Microsoft sparked internal revolt after it fired its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) team, leading the program’s leader to slam the company’s ‘changing business needs.’ 

The tech giant’s move was exposed in an email obtained by Business Insider, which appears to show the DEI internal team leader criticizing the fact diversity was ‘no longer business critical.’

Microsoft joins a number of tech companies in walking back DEI commitments that were made in the wake of the Black Lives Matter protests in 2020, including Google, Meta and Zoom.

As Farmers Revolt, John Deere Ditches DEI Policies

Facing conservative backlash and a farmer-led boycott, John Deere ditched its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies, the Daily Mail reported.

The $61 billion-a-year company announced it would abandon DEI hallmarks such as: “socially motivated messaging,” “diversity quotas,” and “pronoun identification” while also distancing itself from “cultural awareness parades.”

This decision follows criticism for sponsoring a Pride event for children as young as 3 amid ongoing plant closures and layoffs in the U.S., the Daily Mail reported.

“Our customers’ trust and confidence in us are of the utmost importance to everyone at John Deere,” the company stated on X. “We fully intend to earn it every day and in every way we can.”

Critics particularly targeted John Deere’s support of the Little Rainbow Run at Des Moines’ Capital City Pride event, involving toddlers in LGBTQ+ festivities. The company’s adoption of new-wave gender ideology, including staff training on the “genderbread person,” further fueled the controversy.

This reversal mirrors similar boycotts against Tractor Supply and Bud Light, which faced conservative backlash for a partnership with a trans influencer, resulting in significant sales losses. Supporters of DEI argue these efforts promote the inclusion of women and minority talent, while critics view them as counterproductive and unfair to straight, white men.

MILWAUKEE — President Biden repeatedly scolded NBC anchor Lester Holt in an interview Monday — exclaiming at one point, “What’s with you guys? Come on, man!” — as he defended his criticism of Donald Trump despite calling on Americans to “lower the temperature” after the assassination attempt on the former president Saturday.

The 81-year-old president lashed out when Holt pressed him on his disastrous June 27 debate performance and bristled when the journalist asked him about former Trump’s running mate J.D. Vance.

“Are you seeing what [viewers] saw, which was moments of frankly, that appeared to be — you appeared to be confused?” Holt asked the president.

Later, Biden raised the fact that Vance, an Ohio Republican senator, had criticized Trump in 2016.

“Well, he said something about you,” Holt replied.

“He said some things about me, but see what he said about Trump. What’s up with you guys? Come on, man,” Biden chided.

At one point in the interview, Holt challenged the president when he launched into an extended criticism of Trump — despite using a rare Oval Office address Sunday night to call on Americans to “lower the temperature” following the Trump assassination attempt.

“This doesn’t sound like you’re turning down the heat though,” Holt said.

How exactly did Kimberly Cheatle rise the lead the United States Secret Service? A new report points the finger at Jill Biden, stating that she and her top advisor pushed for the appointment. 

That decision culminated in an attempted assassination of Donald Trump on Saturday. The former president was shot in the ear, narrowly avoiding death while a chaotic and clumsy response from the Secret Service followed. It was a disastrous event for an agency with a zero-fail mission.

…Four sources close to President Biden’s family, including people who interacted with Cheatle during the Obama-Biden administration, said she was well liked by the future first lady and her most senior aides, including top adviser Anthony Bernal.

“Cheatle served on Dr. Biden’s second lady detail and Anthony pushed for her,” a Democratic insider told The Post. “Anthony has no national security or law enforcement experience. He should have no influence over the selection of the USSS director.”

“I heard at the time she was being considered for director that Anthony had pushed her forward as an option,” another well-placed source told The Post.

This news will no doubt stir further controversy given past reports that Secret Service members were pulled off Trump’s detail to bolster a Jill Biden appearance in Pennsylvania on the same day. It’s also emblematic of the Biden administration’s larger failures. Cheatle is a strong supporter of DEI, having pledged for the Secret Service to be 30 percent female by 2030 as part of a “diversity” push. Unmentioned was why someone’s sex is more important than simply hiring the most capable people available, and that includes physical stature given the job at hand.

Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson told Republicans gathering in Milwaukee on Monday that Americans should “be thrilled” by Donald Trump’s vice presidential pick. 

Earlier in the day, as the Republican National Convention opened, Trump posted on social media that he had chosen Sen. JD Vance, an Ohio Republican, as his running mate in the Nov. 5 election.

“So now JD Vance is the VP pick, and I think every person who pays close attention has got to be thrilled by that,” Carlson said in a speech to convention delegates. 

“And if you don’t know much about JD Vance, I’m not even going to make a case for [him],” the former Fox News host said. 

Vance, 39, became a celebrity after writing the bestselling “Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of Family and Culture in Crisis,” published in 2016. A venture capitalist, Vance initially opposed Trump but admired his presidency; he won election to the Senate in 2022 with Trump’s endorsement. 

“I’m going to tell you what I just saw, which is that every bad person I’ve ever met in a lifetime in Washington was aligned against JD Vance,” Carlson quipped to the convention audience, referring to recent speculation by liberal media outlets and others that Trump would pick the conservative Ohio senator. 

Carlson said Vance’s enemies are establishment politicians who support U.S. involvement in “pointless wars.”

“Every single one of those people, in a line that would extend from Milwaukee to Chicago, was lined up over the last week to knife JD Vance,” Carlson told the RNC audience.

Police have arrested and now charged two women, Tiffany Taylor Gray and Audrey Miller, for the April murder of Fasil Teklemariam, a 53-year-old man from Washington, D.C., who was hit over the head, stabbed repeatedly and then had his thumb cut off and allegedly used by his killers to access his accounts and spend his money on Uber ride-shares, marijuana and alcohol.

Gray, 22, a resident of Prince George’s County, Maryland, was arrested on July 1 and charged with first-degree murder and armed felony murder. She is currently being detained in Maryland and is expected to be extradited to Washington, D.C., to face the charges.

Publicly available court records show Miller, 19, was arrested on June 21 for first-degree murder and armed felony murder as well. Though a preliminary hearing was scheduled for Miller on Tuesday, court records show it was vacated and rescheduled for July 30. She is being detained in Washington, D.C.

This goes like the line, how do I love you, let me count the ways. The list is endless and sometimes I feel like Clint Eastwood with, get off my lawn.

Rather than make a list, I’ll stick to my introverted life and go with small talk. Introverts have a low tolerance for conversation that isn’t meaningful or that isn’t going anywhere. When you are young, you might put up with it for a longer time or if there is a worthwhile reward (employment, sex, etc.). That reward is less as you move on in life.

Conversely, I love deep and engaging conversation, that is intellectually stimulating. Even then, there is a time limit and I need to recover.

I’ve learned to say yes, good, right, fine, good point, and anything that could end the conversation and not leave it open-ended.

Nothing is better for me than when plans are cancelled for an event. The minute I agree to do something I’m somewhat on the edge about, the regret begins. I bet I burn up as much of my social battery dreading going to these events as being there. Hell, I’m burnt out before I even go if I realize it’s a big mistake or someone says there will be a lot of people there.

In fact, if you want to give your introverted friend the gift they want the most, give them cancelled plans. It’s one of our favorites. Heck, call them up and say that the plans you had to go out together are cancelled, even if you didn’t make any. That’s how good of a gift it is.

Avoid Crowds And Stress, And Don’t Rush Around

What strategies do you use to increase comfort in your daily life?

Yes, it’s Introvert time again. I am more comfortable alone than I am among a lot of people. While it’s possible to be alone in a crowd (introvert strategy here), it still comes with stress.

I also hate deadlines and the stress that comes with making it. I try to get stuff done well in advance so I don’t have to deal with it at crunch time.

Oh, and avoid family reunions as much and as often as possible.

I’m sure others have much better strategies to increase their comfort, but here’s my .02.

McDonald’s McPlant Sandwich Face McPlants – Fails Spectacularly

People vote with their money. The vegetarian weenies didn’t like McDonald’s to begin with and those who do go would never go for a sandwich that tastes like McShit.

The iconic hamburger chain McDonald’s thought it might try to appease the anti-meat forces by experimenting with McPlant. The result was a spectacular failure.

McDonald’s declared that its experiment with plant-based burgers was a disaster.

