Their research reveals that many influencers who use the TikTok platform are earning hundreds to thousands of dollars per month by disseminating misinformation, disinformation, and propaganda that benefits Beijing and Moscow.
The studies align with information presented to Congress on July 22 by U.S. President Donald Trump’s nominee to lead the U.S. military in Africa.
Analysts say China, Russia, and other malign actors are taking advantage of an information void created by the White House’s decision to cut financial aid to Africa, which has impacted the funding of media previously supported by the U.S. government.
In 2024, the Washington-based Africa Center for Strategic Studies documented nearly 200 pro-Kremlin and pro-China social media campaigns in each major region of Africa, with the Chinese regime’s influencers particularly active in Southern and West Africa.
One of Africa’s most popular social media figures has told The Epoch Times she’s receiving money to distribute information that makes Russia and China “happy.”
“This is mostly messages about Trump,” she said, asking that her name be withheld so that she didn’t “anger” her employers and lose income.
She said influencers working for Moscow and Beijing receive payments online via sites that facilitate paid promotions, with South Africa’s Lit marketplace one of the more popular systems.
“The money we’re making like this can be a few thousand dollars every month; it all depends on how popular our posts turn out,” she said.

A zoo in Denmark is asking for donations of small pets as food for its predators.
The Aalborg zoo said it is trying to mimic the natural food chain of the animals housed there “for the sake of both animal welfare and professional integrity” and offers assurances the pets will be “gently euthanized” by trained staff.
The zoo in northern Denmark explained in a Facebook post that “if you have a healthy animal that needs to be given away for various reasons, feel free to donate it to us.”
The zoo points to guinea pigs, rabbits, and chickens as possible donations. After being euthanized, the animals will be used as fodder, the zoo said.
“That way, nothing goes to waste — and we ensure natural behavior, nutrition and well-being of our predators,” the zoo said.
The online call for pet donations is accompanied by a picture of a wildcat baring its teeth with its mouth wide open and a link to the zoo’s website, noting the facility also is interested in receiving horses.

Yet by mid-December, the CIA publicly attributed intent not merely to disrupt but to help Trump win—a stark departure from what agencies, including the FBI and CIA, had privately concluded.
According to a new study published last week in NPJ Vaccines, Japanese researchers engineered an entirely new strain of bird flu, combining the genetic material of two separate wild viruses to create what they call Vac-3: a pathogen that is “a reassortant virus between A/duck/Hokkaido/101/2004 (H5N3) and A/duck/Hokkaido/262/2004 (H6N1).”

The new study comes after NIH-funded researchers at the University of Georgia, Mount Sinai, and Texas Biomed were caught engineering lab-made H5N1 bird flu viruses—one of which killed 100% of exposed mammals—using synthetic DNA constructs and then deliberately infecting live dairy cows, all under the same $59 million federal contract that has also been tied to mammal-adapted, drug-resistant strain development.
Japan is also working with U.S. scientists on other projects to build lab-made horse-human influenza hybrids that replicate 100 times faster than natural strains using aborted fetal cells engineered with the cancer-linked SV40 virus, also under the banner of vaccine development.

Zeldin’s tactic is not to argue the science, which is unsettled, but to challenge the EPA’s authority to classify GHGs as “pollutants” and then, in turn, regulate them as such.
Is climate change primarily caused by mankind? According to much of the scientific establishment, the answer to that question is an unequivocal, yes. Indeed, this view that mankind is responsible for climate change, or as it was previously called, global warming, has become climate dogma.
But as much as politicians, activists, and others claim it is “settled science,” the fact is that it is anything but settled. There remain critical questions and unknowns regarding climate science, as evidenced by repeated instances of climate change projections being proven erroneous.
Climate change has been a constant reality on planet Earth since its beginning, and its causes are not fully known or understood, despite the hubris surrounding the issue. The Earth’s climate is a complex system that scientists are still trying to understand.
Therefore, when a substance such as carbon dioxide — a naturally occurring gas that is an essential component for life on this planet — is labeled a “pollutant,” it’s understandable that some would object.
Of course, the reason carbon dioxide has been classified as such is that the levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere have increased as a result of mankind’s burning of fossil fuels. Scientists link higher saturation levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere with greater heat-trapping effects, concluding that mankind is responsible for global warming, which they warn will have massive negative impacts on the planet should it continue unchecked. That, in a nutshell, is the “science” of anthropogenic climate change.
It is based upon this understanding, this doctrinaire belief, that lawmakers have established laws and regulations to limit fossil fuel-based carbon dioxide emissions. This has been expanded to other human activity that contributes to “greenhouse gases” (GHGs), which include methane gas (also a naturally occurring substance) and other gases.
In the 2007 case Massachusetts v. EPA, the Supreme Court considered the issue of whether the Environmental Protection Agency could regulate GHGs under the Clean Air Act. The Court ruled 5-4 that “greenhouse gases fit well within the Act’s capacious definition of ‘air pollutant,’” meaning the “EPA has statutory authority to regulate emission of such gases.” Tellingly, the Court noted that “policy judgments have nothing to do with whether greenhouse gas emissions contribute to climate change and do not amount to a reasoned justification for declining to form a scientific judgment.” Instead, the Court said that the EPA had the authority to determine whether GHGs “cause or contribute to air pollution which may be reasonably be anticipated to endanger public health or welfare, or whether the science is too uncertain to make a reasoned decision.” This has been referred to as the EPA’s endangerment finding.
The focus in the case was the EPA’s authority to regulate vehicle emissions, but the ruling has been applied much more broadly to effectively encompass any industry that produces GHG emissions.
Of course, the auto industry has been most directly impacted by the Court’s ruling, as the EPA introduced a slew of regulations that have significantly increased the cost of cars. Furthermore, the Biden administration sought to use the EPA’s GHG regulatory power to effectively force automakers into adopting and scaling up production of electric vehicles with the eventual goal of eliminating gas-powered cars entirely. Included in Joe Biden’s erroneously named Inflation Reduction Act, which passed in 2022, was a clause that specifically classified carbon dioxide and other GHGs as “pollutants” regulated by the EPA.
Now, President Donald Trump is pursuing a pro-growth, pro-energy agenda, and his administration has been working to eliminate many of the hurdles to economic growth that the Democrat administrations of both Barack Obama and Biden put in place.

