable wooden poles with steel ones.

We’re also using innovative construction techniques and building materials to make our fulfillment centers, data centers, offices, and physical retail locations more sustainable.”

“I told the governor and local officials, spare no expense to do what they need to do and contain these fires,” he said during remarks at the White House, calling the fires “devastating” and “catastrophic.”
“We’re doing literally everything we can at a federal level,” he added.

A fire at the world’s largest battery storage plant in Northern California smoldered Friday after sending plumes of toxic smoke into the atmosphere, leading to the evacuation of up to 1,500 people. The blaze also shook up the young battery storage industry.
The fire at the Vistra Energy lithium battery plant in Moss Landing generated huge flames and significant amounts of smoke Thursday but had diminished significantly by Friday, Fire Chief Joel Mendoza of the North County Fire Protection District of Monterey County said. Vistra is based in Texas.
“There’s very little, if any, of a plume emitting from that building,” Mendoza said. Crews are not engaging with the fire and are waiting for it to burn out, he said. Letting lithium ion battery fires burn out is not unusual because they burn very hot and are hard to put out.
No injuries have been reported but residents raised concerns about hazardous gases being released into the air.
The state’s record-breaking 2020 fire season, which saw more than 4 million acres burn, spewed almost twice the tonnage of greenhouse gases as the total amount of carbon dioxide reductions made since 2003, according to a study published recently in the journal Environmental Pollution.
Researchers estimated that about 127 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent were released by the fires, compared with about 65 million metric tons of reductions achieved in the previous 18 years.
“When we look at the contribution of the 2020 wildfires, it becomes almost like a new sector of emissions in the economy,” said Michael Jerrett, a professor of environmental health sciences at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and a lead author of the research. “Really, we’re about double the reductions.”

Olbermann was responding to host of “Last Week on X” Angela Belcamino who screenshotted a post by University of Missouri Professor Karen Piper who relished in actor James Woods losing his home.
Belcamino put out a call to “Be better,” seeing Piper’s despicable post as something that shouldn’t be the norm when people are having their lives destroyed.
Olbermann couldn’t resist chiming in.
Clearly loving that Woods lost his home, Olbermann proceeded to take a swipe at his acting career for Woods’ role in the 1992 film “Citizen Cohn” where Woods played Roy Cohn, chief counsel to former Wisconsin Republican Sen. Joseph McCarthy.

Former first lady Michelle Obama is set to snub President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration next Monday after skipping former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral last week — where she would have sat next to the one and future commander-in-chief.
“Former President Barack Obama is confirmed to attend the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies. Former first lady Michelle Obama will not attend the upcoming inauguration,” the Office of Barack and Michelle Obama said in a statement to the Associated Press.
The former first lady’s team did not provide a reason for skipping the inauguration, but Michelle Obama, 60, has been an impassioned critic of Trump, 78, over the past eight years.
Her husband, former President Barack Obama, sat next to Trump at the funeral and was spotted on camera laughing and bantering with his successor, drawing worldwide headlines.
All other former presidents and their spouses are expected to attend the Jan. 20 inauguration ceremony, including George W. and Laura Bush, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and Joe and Jill Biden.

Kamala Harris’ refusal to allow J.D. Vance an opportunity to check out the vice president’s residence further exposes the mainstream media’s inability “to hold Democrats to the same standard they hold Republicans,” according to former Ambassador Ric Grenell.
It was reported Tuesday that Harris has refused to extend an invitation to Vance for a sit-down or tour of the Naval Observatory, in which the Ohio senator and his family will live after Monday’s inauguration.
Grenell, who served as ambassador to Germany and acting director of national intelligence in the first Trump administration, took to social media to express his thoughts about the snub.
“Shameful DC coverup,” Grenell posted Tuesday morning on X. “Kamala has refused requests for JD and Usha Vance to see the VP residence and working spaces – while claiming that she’s focused on a peaceful transition.
“The media’s inability to hold Democrats to the same standard they hold Republicans is a fact the American people see clearly.”
Newsmax attempted to call the vice president’s press office multiple times for comment but it was “unavailable.”
CBS News reported that Vance’s wife, Usha, had her team reach out in November seeking details about how the house suited children. The Vances have three young kids. The inquiry initially was rebuffed by a Harris political appointee, CBS News reported.

In a major sign of where things are headed in the coming months, Facebook/Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced that the company is dropping its current DEI policies.
People are interpreting this as an indication of how things are changing now that a second Trump administration is about to take power and that is probably correct.

Meta and Amazon reportedly killed their DEI programs in recent days – moves that come as both Big Tech giants attempt to cozy up to President-elect Donald Trump.
On Friday, Meta – the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and Threads – said it will no longer take the controversial Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policies into consideration before hiring, training and picking suppliers, Axios reported.
According to a memo sent by Janelle Gale, vice president of human resources, she said the company is pivoting away from DEI because the “legal and policy landscape surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in the United States is changing.”
A Meta spokesperson reached by The Post confirmed the memo, which was first obtained by Axios.
Meta’s about-face came just days after CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that his company would scrap censoring free speech on its popular social media platforms.
Both Zuckerberg and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos have recently met with Trump as part of an ongoing thaw in once-frosty relations between the Republican and the tech industry.
Zuckerberg appears to be serious about this and has even removed the tampons from the men’s rooms.