Joe Erlinger, who heads US operations for the Chicago-based fast food giant, told a business conference that the company discontinued the pilot program after customers in San Francisco and Dallas-Fort Worth panned the McPlant.

The McPlant “was not successful in either market,” Erlinger told the Wall Street Journal’s Global Fast Food Forum in Chicago on Wednesday.

“I don’t think the US consumer is coming to McDonald’s or looking for McPlant or other plant-based proteins from McDonald’s now.”

The McPlant was test-marketed in San Francisco. If a plant-based burger can’t succeed in this super-woke city, it is doomed.

Speaking at the WSJ Global Food Forum, Erlinger said he had “asked the team to test the McPlant in two very different markets, and they chose San Francisco and Dallas.”

McDonald’s kicked off testing of the plant-based burger in the two cities in February 2022 and concluded it after a limited time. It involved about 600 restaurants in total.

“It was not successful in either market,” the McDonald’s USA president said at the forum. “So, I don’t think the U.S. consumer is coming to McDonald’s or looking for a McPlant or other plant-based proteins from McDonald’s now.”

I’m not surprised that it did better in Europe, but I would expect that and that’s nothing to be proud of.

“What Jeffrey Katzenberg has done here is unbelievable,” said one Hollywood power broker, donor and influential Democrat who declined to be identified. “Jeffrey lied about the whole Biden thing. The whole Biden inner circle lied… It’s such an act of hypocrisy.” 

“Everyone is furious,” said a leading Hollywood Democratic insider. “People are pissed – they feel betrayed.” 

They feel betrayed, certainly, because as an elder statesman of the Hollywood community, Katzenberg has personally vouched for Biden’s mental and physical capacity despite concerns voiced early on by donors about the president’s age. 

Indeed, a glowing New York Times profile of the entertainment mogul barely two weeks ago opened on this very issue: 

“When President Biden made clear last year that he was planning to run for another term, some important Democratic contributors expressed doubt. He was too old, they feared. He was not up to another four years. It fell to Jeffrey Katzenberg to tell them they were wrong,” wrote Peter Baker. 

The article continued: “When some still did not believe him, Mr. Katzenberg challenged them to come to Washington and find out for themselves — then arranged to bring the dubious donors to the White House to sit down with the octogenarian president to convince them he was still sharp enough.”

Man, I hope there will be more, but not at the rate the politics on the left have been destroying what made us great.

Here’s a trivia question for you. The Statue of Liberty holds a torch in one hand. What is she holding in the other? It looks like a book, in tablet form.

The answer is the Declaration of Independence, since the tablet is engraved with July 4, 1776 – in Roman numerals.

The great British writer, G.K. Chesterton, once said, “America is the only nation in the world that is founded on a creed. That creed is set forth with dogmatic and even theological lucidity in the Declaration of Independence.”

Nearly 250 years ago, 56 men, representing some three million British colonists voted to approve the final wording of that revolutionary document. If they failed in their bid for independence, these men were voting for their own death.

A month earlier, in June, the Continental Congress voted to approve declaring independence from Great Britain, and a committee was formed to write the document. Thomas Jefferson served on that committee and became the chief author. The bulk of what he wrote was accepted, with several alterations.

On July 4, 1776, Congress voted to accept by voice vote the final wording of the now-modified Declaration of Independence. John Adams said about our national birth certificate: “I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.” (“Illuminations” is another way of saying fireworks.)

What makes the Declaration so revolutionary? Above all, it says that our rights come from God.
John F. Kennedy expressed it so well in his inaugural address in 1961, “…the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe – the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God.”

As Chesterton noted of the Declaration of Independence, “It enunciates that all men are equal in their claim to justice, that governments exist to give them that justice, and that their authority is for that reason just. It certainly does condemn anarchism, and it does also by inference condemn atheism, since it clearly names the Creator as the ultimate authority from whom these equal rights are derived.”

In that sense, America is and always will be one nation under God. Unless we were somehow to be cut off from the Declaration, in which case, we would no longer be America.

The essence of Americanism is God-given rights to “We the people.” For all our flaws, for all the ugly chapters in our history, for all the mistreatment of the Indians and of blacks as slaves and then as second-class citizens, God-given rights are the foundation for our past, present, and future. As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. put it, the problem with America is not our creed (as seen in the Declaration) but in our failure to live up to that creed.

I’m reminded of that musical prayer in the hymn, “America the Beautiful”: “America! America! God, mend thine every flaw, Confirm thy soul in self-control, Thy liberty in law!”

Soon after the July 4 voice vote to adopt the final wording of the Declaration of Independence, the 56 men of the Continental Congress began the process of signing the revolutionary document, for which the Delegates had to make their way back to Philadelphia – during war time. The final signature was not affixed until January 1777.

When John Hancock, the president of that assembly, signed it, he deliberately put his “John Hancock” on the form in a way that was so large that King George III could read it without his spectacles. When Ben Franklin signed it, he declared, “We must hang together or most assuredly we shall hang separately.”

We forget sometimes just how impossible the situation must have looked. A betting man at that time could easily have felt that the odds were that the British would squash the rebellion in their American colonies. In little time.

No wonder, during and after the war, George Washington said repeatedly how grateful he was to God for our incredible victory. In his first inaugural address, our first president said, “No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the Invisible Hand which conducts the affairs of men more than those of the United States. Every step by which they have advanced to the character of an independent nation seems to have been distinguished by some token of providential agency.”

Happy 248th birthday to America. May God help us not to squander such freedoms, nor let them sift through our fingers.

Tech Companies Going For Nuclear Powered AI

Now there will be less electricity for cars and other things that shouldn’t be electrified. For the rest of us, we’ll just get a bigger power bill for our houses.

Tech companies are increasingly looking to nuclear energy to meet their evolving power needs, potentially at the expense of grid reliability and ordinary American ratepayers, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The owners of about one in every three American nuclear plants are negotiating with technology firms to reach deals in which the plants would sell tech companies nuclear-generated electricity to operate their power-hungry data centers, key infrastructure that the tech firms need to support the artificial intelligence (AI) boom, according to the WSJ. The trend could divert reliable energy generation away from the rest of the power grid at a time when grid watchdogs are warning of longer-term reliability problems as electricity demand is expected to grow rapidly in the coming years due to the proliferation of data centers, electric vehicles (EVs), advanced manufacturing facilities and more.

For example, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is close to reaching an agreement with Constellation Energy to buy electricity from an East Coast nuclear plant, and AWS also spent $650 million on a nuclear-powered data center in Pennsylvania earlier this year, according to the WSJ. The Pennsylvania data center can receive enough electricity to keep the lights on in hundreds of thousands of households, and its purchase spurred tech sector interest in similar deals that allow companies to buy power directly from plants without needing to spend much on additional grid infrastructure to access that electricity.

Data centers may end up accounting for as much as 9% of all power consumption in America by 2030, according to the WSJ, and some officials — such as Pennsylvania Consumer Advocate Patrick Cicero — are concerned that the tech sector’s union with nuclear energy could hurt ordinary consumers by driving up prices and commanding a large share of the nation’s reliable carbon-free power.

68% of Democrats said Biden is ‘great’ president

So 68% are either uniformed, lying or just not very smart.

Before the disastrous June 27 debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, more voters said they agree with a negative message about Trump than with a positive message about Biden.

That’s according to Rasmussen Reports.

The survey found that 45% of likely voters said they agree that Trump is a threat to American democracy, including 35% who said they “strongly agree.”

Fifty-percent (50%) said they disagree with that message, including 42% who said they “strongly disagree.”

Biden’s senior aide Mike Donilon has said: “Joe Biden is a great president, and great presidents get re-elected.” 

Thirty-nine percent (39%) of voters said they agree with that message, including 19% who say they “strongly agree.”

Fifty-nine percent (59%) said they disagree, including 48% who said they “strongly disagree.”

Major Democrat donors remain adamant President Joe Biden must step aside as the party’s presidential nominee following his disastrous debate performance against former President Donald Trump.

While Biden’s family members and most avid supporters are pitching that the president just had a bad night in Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday, many Democrats are concerned about the 81-year-old chief executive’s fitness going forward, Politico reported.