A newly declassified report produced in September 2020 by the House Intelligence Committee revealed that, in 2016, Russian intelligence had obtained internal Democratic National Committee emails alleging that Hillary Clinton was on a daily regimen of heavy tranquilizers and faced several serious illnesses as well.

The report claims that former President Barack Obama and Democratic Party leaders found Clinton’s health issues to be “extraordinarily alarming.”
As of September 2016, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service had DNC information that President Obama and Party leaders found the state of Secretary Clinton’s health to be “extraordinarily alarming,” and felt it could have “serious negative impact” on her election prospects. Her health information was being kept in ‘strictest secrecy’ and even close advisors were not being fully informed.
The Russians also reportedly had information that Clinton “suffered from ‘Type 2 diabetes, Ischemic heart disease, deep vein thrombosis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.’”
According to Fox News, the Russians had also obtained a “campaign email discussing a plan approved by Secretary Clinton to link Putin and Russian hackers to candidate Trump in order to ‘distract the American public’ from the Clinton email server scandal.”

While her main focus was on the portion that related to the Obama administration’s manipulation of the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment on Russian interference in the 2016 election (which I reported on here), Gabbard said there were “high level DNC emails that detailed evidence of Hillary’s, quote, psycho-emotional problems, uncontrolled fits of anger, aggression and cheerfulness, and that then Secretary Clinton was allegedly on a daily regimen of heavy tranquilizers.”
As of September 2016, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) had Democratic National Committee (DNC) information that President Obama and party leaders found the state of Secretary Clinton’s health to be “extraordinarily alarming” and felt it could have “serious negative impact” on her election prospects. Her health information was being kept in “strictest secrecy,” and even close advisors were not being fully informed.
The SVR possessed DNC communications that Clinton was suffering from “intensified psycho-emotional problems, including uncontrolled fits of anger, aggression, and cheerfulness.” Clinton was placed on a daily regimen of “heavy tranquilizers,” and while afraid of losing, she remained “obsessed with a desire for revenge.”
The SVR also had information that Clinton suffered from “Type 2 diabetes, congestive heart disease, deep vein thrombosis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.”
On July 18, 1925, Adolph Hitler’s book Mein Kampf (My Struggle) was published. Written while he was in Landsberg prison, where he was serving a relatively relaxing sentence for the failed 1923 Beer Hall Putsch coup, Hitler made very clear what he would do if the German people put him and the leftist National Socialist Party in power.
Mein Kampf is in two volumes. Part 1 has stories about Hitler’s life, including serving as a soldier in World War I. The book sold a paltry 9,473 copies in its first year. At the time, few people cared what a short man with a funny moustache thought.
Part 2 was published in 1927. Unlike many politicians who hide their true goals, Hitler put it all in his book for the entire world to read. He was very clear about his antisemitic views and what he would do to make Germany Judenfrei if he gained power and could implement his Third Reich agenda.

Sales of the two volumes continued to be slow as many Germans viewed Hitler as more of a comic (funny moustache, short, feminine speaking mannerisms, etc.). At first, they didn’t take him or his left-wing National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP) seriously. In “Hitler Was Incompetent and Lazy—and His Nazi Government Was an Absolute Clown Show,” Tom Phillips writes about how many viewed Hitler as a fool:
In fact, this may even have helped his rise to power, as he was consistently underestimated by the German elite. Before he became Chancellor, many of his opponents had dismissed him as a joke for his crude speeches and tacky rallies. Even after elections had made the Nazis the largest party in the Reichstag, people still kept thinking that Hitler was an easy mark, a blustering idiot who could easily be controlled by smart people.