Greenland’s Prime Minister Now Says Open To Talks With Trump: ‘Status Quo No Longer an Option’
We are continuing to watch the developments related to Greenland, which have gotten especially interesting after President-elect Donald Trump tasked his pick for Ambassador to Denmark with persuading the Danes to sell us the resource-rich Arctic land.
Shortly after that announcement, Greenland suffered a major power outage due to a downed transmission line. The blackout plunged the region into darkness as temperatures dropped below -27 degrees Fahrenheit (-33°C).
This was soon followed by Greenland’s Prime Minister Mute Egede calling for independence from Denmark, marking a significant shift in the rhetoric surrounding the Arctic island’s future.
Trump’s son later went on an “unofficial” visit to Greenland. At that time, I speculated that persuading the people of Greenland to become an independent territory of the United States might be the best deal that could be placed on the table.
Intriguingly, Egede recently had a joint press conference with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen during which he said that he’s ready to speak with Trump as ‘the status quo is no longer an option‘.
My wife’s Danish relatives, to whom I’ve had to associate in the last 3 decades of marriage finally can’t hide their contempt for Trump and the USA any longer.
In dealing with them and many Europeans throughout my business career, it’s clear that trashing the US is their favorite sport (not football/soccer). They keep trying to re-make America by their rules, rather than accept the history of a country that has surpassed centuries of European culture.
A point of note is that while they are trashing America, they are wearing Levis or Carhartt, smoking Marlboro cigarettes, and regularly vacationing in America all while bitching that it isn’t Danish enough. They love shopping here because it is so much cheaper because of their 70% tax rate which pays for their “FREE” education and healthcare (that is just above malpractice)
The press coverage and the feedback I get is that the Danes are livid that Trump wants Greenland.

My wife also has a brother who lives in Greenland and the natives there hate Denmark owning them, but subsist off of the money that Denmark pours into them yearly. They’d rather be Greenlandish and free but realize they get a heck of a lot more from the US than they would Denmark, given the economic difference.

Back to my wife’s relatives, the Danes hate Trump. He is as atypical of how the Danes think they think (Janteloven) as possible. They are as averous as any other group despite what they claim. She’s got nephews who brag about the price of everything they bought and the status of the item. With Trump, They can’t handle the thought of an alpha male actually being successful and achieving more than others because of hard work and outsmarting others (like my wife’s relatives). Mostly, he’s not a socialist like a lot of thinking in Denmark so they can’t grasp it so they use the “typical American” and hate him. They actually don’t know why other than their press has told them to.
I had to cut them off from social media for the childish trashing of him for the last 8 years. I haven’t missed anything though other than them being the compass for what is wrong by going against everything they think is right (Warren/Pocahantis, Biden, Kamala, Obama, Obamacare, and the list goes on). So Trump lives rent free in their heads now as they seethe every time he wins (and wins again).

A new survey found that a majority of Greenland respondents support joining the United States.
According to a poll by Patriot Polling released Sunday, 57.3 percent of respondents approve of Greenland becoming part of the U.S. Just 37.4 percent disapproved of the potential acquisition, and 5.3 percent are undecided about the move.
President-elect Trump has in recent days floated the idea of acquiring Greenland, a Danish territory. He said owning Greenland is an “absolute necessity.”
While the survey only polled 416 people in Greenland and is the first of its kind, it signals support for Trump’s larger international plans.
I think Trump just wants a bigger military footprint and access to rare earth minerals (and petroleum). He is a master of negotiations and everyone should be happy in the end, except my Wife’s family, but I don’t care what they think. Former CNN political analyst Chris Cillizza expressed remorse Thursday for failing to properly investigate President Joe Biden’s mental and physical health during his tenure at the network. Cillizza’s comments come as new revelations emerge about the Biden administration’s alleged efforts to conceal the president’s declining condition.
Cillizza admitted that his coverage of Biden during the president’s first term fell short. Speaking openly on X (formerly Twitter), he detailed how he had brushed aside concerns about Biden’s mental acuity, particularly as Republicans and voters raised questions leading up to the 2020 election and beyond.
“As a reporter, I have a confession to make,” Cillizza said. “I should have pushed harder, earlier, for more information about Joe Biden’s mental and physical well-being and any signs of decline. So let me explain. Joe Biden was president from 2020 to 2024. I worked at CNN, 2020 to 2022. People would regularly—Republicans would regularly ping me and say, ‘Why don’t you ask more questions of Joe Biden and how he’s doing?’ He’s 76, 77, 78 years old. And I would sort of brush them off.”
Cillizza went on to say that after his departure from CNN in 2022, he began to view Biden’s age and fitness for office with greater scrutiny. “Once I left CNN, and once it became a little bit more clear to me about Biden’s age, I think I did write pretty regularly and talk pretty regularly about how I wasn’t sure that this guy was up to it,” Cillizza said.