A Suffolk University/USA Today survey released Monday showed nearly one-third of voters are more inclined to support Trump following the first presidential debate, while most respondents believe Democrats should consider replacing Biden as their nominee.

Some Democrat donors appear to be in panic mode.

“For Biden’s own good and the good of the country, he should step aside immediately,” major Democrat donor and former hedge fund manager Whitney Tilson told DailyMail.com.

“The fact that it has now been three days and Biden has done nothing to reassure us confirms my worst fears.”

While Biden’s campaign team insists the debate did nothing to change voters’ minds, some donors disagree.

“They’re p***ing on our legs and telling us it’s raining. It’s insulting. How stupid do they think we are?” Tilson said of the president’s team.

No Bud Light Weirdo’s This Year – Subdued Pride Month Was A Win For American Families

As June has now passed, American families can celebrate an unexpected win.

Compared to the turbulence of “pride month” in recent years, this year was relatively quiet and subdued. Across the board, in the private sector and in public life, advocacy against an ideologically charged month of June has enjoyed marked success. Corporate LGBTQ advertising has diminished; pro-family and marriage bills are on the rise; and businesses are rejecting woke calendar politics and sticking to their bottom line. (RELATED: REP. The change in professional sports is a prime example. Last year, the Los Angeles Dodgers were one of 29 out of 30 Major League Baseball teams that hosted a pride night. At their event, the Dodgers honored the anti-Catholic hate group, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (SPI).

The SPI is a group of queer and transgender men dressed as nuns who insult the Catholic Church with hateful performances, such as pole dancing on a crucifix. CatholicVote initiated an ad campaign to inform the public about the Dodgers’ recognition of the SPI, and they were not happy about it. Fans, families and bishops criticized the Dodgers for their support of the anti-Catholic group.

This year, the Dodgers toned down their pride night, and many teams noticeably reduced their promotion of “pride month” on social media. Baseball teams are starting to get the message: Americans want to see good baseball without being subjected to identity politics.

Consumer goods companies have also shifted gears in response to intense pushback from customers. Last year, Bud Light launched a marketing campaign starring transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, which many viewed as insulting to women. As a result, the company experienced a massive decrease in sales, with significant customer boycotts. This June, Bud Light has not only refrained from having LGBT activists in its ads, but also didn’t once mention “pride month” on social media.

The retail giant Target, for its part, came under intense criticism last year for its “pride month” advertising, with customers boycotting the company for its in-your-face pride section and trans clothing, such as tuck-friendly swimsuits. And this year, Target has limited its pride-themed items to select stores.

Corporations seem to have learned that Americans do not want to see rainbow-washed advertising everywhere they turn. Indeed, a recent survey demonstrates that 30% of consumer goods stores are toning down pride marketing this year.

Duke Believes White People Are Racist

Note: I lived near there for decades. The Duke grads were no different and just as biased and sanctimonious as any Ivy League school. That should have been a compliment, but given the gutter that those schools chose to live in, they offer social indoctrination, not education. At work, if someone started with the college degree talk, we knew to avoid their ideas and input. They’ve let woke ideas ruin both faculty and students under the cabana of social justice.

Stick to basketball, you used to be good at it.

Some precepts are inviolate, non-negotiable, and irreplaceable. America’s preeminent precept was penned by Thomas Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence: “all men are created equal.” At Gettysburg, Abraham Lincoln reiterated this core belief: “Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.” It justified the Civil War. Equality of its individuals was America’s foundational proclamation. Martin Luther King, Jr. appealed to it in his “I Have A Dream” speech: “When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir.”

However, Duke advocates replacing the equality of American individuals for the equality of American groups– calling it “equity.” Substituting equity for equality is a paradigm shift and a clash of visions. Individuals are equal, groups are not. The question I posed to Duke setting me at odds with them (and they with me) was: “Please explain why equity is preferable to equality.” Duke refused to answer despite inviting any “questions or concerns” employees had regarding their “Pledge” of allegiance to equity rather than equality. My repeated question given in person and in writing went repeatedly unanswered. Had Duke been forthcoming they would have said something like:

Duke believes white people are racists. The primary (perhaps only) reason Blacks as a group are less wealthy and have poorer health outcomes is due to the unconscious racism of white people. Duke believes Blacks will never be as well off as white people under the American meritocratic system because it primarily advantages whites. The sole hope Blacks have for obtaining economic and health parity is for it to be given to them. We will know when unconscious racism has been overcome when health and financial outcomes among groups are equal.” That is- you are a racist until outcomes are equal.

For Duke, the supposed deleterious effect of unconscious thoughts necessitates ending the free enterprise system because Blacks cannot compete in a free-market economy given that whites are unconscious racists. It is insuperable. Never-mind the median household income for groups in America from top earners down is: Indians, Filipino, Taiwanese, Sri Lankan, Japanese, Malaysian, Chinese, Pakistani, and then White Americans. America is a success story.

Duke is leading us away from the successful melting-pot vision to the dreadfully unsuccessful socialist vision with this single flash of (pseudo)inspiration- “whites are unconscious racists.” What becomes foundational to Duke is not that people are “created equal” but that whites are “unconscious racists.” Duke cultivates a society where black patients should prefer black doctors (because whites are unconsciously killing them) and everyone else should avoid black doctors if hired under DEI (Didn’t Earn It).

The imagined and almost hysterical importance ascribed to unconscious racism [which is unquantifiable and highly suspect] is surely a flimsy pretense for sacrificing your birthright as an American (black, white or any other color). I wouldn’t be bamboozled, cowed or silenced by this tulip bulb mania which is bound to collapse. They claim unconscious racism justifies collectivism and a “fundamental transformation” to the American experiment. But unconscious racism is a modern day witch-hunt: “Prove you are not a witch/racist.” People should be judged by their words and deeds only, not by mental telepathists who presume to read your mind- sheer absurdity.

Duke further promotes group collectivism through social justice. Why do we need “social” justice? Does justice need a modifier? Why not simply treat each individual with justice- period? Justice means giving each person what he or she deserves. But Duke wishes you to think collectively, not individually, therefore they talk of social justice for groups rather than of justice for individuals. Treating each individual justly will ensure social justice. All justice is social. A person on a deserted island can be neither just nor unjust.

Americans don’t want equity, we want equality. We don’t want social justice, we want justice. Socialists, collectivists, and Marxists aim for equity and social justice whose end is poverty and subjugation. Classical Liberalists, free-marketers, and individualists aim after equality and justice whose end is prosperity and freedom.

Resist the collectivists. Resist the socialists. Resist the cultural Marxists (with their oppressor/oppressed model feverishly fomented by Marx in his Communist Manifesto and parroted by Duke). Every time they say “equity,” you say “equality” twice as loud.

Don’t let them use the blighted, unscientific slander of “unconscious racism” to shoehorn socialism into society. Yes, it’s unscientific. When I asked Duke for the clinical/scientific data used for asserting “racism is a public health crisis,” they had none (Zero) despite earlier claims. They backtracked saying they relied on “social science” data. I have social science data Duke probably doesn’t want to hear. Of course there was no clinical data. It’s not a scientifically provable hypothesis but a failed political ideology.

Duke refused to answer because equity is based wholly on their belief in the unconscious racism of white people- a pretentious, dubious, insulting, and risible pretense for wealth redistribution. Here is the last question for Duke on my departure: Is Duke dedicated to the American proposition that all men are created equal, or to the socialist proposition that all groups should be made equal? You can’t serve two masters.

Now, 20 years later, after getting inspired to enter politics by former President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, Westrich is a solidly conservative state representative from blue-collar southeast Iowa who is pro-gun and anti-vaccine mandate. It may be an unusual trajectory for someone who played moog synthesizer in a popular alternative rock band, but, given the politics of people in her generation, it actually might not be unusual at all.


Gen Xers, which can be roughly defined as those born between 1965 and 1980, came of age under President Ronald Reagan amid the end of the Cold War. The popular image of Generation X has never quite fit in within any easy political framing. It’s the generation that produced grunge rock and gangsta rap but also reached cultural consciousness at the height of the “greed is good” 1980s memorialized in Oliver Stone’s Wall Street. In fact, if there was any popular image of this generation’s politics, it was that they were apolitical. The slackers depicted in Richard Linklater movies or the grunge rockers in flannel were almost devoid of political inclination save a generalized cynicism and MTV’s “Choose or Lose” campaign, which was designed to simply convince young voters that politics matters at all. After their first election in 1984, they bounced back and forth in presidential elections — although exit poll data doesn’t always provide a clear generation breakdown — but were never at all particularly progressive and veered to the right of the nation as a whole.