He’s like a caricature of himself.’ And a lot of them went through this whole litany about how even if Hitler got into a position of power, other German politicians would somehow be able to control him. A lot of German politicians believed this themselves.
Surprisingly, German Jews also did not take Hitler seriously during his early years. In 1925, only a few German Jewish newspapers even bothered to review Mein Kampf. As Raphael Ahren wrote in The Times of Israel article “Why Jews Didn’t Blink an Eye When Mein Kampf First Came Out”:
When Mein Kampf came out for the first time, German Jews hardly noticed it. They certainly did not view it as a threat to their existence, or even as a harbinger of a changing political climate in the Fatherland.
Rahel Straus, a physician who grew up in Karlsruhe, Germany, and emigrated to Palestine in 1933, wrote in her memoirs:
We passed by the boxes of the Volkisher Beobachter (the official organ of the Nazi Party), read the incendiary articles and indignantly continued working. We didn’t realize that this Volkisher Beobachter was one of the most read newspapers in Germany at the time. We saw Hitler’s Mein Kampf on display in every bookstore; none of us bought it, none of us read it.
Slowly, that short man with the funny moustache and his leftist Nazi Party chiseled away at the Weimar Republic. The worldwide depression that started in October 1929 gave them a growing audience of supporters. By 1932, the Nazi Party had become the largest political party in the Reichstag (the German parliament).
One year later, on January 30, 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany by the aging President Paul von Hindenburg. When the 86-year-old Hindenburg died on August 2, 1934, Hitler announced that the office of president and chancellor would merge under the title of Führer und Reichskanzler (leader and chancellor). Those who disagreed were free to discuss the matter at the end of a gun barrel or while laboring in Dachau.
Suddenly, sales of Mein Kampf rose to more than 1 million copies. In 1935, the Franz, Eher, Nacht publishing house suggested to Hitler that a special Mein Kampf version should be given to every newlywed couple on the day of their wedding.
The western world, still reeling from the horrors of World War I, watched what was happening in Germany and worried that another massive worldwide conflict was on the horizon. Meanwhile, Germany was ignoring the Treaty of Versailles while the Allies embraced appeasement.
After signing the Munich Agreement on September 30, 1938, between Great Britain and Germany, Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain flew back to London believing he had prevented a second European war. When Chamberlain, whose name would become synonymous with appeasement, reached the prime minister’s residence at 10 Downing Street, he read a prepared statement:
My good friends, for the second time in our history, a British Prime Minister has returned from Germany bringing peace with honor. I believe it is peace for our time….
British Prime Minister Chamberlain and, to a lesser degree, President Franklin Roosevelt bent like pretzels to avoid a second colossal world war. In the meantime, Winston Churchill, who in 1935 had read the unedited English version of Mein Kampf, was repeatedly telling anyone who would listen that it would be better to stop Hitler now before he rebuilt Germany’s army and arsenal.
Few were listening to Churchill.
By May 10, 1940, when Churchill succeeded Chamberlain as prime minister, Mein Kampf had been in the public square for nearly 15 years and was a best seller in Germany and the occupied Nazi nations. Chamberlain’s years of appeasement had resulted in:
March 7, 1936: Germany invaded and remilitarized the Rhineland.
March 12-13, 1938: Germany annexed Austria (Anschluss).
March 15, 1939: Germany invaded the Czechoslovakia via the provinces of Bohemia and Moravia.
September 1, 1939: Germany invaded Poland.
September 3, 1939: Great Britain declared war on Germany.

Insurers are seeking hefty 2026 rate increases for Affordable Care Act marketplace plans, the coverage known as Obamacare. Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Illinois wants a 27% hike, while its sister Blue Cross plan in Texas is asking for 21%. The largest ACA plans in Washington state, Georgia and Rhode Island are all looking for premiums to surge more than 20%.
The companies say the big increases are needed because of higher healthcare costs and changing federal policy, including cuts to subsidies that help consumers pay for plans. The higher premiums would come after years of enrollment growth and mostly single-digit rate increases in the Obamacare market, where individuals and families buy insurance for themselves. About 24 million people have ACA plans.
At the request of The Wall Street Journal, the health-research nonprofit KFF analyzed the rate requests for the largest ACA plans by enrollment in 17 states where the insurers’ filings have already become public, as well as the District of Columbia. They showed that some of the biggest national ACA players, including Centene and Elevance Health, are seeking double-digit increases in several states. The Blue Cross & Blue Shield plans of Texas and Illinois are both owned by Health Care Service, a giant nonprofit.
Most Obamacare enrollees’ monthly insurance bills will go up substantially next year because of reductions in federal subsidies that help pay for their coverage. Enhanced payments passed by Congress in 2021 will lapse at the end of December. The drop-off in subsidies is both helping to drive higher premiums and making it harder for many consumers to pay them.

The FHFA has formally alerted the Department of Justice (DOJ) of the evidence, triggering an investigation into Schiff’s actions following a series of mortgage-related allegations.
Schiff, who was elected to the Senate in 2024 after years of serving as a House lawmaker, is under intense scrutiny after Trump announced the charges earlier this week.
It was revealed that between 2003 and 2019, Schiff may have falsified documents related to his Maryland-based property to secure more favorable loan terms.
The property in question is located in Potomac, Maryland, just outside Washington, D.C.

CBS News on Thursday announced it will pull the plug on Stephen Colbert’s late-night show next year, stating the decision was “purely financial” and not a reflection on the years-long host.

‘Unprepared and entitled’: College grads unpopular with hiring managers, survey finds
A recent survey from Intelligent found that “1 in 4 hiring managers say recent grads are unprepared for the workforce” and “1 in 8 managers [are] planning to avoid hiring them in 2025.”
The main reasons for this are lack of preparation, a so-so work ethic, and a sense of entitlement among the grads, according to the survey.
“24% of hiring managers believe recent college graduates are unprepared for the workforce, while 33% cite a lack of work ethic, and 29% view them as entitled,” the survey found.
“Additionally, 27% feel recent graduates are easily offended, and 25% say they don’t respond well to feedback.”
The survey results appear to mirror a trend found in recent headlines. A “2025 college graduate job market” search conducted by The College Fix produced the following headlines:

The once epitomized Ivy League institutions of higher education now garner little trust among the American public.
A new poll by the Manhattan Institute found that only 15 percent of voters have a great deal of trust in the elite universities, while 46 percent have little to no trust at all.
Most of those polled said they want to see reforms such as the elimination of diversity, equity, and inclusion and race-based admissions and programs.
Additionally, 64 percent “support requiring universities to advance truth over ideology by enforcing rigorous academic standards, controlling for academic fraud, requiring preregistration of scientific studies, and basing decisions on merit,” the poll found.
The public’s trust in public colleges and universities is a little higher, but not much.
According to the poll, 20 percent said they have a great deal of trust in these institutions, compared to 37 percent who had little to no trust.
“These results place Ivy League colleges among the nation’s least trusted institutions. They draw similar levels of distrust as the media—including newspapers (46% distrust) and TV news (47%)—the Supreme Court (40% distrust), and the Presidency (47%),” according to the institute.
In a national referendum set for November, the people of Switzerland will vote on whether the country should impose a 50% inheritance tax on the wealthiest of people — under a regimen so harsh that not even surviving spouses would be spared from the rapacious confiscation. Naturally, this is triggering predictions of a mass-exodus of wealthy people, with opponents pointing to a wave of departures the United Kingdom has witnessed in the wake of its own recent wealth-seizure move.
Under the proposal, a 50% federal tax would apply to inheritances and gifts above 50 million francs — about $63 million. CNN data analyst Harry Enten recently did a segment on the issue of climate change and almost lost his mind as he reported that a majority of Americans – including Democrats – are not worried about climate change.
He cited data going back to the 1980s and pointed out that concern about this has become stagnant.
Of course, Democrats running for office will continue to push this issue. They have decades invested in climate change and it has become an industry in itself with lots of people making ridiculous amounts of money from it.
“Americans AREN’T afraid of climate change!” Enten said with shock in his voice. “Climate activists have not successfully made the case to the American people!”
The data showed that in 1989, 35 percent of those polled admitted they were greatly afraid, and those numbers have basically stayed the same, with 39 percent feeling that way in 2000, and five years later, that number sits at 40 percent.
“We went back all the way to 1989, look at that, it was 35 percent,” Enten said. “2000, 40 percent. 2020, 46 percent. And in 2025, 40 percent. Which is the exact same percentage as back in 2000.”
“Despite all of these horrible weather events, the percentage of Americans who are greatly worried about climate change has stayed pretty gosh darn consistent,” he added, sounding genuinely flabbergasted. “Which kind of boggles the mind a little bit, granted everything that we see on our television screens, our computer screens.”
“Hurricanes, tornadoes, the flooding,” Enten continued. “But yet, greatly worried about climate change, 40 percent, the exact same percentage as in 2000.”
The Trump administration is moving to ban the sale of U.S. farmland to foreign adversaries, with a particular focus on China, citing national security and food system vulnerabilities, according to MSN/Washington Post.
Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins announced the policy shift Tuesday, saying the administration is preparing an executive order and working with state lawmakers to block further land purchases, especially near military bases.
“With this announcement today we are taking this purpose and our American farmland back,” Rollins said. “American agriculture is not just about feeding our families but about protecting our nation and standing up to foreign adversaries who are buying our farmland, stealing our research and creating dangerous vulnerabilities.”
In a joint press conference with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Rollins said officials are exploring “every available option” to potentially claw back land already purchased by China-linked entities.