And there were always hints of a more right-wing inclination culturally even if they may have been camouflaged by the less politically charged atmosphere at the time. The first major political depiction of this cohort was on the sitcom Family Ties, where Reagan-loving teenager Alex P. Keaton clashed with his liberal boomer parents. As Republican pollster Patrick Ruffini put it to Politico, “the MTV generation has always been a little bit more conservative.”

Now, though, there is no confusion: Generation X is safely Republican. One model from 2014 measuring only white voters through the 2012 election shows those born in the mid-to-late 1960s being the most Republican-leaning of all, more so than the older Boomers and Silent generation. In a poll released in late April by Marist/NPR that separated voters by generation, Generation X had the highest level of disapproval for Biden and were the generation most likely to say they would vote for a Republican candidate in the midterms if they were held that day.

While voters have historically tended to be more conservative as they age, that has accelerated with Generation X. In fact, Tom Bonier, the CEO of TargetSmart, a Democratic data firm, told me that Generation X has now become the most conservative generation, surpassing the Boomers in their rightward tilt.

But under Schwab’s decadeslong oversight, the Forum has allowed to fester an atmosphere hostile to women and Black people in its own workplace, according to internal complaints, email exchanges and interviews with dozens of current and former Forum employees and other people familiar with the Forum’s practices.


A few years ago Klaus Schwab, the octogenarian founder of the World Economic Forum, decided the organization needed a youthful makeover.

So he singled out a group of employees over 50 years old and instructed his human-resources chief to get rid of them all, according to people familiar with the matter. This, he explained, would lower the average age of the workforce. The HR chief, a seasoned former World Bank executive named Paolo Gallo, declined, pointing out that there has to be a reasonable explanation for firing somebody, such as poor performance. Not long after, Schwab fired Gallo. 

It wasn’t the only example of Schwab engaging in behavior that would violate standard workplace policies of the Forum’s leading corporate partners. One episode still making the rounds among staffers is the time in 2017 he tapped a young woman to lead an initiative for startups. She had discovered she was pregnant, and during her first few days on the job went into Schwab’s office in Geneva to tell him. 

Schwab grew upset that she wouldn’t be able to continue working at the same pace, people familiar with the incident said, and told her she wasn’t suited for her new leadership role. She was pushed out after what the Forum said was a brief trial period.

At least six female staffers were pushed out or otherwise saw their careers suffer when they were pregnant or returning from maternity leave. Another half dozen described sexual harassment they experienced at the hands of senior managers, some of whom remain at the Forum. Two said they were sexually harassed years ago by VIPs at Forum gatherings, including at Davos, where female staff were expected to be at the delegates’ beck and call. 

In two more recent incidents, employees registered internal complaints after white Forum managers used the N-word around Black employees. Black employees also raised formal complaints to Forum leaders about being passed over for promotions or left out of Davos.

Japan accepted a record high of 303 asylum seekers in 2023 but REJECTED 98% of applicants

Japan granted asylum to 303 individuals in 2023 – a record high – but still small compared to the 98 percent whose applications were rejected.

The Japanese Ministry of Justice (MoJ) revealed this number in March, surpassing the 202 individuals granted asylum in 2022. Despite this increase, the approval rate for asylum seekers remained low at just 2.2 percent.

All in all, the total number of asylum seekers who lodged their applications in the Land of the Rising Sun reached 13,823 in 2023. According to Kyodo News, this is the second-highest number after the 19,629 people who sought asylum in 2017.

The increase comes amid changes to the stringent Japanese immigration laws, which created a quasi-refugee status for foreign nationals fleeing active conflict zones. Kyodo News also provided a breakdown of the 303 refugees whose asylum applications were approved.

Japan has seen a significant increase in refugee applications from countries such as Afghanistan, Myanmar and Ethiopia – representing more than a threefold increase from 2022 figures. A majority of the accepted refugees, 237 individuals, hailed from Afghanistan. Many of the refugees from Afghanistan were employees of the Japan International Cooperation Agency who fled the country after the fall of Kabul, officials said.

The Japanese Immigration Services Agency (ISA) meanwhile said 27 refugees from Myanmar were granted asylum. There were also six nationals from Ethiopia whose applications for asylum were accepted, the agency added.

Of the 13,823 applications for refugee status recorded by Japanese authorities, the highest number of applicants came from Sri Lanka at 3,778. Applications from Turkey and Pakistan ranked second and third highest.

Douglas County Probate Judge Christina J. Peterson was arrested at a Buckhead nightclub early Thursday and charged with battery and felony obstruction, accused of striking an officer on the head and refusing to identify herself, records show.

Peterson, who is the subject of a yearslong judicial misconduct investigation, was apprehended at the Red Martini Restaurant and Lounge on Peachtree Road. Fulton County Jail records show she faces a felony charge of willful obstruction of law enforcement officers by use of threats or violence, and a charge of simple battery against a police officer.

Douglas County Probate Judge Christina J. Peterson was booked into the Fulton County Jail on Thursday. She is charged with battery and felony obstruction.

I have a relative that held a green card for over 10 years waiting to get citizenship while people invading the border got money, food and a nice place to stay in exchange for votes. I also lived in Miami and got to see the Marielito’s decimate the city.

The guys name at IBM was Mauricio G. and would go on to backstab me as I was protecting him politically. I let it go but it was interesting to see this viewpoint, a non-native citizen trying to make America into another country.

In July 2021, a senior Pfizer board member secretly began working with a Biden Administration operative to suppress criticism of Covid vaccines on X, newly released internal documents from X show.

Top officials at Twitter (now X) viewed the men – Dr. Scott Gottlieb, the Pfizer director, and Andy Slavitt, the operative, who had officially left a senior White House post just weeks before – as speaking for the administration in their censorship demands, the documents show.

The new documents raise constitutional and legal concerns about the Biden Administration’s social media censorship efforts, as well as Pfizer’s role in banning criticism of a product that made up almost half its sales in 2021.

Within days, the Supreme Court is expected to decide Murthy v Missouri, a landmark lawsuit over the administration’s efforts to control debate on social media.

The new documents provide crucial perspective on the Missouri case, showing how far would-be censors went in 2021 to prop up public confidence in the Covid jabs. The documents also show the power the White House had over Twitter, which badly wanted to avoid a confrontation with it.

At the time, the Biden Administration was threatening to “review” a federal law commonly called Section 230, because it was angry social media companies were allowing Covid vaccine skepticism.

Section 230 was crucial to those companies for the near-total immunity it gave them against lawsuits from users. Twitter took threats to it seriously. “We will always be proactive and vigilant about protecting 230,” Lauren Culbertson, the company’s then-head of United States public policy, wrote on July 22, 2021.

None of these internal documents has been previously released.

They are part of a tranche of censorship-related material X is making available to me following searches of its internal archives.

Lawyers for X are reviewing the documents before releasing them. But so far only one document they have provided – an email from Jim Baker, Twitter’s then-deputy general counsel – contains any redactions.

In addition, no one at X, including Elon Musk, asked for or placed any restrictions on or had any input into the writing of this article. (Lawyers for X did ask to review it after writing but before publication, to be sure the names of junior employees or their email addresses were not included. Their review did not result in any changes.)

The censorship conspiracy by Slavitt and Gottlieb targeted me personally.

I am not named in any of the new documents provided so far. Slavitt and Gottlieb used careful – almost coded – language in their outreach to Twitter on July 18 and 19, 2021. They did initially not refer to any particular censorship targets by name. But emails and other internal Twitter documents that have already been released show I was a top target of both men.

, my complaint against Slavitt, Gottlieb, Pfizer chairman Dr. Albert Bourla, and the Biden Administration for conspiring to force Twitter to ban me in 2021. Gottlieb’s lawyers previously argued I had not alleged Gottlieb had had any contact with Twitter officials before August 2021. The documents show otherwise.