“Members of the @ClintonGlobal community are on the ground in Texas, supporting families, communities and ongoing search and rescue efforts,” Clinton wrote in a post on X. The post was heavily ratioed.
“Avoid anything promoted by the Clinton family,” one X user said, referring back to a 2016 BBC article titled “What really happened with the Clintons in Haiti?”
The BBC article cited Haitian activist Dahoud Andre, who had some nasty words to say about the Clintons: “The Clinton family, they are crooks, they are thieves, they are liars.”
CGI has had its fair share of controversies—from cash-for-access and State Department overlap to the Uranium One deal and Haiti earthquake funding. The nonprofit has been under scrutiny for years.
Natural disasters are prime opportunities for nonprofits to market themselves to new donors—in fact, it’s big business. And with recent USAID funding cuts, one has to wonder how many of these organizations are now struggling.
One is that President Donald Trump had issued an executive order suggesting or maybe threatening K-12 sports programs—and indeed, college and higher education as well—that if they allowed biological men to compete in women’s sports, then he was going to consider cutting off federal funds for that.

But at the same time he did it, the number of transgendered women—that is biological men who have transitioned to supposedly women—has increased and soared in women’s sports.
So, here on the West Coast, a trans athlete dominated the state high school track and field competitions, winning three or four main events. The same thing happened in Oregon. The same thing had happened in Washington. The same thing is happening in Minneapolis with girls baseball in the finals.
The point is it’s usually a phenomenon in blue states and in particular, blue cities. And Donald Trump’s executive orders are going the way of sanctuary cities. People are just ignoring them because they feel that he wouldn’t dare cut off federal funds because it would shut down the whole school.

President Trump‘s Justice Department and FBI have concluded they have no evidence that convicted sex offender and disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein blackmailed powerful figures, kept a “client list” or was murdered, according to a memo detailing the findings obtained by Axios.
The administration is releasing a video — in both raw and “enhanced” versions — that it says indicates no one entered the area of the Manhattan prison where Epstein was held the night he died in 2019.
The video supports a medical examiner’s finding that Epstein died by suicide, the two-page memo claims.
Why it matters: The findings represent the first time Trump’s administration has officially contradicted conspiracy theories about Epstein’s activities and his death — theories that had been pushed by the FBI’s top two officials before Trump appointed them to the bureau.
As social media influencers and activists, Kash Patel (now the FBI’s director) and Dan Bongino (now deputy director) were among those in MAGA world who questioned the official version of how Epstein died.
Patel and Bongino have since said Epstein killed himself. But it has become an article of faith online, especially on the right, that Epstein’s crimes also implicated government officials, celebrities and business leaders — and that someone killed him to conceal them.

In October President Trump sued CBS News for $10 billion (now increased to $20 billion) for deceptively editing its ’60 Minutes’ interview with Kamala Harris.
“President Trump brings this action to redress the immense harm caused to him, to his campaign, and to tens of millions of citizens in Texas and across America by CBS’s deceptive broadcasting conduct,” the lawsuit stated, according to Fox News.
Fake news 60 Minutes was caught editing Kamala’s answers to make her sound coherent and normal.

Hollywood actor Pedro Pascal launched an attack against “Harry Potter” series author J.K. Rowling on Tuesday, when a Vanity Fair cover story came out in which he called her a bully who makes him “f***ing sick” for her stance on the transgenderism.
“Bullies make me f***ing sick,” he told Vanity when the topic of J.K. Rowling came up.
The author has been at the center of controversy for her refusal to acknowledge people as being the opposite sex of which they were born.
Pascal reportedly has a self-proclaimed transgender younger sibling and had already gone after Rowling for purportedly exhibiting “heinous loser behavior” earlier this year.
This was due to her celebrating a U.K. Supreme Court ruling that stated self-proclaimed transgender women cannot legally be considered women and self-proclaimed transgender men are not to be legally considered men.
It’s odd how he did not use his up-and-coming clout to “help” his former Disney co-star Gina Carano when she was sandbagged and fired by Disney for expressing personal views on social media about hatred becoming toxic.
Because she invoked Nazi Germany as an example, she was cancelled.
Carano sued Disney and won a recent ruling that will force the conglomerate to produce documents related to Pascal and other actors.
She co-starred with him on “The Mandalorian” as Cara Dune, a fan-favorite character, for two seasons.
Carino is winning her suit against Disney for discrimination, for shit sjust like what Pedro did.
Two legal groups are suing IBM over claims the technology company discriminated against an older white employee for the purpose of advancing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
America First Legal (AFL) and JW Howard Attorneys, LTD, filed a federal lawsuit against IBM on behalf of former employee John Loeffler, 64.
The lawsuit alleges that Loeffler was targeted to “advance IBM’s internal DEI quotas,” accusing the company of violating Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
The lawsuit claims that despite Loeffler’s history of positive performance reviews and successfully leading a $30 million project, IBM placed him on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) with conditions that were “impossible to meet.”
Loeffler objected to the plan and his recently assigned manager, Eric Castillo, conceded that the PIP’s goals were unattainable, according to the lawsuit. Loeffler’s lawyers contend the PIP was intentionally designed to force him out of his role in favor of younger, non-white staff.
“The PIP was pretextually designed to remove Loeffler from his position because he is an older white male,” the lawsuit states. “IBM discriminates in favor of younger workers generally (as the EEOC explicitly found), and, in the name of ‘diversity,’ specifically discriminates against white males”
The lawsuit alleges that, after terminating Loeffler due to his inability to meet the targets, the company replaced him with two younger, non-white employees.

In one of the most stunning upsets for the progressive wing of the Democratic Party since Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s unseating of Joseph Crowley in a 2018 primary battle, state Rep. Zohran Mamdani cruised to an apparent victory in the New York City mayoral primary, handily beating former governor and the presumptive favorite in the race, Andrew Cuomo.
While New York City uses ranked-choice voting and the results won’t be official until next week, Cuomo has already conceded the race with Mamdani ahead by a 43.5 percent to 36.4 percent margin. Given that most polls that had Mamdani winning still had Cuomo ahead in the first round, this means the former governor has no reasonable path forward in the primary, although the ranked-choice balloting will still go forward until a candidate has 50 percent.
Now it’s being reported that some real estate brokers in New York City were flooded with calls from people looking to flee the city within minutes of Mamdani’s win.

According to a note I reviewed, one client who had made an offer on a Chelsea apartment sent her broker an email minutes after former Governor Cuomo conceded to Zohran Mamdani. “We are going to take a break from looking until there’s more clarity on the mayoral election,” the client wrote.

From New York to California, state renewable electrical power dreams are collapsing. Power demands soar, while the federal government cuts funding and support for wind, solar, and grid batteries. For the last two decades, state governments have embraced policies aimed at replacing coal and natural gas power plants with renewable sources. Twenty-three states enacted laws or executive orders to move to 100% Net Zero electricity by 2050. Onshore and offshore wind, utility-scale and rooftop solar, and grid-scale batteries were heavily promoted by states and most federal administrations.
The New York State Climate Action Scoping Plan of 2022 called for 70% renewable electricity by 2030 and 100% by 2040. But 49.7% of the state’s electricity came from gas in 2024, up from 47.7% in 2023. A January executive order issued by President Trump halted federal leases for construction of offshore wind systems. New York, nine other east coast states, and California were counting on offshore wind in efforts to get to 100% renewable electricity, but new offshore wind projects are now halted.
Stephen A. Smith fired back at the NAACP Friday for its decision to snub President Donald Trump from its convention, breaking a 116-year tradition of inviting sitting presidents to speak.
NAACP President Derrick Johnson announced Monday that the sitting president is not invited to the NAACP National Convention, breaking a long-standing tradition of welcoming presidents from both parties. In a Friday episode of “The Stephen A. Smith Show,” Smith questioned the logic behind the decision and called it counterproductive to its stated mission of advocating for the disenfranchised, particularly in urban communities.
“He has been the most powerful, the most influential member of the GOP since 2015,” Smith said. “How do you refusing to invite him, ostracizing him, not wanting to hear what he has to say to you all — how does that help you? How?”
Smith was quick to say he wasn’t advocating for any kind of endorsement or camaraderie with Trump.
“Ignoring him and not even inviting him to come and speak at your convention — what’s that going to accomplish? For the first time in a 116-year history, you’re not inviting a president? Are you trying to tell me that there’s no president that has been as offensive to the NAACP as Donald Trump in 116 years?” Smith asked.