In fact, Slavitt introduced Gottlieb to Todd O’Boyle – a senior Twitter lobbyist who handled most of the company’s interactions with the White House – by email on Sunday, July 18, 2021. Slavitt, a longtime Democratic operative, had served as senior advisor to the Biden administration’s Covid response team.

“I wonder if you would be open to a 20 minute call with Scott Gottlieb and me about a policy matter,” Slavitt wrote. Slavitt referred to Gottlieb as “FDA commissioner under Trump” and failed to mention his role on Pfizer’s board.

Although he had officially left the Biden Administration weeks before, Slavitt’s email signature also contained his White House email address, asking that “Government Email” be sent there.

After months of silence, veteran reporter Catherine Herridge has released a shocking report on a military servicewoman who claims she was sidelined by the Veterans Administration after internal memos classified her heart condition as an ailment resulting from the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine.

In a clip of her interview with the soldier, Herridge listens to the heartbreaking story of Army Specialist Karoline Stancik, who blamed the Covid vaccine for a “debilitating heart condition” she said was confirmed by military brass and which has cost her $70,000 in medical bills. Stancik, 23, came forward after saying she was “abandoned” by the Army and National Guard as she sought compensation. Herridge asked the young woman if an internal Army memo represented an acknowledgment that her heart condition was the result of the COVID-19 vaccine

“It one hundred percent is,” she replied.

“Were you left behind by the Army and the National Guard?” Herridge asked as she probed further. “I was left behind and trampled,” she responded.

Herridge’s report, titled “The Cost of Following Orders,” examines a number of instances where mandatory COVID vaccinations in the U.S. military resulted in severe side effects for service members. In August of 2021, the Department of Defense under President Joe Biden ordered all soldiers across all military branches to receive the vaccine regardless of religious objections or health considerations. The policy was rescinded less than two years later but has reportedly left a significant number of veterans saying they suffered detrimental effects as a result of the forced jabs.

Stancik now takes 27 pills per day after suffering a heart attack while on active duty. “I could run 10 miles at a time, play basketball, and now I have trouble just standing up,” she said, adding she had no previously diagnosed heart condition. “The only thing that could have changed was the vaccine. That’s when everything flipped upside down for me.”

A recent survey found that 3 in 10 college students or recent graduates had job offers rescinded as a result of their “pro-Palestine” activism.

Intelligent surveyed 672 students or recent college graduates who have engaged in anti-Israel activism and found that 29% of them had a job offer rescinded in the past six months and 55% believe there was bias against them in the hiring process because of their activism.

7 in 10 pro-Palestine activists said they were asked about their protest history during the interview process, according to the survey results.

Intelligent Chief Education and Career Development Advisor Huy Nguyen said that the results are consistent with other studies.

“It’s consistent with another study that we performed where employers expressed concerns that hiring protestors and strongly vocal activists might cause distractions and disruptions in the workplace and negatively impact their workplace,” Nguyen said.

21% of those surveyed also reported negative feedback from potential employers about their activism and 14% either had job offers withdrawn or not extended.

Peer Reviewed Study Reveals 74% Deaths Directly Linked to COVID-19 Shot

A previously censored paper from The Lancet has now undergone peer review and is available online.

The study, titled “A Systematic Review of Autopsy Findings in Deaths After COVID-19 Vaccination,” analyzed 325 autopsy cases and found that a staggering 73.9% of deaths were either directly due to or significantly contributed to by the COVID-19 vaccination.

The paper’s lead author, Dr. Nicolas Hulscher, faced significant opposition in bringing these findings to light. After initially being downloaded over 100,000 times, The Lancet removed the paper within 24 hours, according to Dr. William Makis. 

Methods

We searched PubMed and ScienceDirect for all published autopsy and necropsy reports relating to COVID-19 vaccination up until May 18th, 2023. All autopsy and necropsy studies that included COVID-19 vaccination as an antecedent exposure were included.

Because the state of knowledge has advanced since the time of the original publications, three physicians independently reviewed each case and adjudicated whether or not COVID-19 vaccination was the direct cause or contributed significantly to death.

Results

We initially identified 678 studies and, after screening for our inclusion criteria, included 44 papers that contained 325 autopsy cases and one necropsy case. The mean age of death was 70.4 years.

The most implicated organ system among cases was the cardiovascular (49%), followed by hematological (17%), respiratory (11%), and multiple organ systems (7%). Three or more organ systems were affected in 21 cases.

The mean time from vaccination to death was 14.3 days. Most deaths occurred within a week from last vaccine administration.

A total of 240 deaths (73.9%) were independently adjudicated as directly due to or significantly contributed to by COVID-19 vaccination, of which the primary causes of death include sudden cardiac death (35%), pulmonary embolism (12.5%), myocardial infarction (12%), VITT (7.9%), myocarditis (7.1%), multisystem inflammatory syndrome (4.6%), and cerebral hemorrhage (3.8%).

Paper: Not one government policy during the COVID epidemic accomplished anything to stop the disease’s spread

In reviewing the many different government actions taken during the COVID epidemic aimed at slowing the spread of the virus, scientists have found that none of these policies accomplished anything.

No matter how we approached these questions, the primary finding was lack of definitive patterns that could support claims about governmental policy impacts. About half the time, government policies were followed by better Covid-19 outcomes, and half of the time they were not. The findings were sometimes contradictory, with some policies appearing helpful when tested one way, and the same policy appearing harmful when tested another way. No claims about the relationship between government responses and pandemic outcomes held generally. Looking at stay-at-home policies and school closures, about half the time it looked like Covid-19 outcomes improved after their imposition, and half the time they got worse. Every policy, Covid-19 outcome, time period, and modeling approach yielded a similar level of uncertainty: about half the time it looked like things got better, and half the time like things got worse.

…Yet scientists used these data to make definitive conclusions.

Claims that government responses made Covid-19 worse are not broadly true, and the same goes for claims that government responses were useless or ineffective. Claims that government responses help reduce the burden of Covid-19 are also not true. What is true is that there is no strong evidence to support claims about the impacts of the policies, one way or the other.


The bottom line — which has been obvious from day one of the panic — is that any claims of certain knowledge and success by any government official was a lie. This was especially true — and noted here and in numerous conservative news sites repeatedly — when government agencies like the CDC would willy-nilly change its guidelines even though there had been no additional published research justifying those changes.

The best example was the CDC’s guidelines on masks. For decades health agencies clearly stated, based on actual research going back almost a century, that masks were not only useless but a risk for those with heart and lung conditions. Suddenly, with no further data, the guidelines were changed and masks were the best thing since sliced bread.

Similarly the guidelines on social distancing would change over and over again, even though there was literally no data to support that measure, and continues to be none (as now admitted by Anthony Fauci this week when pressed during congressional hearings). In fact, no research was ever done, and it appears the idea of social distancing actually came from a high school science fair project that the entire edifice of government petty dictators glommed onto in glee.

All of this raises a more fundamental question: Why do so many people so quickly accept government claims, on anything? And why do so many people continue to assume these same dishonest government officials can fix any problem?

Government officials generally know little about anything, other than how to tell others what to do. Such people are the last people we should ask for advice.

OPEC Leader Smacks Down Globalists’ Oil Prediction, Gives History Lesson Everyone Should Know

In a statement published on the OPEC website Thursday, Secretary General Haitham Al Ghais said the concept of “peak oil demand” is nowhere to be seen in the cartel’s projections for future global crude oil demand.

“[A]s we look to the future it is the very versatility of oil that ensures that we do not see peak oil demand on the horizon,” Al Ghais said.

“Just as peak oil supply has never transpired, predictions of peak oil demand are following a similar trend.”

In my own research, I have been able to trace predictions for the world reaching so-called “peak oil” all the way back to the 1880s.

From that distant beginning through around 2010, peak oil theory was always about the world having somehow reached a peak in crude oil supply as all the big reserves had supposedly already been discovered.

For about 125 years, constant advances in technology and a creative and innovative industry invariably proved such pronouncements wrong, often laughably so.

With the ramping-up of the climate alarmist movement in the first decade of this century, narratives surrounding this always-wrong theory began to shift over to the demand side of the equation. Some anti-oil-and-gas activist groups even adopted the theory as a means of promoting the equally silly notion that the world’s remaining oil resources could simply be left in the ground as demand for them would soon be overwhelmed by rising demand for alternatives.

A decade later, that theory has also been proven laughably wrong, despite the “investment” of many trillions of dollars in debt-funded subsidies.

OPEC’s statement stands in stark contrast to the projection by the International Energy Agency that the world will somehow achieve peak oil demand by 2030. Al Ghais alludes to this preposterous notion, calling it a “dangerous commentary, especially for consumers,” that “will only lead to energy volatility on a potentially unprecedented scale.”

Al Ghais’ statement comes in the wake of revised oil-demand growth projections from the IEA and OPEC, along with Goldman Sachs and the US Energy Information Administration for the remainder of 2024 and into 2025. Where the IEA revised its 2024 projection downward to 1 million barrels per day for 2024, even it projects a more robust 1.5 million bpd in growth for 2025.

The EIA raised its own growth estimate for 2024 from a very conservative 900,000 bpd to 1.1 million bpd.

Goldman Sachs comes in at a stronger 2024 estimate of 1.25 million bpd, based on strong global economic growth. The bank cites robust growth in jet fuel, petrochemical-driven LPG and naphtha, and gasoline and diesel demand as key drivers of this growth.

I knew in my 30s that I wanted to retire early. I enjoyed my work, but it was getting in the way of my life. I had stuff to do I still do.

So I had to prepare and live my life accordingly by these principles. Now I’m the king of retirement. I love waking up, knowing I don’t have meetings, email, texts, presentations or travel for business. Everything is paid off, and I can enjoy life more.

My mom told me she taught each of her kids financial independence, saving and spending. The rest of them are broke or died broke.

I respect people who love to work. I had a lot of other things to do in life also. I’m taking care of that now.

What is the reason for the discrepancy between the ambitious goal and the disastrous reality? The Washington Free Beacon obtained internal memos from the Department of Transportation and interviewed those responsible for overseeing the project’s implementation to find out.

It turns out that the administration’s own “Diversity—Equity—Inclusion” initiatives are stalling EV Charging Station construction.

Shortly after taking office, the president signed an executive order mandating that the beneficiaries of 40 percent of all federal climate and environmental programs should come from “underserved communities.” The order also established the White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council, which monitors agencies such as the Department of Transportation to ensure the “voices, perspectives, and lived realities of communities with environmental justice concerns are heard in the White House and reflected in federal policies, investments, and decisions.”

In order to qualify for a grant, applicants must “demonstrate how meaningful public involvement, inclusive of disadvantaged communities, will occur throughout a project’s life cycle.” What “public involvement” means is unclear. But the Department of Transportation notes it should involve “intentional outreach to underserved communities.”

That outreach, the Department of Transportation states, can take the form of “games and contests,” “visual preference surveys,” or “neighborhood block parties” so long as the grant recipient provides “multilingual staff or interpreters to interact with community members who use languages other than English.”

“This all just slows down construction,” says Jim Meigs, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute who focuses on federal regulation.

The DEI mandates are also hindering the implementation of the CHIPS and Science Act, a bipartisan measure designed to enhance U.S. semiconductor supply chains and support private-sector investment in domestic research and manufacturing.

Yoda is known for the nuggets of wisdom he would impart — in backward English — to his pupils. One of his most famous quotes is what he said to Luke Skywalker to warn him against the temptations of the dark side of the Force, of seeking quick power and strength, as opposed to learning the Jedi way of discipline, patience, and tradition: 

‘Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny. Consume you, it will.’

After listening to the producer and one of the actors in Star Wars’ latest installment in a franchise that has turned itself into a joke and a dumpster fire, it’s clear that no one at Disney ever bothered to pay attention to Yoda. Watch:

Well, it looks like Jordan Peterson has finally cracked the code on “wokeness.” Based on his research, we now have insight into the type of person who easily succumbs to this twisted and warped way of thinking.

The truth is, leftist tactics are pretty slick—they love to play word games. They throw around phrases like “Across state lines,” “My Body, My Choice,” and “No Human is Illegal” that all sound really good but are just verbal tricks designed to pull the wool over your eyes. These clever catchphrases easily snag folks who don’t dig deeper into what they’re actually hearing. See, the richer and more vast your vocabulary, the better you can sort through smokescreens and propaganda and recognize when words are being twisted to fool you. For example, slogans like “silence is violence” and “words are violence” try to stretch the meaning of actual “violence” to include just about anything, including what you say or don’t say. But here’s the thing: folks who really get the true meaning of words won’t fall for this trick. They know violence involves physical force, not just speaking up or keeping quiet. So, these catchphrases, which try to make everyday actions seem dangerous, just don’t stick with people who understand how language is being manipulated. But many do fall for it, and that’s why this obsession with reshaping language to suit their agenda is a common strategy on the left.

Wokeness breaks everything down into simple terms of good or bad—blacks = good, whites = bad; men = bad, women = good; and anything like patriarchy or racism = super duper bad. This simplicity only works for people who lack verbal smarts. These low-IQ, often criminal-minded people can only understand simple slogans and mental models, and the communist left is all too happy to supply them.

This leads to two additional problems. First, there’s confirmation bias, which is living in your own personal echo chamber. It means you ignore any facts or opinions that challenge your beliefs and only pay attention to those that support what you already think. Second, there’s a kind of fear, or cowardice, involved. It’s the fear of facing anything that might truly challenge or threaten your views. So, instead of confronting or considering different perspectives, people shut down and stick to their comfort zones.

Another trick the left uses to control the story is by throwing together confusing word salads. California is home to three of the most polluted beaches in the country, according to a new report. 

The Surfrider Foundation tested thousands of water samples across the nation, with Imperial Beach in San Diego coming out as the worst. 

As part of the group’s survey, they also found that 64 percent of the 567 sites tested had at least one sample with unsafe bacteria levels. 

A quarter of the samples came from sites in California, with three beaches in The Golden State among the ten most polluted. 

Every sample recovered from Imperial Beach turned up bacteria counts that exceeded the state’s health standard for recreational waters.

I’ve got nothing invested in girls sports. There are few I like. I’ve been following Caitlin Clark and I’m about to reunite with Katy Ledecky after not seeing her for a couple of years.

Still, women’s sports should fail or succeed on their merit. That includes it being only girls. I’m tired of the trans testicles kicking ass on the females because they are men. It was a novelty at first, but it is a tiring story and embarrassing for men to see one of the competitors in a girls suit with a bulge.

Lia Thomas, the infamous transgender swimmer who won so many NCAA women’s swimming titles in 2022, is barred from the 2024 Summer Olympics after losing a legal battle against the international group that governs swimming.

Thomas attempted to bring a legal case against World Aquatics at the court of arbitration for sport in hopes of vacating the group’s recent rules placing heavy restrictions on trans athletes. The rules effectively bar someone like Thomas from competing in international competitions and also bar him from being considered for a slot on the U.S. Women’s Swim Team, according to the Guardian.

What Introverts Need To Be Happy

I sign up for a lot of these. Once again an excellent article from Introvert Dear.

1. Plenty of time to wind down and process

Yes, we introverts need downtime after things like parties and networking events. But we also need downtime after “little” things, too. Because we’re wired to process experiences deeply, introverts may get very drained by a stressful day at work, running errands, or a heated conversation with a significant other. Time to unwind allows us to fully comprehend what we just experienced and lower our stimulation level to one that’s more comfortable and sustainable. Without downtime, we’ll feel brain-dead, irritable, and even physically unwell or tired. This state is called the introvert hangover.

2. Meaningful conversation

How was your weekend? What’s new with you? We “quiet ones” can do small talk (it’s a skill many of us have forced ourselves to learn), but that doesn’t mean we enjoy it. Introverts crave diving deep, both in our interests and in our relationships. We need something more: What’s something new you’ve learned lately? How are you a different person today than you were ten years ago? Does God exist?

Not every conversation has to be soul-searchingly deep. Sometimes introverts really do just want to talk about the weather or what you did this weekend. But if we’re only fed a diet of small talk, we’ll leave the table still feeling like we’re still hungry. Without those intimate, raw, big-idea moments, we’ll be unhappy.

3. Companionable silence

It may seem contrary to #2, but introverts also need people in their lives who are content with quiet. We need friends or partners who can sit in the same room with us, not talking, each of us doing our own thing. People who won’t nervously jump to fill a pause in the conversation but will let thoughts linger, waiting until ideas have been fully digested. Without periods of companionable silence, introverts just won’t be happy.

4. Space to dive deep into our hobbies and interests

17th-century horror novels. Celtic mythology. Restoring old cars. Gardening, painting, cooking, or writing. If it’s out there, introverts are diving deep into it. Having time alone to focus on our hobbies and interests recharges us because, while absorbed in them, we likely enter an energizing state of flow. According to the famed psychologist Mihály Csíkszentmihályi, “flow” is a mental state in which a person is fully immersed in an activity and enjoying the process. A flow state comes naturally to many introverts, and without it, we won’t feel happy.

5. A quiet space that’s all ours

Admittedly, this is something I don’t have right now because my toddler is the ultimate space-invader. However, introverts ideally need a private, quiet space to retreat to when the world is too loud. It could be a room that they can arrange, decorate, and have full control over — a true introvert sanctuary. Or it might be just a special corner, couch, or chair. Being fully alone, without fear of intrusion or interruption, is invigorating on a near-spiritual level for introverts.

6. Time to think

According to Dr. Marti Olsen Laney in The Introvert Advantage, introverts might rely more on long-term memory than working memory (for extroverts, it’s the opposite). This might explain why we introverts struggle to put our thoughts into words. While words seem to flow effortlessly for extroverts, introverts often need an extra beat to think before responding — or much longer to consider a bigger issue. Without time to process and reflect, introverts will feel stressed.

7. People who understand that sometimes we’ll be staying home

For introverts, socializing is all about dosage. We need friends and loved ones who understand that sometimes we just can’t “people” — and they accept this without giving us a guilt trip. It’s not that we don’t value their company; we simply need time to recharge. Having people in our lives who respect our need for solitude helps us maintain our energy and emotional health. This understanding allows us to show up more fully when we do spend time together.

8. A deeper purpose to our lives and work

Everyone needs to pay their bills, and for many of us, that’s why we go to work, even if we have to drag ourselves kicking and screaming. Some people are content with this arrangement, or at least tolerate it. However, for many introverts, it’s not enough — we crave work that’s purposeful and meaningful. We want to do more than just earn a paycheck and put a roof over our heads. Without meaning and purpose in our lives — whether it comes from our job, a relationship, a hobby, or something else — introverts will feel deeply unhappy.

9. Quiet

Sometimes we just don’t have the energy to interact. We might be turned inward, doing what introverts do best — reflecting on and analyzing ideas and experiences. Pointing out, “You’re so quiet!” or prodding us to talk only makes us feel self-conscious. At these times, let us remain quiet — it might be what we need to be happy. After we’ve had time to process and recharge, we’ll likely return with plenty to say.

10. Independence

Unique and independent, introverts are more inclined to let their own inner resources guide them than follow the crowd. We often do our best work — and are our happiest — when we have the freedom to explore ideas, spend time alone, and be self-directed. Independence allows us to tap into our creativity and inner wisdom, setting our own pace and making the decisions that are best for us. Without this autonomy, we might feel stifled.

11. The simple life

I have an extroverted friend who seems to do it all— volunteering at her son’s school, caring for her family, planning get-togethers for our friends, and holding down a full-time job. As an introvert, I’d never survive that same schedule; besides, the simple life is good enough for me. A good book, a lazy weekend, a meaningful conversation with a friend, and some snuggles from my animal companions are what make me happy.

12. Friends and loved ones who value us

We’re never going to be the most popular person in the room. In fact, in a large group, you might not even notice us at all, as we tend to remain in the background. Nevertheless, just like anyone else, we introverts need people in our lives who see our value and love us despite our quirks. We know that at times we can be difficult to deal with — nobody’s perfect. When you love and accept us as we are, even when our weird introvert behavior don’t make sense to you, you make our lives profoundly happier.

American-born workers are getting killed in Biden’s economy

Native-born American workers are taking a beating in the job market from gains by foreign-born workers, according to the data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) on Friday.

The number of foreign-born workers employed in the U.S. rose by 637,000 in the last year to nearly 30.9 million, while the number of employed native-born Americans has declined by 299,000, according to the BLS. As a consequence of foreign-born workers taking up job gains, the number of American-born workers with jobs is still below the number counted in July 2019.

Illegal immigration has surged under President Joe Biden following the administration’s relaxation of enforcement at the southern border, which has recently prompted the president to scramble to stem the flow by signing an executive order that he claims will limit the number of asylum seekers allowed in the country.

I will say this, when I’m passionate about something I go in Well more than 100%. It’s probably why I’ve burnt out on a lot of stuff.

I did learn the lesson about passion when I was working. If you could find someone that was passionate about a subject, you didn’t need to motivate them. It was there all along.

My Favorite Season Of The Year?

What is your favorite season of year? Why?

Look, I grew up in Central Florida without air conditioning. It was summer 51 of the 52 weeks of the year.

One of the best things in life for me was getting out of that state. It may have a great political climate, growth, no state taxes and other positives, but dreading to go outside because it’s so hot isn’t worth it.

The setting is roughly 100 years before the events of “The Phantom Menace.” The Jedi Council is alive and well, training young Padawans and learning hard truths about some alum.

Namely, Osha (Amandla Stenberg), who in the show’s opening moments does a very bad thing. That’s all we can say thanks to the Emperor … we mean Disney’s legal team!

Star Wars continues down an unfortunate path of ruin and bad storytelling. The latest entry in this journey to the Dark Side is a new show called “The Acolyte.” The creators say it is the “gayest” yet. Matt Walsh has thoughts.

After recounting a series of rough financial numbers, Walsh says:

Disney, over the past eight months, has apparently decided to double down on agenda-driven content, to the point that they’re openly attacking their own fans. It’s a remarkable turn of events.

Faced with this brand collapse, Disney had two options. One option was to retool their content to focus on entertainment and family values instead of activism, which is what Disney used to do, when it was a universally beloved and much more financially successful company. They could get back to their roots. Not in the sense of churning out more remakes, but in the sense of being a company that makes wholesome family films that capture a sense of wonder and imagination.

The other option was to keep doing exactly what they’ve been doing, and continue to shove the same agenda — the equity/representation/LGBTQ approach — that they’ve been pushing for years now.

Eight months ago, Disney’s CEO, Bob Iger, publicly pledged to pursue the first option. He declared that Disney would refocus its efforts on entertainment, not political messaging. That was the plan, or at least the plan that was shared with the public. But that’s not what happened.

“The Acolyte” dispenses with any talk of Skywalkers, past or present. The focus is on the Jedi way of life, which it turns out is rather dull. So is the writing in the first three episodes. Showrunner Leslye Headland (co-creator, “Russian Doll”) has a sprawling canvas on which to create, but so far it’s a paint-by-numbers affair.

Disney+’s “Andor” delved into the geopolitical workings behind the saga. Everything in “The Acolyte,” at least from the jump, is surface-level deep.

Sometimes, it’s not even that.

“The Acolyte” moves at an agreeable pace, but there’s precious little “why” behind the narrative so far. Yay, diversity! Woo-hoo! Female characters aplenty! Bechdel Test … nailed! That feminist streak gets a workout. It’s also where Comic-Con nation may shriek the loudest.

Disney should be accustomed to that by now, but it least the sequences feel fresh to the franchise.

For a while.

That episode loses control mid-story. The ensuing plot pivots make little sense beyond getting to where the storytellers need us to go. To label it clunky is being kind.

“The Acolyte” could find its legs, eventually. The bigger threat looming over the story might be worth the wait, and the writing could mature with more time.

How many people will stick around to see is another question.

Princeton Finds Racial Bias At Facebook

A recent study by researchers from Princeton University and USC suggests that Meta’s algorithms for presenting educational ads exhibit signs of racial bias, particularly in the delivery of ads realated to for-profit universities and those with a history of predatory marketing practices.

The Register reports that the research paper, titled “Auditing for Racial Discrimination in the Delivery of Education Ads,” is set to be presented at the ACM Conference on Fairness, Accountability, and Transparency (ACM FAccT) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The authors, including researchers from Princeton and USC, found that Meta’s algorithms disproportionately show ads for for-profit colleges and universities with historically predatory practices to black users compared to ads for public universities.