In a historic snub, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has announced that it will not be inviting President Donald Trump to its annual national convention.
The NAACP made the announcement Monday and denigrated Trump’s character in doing so.
“For 116 years, the NAACP has invited the sitting president of the United States to address the NAACP National Convention — regardless of their political party,” NAACP president and CEO Derrick Johnson said in a statement.
“There is a rich history of both Republicans and Democrats attending our convention — from Harry Truman to Dwight D. Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and beyond.
Like Obama, she would dither and let Iran continue to verbally bully us and threaten our existence.
A former staffer to Presidents Joe Biden and Bill Clinton has admitted that Former Vice President Kamala Harris wouldn’t have displayed the “the courage or fortitude” that President Donald Trump demonstrated in order to take out Iran’s nuclear program.
“I voted for Kamala Harris and have been a vocal critic of many dangerous and undemocratic actions taken by President [Donald] Trump. I’m not a blind tribalist and am perfectly comfortable praising President Trump for bold and courageous actions in support of America’s core national interests, as he took last night,” Jamie Metzl, who served on the National Security Council staff during the Clinton administration and as a Senate staffer for Biden, stated on Sunday.
“Although I believe electing Kamala Harris would have been better for our democracy [and] society,” he went on. “I also believe VP Harris would not have had the courage or fortitude to take such an essential step as the president took last night.”

The past year has been a true test of the effectiveness of local leadership. City leaders have had to deal with economic difficulties like high inflation, as well as other issues such as mass shootings with over 500 reported in 2024, keeping gun crime in the political spotlight.

Does ChatGPT harm critical thinking abilities? A new study from researchers at MIT’s Media Lab has returned some concerning results.
The study divided 54 subjects—18 to 39 year-olds from the Boston area—into three groups, and asked them to write several SAT essays using OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google’s search engine, and nothing at all, respectively. Researchers used an EEG to record the writers’ brain activity across 32 regions, and found that of the three groups, ChatGPT users had the lowest brain engagement and “consistently underperformed at neural, linguistic, and behavioral levels.” Over the course of several months, ChatGPT users got lazier with each subsequent essay, often resorting to copy-and-paste by the end of the study.
The paper suggests that the usage of LLMs could actually harm learning, especially for younger users. The paper has not yet been peer reviewed, and its sample size is relatively small. But its paper’s main author Nataliya Kosmyna felt it was important to release the findings to elevate concerns that as society increasingly relies upon LLMs for immediate convenience, long-term brain development may be sacrificed in the process.
“What really motivated me to put it out now before waiting for a full peer review is that I am afraid in 6-8 months, there will be some policymaker who decides, ‘let’s do GPT kindergarten.’ I think that would be absolutely bad and detrimental,” she says. “Developing brains are at the highest risk.”
A nonprofit affiliated with the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement is asking “white folks” for monetary reparations as its finances have dwindled in recent years.
Black Lives Matter Grassroots made a series of demands for assistance to “our people” and to hold white Americans “accountable” in a Thursday press release honoring Juneteenth, a holiday commemorating the liberation of slaves in the U.S. The group laid out requests for specific ethnic groups, reiterating its brand of leftist identity politics that has lost significant amounts of public support, according to May polling from Pew Research Center.
Black Lives Matter Grassroots Director Melina Abdullah has also been accused of spending some of the nonprofit’s cash to pay for a personal vacation to Jamaica, according to The Washington Free Beacon. The organization “had total holdings of roughly $24 million” in January 2022, according to a letter from an attorney tasked by BLM leaders with investigating the various financial issues.
The group began reporting its finances publicly for the 2023 tax year, showing it started the year with nearly $4 million in assets. However, that figure fell to nearly $2,600,000, tax records show, and Black Lives Matter Grassroots raked in just $77,084 in revenue against $1,449,018 in expenses in 2023.