L’s knowledge of Fauci is encyclopedic, and don’t get her started on “Dr.” Peter Daszak. So it was no surprise that she drew attention to the tweet below. Two days ago, Fauci was the keynote speaker at one of Columbia University’s medical colleges. Odd choice for an institution already tarred with controversy. Even worse in retrospect, considering that Fauci (through the NIH) finally admitted that taxpayers funded gain-of-function research in Wuhan…one day later. After denying it for years.

Funny how these conspiracies keep coming true.

Some Dark Lessons In The Area Of Love

First It Was Eating Bugs, Now The WEF Wants To Ban Coffee – I Don’t Think So

Roughly 75% of Americans drink coffee every day.

That won’t be the case for long, apparently, if the elites at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, have their way.

Did anyone notice what they were talking about back in January during the 2024 World Economic Forum’s Davos get-together?

During a recent WEF panel discussion, a reporter for Moneywise, in an item posted on Yahoo! Finance, reported that one speaker, some banker named Hubert Keller, remarked, “The coffee that we all drink emits between 15 and 20 tons of CO2 per ton of coffee.” Ominously, he added, “so we should all know that.”

Keller also noted, “Every time we drink coffee, we are basically putting CO2 into the atmosphere.”

What’s more, the production of coffee additives such as sugar and milk also puts large amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere.

While Keller didn’t overtly try to convince people to reduce or eschew their consumption of black gold, he must’ve had a reason for raising the topic.

In the aftermath of the pandemic, I now know that rulers and elites can, sadly, make regular folks believe — and do — just about anything.

They can tell them their job isn’t crucial. They can tell them they can’t go to the gym — and can’t, in fact, leave their homes. They can tell them they can’t go to a loved one’s wedding or a family member’s funeral.

And they will be obeyed. In the future, the elites might be able to coerce folks into owning nothing — and being happy about that fact. They might even be able to convince people to “eat ze bugs.”

But telling people to give up coffee will be a deal breaker, a bridge too far.

It’s not gonna happen.

The Real Reason Introverts Hate Small Talk

Now, if you’re an introvert like me, you might hate the small talk ritual. Jon Baker, a business coach for introverts, found that 74 percent of introverts said they dislike small talk, as opposed to only 23 percent of extroverts who said they dislike it.

Why do the majority of introverts hate small talk?

By definition, introverts are people who feel drained by socializing and recharge their energy by spending time alone. Because small talk is neither emotionally nor intellectually stimulating, it can feel like an inefficient use of their limited social energy. In other words, if introverts are going to use up their energy, they want to spend it in ways that really count.

Also introverts tend to enjoy delving deep into topics and exploring ideas on a meaningful level. It’s more energizing to talk about things that feel important and relevant to them. Small talk, by its very nature, remains at a surface level.

But those aren’t the real reasons introverts might hate small talk.

Why Introverts Hate Small Talk

It’s not that introverts hate socializing or people. Even though we’re introverts, we still need close, healthy relationships to thrive.

As my friend Dr. Laurie Helgoe points out in her fascinating book, Introvert Power, “Introverts do not hate small talk because we dislike people. We hate small talk because we hate the barrier it creates between people.”

Small talk doesn’t bring people closer. Quite the opposite — it can create a barrier that prevents the kind of genuine, intimate connections we all crave.

Think about it. When two people get stuck in small-talk mode, discussing only “safe” and polite topics like the weather, they don’t really learn anything new about each other. They don’t get to know the other person or understand who they are. They miss discovering that their conversation partner, for example, wakes up early to go birdwatching, hates the color yellow, or grew up on a family farm.

As a result, the relationship doesn’t grow in a satisfying way. In general, introverts are interested in understanding people’s thoughts, feelings, life lessons, and experiences, which isn’t usually achieved through small talk.

2024 And They Still Discriminate Against The Un-Jabbed

North Carolina is trying to pass a law not to refuse life saving treatments because they haven’t taken the Covid-19 jab. A little late for this, don’t you think? I would expect this out of California, Oregon or the North East, but in flyover country?


Under the legislation, which is officially known as HB 586 in the House and SB 644 in the Senate, hospitals and transplant centers in North Carolina would be barred from denying life-saving transplants to patients based on their COVID “vaccination” status.

The bill is named for an unjabbed teenage girl named Yulia, who was adopted from Ukraine as an orphan by a U.S. Army family. Amid the COVID “pandemic” and the push for mRNA jab mandates, Yulia suffered kidney failure due to a genetic condition and was in life-or-death need of a kidney transplant.

She spent well over a year on dialysis, fighting for her life, but still, she was denied medical treatment by North Carolina’s Duke University Hospital, because she had not been “vaccinated” against COVID, even though taking the “vaccine,” which ranks as the deadliest in human history, could have put her life at an even greater risk.

Duke’s refusal to operate on Yulia nearly killed her, and it forced her family to absorb the massive medical and travel costs associated with seeking treatment elsewhere.

The quality I value most in a friend? Loyalty, maybe above everything else.

What quality do you value most in a friend?

I don’t mean the Batman and Robin type of a friend and loyalty. I just want somebody that I know I can trust, and not betray me. It’s like your girlfriend or wife not sleeping around behind your back.

What I ask is not too much and I don’t think it’s that hard to do. I know I give that to those that are really my friends. Being an introvert, I only let a very few people to the innermost part of my life. That’s a lot for a person like me to do so respecting that isn’t too much to ask in return.

Contaminating And Ruining The Nations Blood Supply

Twelve Reasons Why I Don’t Believe There’s a Climate Emergency

  1. Looking back through history, there have always been doomsday prophets, folk who say the world is coming to an end. Are modern-day activists not just the current version of this?
  2. I look at some of the facts – CO2 is 0.04% of the atmosphere; humans are responsible for just 3% of CO2; Britain is responsible for just 1% of the world’s CO2 output – and I think “really“? Will us de-carbonising really make a difference to the Earth’s climate?
  3. I have listened to some top scientists who say CO2 does not drive global warming; that CO2 in the atmosphere is a good or vital thing; that many other things, like the Sun and the clouds and the oceans, are more responsible for the Earth’s temperature.
  4. I note that most of the loudest climate activists are socialists and on the Left. Are they not just using this movement to push their dreams of a deindustrialised socialist utopia? And I also note the crossover between green activists and BLM ones, gender ones, pro-Hamas ones, none of whom I like or agree with.
  5. As an amateur psychologist, I know that humans are susceptible to manias. I also know that humans tend to focus on tiny slivers of time and on tiny slivers of geographical place when forming ideas and opinions. We are also extremely malleable and easily fooled, as was demonstrated in 2020 and 2021.
  6. I have looked into the implications of Net Zero. It is incredibly expensive. It will vastly reduce living standards and hinder economic growth. I don’t think that’s a good thing. I know that economic growth has led to higher living standards, which has made people both safer and more environmentally aware.
  7. Net Zero will also lead to significant diminishment of personal freedom, and it even threatens democracy, as people are told they must do certain things and they must not do other things, and they may even be restricted in speaking out on climate matters.
  8. What will be the worst things that will happen if the doomsayers are correct? A rise in temperature? Where? Siberia? Singapore? Stockholm? What is the ideal temperature? For how long? Will this utopia be forever maintained? I’m suspicious of utopias; the communists sought utopias.
  9. If one consequence of climate change is rising sea levels, would it not be better to spend money building more sea defences to protect our land? Like the Dutch did.
  10. It’s a narrative heavily pushed by the Guardian. I dislike the Guardian. I believe it’s been wrong on most issues through my life – socialism, immigration, race, the EU, gender, lockdowns and so on. Probably it’s wrong about climate issues too?
  11. I am suspicious of the amount of money that green activists and subsidised green industries make. And 40 years ago the greenies were saying the Earth was going to get too cold. Much of what they said would happen by now has not happened. Also, I trust ‘experts’ much less now, after they lied about the efficacy of lockdowns, masks and the ‘vaccines’.
  12. I like sunshine. I prefer being warm to being cold. It makes me feel better. It’s more fun. It saves on heating bills. It saves on clothes. It makes people happier. Far few people die of the heat than they do the cold.