The 2020 election has always been under a cloud of suspicion, thanks in large part to the unusual circumstances of a global pandemic, which Democrats and their cohorts in the mainstream media clearly exploited to their advantage.
How else does one explain the fact that the “winning” candidate, who campaigned from his basement and was already manifestly not fit for office, was able to garner the most votes in U.S. presidential election history? It couldn’t possibly have had anything to do with the fact that millions of votes were cast via mail-in ballots, rather than people showing up at polling stations to cast their vote in person.
Of course, the mainstream media dogma on the 2020 election is that it was the “most secure in history.” Furthermore, anyone who dares to question that dogma is tarred as an “election denier” and a “threat to democracy” on par with the worst of the worst January 6 rioters.
It has become a tired, over-referenced, and fundamentally dishonest litmus test used by Leftmedia pundits and commentators designed to disparage anyone who fails to agree as some conspiracy kook.
Yet following Donald Trump’s presidential election victory last November, it may be tempting to simply drop any further debate over the 2020 election. Trump is now president again, and arguably, his time away from the office has put him in a stronger position to move forward with his agenda than he would have been if he had maintained the office in 2020.
Despite this reality, some Republican lawmakers still want answers. One of them is Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa. Grassley requested and recently received from the FBI declassified intelligence reports regarding foreign election interference efforts ahead of the 2020 election.
According to FBI Director Kash Patel, who ordered these reports declassified, they “include allegations of plans from the [Chinese Communist Party] CCP to manufacture fake driver’s licenses and ship them into the United States for the purpose of facilitating fraudulent mail-in ballots — allegations which, while substantiated, were abruptly recalled and never disclosed to the public.” Patel called the reports “alarming allegations related to the 2020 U.S. election, including allegations of interference by the CCP.”
Back in the summer of 2020, the FBI was alerted to the scheme that the Chinese government was manufacturing fake driver’s licenses in a plot to cast mail-in votes in the election. This scheme was apparently later corroborated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which intercepted some 20,000 fake U.S. driver’s licenses around the time the FBI received the intelligence. Furthermore, the informant claimed the plot was intended to benefit Biden.
So, what did the FBI do with the intel? Well, to put it briefly, the Bureau gave it the Jedi mind trick treatment: “Nothing to see here; move along.”
Is Juneteenth being swallowed up – and swept away – by the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) movement? In the shadow of some scientific research lies the potential for catastrophic consequences. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s virology program, spearheaded by Dr. Ralph Baric, deserves attention for technical achievement but also for questionable safety practices.
According to an Aug. 17, 2020 ProPublica investigation and a follow-up piece, from 2015 to 2020 UNC-Chapel Hill reported 28 lab accidents involving genetically engineered viruses, including six genetically engineered coronaviruses accidents, to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). In one mishap — in April 2020, 90 days into the pandemic — a UNC researcher was bitten on the index finger by a mouse infected with a novel SARS-CoV-2 variant created in Chapel Hill. While we were shut in our homes, the researcher was asked to self-quarantine for 14 days, and the local health department was notified of the incident.
It is helpful to judge public health risk as a relative matter with more than one data point. Since 1952, NC State University has operated a campus nuclear reactor in downtown Raleigh closely regulated by state and federal authorities. If there were a radiation accident, no one would disagree it would be an acute health risk to the region. Therefore, the reactor is monitored by the government.
Compared to other risks, virology research at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health involving SARS-CoV-2, MERS coronavirus, and related animal coronaviruses operates in an unmonitored, unregulated environment, posing potentially catastrophic global consequences if mishandled. This unmonitored, unregulated research is both a local and a global concern.
Recent documents obtained by court order by the public advocacy non-profit US Right to Know (USRTK) reveal that UNC developed and then exported dangerous coronavirus technologies and coronavirus research plans in the years leading up to the pandemic.

A growing number of Juneteenth events across the U.S. are being scaled back or canceled as local governments and companies retreat from Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives—a broader trend that critics say reflects growing public fatigue with corporate activism.
In Denver, one of the country’s largest Juneteenth celebrations was forced to slash its programming after more than a dozen corporate sponsors pulled out. Norman Harris, executive director of the Juneteenth Music Festival, said:
“There were quite a few sponsors who pulled back their investments or let us know they couldn’t or wouldn’t be in a position to support this year,” said Harris, who has overseen the event for more than a decade.
The two-day event in the city’s historic Five Points neighborhood was cut to just one day. Harris added:
“Thankfully, there was a wide range of support that came when we made the announcement that the celebration is in jeopardy.”
It’s not just Denver. In West Virginia, Juneteenth events were canceled altogether, with the governor’s office citing financial strain. The announcement followed Gov. Patrick Morrisey’s signing of legislation to eliminate all DEI programs statewide. His office said:
“Due to the continued fiscal challenges facing West Virginia, state government will not be sponsoring any formal activities,” deputy press secretary Drew Galang said in an email.
I should (can’t) overlook their Muslim problem and that they are being invaded and don’t know it, but to buy into this climate nonsense and spend waste that much money on it baffles one with an IQ of 3 digits.
We looked at the new Spending Review, which has allocated £45.1 billion to Mad Miliband’s DESNZ to spend in the next four years.
I thought I would also try to put some costings on other Government expenditure which is devoted to the pursuit of Net Zero.
£2.6 billion over Phase 2 (2026/27 to 2029/30) for decarbonising transport
£2.3 billion for local transport “improvements”, including cycle lanes and bus lanes, again over Phase 2
£2.7 billion a year for sustainable farming and nature recovery.
The Renewable Heat Incentive at £1.3 billion a year.
In addition there is international climate aid, which will be funded out of the Official Development Assistance budget. This has been running at over £3 billion a year for this year and last.
Then there is revenue foregone by the refusal to make EV drivers pay their proper share of car tax. Fuel duties currently bring around £24 billion a year. Currently there are about 1.5 million BEVs on the road, 5% of the total; so the Treasury is already losing about £1 billion in revenue. By 2030, the number of electric cars could potentially rise to 7 million, leaving a blackhole of £5 million a year.
There are many other costs incurred which are simply impossible to quantify or remain hidden from public view. For instance:
The Affordable Homes Programme, which includes funding for energy efficient homes
Local Government Funding, some of which is channelled to decarbonisation initiative
Electric ambulances
£15.6 billion for local transport in cities
Decarbonisation of public buildings, paid for through the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme
