Europe On Path To War Economy: Rheinmetall Opens Continent’s Largest Ammo Factory

In Unterlüß, Lower Saxony, Europe’s largest ammunition factory began production yesterday. What started clandestinely is now being publicly scaled with full firepower: the European Union is building its own war economy.

In the good old days in Germany, recessions were typically masked by state-funded infrastructure programs. The concept worked as long as the state did not overgrow, overregulate, or force the private sector into a destructive ideological agenda, as is the case with the green transformation. In other words: the economy was always able to clear away the debris left behind by the state.

Southern Europe Could Never Recover
In Southern Europe, where the state’s role has traditionally been high, monetary policy generous, and handling of public funds notoriously lax, this policy left nothing but infrastructure ruins and industrial wastelands. Local economies were never able to productively absorb the artificial credit distributed by Brussels. The fatal consequences of this pseudo-boom still shape the landscape today.

For economic historians, present-day Europe has long been a fascinating study object. Crisis followed crisis, with the public sector intervening each time with increasing volume. The attempt to install the Green Deal, a Keynesian pseudo-economy, must be understood in this context. That Germany’s defense company Rheinmetall yesterday launched Europe’s largest ammunition plant in Unterlüß fits into this narrative.

The company invested half a billion euros to provide an annual capacity of up to 350,000 rounds by 2027. 500 new jobs are to be created, celebrated by politicians as a turning point and the beginning of a pan-European defense architecture.

Ceremony and Half-Truths
Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger expressed satisfaction: “It was not easy for us to invest half a billion without orders. I am very grateful to you”—the words were directed at Defense Minister Pistorius—“for keeping your handshake agreements. You are a man of word and deed.” A heavy dose of pathos and self-congratulation is evident here—politics and the defense industry are long intertwined.

Of course, this is only half the truth. Beyond the usual behind-the-scenes deals, politics has made it clear that it is ready to mobilize all means to build a German defense industry and provide sector companies with guarantees and subsidies where necessary. Big business, no risk.

After the collapse of the green economy, politics is now betting everything on the next pseudo-economy. The aim is to loosen dependence on America while exploiting the media spin that stylized Vladimir Putin’s Russia over years as a potential European invader. Whether this fear campaign will work in the long term remains to be seen.

No One Will Fight for Merz or Macron
Given the deep economic depression in which Germany and large parts of the EU are stuck, the general war fatigue, and social fractures in core EU states like Germany and France, it is clear that despite the reinstatement of conscription, most citizens will rigorously reject military engagement.

A glance at EU public finances alone is enough to recognize that a war against Russia is political madness. France, with a debt-to-GDP ratio of 115%, is days away from a confidence vote on the new austerity budget. Bond markets are already punishing these bankrupt states. The signs point to savings, not bellicose adventures.

Absurd and Destructive
It is absurd in this situation—where Germany has almost fully spent the so-called Bundeswehr special fund of €100 billion and now switches to borrowing mode—to accelerate this path. Yet Brussels, Berlin, Paris, and London are serious. In fall 2026, Rheinmetall plans to launch its next plant in Weeze, producing fuselage components for the F-35 fighter jet. Cost: €200 million, this time directly publicly funded.

Defense factories will mushroom in the coming months and years, producing far beyond civilian demand. Germany plans to raise its defense budget to up to 5% of GDP, which will worsen the impoverishment of its population as the private sector already shrinks by 4–5%. A disaster unseen in Europe since the end of the war.

A hot conflict with Russia is economically highly unlikely. Yet a new Cold War, a state of continuous armament like before 1990, seems to be Europe’s goal. They are trapped in an absurd economic theory of central planning and command economy. A new power base is forming: a corporatism between the defense industry and the political complex in Brussels.

Germany as Anchor
Germany has clearly been chosen to finance this economic disaster. The country, previously with one of the lowest debt ratios in the EU at 64%, will double its annual defense budget to €162 billion by 2029. By 2027, the special fund will be exhausted, after which loans up to €400 billion will be required.

Germany will become an active player in bond markets, where interest rates are already rising. The European Central Bank will have plenty of work to keep the rapidly growing debt pile liquid. The EU will also participate with new funds, EDIP and ASAP (a term bordering on infantilism in this context), contributing €50–70 billion annually to joint defense projects.

No Lessons Learned
While Germany’s civilian industry collapses, factories close in droves, and the country moves toward mass unemployment—with all consequences for social funds and the domestic climate—we now witness one grand opening after another: pompous inaugurations of defense plants, with champagne popping at our expense.

Europe has learned nothing from the green pseudo-economy disaster. It refuses to analyze how Germany and other industrial centers were deindustrialized. The fatal consequence of building a war economy is that it will siphon scarce resources from productive sectors on a massive scale, making financing and developing civilian enterprises nearly impossible.

Germany is being technologically left behind and bombing its own prosperity—in the literal sense.

“The United States is in a race to achieve global dominance in artificial intelligence. Whoever has the largest AI ecosystem will set global AI standards and reap broad economic and military benefits.”

– America’s AI Action Plan, July 25, 2025

That’s the U.S. government’s own language. An arms race.

Artificial intelligence is no longer framed as a research project or an economic opportunity. It is being cast as a struggle for survival and global power, a modern Manhattan Project.

Yet just last week, on Aug. 26, the Congressional Research Service released a Frequently Asked Questions memo designed to help lawmakers get on the same page about the basics: what a data center is, how many exist, and how much electricity data centers consume.

If even government institutions are still in the process of aligning their understanding, it’s clear that citizens will need to move quickly to understand what is happening and to understand what it means for their daily lives.

The memo laid out in plain language what many assumed lawmakers already understood.

A data center is a specialized building that houses thousands of servers. There are about seven thousand worldwide, with the largest concentration in the United States, especially in Northern Virginia and Texas. In 2022, American data centers consumed about 176 terawatt-hours of electricity—roughly 4 percent of all U.S. demand, more than many entire states. Projections suggest an additional 35 to 108 gigawatts of demand by 2030. The midpoint estimate, 50 gigawatts, is enough to power every home in California.

The very fact that such a memo was necessary highlights a structural reality: the pace of technological build out is outstripping the pace of legislative comprehension. If institutions themselves are still catching up, it underscores how important it is for citizens to get informed now, before the costs mount even higher.

While Congress is being briefed on “Data Centers 101,” the executive branch has been preparing all year for the AI race that is already underway:

On January 20, 2025, the White House declared a National Energy Emergency.

It Was A Sham The Whole Time: NY Times, Ben Casselman Hardest Hit: BLS Overestimated Biden-Era Jobs by 911,000

I haven’t trusted the NY Times since I’ve been alive. As for Biden, history will judge him, but it’s not looking good for him. He’s competing with Woodrow Wilson (racist), Jimmy Carter (incompetent), Obama (Ditherer and America hater)

For all of New York Times chief economics correspondent Ben Casselman’s fussbudgeting over President Donald Trump supposedly compromising the reliability of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, a new report pointing to gross BLS ineptitude just made him look like a complete idiot.

The Bidenomics simp Casselman was forced to report that the BLS overestimated jobs growth during the Biden era — AGAIN — this time by nearly 1 million (-911,000) in the 12-month period ending March 2025, the largest revision on record. Casselman conceded that it was the “latest sign that the labor market, until recently a bright spot in the economy, may be weaker than it initially appeared.”

Remember: this scandalously politicized Fake News came out during the election season.

What makes this worse is that Casselman is the same person who co-wrote an embellished pre-election Day report slobbering all over Biden jobs market October 5, 2024:“The Job Market Is Chugging Along, Completing a Solid Economic Picture.” Like the cherry on top of this luscious-looking pile of crow, Casselman praised how “And the incoming evidence points to a clear conclusion: The economy is robust … In fact, the [September BLS] report reinforced that by many measures, the job market is as healthy as it has ever been.”

Do Doctors Make Money Off Vaccines? A Look At Incentives And Bonus Structures

It’s worse than you think. The stats and link are at the bottom. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

“Doctors are being paid to vaccinate, not to evaluate,” Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said in a recent video.

“They’re pressured to follow the money, not the science.”

Doctors administer dozens of vaccines to many children in the United States. Adults are also advised to receive multiple shots.

Here’s what to know about vaccines and payments.

What Does the Literature Say?

A review of studies confirms that some doctors profit from vaccinating.

In a 2020 paper, researchers found when analyzing three years’ worth of vaccination claims for five Colorado clinics that reimbursements averaged 125 percent of costs, making administering vaccines “financially favorable across the practices.”

Another study found that various providers in North Carolina, when receiving the maximum payment for reimbursement from insurers or the government, profited from vaccinating patients. Even if they received the minimum payment, pediatric and family medicine practices still reported positive income, according to the 2019 study.

On the other hand, other doctors say the costs of administering certain vaccines to certain people exceed the vaccine payments.

In a survey of 34 pediatricians, for instance, more than half said they do not profit from vaccinating, according to a 2009 paper.

A number of practitioners have also said they face escalating costs associated with vaccination, such as staffing, leading them to stop or consider stopping providing vaccines to patients with private insurance.

Reimbursement for vaccinating patients varies depending on whether patients have private or public insurance. Under a program called Vaccines for Children, the government also provides vaccines to doctors for free. It does not pay for related costs, but doctors can charge an administration fee that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says “helps providers offset their costs of doing business,” with the maximum varying by state.

What About Those Bonuses?

Doctors can make extra money for vaccinating under incentive programs from insurers, as highlighted by Brian Hooker, a senior scientist with Children’s Health Defense—a group Kennedy chaired through 2023—and other witnesses during a hearing in July on vaccines held by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.).

“Some pediatricians can make upwards to a million or more a year just in those incentives,” Hooker said.

Asked for citations, Hooker pointed The Epoch Times to documents he collected from insurance companies that list available bonuses.

Links to those and other documents that outline incentives and are available online are provided below:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Care Network of Michigan: $400 per child who receives a set of 24 or 25 vaccine doses on or before their second birthday.
  • Aetna Better Health of Louisiana: $10–$25 per member, depending on level of COVID-19 vaccination coverage practice-wide.
  • Molina Healthcare of Ohio: $100 incentive for COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Medicaid: $50 per individual aged 6 months and older who received a COVID-19 vaccine by Dec. 31, 2022.
  • United Healthcare Community Plan of Michigan: Incentives for patients who receive the meningococcal, Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis), and HPV vaccines by their 13th birthday.
  • Meridian: Up to $120 per child who receives the 24 or 25 doses by their second birthday, or adolescents who received three certain doses by their 13th birthday, capped at $9,600 for each category.
  • BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois: $149 for each child, if 63 percent or more meet criteria, who received the 24 or 25 vaccine doses by the time they turn 2.
  • Central California Alliance for Health: Bonuses for children who receive at least 24 doses by the time they turn 2 and the three certain doses before they turn 13.

The sets of vaccines for which providers receive bonuses are recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Average wealth is calculated by dividing a country’s total household wealth by its adult population. While useful, this figure can be skewed by large wealth concentrations at the very top—such as billionaire holdings.

Below are the top 15 countries with the highest average wealth per adult in 2025:

Switzerland once again leads globally, with average wealth per adult at $687,166. The United States follows closely at $620,654, while Hong Kong ranks third at $601,195.

As in previous years, many of the top-ranking countries are small but globally influential financial hubs like Hong Kong and Luxembourg.

A notable change from last year is that the U.S. rose from fourth rank ($564K) in 2024 to second in 2025 with an average wealth of $621K per adult.

When you are a DEI appointee, break the law, cheat the IRS and be a semi-lunatic about your crime, yes, you are the Asshole of the Week.

The Justice Department has filed a response to Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook’s lawsuit over her Monday firing – claiming that the President was within his right to boot her over allegations of mortgage fraud (with a third property disclosed by Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) Director Bill Pulte last night), and that Cook is “highly unlikely to prevail on the merits.”

Trump’s legal team argues that the Federal Reserve Act (FRA) gives the President “broad discretion” to remove governors “for cause” and that courts cannot second-guess that judgment:

The Federal Reserve Act (FRA) empowers the President of the United States to appoint (by and with the advice and consent of the Senate) the members of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. 12 U.S.C. § 241. Those Governors serve for fixed terms, “unless sooner removed for cause by the President.” Id. § 242. The statute thus expressly contemplates that, even setting aside his Article II authority over principal officers, the President retains broad discretion to remove a Governor for “cause.”

Citing Reagan v. United States (1901) and Dalton v. Specter (1994), they write “Where a statute commits decisionmaking to the discretion of the President, judicial review of the President’s decision is not available,” therefore Cook cannot get a temporary restraining order allowing her to stay in her job.

The Student Debt Racket – the predictable result of decades of government interference.

Follow the Money

The vicious cycle is obvious. So why not stop raising the loan maximums? Because higher education is a $200+ billion industry. Even in the public university system, an entrenched bureaucracy is getting wealthy off high tuition. The corrupt cycle looks like this: university administrators and faculty unions donate to left-wing super PACs. In return, they ask for increased student loan limits and more federal grants under the banner of increasing “affordability” for students. Universities then raise tuition and funnel the new money into raises, administrative expansion, and campus construction projects. Then, faculty members continue indoctrinating students to vote for far-left candidates, and the racket continues.

Forbes article stated the following:

Between 1976 and 2018, full-time administrators and other professionals employed by those institutions increased by 164% and 452%, respectively. Meanwhile, the number of full-time faculty employed at colleges and universities in the U.S. increased by only 92%, marginally outpacing student enrollment which grew by 78%.”

University administrators are not using the increased tuition revenue to create smaller class sizes or improve student’s education. They are inflating the bureaucracy to create a colossal social justice organization.

Graduation now depends on ideological coursework; every student in the California State University system’s 23 campuses must take a class in ethnic studies or social justice. The point is twofold: indoctrinate students in radical leftist ideology and create education jobs for graduates with useless degrees like San Francisco State’s Social Justice Education program. It’s a pyramid scheme designed to enrich the academic elite and cement progressive dogma in the young professional class.

Universities are so effective at converting students into activists that the education system can’t even afford to employ them all. We have begun to see the private sector’s culture shift to placate the radical employees coming out of colleges. So many young adults have fallen under the spell of left-wing cultural ideology that an entirely new industry has appeared out of thin air. “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” training and consulting is now a $15 billion industry. Firms now feel obligated to create mandatory training programs under pressure from young employees. These consulting fees are nothing but tributes to activists in exchange for a “Get-Out-Of-Jail-Free” card in case an employee says something in public contrary to leftist social doctrine. While universities have succeeded at getting rich by indoctrinating students and poisoning our culture, they’ve also buried an entire generation in debt.

The Hidden Cost Of Europe’s Free Education

My wife is Scandinavian. I’ve heard 3 decades of shit from them about free education, free medical, and free money if you can’t work or are going to school, or basically, if you are alive, you can suck off the system. There are a lot of illegals and goat herders who are getting free money also. Someone is paying for it.

The problem I point out is that their 70% tax rate is paying for this.

The other problem is that almost everyone in her family who got an operation had to either have it redone or had results that would be malpractice were it not socialized medicine.

Not all of her country finishes high school. So much for the education.

Even they don’t believe it is free anymore. Their argument couldn’t hold water as soon as I asked a couple of questions about how the economics work. They can be insufferable so the less we talk, usually the better, for me at least. You can only listen to so much shit before it gets old and it got old for me decades ago.

Now This:

Europe’s free university model is often seen as a triumph of modern society. With no crushing tuition bills, minimal student debt, and a promise of equal access, it sounds ideal. In countries like Germany and France, students pay only a small administrative fee, typically between $200 and $500 a year, compared to the staggering tuition costs in the US or UK. Many also receive financial aid in the form of grants that don’t need to be repaid, or low-interest loans based on need.

But behind the promises of fairness and opportunity lies a system that too often feels rigid, overcrowded, and uninspiring.

For all its accessibility, the reality of navigating these institutions can leave students feeling like just another number in a giant, bureaucratic machine.

When education is available to everyone, universities become packed. Lecture halls overflow, and personal contact with professors becomes rare. In many European countries, it is normal to attend classes with hundreds of other students. There is little space for discussion, feedback, or even questions.

You sit, you take notes, you pass or fail. It feels more like an assembly line than a place for learning. And the numbers explain why. In 2022, the European Union had 18.8 million students, about 7 percent of its total population, enrolled in tertiary education. In the United States, about 19.1 million people were enrolled in college during the 2024–25 academic year. In addition to similar enrollment figures, both the EU and the US have made higher education widely accessible. In the EU, where tuition is often free or heavily subsidized, higher education has been expanded to accommodate the majority. As of 2022, 44 percent of EU citizens aged 25–34 had completed a tertiary degree, compared to 50 percent in the US.

The two systems differ in structure. What sets these systems apart is not the number of students, but how education is delivered. European universities tend to rely on large lectures, rigid course pathways, and limited institutional competition. The result is a model built for efficiency over individualization. US institutions, by contrast, operate in a competitive, decentralized environment with a wider range of academic structures, including smaller colleges and more flexible program design.

When higher education is scaled to serve nearly everyone, as in much of Europe, it risks trading depth for throughput and personalization for administrative convenience. It works, but at the cost of treating education less as a journey and more as a bureaucratic process.

So I’m tired of hearing about their system. They are about to turn out a bunch of substandard students not to mention all of the illegals.

Try Making SNL Funny, That Might Work – Or Less Biased

I was around for the first seasons of SNL. Sure, I suffered through the bumble bees, but I got to see Chee-Burger, Samurai Chef, Bass-o-matic and Lord and Lady Douchebag.

NBC’s Saturday Night Live is preparing for what its creator and longtime producer Lorne Michaels described as a “significant shake-up” in the cast ahead of the launch of its 51st season this fall.

In an interview with Matthew Belloni of Puck, Michaels, 80, said decisions on which performers would remain on the sketch show will be finalized “in a week or so.”

While he did not name specific individuals, he confirmed that “several current cast members are expected to exit” before the season premiere on October 4.

When asked whether he intended to make changes ahead of the new season, Michaels responded simply: “Yes.”

He added that the announcement on cast adjustments will come shortly before production resumes.

The show enters its new season following the departure of cast members Punkie Johnson and Molly Kearney, who confirmed in early August that they would not return.

The current roster includes 17 players, with notable figures such as Colin Jost, Bowen Yang, and Kenan Thompson among the best-known names.

Cracker Barrel Trying To Overtake Jaguar In Wokeness

“Cracker Barrel” is currently trending on X (along with “Texas Democrats” and “Newscum”) with a reported 25,000 posts. The last time we checked in on Cracker Barrel was April of 2024, when its new CEO said the brand wasn’t as “relevant” as it used to be and that the brand had to be “revitalized.”

We’ve made fun of brand revitalizations before, such as the barely perceptible update to Walmart’s logo to Jaguaur’s radical and widely panned “woke” rebrand that tanked its sales. Cracker Barrel on Wednesday unveiled its revitalized logo, and people aren’t thrilled with it..

This was the first thing I thought of also.

“Super Steel”: China Unveils Game-Changing Cryogenic Steel for Fusion Reactors

China has developed a breakthrough material, CHSN01 (China high-strength low-temperature steel No 1), capable of withstanding extreme cold and massive magnetic forces, and deployed it this year in the world’s first fusion nuclear power generation reactor, according to SCMP.

The steel puts China at the forefront of materials science and could have applications beyond fusion.

The ultra-strong cryogenic steel meets the demands of superconducting magnets operating near absolute zero and in magnetic fields of up to 20 Tesla. It can endure stresses of 1,300MPa and has superior fatigue resistance to traditional alloys. “In addition to its applications in superconductivity, this steel can also be used in other related areas,” said Zhao Zhongxian, a top Chinese physicist.

Development began after a 2011 setback at the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) in France, where cryogenic steel turned brittle under testing.

Pentagon Awards Contracts To 4 Artificial Intelligence Developers

Nothing could go wrong here. Maybe they can develop a Wopr from War Games.

The U.S. Department of Defense announced on July 14 that it has awarded contracts to four U.S.-based artificial intelligence (AI) developers to address national security challenges. (will they announce how much it’s going to run over budget?)

Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, and xAI will each receive a contracting award with a ceiling of $200 million, according to a statement shared by the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office.

The office said these four companies would help “develop agentic AI workflows across a variety of mission areas.”

“Agentic AI” refers to systems designed to operate with minimal human input.

Formed in 2021, the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office is responsible for speeding up the military’s adoption of AI systems.

OpenAI was the first of the four contract awardees to announce its contract with the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office.

In June, the company unveiled “OpenAI for Government” and said its first partnership under the new initiative would help the Pentagon office identify and prototype new AI tools for administrative operations.

Anthropic has developed the Claude family of AI chatbots.

In June, Anthropic announced the development of custom “Claude Gov” models intended for national security clients.

The company said agencies operating at the highest level of the U.S. national security sector are already using these AI models.

Formed by billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk in 2023, xAI serves as a parent to X Corp., which operates the social media platform X. Among its services, xAI has developed the Grok AI chatbot.

On July 14, xAI announced “Grok for Government” and confirmed that the service holds contracts with the Department of Defense and the U.S. General Services Administration.

Google Public Sector Vice President Jim Kelly said in a July 14 blog post that the new AI announcement with the Department of Defense would build on a long-standing partnership between Google and the U.S. military.

Kelly said his company would give the military access to its Cloud Tensor Processing Units, which power Google’s current AI applications.

“These advanced AI solutions will enable the DoD to effectively address defense challenges and scale the adoption of agentic AI across enterprise systems to drive innovation and efficiency with agile, proven technology,” Kelly wrote.

Money Or Love? What Did Gen Z Pick?

The best looking girl I ever took to bed told me that her answer was Money. Her voice had a southern accent that would melt you if you got past her beauty.

Anyway, after that comment, I knew from that instant we would be nothing but bed buddies. What kills me is that I was broke at the time. All I had to offer was a good time, no frills. A girl like that could get anyone, but gave me a few months of her life. She got her millionaire eventually (and got rid of him). I got free from a lot of future head and heartaches.

Now this…….

Nearly Half of Gen Z Say They Would Choose Financial Stability Over Love

In a heartbreaking sign of just how badly the Biden-Harris economic disaster has affected America’s youth, a shocking new survey revealed that nearly half of Gen Z, 46 percent, would abandon all hope of romance for money.

Matchmaking company Tawkify surveyed 1,000 Americans to “explore how daters today weigh love, money, and emotional baggage,” and the results were disheartening.

The pollsters found:

Millennials are likeliest to choose love over money: 59% would prioritize a “broke and magical” relationship over financial security compared to 54% of Gen Z, 48% of baby boomers, and 46% of Gen X.

Gen X is the most financially pragmatic, with 52% choosing security over romance.

Women are likelier than men to choose love over money: 58% of women would prioritize a “broke and magical” relationship over financial security, compared to only 51% of men.

Nearly 7 in 10 Americans (69%) have stayed in a relationship longer than they should have due to shared finances; 44% of these situations were temporary, and 25% were long-term.

Not only would Gen Z give up love for cash, the pollsters found that 29 percent would consider “reuniting with an ex-partner if that person became wealthy.”

So just like the girl who gave me the goods for a few months, they are shallow. The good part was that I worked with the girl I was sleeping with. These days it would get you fired, but not then.

These Are America’s 25 Largest Private Landowners

The U.S. is known for its massive public national parks, but a handful of families and entrepreneurs also own tracts of land that would dwarf some states.

This infographic, via Visual Capitalist’s Niccolo Conte, ranks America’s 25 largest private landowners in 2025 and shows just how concentrated ownership has become.

The data for this visualization comes from The Land Report, which annually tracks the nation’s biggest deed holders. Its 2025 investigations reveals a timber-heavy top tier, diversified ranching empires in the middle, and a sprinkling of tech titans and investors rounding out the list.

Timber Kings Still Rule the Landowner List

Red Emmerson and his family control 2.44 million acres across California, Oregon, and Washington, making them America’s largest private landowners in 2025.

For reference, this is more than 3x Rhode Island’s land area.

Three of the top five landowners—Emmerson, Malone, and the Reed family—built (or expanded) their holdings in commercial forestry.

Timber acres offer steady cash flow, long-term capital appreciation, and valuable carbon-offset potential, which helps explain why Wall Street has shown renewed interest in forests.

These vast, contiguous tracts also give owners leverage in biodiversity markets and provide a hedge against inflation, making timberland an attractive multigenerational asset.

America’s Economic Engines: The Biggest Industry In Every State

Ever wondered what fuels each state’s economy? In most cases, the biggest industry is either real estate or manufacturing.

This Markets in a Minute graphic, via Visual Capitalist’s Jenna Ross, in partnership with Terzo, highlights the industry contributing the most to GDP in every state.

The Biggest Industry Ranking

Real estate powers the economy in over half of states. This is largely because the Bureau of Economic Analysis treats homeowners as landlords renting to themselves, and includes the rental value in GDP. If economists did not include this value, a jump in the homeownership rate would cause GDP to drop.

On top of this, the real estate industry includes rent paid by renters, property taxes, construction, remodeling, and brokers’ fees.

Some industry names have been shortened including real estate and rental and leasing; mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction; federal civilian and state and local government; and professional, scientific, and technical services.

In second place, manufacturing is the biggest industry in 13 states. Its prominence is heavily concentrated in the Midwest and the South thanks to the long history of the sector in some states, large plots of available land, and government support.

Rare Economic Leaders

Outside of real estate and manufacturing, some industries are the top GDP driver in a much smaller number of states.

For instance, finance and insurance is the biggest industry in New York, Delaware, Nebraska, and South Dakota. Over half of publicly-traded U.S. companies incorporate in Delaware thanks to balanced and flexible corporate laws, a business-friendly environment, and a respected legal community. In South Dakota, financial services are drawn to the state’s business-friendly taxes and trust laws that can shield families from inheritance taxes indefinitely.

Mining and oil and gas creates the biggest economic output in three states. North Dakota is the third-largest crude oil producer in the country, while Wyoming and West Virginia are America’s top two coal producers.

The government is the biggest GDP driver in D.C. and Oklahoma. Lastly, professional and technical services (Massachusetts), information (Washington), and transportation and warehousing (Alaska) were the top industry in one state each.

Ranked: 25 Richest Countries in the World, by Three Metrics

Ranked: 25 Richest Countries in the World, by Three Metrics

This was originally posted on our Voronoi app. Download the app for free on iOS or Android and discover incredible data-driven charts from a variety of trusted sources.

Key Takeaways

  • Luxembourg’s immense GDP per capita ($141K) masks the fact that much of it is generated by non-residents who commute in to work.
  • Qatar’s oil windfall lifts GDP per capita ($72K) but that hasn’t translated into broader wealth.
  • English-speaking countries translate middling GDP per capita into high median wealth through property ownership and strong pension systems.
  • Generating national wealth and distributing it to people are distinctly different economic challenges.

Previously, when we’ve covered 25 richest countries, we did so by GDP per capita alone. As a result, tiny states and global city-states tended to dominate the top of the rankings.

Introducing per capita income and median wealth per adult paints a more nuanced picture. It shows that where money is produced is not always where it ultimately accumulates.

The data for this visualization comes from the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the UBS Global Wealth Report 2024.

It compares each country’s 2025 GDP per capita, 2024 GNI per capita, and median adult wealth in 2024 to reveal three very different “rich lists.”

They Buried The Truth To Destroy Trump

excerpt:

Washington was still in a stupor in the weeks following the shocking—at least to some—election of Donald J. Trump as the 45th President of the United States. Precisely a month after Election Day, the next chapter of the story began.

On December 8, 2016, President Obama was scheduled to receive a classified President’s Daily Brief (PDB) the following day, which would assess Russian interference in the 2016 election.

The verdict? “Russian and criminal actors did not impact recent U.S. election results” through cyber means. The Intelligence Community (IC) expressed only “low-to-moderate confidence” that any foreign operation had even attempted to tamper with election infrastructure.

The facts were clear: no votes had changed, and no election systems had been breached.

Before December 8, internal IC consensus held that Russia lacked both the intent and the capability to corrupt the vote. A September 12 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) had concluded that foreign adversaries “do not have and will probably not obtain the capabilities to successfully execute widespread and undetected cyberattacks” on U.S. election infrastructure.

Yet by mid-December, the CIA publicly attributed intent not merely to disrupt but to help Trump win—a stark departure from what agencies, including the FBI and CIA, had privately concluded.

The Free Ride Is Over, Student Loan Interest Resumes August 1st

FWIW, Covid was a tool by DC, not an emergency.

Starting Friday, federal student loans under the SAVE (“Saving on a Valuable Education”) repayment plan will begin accruing interest again. This affects approximately 7.7 million to 8 million borrowers, said federal stats  — interest had been paused during ongoing legal action.

Advocacy group estimates suggest this will cost the typical borrower around $3,500 per year in interest, which breaks down to about $300 extra per month on average, according to the Education Department.

Courts invalidated key provisions of the SAVE program, including the zero‑interest feature. A court injunction requires loan servicers to begin charging interest again starting Friday.

The U.S. federal government suspended interest on student loans—and paused payments and collections—primarily due to the COVID‑19 emergency.

When you are forced to act positive to pay your bills, you’ll do a lot of things and say a lot of things. I won’t, which is why I make fun of it.

When it went woke, I changed personal information like I now attended Faber College (Knowledge Is Good) and was in the Delta Tau Chi Fraternity. I rarely go there as I never liked many of the people I had to work with. I’m connected to people who I don’t even know who they are now.

If they read this and kick me off the platform, my life will stay the same.

Anyway…..

LinkedIn is widely known as the premier professional networking platform, but it has several notable downsides that users frequently criticize. Here are some of the major negative aspects of LinkedIn:

  • Superficial Connections: Many users accumulate large networks filled with contacts who never engage meaningfully. This leads to bloated connection lists that dilute the value of professional relationships, as people accept connection requests without real interaction or intent to collaborate

.

Decline in Professionalism: As LinkedIn incorporates more social media-style features, posts often mix personal anecdotes, motivational quotes, memes, and other non-professional content. This shift can clutter users’ feeds and make it harder to find truly valuable industry insights

.

Engagement Fatigue: LinkedIn pushes frequent posting and interaction, which can cause burnout. Users may feel pressured to constantly share updates or personal stories, leading to diminished quality of engagement or avoidance of the platform altogether

.

Privacy Concerns: LinkedIn collects extensive personal and professional data that can be accessed by many parties, including third-party apps and advertisers. Despite privacy settings, users’ work histories and contact info may be visible to unintended audiences, raising concerns about data security and professional repercussions

Recruiter Messages and Spam: Users often receive generic or overly persistent messages from recruiters offering “amazing opportunities” without clear details. The recruitment process on LinkedIn sometimes feels impersonal and overbearing, causing frustration

.

Paid Features and Double-Dipping: LinkedIn charges employers for job postings but also offers paid options for applicants to appear higher in candidate lists. This “pay-to-win” approach can erode trust in the fairness of job applications and make desperate applicants look vulnerable

.

Inauthentic Endorsements: The endorsements feature, meant to validate skills, is often abused through reciprocal endorsement schemes, leading many to distrust their legitimacy. Users prefer direct personal references over these watered-down public endorsements

.

Pressure to Maintain a Polished Professional Image: Users may feel stressed to constantly portray an idealized version of themselves, leading to a lack of authenticity and anxiety around online presence. This pressure can create a gap between true skills and the curated profile displayed

.

Content Overload and Quality Decline: In the race for visibility, some users share low-value or repetitive posts, which reduces overall content quality. Finding useful and relevant information amid the noise becomes challenging

.

Algorithmic Bias and Networking Barriers: LinkedIn’s reliance on connections can disadvantage users with smaller networks, creating barriers to access jobs and professional opportunities. Networking pressure and algorithmic choices may favor some profiles over others unfairly

.

Customer Service and Billing Issues: Some users report unexpected charges, difficulty canceling paid services, and poor customer support responsiveness regarding billing disputes, contributing to user dissatisfaction

.

Annoying or Irrelevant Connection Requests: Many LinkedIn users receive random or spammy connection requests, often from salespeople or automated bots, which undermines the platform’s professional integrity

.

Toxic Positivity and Questionable Content: The platform sometimes promotes overly optimistic or non-substantive posts, which can feel disingenuous or out of place for a professional network

  • .

These points highlight that while LinkedIn is a powerful tool for professional networking and career development, it is not without significant flaws. Users must navigate issues with privacy, content quality, network authenticity, and platform commercialization while managing their own professional image carefully. Being aware of these challenges can help users better leverage LinkedIn’s benefits while avoiding its pitfalls.

WNBA Can’t Stop Stepping On It’s Own Dick

They beat up their only star who can put butts in the seats, Caitlin Clark. They hate players who are straight and white. They want the same money as the NBA, but can’t beat a boys’ High School Team.

I tried watching it and the product isn’t very good except Caitlin

This has to hurt Angel’s pride …

Ice Cube and his BIG3 basketball league offered a $5 million contract to Indiana Fever phenom Caitlin Clark for her to come play for the new operation, with Clark turning down the deal ultimately. But if you thought that would open up a massive payday for her loud-mouthed rival Angel Reese, you ended up being wrong — way wrong.

TMZ Sports happened to chop it up with Cube recently while he was at LAX, questioning if there were any plans to make Reese a similar offer to Clark’s. Cube was real about it, saying that Reese might not be able to get that kind of figure. (RELATED: Jeopardy Contestant Has Big Swing And Miss With ‘Who Is Caitlin Clark?’ Answer)

Cube stressed that he doesn’t have a problem whatsoever with Reese, but he was completely honest about the BIG3’s sponsors and their ability to be able to make the Chicago Sky superstar such an offer. Per Cube, the sponsors believe Clark would bring in a ton of money for the league, but “they didn’t tell us the same thing about Angel Reese.”

The legendary rapper closed out by saying, “I don’t know if we can make that same offer.”

WNBA Hits New Level Of Embarrassment After Game Stops Over … Wig?

The biggest joke of a sports league keeps getting to be more of a joke, even with a bonified superstar, Caitlin Clark, whom they beat the shit out of every game.

I knew women were sensitive about their hair, but damn!

Despite having Indiana Fever phenom Caitlin Clark and her heated rivalry with Chicago Sky superstar Angel Reese, the WNBA is a league that you just can’t take seriously considering how dysfunctional it is.

Just look at what happened Sunday in the game between the Phoenix Mercury and Washington Mystics that ended up temporarily halting action. A player lost their wig, and it led to an incredible amount of embarrassment, and yes, more than just stopping the contest.

The player in question was Mercury guard Kahleah Copper, who grabbed her wig and then sprinted off the court back to the locker room. Copper’s wig fell off after being snatched by her teammate Jade Melbourne, who was attempting to get over on a screen.

Climate Change Narrative Getting Killed By Facts (and cooler weather) – There Never Was A Crisis

Here’s what the ECMWF is forecasting for Europe the next 7 days:

Source: ECMWF via Snowfan

Earlier this year, the usual suspects were putting out horror scenarios of a summer of heat and drought across Europe in 2025. The most extreme model runs, with temperatures soaring to 45°C, were presented as serious forecasts and as being worrying evidence of runaway climate change.

But now the opposite has occurred and the fear-mongers are now either quiet or simply distorting the facts.

Especially in Central Europe, like across Germany, the weather has turned cool and rainy.

Germany’s Das Wetter.com here recently has since warned of 30 com of snowfall in the Alps – in July!:

Anyone who thought the last few weeks had been cool and changeable should dress warmly. Because from Monday, temperatures across Germany will continue to plummet. This is due to a wave of cold Arctic air rushing in from the far north. Highs of under 20 degrees will then be the reality in many places – in July!”

Heavy snow in the Alps in July

In his article, meteorologist Johannes Habermehl then adds that the snow line in the Alps will be dropping “to just 2500 meters – in some places even lower”, with some forecasting “up to 30 centimetres of fresh snow” at higher altitudes.

And that’s during peak summer!

Global temps plummet

And this:

Climate Armageddon Canceled

Lowest Six-Month Human Death Toll From Bad Weather Since Records Began

Something rather odd is happening to the weather. Millions, nay billions, are on the move fleeing droughts, floods, wildfires, runaway temperatures, rising sea levels (see any mainstream media page climate page to fill in rest of sentence). Armageddon will only be put on pause when hard-Left elites take control of the climate and corral us all into their fantasy world of Net Zero. But hold on a minute – news just in. The first half of 2025 has seen the smallest number of deaths related to extreme weather since records began. And more weird weather news – despite boiling seas, all four northern hemisphere ocean basins in the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific are running below average on accumulated cyclone energy. The North Atlantic has seen very little activity with the ACE energy measurement from January 1st to July 21st running at only 41% of the 1991-2020 average.

The cyclone news is natural variation of course, but don’t let on to climate fanatics. The news on deaths from extreme weather is not. It is a long-term trend that has seen weather fatalities plunge by over 99% during the last 100 years. As hydrocarbon use pulls billions out of grinding poverty, so fortunate humans can use the extra wealth to protect themselves against all that Nature throws at life on Earth.

So for people I had to work with like Tom Raftery, Tim O’Reilly and James Governor, the gig is up and so are the lies, but go on believing your religion.

And this gem:

By the numbers the scam is almost comical: 384 individual charging ports, $7.5 billion burned, $19.5 million per plug. That’s enough to buy every Tesla owner in America a home charger—twice—yet all taxpayers got was a handful of glorified parking spots.

WHO POCKETED THE CASH? • EVgo, ChargePoint, and Electrify America—all heavy Democratic donors—walked away with the biggest CFI grants. • The Greenlining Institute, NAACP Climate Initiative, and West Harlem Environmental Action were hired as “equity consultants” at $1,200 an hour to ensure 40 % of funds flowed to “underserved communities” per Biden’s 2021 “Justice40” diktat. • BlueGreen Alliance (a coalition of the Sierra Club and the United Steelworkers) lobbied for set-asides that require every single station to use union-only labor—driving costs up another 30 %. • BlackRock’s Climate Finance Partnership skimmed management fees on green bonds floated to finance the program.

Tired Of Obamacare Yet? You’re Really Going To Be Pissed Off Now

What about this plan that they told Americans wasn’t a lie? Bet they told Congress and the Insurance companies to start the kickbacks because the money floodgates are open for good.

Medical care costs are surging already. A big leap is coming.

Health Care Shock Coming

The Wall Street Journal reports Obamacare Insurers Seek Double-Digit Premium Hikes Next Year

If you buy your own health insurance, you are probably going to pay more next year—a lot more.

Insurers are seeking hefty 2026 rate increases for Affordable Care Act marketplace plans, the coverage known as Obamacare. Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Illinois wants a 27% hike, while its sister Blue Cross plan in Texas is asking for 21%. The largest ACA plans in Washington state, Georgia and Rhode Island are all looking for premiums to surge more than 20%.

The companies say the big increases are needed because of higher healthcare costs and changing federal policy, including cuts to subsidies that help consumers pay for plans. The higher premiums would come after years of enrollment growth and mostly single-digit rate increases in the Obamacare market, where individuals and families buy insurance for themselves. About 24 million people have ACA plans.

At the request of The Wall Street Journal, the health-research nonprofit KFF analyzed the rate requests for the largest ACA plans by enrollment in 17 states where the insurers’ filings have already become public, as well as the District of Columbia. They showed that some of the biggest national ACA players, including Centene and Elevance Health, are seeking double-digit increases in several states. The Blue Cross & Blue Shield plans of Texas and Illinois are both owned by Health Care Service, a giant nonprofit.

Most Obamacare enrollees’ monthly insurance bills will go up substantially next year because of reductions in federal subsidies that help pay for their coverage. Enhanced payments passed by Congress in 2021 will lapse at the end of December. The drop-off in subsidies is both helping to drive higher premiums and making it harder for many consumers to pay them.

Some people “are going to be hit with this double whammy” of bigger monthly insurance bills and losing the subsidy that blunts their cost, said Cynthia Cox, a vice president at KFF.

In rate filings, some insurers said tariffs could add to the cost of drugs and medical supplies.

The lightsaber used by Darth Vader during the latter two films of the original “Star Wars” trilogy will be auctioned off alongside a slew of other memorabilia from the franchise and is expected to rake in millions, according to a report.

The hilt of the primary dueling lightsaber used by masked villian during “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi” will go on the market at Los Angeles’ Propstore in September and is predicted to sell for anywhere between $1 million and $3 million.

The prop hilt is believed to be the first of its kind to go on the market, as no other lightsabers from the original trilogy ever went to private buyers.

They were instead cycled through museums, with Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber from “The Empire Strikes Back” residing with Ripley’s Believe It or Not.

UK Not To Be Outdone By The Swiss In Losing The Super Wealthy To Other Countries

See a couple of posts below to see the Swiss about to cut their own throats with taxes.

The United Kingdom’s suppressive policies have consequences — with some wealthier individuals seeking greener pastures.

On June 24, Forbes reported that the U.K. is facing a massive transfer of wealth out of the country, “the largest single-year exodus of wealth ever recorded.”

Projections indicate 16,500 high-net-worth individuals — those whose “liquid investable wealth [is worth] $1 million or more” — are seeking residency in other countries.

Founder of Apex Capital Partners Nuri Katz helps people like this by offering guidance should they wish to relocate.

Katz stated this shift doesn’t signal that the upper class is fleeing in terror so much as it is making a backup plan that can be used when needed.

Swiss To Vote On 50% Inheritance Tax That Risks Exodus Of The Super-Rich – People Won’t Stand For It And Will Bolt

In a national referendum set for November, the people of Switzerland will vote on whether the country should impose a 50% inheritance tax on the wealthiest of people — under a regimen so harsh that not even surviving spouses would be spared from the rapacious confiscation. Naturally, this is triggering predictions of a mass-exodus of wealthy people, with opponents pointing to a wave of departures the United Kingdom has witnessed in the wake of its own recent wealth-seizure move.

Under the proposal, a 50% federal tax would apply to inheritances and gifts above 50 million francs — about $63 million. The measure isn’t supported by the legislative Federal Assembly nor the executive Federal Council. However, under Swiss law, public proposals must be put to a nationwide plebiscite if 100,000 supporting signatures are collected. The signature campaign was led by Switzerland’s Young Socialists.

What Effing Idiot Sold China This Farmland Next To Millitary Bases

Nikki Haley in SC for one

The Trump administration is moving to ban the sale of U.S. farmland to foreign adversaries, with a particular focus on China, citing national security and food system vulnerabilities, according to MSN/Washington Post.

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins announced the policy shift Tuesday, saying the administration is preparing an executive order and working with state lawmakers to block further land purchases, especially near military bases.

Map: New York Post

“With this announcement today we are taking this purpose and our American farmland back,” Rollins said. “American agriculture is not just about feeding our families but about protecting our nation and standing up to foreign adversaries who are buying our farmland, stealing our research and creating dangerous vulnerabilities.”

In a joint press conference with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Rollins said officials are exploring “every available option” to potentially claw back land already purchased by China-linked entities.

Though Chinese investors hold a tiny fraction of U.S. farmland—about 0.0003%, most of it tied to a single company—the issue has drawn bipartisan scrutiny amid rising geopolitical tensions. The USDA said Chinese-linked land ownership has declined by 31% since 2021, and federal authorities have documented attempts by Chinese agents to target U.S. agriculture, including a recent case involving smuggled crop-damaging fungi.

Germany’s Pension Ponzi on the Brink – Socialism Only Works Until You Run Out Of Other People’s Money

If you’ve ever wanted to witness the slow-motion collapse of a Ponzi scheme, you might want to keep an eye on Germany’s public pension system.

Rhetorically and politically sugar-coated as a “pay-as-you-go” system—where today’s workers finance the retirement of yesterday’s—this bureaucratic redistribution leviathan is utterly dependent on an ever-growing pool of contributors. The problem is that Germany is aging, shrinking, and losing its industrial base.

Just in time for this demographic crunch—declining birth rates, increasing life expectancy, and longer pension payout durations—policymakers have decided to torch what’s left of the country’s industrial foundation in a green frenzy. Year after year, around €70 billion in value creation is being sent up the chimney, while more than half a million jobs have disappeared in recent years. That’s half a million fewer contributors to the pension Ponzi.

Solar Farms Paid To Switch Off – Money Down The Toilet On A Boondoggle

British solar farms have been paid to switch off for the first time as sunny days prompt a surge of clean power that could overwhelm the grid.

The National Energy System Operator (Neso), which manages the UK’s power grids and is overseen by Ed Miliband, the Energy Secretary, has issued switch-off orders to solar facilities this year, new research reveals.

Operators are paid to switch off when these orders are issued, with the extra cost added to consumer and business energy bills.

The solar operators claiming compensation are understood to include some of the UK’s biggest energy suppliers, such as EDF Renewables and Octopus Energy.

Such “constraint payments” are already common with wind farms because so many have been built in areas such as northern Scotland or offshore, areas without grid capacity to carry the power they generate.

So far this year, constraint payments have cost consumers £650m, according to the Wasted Wind website. The cost is added to energy bills.

Overall “balancing payments” could hit £8bn a year by 2030 without massive grid upgrades, according to Neso estimates. Such upgrades would also be extremely costly, with consumers liable.

How Much Revenue Do Tech Giants Earn Per Employee? – I guess Sex Still Sells

Which tech companies are generating the most profit per employee?

In this graphic, Visual Capitalist’s Marcus Lu visualized 22 major tech companies by revenue per employee in 2024, highlighting the efficiency of business models that monetize user-generated content.

The data for this visualization comes from Multiples.

Revenue per Employee Leaders

OnlyFansValve, and YouTube are the top three leaders in this dataset. All three are digital platforms that have successfully scaled up with a relatively small workforce.

OnlyFans has 51-200 employees according to LinkedIn, while Valve operates Steam, the world’s largest PC gaming platform, with a workforce of just 350 people. YouTube has the largest headcount of the three, with 7,173 employees as of January 2024.

By leveraging user-generated content (OnlyFans and YouTube) or digital distribution strategies (Valve), these companies differ from traditional companies that rely on labor-intensive operations.

Eliminating Redundant Government Employees At Useless Agency

As I have previously reported, President Donald Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has been busy reversing all the climate cultist policies that harm this nation’s ability to serve and support its citizens.

After six months of watching Trump and various members of his team suspend and terminate federal employees, end the progressive pork distribution agency formerly known as USAID, and otherwise upend the Deep State approach to ruling over American citizens, one might think that federal employees who valued regular paychecks and good benefits would realize “Resistance 2.0” would be a failure.

However, a group of EPA employees clearly weren’t paying attention. The agency has placed 144 staffers on paid leave and launched an inquiry into their participation in signing a letter that accused the Trump administration of politicizing the agency.

The agency said its actions were warranted because the employees had signed the letter using their official titles and because the letter had denigrated the agency’s leadership.

“The Environmental Protection Agency has a zero-tolerance policy for career bureaucrats unlawfully undermining, sabotaging and undercutting the administration’s agenda as voted for by the great people of this country last November,” the E.P.A. press secretary, Brigit Hirsch, wrote in an email.

The 144 employees received emails on Thursday saying they had been placed on leave for the next two weeks “pending an administrative investigation,” according to a copy of the email reviewed by The New York Times.

“You are required to provide a current email address and phone number so that we can contact you as part of our investigation,” the email said, adding that the staff members would continue to collect paychecks while on leave.

President Trump has vowed that there will be no more development of wind energy infrastructure under his administration, calling huge windmills blighting the landscape “garbage” and “bullshit.”

He continued, “You go and look at these beautiful plains and valleys and they’re loaded up with this garbage that gets worse and worse looking with time…What bullshit this is.”

Because People Like Big Engines And Hemi’s More Than EV’s

The hoity-toity bought EV’s mostly to show what good Social Justice Warriors they are. As a novelty, they are impressive, but it wears off.

What doesn’t wear off is the sound of a real engine. In this case it’s a Hemi. It’s big and bad and what people want.

Yes, over 10,000 orders for Hemi V8-equipped pickups were received after the announcement in June – and that was only in the initial 24 hours. That’s a significant number when you consider that Ram has sold an average of 17,828 light-duty pickups per month in the second quarter of 2025.

“We continue to see total sales growth for Jeep and Ram brands, with Ram fueled by sales of the Ram 1500,” said Jeff Kommor, head of U.S. sales. “We plan to build on that success in the second half of the year. We’ve already seen consumer interest spurred by the return of the Hemi V8, with the brand receiving over 10,000 orders in the first 24 hours of the June announcement.”

Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Ram, admitted in June that the company “screwed up” when it discontinued the Hemi V8, and has resolved to give its customers the choice to select the powertrain they want.

Remember Jaguar’s Woke Rebrand? You’ll Never Guess How It Turned Out for Them, Or Maybe You Will – GWGB

It’s been less than a year since the Jaguar automotive brand introduced what many — including this publication, I must note — called the “worst car ad ever.” And, while “go woke, go broke” isn’t a new phenomenon, Jaguar has taken it to previously unseen lows.

Now, a little over eight months since the ad was introduced — famously featuring what apparently was a gaggle of garishly dressed nonbinary flibbertigibbets and not a car to be seen — the marque is basically fulfilling the spot’s car-free promise.

The brand’s sales are down 97.5 percent (not an errant decimal point there), the corporate overlords behind it might be splitting with the geniuses behind the rebrand, and there’s no cars anywhere in the near future for a make that wants to go upmarket but doesn’t have the products or the cachet to do so.

Even New Yorkers Want Out After New York Real Estate Brokers Say They’ve Been Flooded With Calls From People Looking to Flee the City After Mamdani Primary WinEven New Yorkers Want Out After

Earlier today, the Gateway Pundit reported that some Jewish people are planning to flee New York City after communist Muslim Zohran Mamdani won the Democrat primary race for mayor.

Now it’s being reported that some real estate brokers in New York City were flooded with calls from people looking to flee the city within minutes of Mamdani’s win.

People are horrified by the prospect of this man being in charge of America’s most iconic city.

From the New York Post:

Luxury real-estate brokers say wealthy New Yorkers are already looking to flee after Zohran Mamdani’s primary win

Within minutes of Zohran Mamdani clinching the Democratic nomination Tuesday night, real estate agents like Ryan Serhant were flooded with calls from clients looking to walk away from deals to buy apartments in NYC. High-end buyers are now looking to purchase property outside of the city.

“My number one job will be moving people from New York to Florida. Again,” Serhant told me. “Based on the results, clients are going to hold off on making any kind of investment in New York City.”

According to a note I reviewed, one client who had made an offer on a Chelsea apartment sent her broker an email minutes after former Governor Cuomo conceded to Zohran Mamdani. “We are going to take a break from looking until there’s more clarity on the mayoral election,” the client wrote.

Blue Collar Wages Rise 2% In Just the First Five Months of Trump’s Second Term, the Most in 60 Years

Back to the theme of the day….protect the border and you get a better economy with less crime

Blue-collar workers have seen real wage growth of almost two percent in the first five months of President Donald Trump’s second term, the largest increase for any administration in nearly 60 years.

The 1.7% pay bump is in stark contrast to negative growth under Joe Biden, according to new data from the US Department of the Treasury.

Since Richard Nixon in 1969, Trump has been the only president to record positive growth for blue-collar workers in his first five months. He also achieved 1.3% in his first term.

Every week, Post columnist Miranda Devine sits down for exclusive and candid conversations with the most influential disruptors in Washington. Subscribe here!

The recovery from a 1.7% decline recorded in Biden’s first five months, as inflation outpaced earnings, suggests a shift in economic conditions for this financially stressed segment of the workforce.

“The only other time it’s been this high was… during President Trump’s first term,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told me on the latest episode of the “Pod Force One” podcast, out Wednesday.

“We’ve seen real wages for hourly workers, non-supervisory workers, rise almost 2% in the first five months. … No president has done that before.”

Falling inflation has driven the significant improvement in blue-collar wages, lifting workers’ take-home pay and living standards.

Bessent says wage growth is also fueled by the president’s “emphasis on manufacturing” and commitment to remove illegal migrants from the workforce.

“Biden opened the border, and it was flooded,” said Bessent. “And for working Americans, that’s a disaster because it’s pressure on their wages.”

Per a Harvard-Harris poll from June 11-12, the country now believes the economy is “strong,” 52% to 43%.

Wages Rise as Illegals Leave — Coincidence?

Second topic on the discussion of illegals. This will at least get your day going.

Some quick numbers illustrate a big picture for 2025:

  • 8,725 — the number of people U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) encountered attempting to illegally cross the border in May, down 93% from 117,900 a year earlier.
  • ZERO — the number of illegal aliens Donald Trump’s CBP released into the U.S. in May.
  • 62,000 — the number of illegal aliens Joe Biden’s CBP released into the U.S. in May 2024.
  • One million — roughly the number of illegal aliens who have self-deported since March.
  • 1.7% — the increase of real wages for blue-collar workers so far this year, the fastest growth rate since 1969.

In short, “all we really needed was a new president.” Donald Trump has upended Joe Biden’s horrific status quo, which amounted to a humanitarian crisis at the border and beyond. Trump has effectively closed the border to the illegal traffic Biden invited, and he’s now focused on how to handle people who reside in the U.S. illegally, often thanks to Team Biden releasing, busing, and flying them all over the country.

You may have seen leftists throw a tantrum or two about it.

So, let’s tie the above numbers together.

“Thanks to @POTUS’s pro-growth, America First policies, real wages for hourly workers are up nearly 2% in the first five months of @realDonaldTrump’s second term — the strongest growth in 60 years,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent posted on X. The only other time it was close to that strong was during Trump’s first term.

Columbia U Is Next For Loss Of Accreditation

The United States Department of Education (DOE) determined that Columbia University has violated a federal civil rights law, the DOE said Wednesday in a press release.

The notification comes after the DOE opened an investigation into the University in February.

“The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) today notified Middle States Commission on Higher Education (the Commission) that its member institution, Columbia University, is in violation of federal antidiscrimination laws and therefore fails to meet the standards for accreditation set by the Commission,” the release said.

Why It Matters

Colleges without federal accreditation lose access to federal student aid, preventing millions of prospective and current students from getting the financial help they may need in order to be able to afford attendance.

Without accreditation, Columbia could also lose some of its respectability as an Ivy League university, potentially impacting enrollment and application numbers if the school cannot meet the standards for accreditation.

I didn’t stop to think about the tortoises and other land creatures and how much they are affected.

Thank you Obama for this boondoggle and waste of my and others taxes. It’s your legacy now, own it.

Most Americans Agree With Trump That Higher Education Has a Problem

This has been obvious to some of us for years.

Mediaite has details:

‘Bias Reigns’: Most Americans ‘Definitely Agree’ With Trump There’s a Big Problem in Higher Ed in New Poll

CNN’s Harry Enten reported that faith in higher education has suffered a stunning collapse in the last decade, with “most Americans” in agreement with President Donald Trump that there’s a real problem. Enten broke down the new polling showing that the perception of institutional liberal bias is a huge problem for colleges and universities.

Speaking with Kate Bolduan on Thursday, Enten explained that the percentage of Americans who express high confidence in higher education has “plummeted” from 57% in 2015 to just 36% as of last year — and not just among Republicans.

“That number has plummeted, plummeted as of last year, down to 36%. We’re talking about a 36-point drop among Republicans specifically,” he said. “Get this: 68% of Americans said that higher education was on the wrong track.”

Enten added that while “it’s a question of whether or not people agree with Trump’s tactics,” it is still the case that they “definitely agree with him on the idea that there is a problem with higher ed overall.”

Of course there is a problem. It’s been there since Viet Nam when the anti-Americans took over the colleges and universities. They are liberal indoctrination centers and foreign students who hate America are the cash cows

Harvard Has Become Chinese Communist ‘Party School’

And by that, I don’t mean Toga Party.

Harvard might be a mere pipe dream for most American college-hunting brainiacs, but for “so many Chinese communist officials” it rates as their top “party school,” The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday.

Not only has Chinese President Xi Jinping’s own daughter been a student at Harvard, but a former vice president and Xi’s top negotiator with the first Trump administration studied there as leaders in China see Harvard education as a path to Chinese Communist Party positions.

And it is not a new thing.

“If we were to rank the Chinese Communist Party’s ‘overseas party schools,’ the one deserving top spot has to be Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government in the U.S.,” a 2014 Shanghai Observer online commentary piece read.

President Donald Trump sought to change the paradigm with China during his first administration just months before the COVID-19 pandemic exploded around the world.

Now, Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are seeking to curb the stocking of America’s chief economic, if not military, rival with the state-of-the-world education, monitoring foreign student visas and putting new ones on hold to establish extreme vetting measures for students flooding to Harvard who might be seeking to work against American interests.

Rubio announced Wednesday the effort to “aggressively revoke visas for Chinese students, including those with connections to the Chinese Communist Party or studying in critical fields.”

The move has Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning saying Chinese students have the rights of Americans, despite merely being permitted foreign student visa holders, saying Rubio’s move “seriously damaged the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese students.”

Rubio says foreign visa holders have the privilege, not the right, to be in the U.S.

Trump now wants to cut Harvard’s estimated foreign student visa base in half, down to 15% to make sure those attended from foreign rivals like China “are people that can love our country.”

“I think Harvard has to get a kick in the rear end,” Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax‘s “Saturday Agenda.” “It’s not going to do it by itself. The president of Harvard would like to do the right thing, and he’s a very decent man.

“But there are too many radical left-wing faculty members that are Marxists and that are antisemites and that are anti-American and anti-Christian and want to see Harvard become the kind of woke institution that turns out the kinds of political leaders that they would like to see dominate the country.”

While Harvard is the Chinese Communist Party school of choice, this China education train is not exclusive. It extends to Biden’s alma mater at Syracuse University, too.

Syracuse offers executive training for Chinese officials and since the early 2000s its Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs has helped set up programs at Chinese universities.

Harvard’s China focus began in the 1980s, but it ramped up under former President Bill Clinton in the late ’90s, leading to the “China’s Leaders in Development” program to “help prepare senior local and central Chinese government officials to more effectively address the ongoing challenges of China’s national reforms,” according to the report.

These Are The World’s Most Expensive Real Estate Markets

In this graphic, Visual Capitalist’s Pallavi Rao explores the world’s most expensive real estate markets, using data as of December 2024.

The rankings are based on the average price per square meter for a prime 100–200 m² (1,075-2,150 sq. ft) apartment, sourced from New World Wealth and Henley & Partners.

What Is “Prime” Real Estate?

“Prime” real estate refers to properties in the most desirable global locations—whether for lifestyle, investment, or prestige. These homes typically share four key characteristics:

  • High-Value: Located in top-tier global cities or exclusive resort areas, with premium price tags per square meter.
  • Luxury-Oriented: High-end properties boasting top-tier amenities, design, and finishes.
  • Strategically Located: Found in stable, globally connected markets with strong lifestyle appeal.
  • Investment-Linked: Often eligible for residence or citizenship-by-investment programs, offering benefits beyond ownership.

The Global Leaders in Price per Square Meter

At the top of the list is Monaco, where prime real estate prices dwarf those of other markets.

The small principality on the French Riviera is a haven for the ultra-wealthy, driven by its low taxes, exclusive lifestyle, and financial services sector. With limited land and soaring demand, Monaco continues to command the highest prices globally.

Everything Is Kind Of Becoming A Drag On Harvard These Days, Not Just China

Harvard University’s links to China, long an asset to the school, have become a liability as the Trump administration levels accusations that its campus is plagued by Beijing-backed influence operations.

On Thursday the administration moved to revoke Harvard’s ability to enroll foreign students, saying it fostered antisemitism and coordinated with the Chinese Communist Party. Among them are Chinese nationals who made up about a fifth of Harvard’s foreign student intake in 2024, the university said.

A U.S. judge on Friday temporarily blocked the administration’s order after the Cambridge, Massachusetts, university sued.

The concerns about Chinese government influence at Harvard are not new. Some U.S. lawmakers, many of them Republicans, have expressed worries that China is manipulating Harvard to gain access to U.S. advanced technology, to circumvent U.S. security laws and to stifle criticism of it in the United States.

“For too long, Harvard has let the Chinese Communist Party exploit it,” a White House official told Reuters on Friday, adding the school had “turned a blind eye to vigilante CCP-directed harassment on-campus.”

FAFO – Ivy League University Staff Pays the Price for School’s Stubbornness – Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes

Columbia University’s recent decision to lay off nearly 180 staff members is a stark reminder of the real-world consequences of elitist posturing.

The cuts, reported by multiple outlets, including Fox News and NBC News, were prompted by the revocation of $400 million in federal grants under the Trump administration, highlighting the school’s stubborn refusal to adapt to reasonable demands. These staffers are paying the price for the school’s defiance, while the university’s leadership retreats to their gilded mansions unscathed.

The Trump administration’s mandate was clear: protect Jewish students from rampant anti-Semitism on campus, or lose federal funding. Columbia chose defiance, and now its employees are suffering. The school’s insistence on coddling Hamas sympathizers has cost it dearly, and the fallout is hitting those least responsible for the decision.

Columbia’s acting president, Claire Shipman, issued a statement that reeks of self-pity.

“This is a deeply challenging time across all higher education, and we are attempting to navigate through tremendous ambiguity with precision, which will be imperfect at times,” she said.

Ambiguity? There’s nothing ambiguous about Trump’s directive. Stop the anti-Semitism, and you’re fine. Columbia’s leadership chose to play a stupid game, and now they’ve won a stupid prize.

Let’s not forget that Columbia is where the Frankfurt School (of Marxism) calls it’s current home. How can you expect them to take any position other than anti-Jewish.

Cause And Effect: Homicides Are Down 60 Percent in Denver Following ICE Deportations

The liberal ‘sanctuary city’ of Denver, Colorado is experiencing an outbreak of law and order, following the deportation of criminal illegal immigrants by ICE. Who knew such a thing could happen?

Homicides in Denver and other Colorado cities are down by a whopping 60 percent. Are liberals still going to argue against the policy of deporting people in the country illegally? Are they still going to try to defend members of MS-13 and other gangs?

It’s almost like enforcing laws works out well for law abiding citizens. Almost.

FOX 31 in Denver reports:

Newly released report says homicides dropped nearly 60% in Denver in 2025

Homicides are down nearly 60% in Denver so far this year, according to the newly released report by the Major Cities Chiefs Association.

It’s a significant drop from last year and one of the biggest declines in violent crime rates in the country.

“Violent crime is just about reducing in every city, but we were the city in which it had declined the most,” said Denver Police Chief Ron Thomas.

Thomas says he is proud to have that distinction, and it speaks to the hard work of his officers.

“We’ve been able to see these significant reductions in crime without over policing communities,” said Thomas. “It’s one of the things we have understood was important and we need to be responsive, but we need to make sure we’re investing as much as we’re enforcing.”

Here’s What the Democrats Don’t Want You to Know About the Trump Economy

“It was the fourth highest month for private payroll growth in the past two years,” she continued. “9,000 manufacturing jobs have been added to the economy already! This is a sharp contrast to the 6,000 manufacturing jobs that were lost each month in the final two years of the Biden administration.”

The inflation picture has also improved dramatically. The latest report showed the first consumer price decline since the COVID pandemic, driven by decreasing energy prices and real wage growth. Current inflation sits at 2.4%, significantly lower than the previous administration’s peak of nine percent.

Investment figures are equally impressive. The administration has secured $5.2 trillion in domestic and foreign investments since January. Major players like Apple, NVIDIA, Softbank, Oracle, and OpenAI are leading the charge. Notable among these is a historic $500 billion artificial intelligence infrastructure project involving Softbank, Oracle, and OpenAI.

Private sector investments in the U.S. have topped $1.8 trillion, with major contributions from the pharmaceutical and energy industries. Hyundai alone has pledged $21 billion, projected to create around 100,000 jobs. Since President Donald Trump took office, foreign investments have surged past $3.3 trillion—over half the total—driven by countries like the UAE, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and India.

Bessent outlined new initiatives to boost domestic manufacturing, announcing full cost expensing for companies relocating factories to the U.S. “You can fully expense the equipment and the building,” he explained, adding that this would be coupled with “deregulation, cheap energy, and regulatory certainty.”

Opec Has To Up Petroleum Production Because Trump Is Drilling- We’re Going To Get Cheaper Gas At The Pump

OPEC+ plans to further accelerate oil output hikes and could unwind its 2.2 million barrels per day of voluntary cuts by the end of October if members do not improve compliance with their production quotas, four sources from the group said.

OPEC+ shocked the oil market in April by agreeing a faster-than-expected unwinding of cuts despite weak prices and demand. The move was designed by OPEC+ leader Saudi Arabia to punish some members for poor quota compliance, sources have said.

The group, which includes the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and allies such as Russia, agreed another big output hike for June on Saturday, taking the total it plans to release in April, May and June to nearly 1 million bpd.

The Hidden Cost Of Net Zero

UK Electricity Consumption

image

The REF’s new report on green energy subsidies noted that renewables subsidies are now costing £25.8 bn per year – or over £900 per household annually – about one third of which, £280, will hit the average domestic electricity bill directly.

For a long time, part of the gaslighting around the cost of Net Zero has been focus people’s attention over the impact on their energy bills.

However, as John Constable pointed out, only about a third of the cost hits the public directly via their electricity bills, because only a third of electricity is consumed by domestic users.

The other two thirds is used by industry and commerce, transport and the public sector.

But that does not mean that the public at large don’t end up footing the entire bill one way or another.

Higher electricity costs for industry and commerce mean higher prices in the shops. And higher electricity costs in the public sector mean higher taxes or poorer public services.

At the worst, businesses may shut or move their production abroad, leaving us all worse off.

Miliband and co would love you to think you are only paying a hundred quid or so for Net Zero. People would be horrified to learn that the price is nearer a thousand quid a year.

And that cost is of course just for starters. When we all have to buy expensive EVs and heat pumps we don’t want, we will be much worse off.

Europe’s Anti-American Shift: Now Globalists Are The Saviors Of The West?

Nationalism is villainous and globalists are the heroes? It’s a propaganda message that has been building since the end of World War II and the creation of globalist institutions like the UN, the IMF, World Banks, etc. By the 1970s there was a concerted and dangerous agenda to acclimate the western world to interdependency; not just dependency on imports and exports, but dependency of currency trading, treasury purchases and interbank wealth transfer systems like SWIFT.

This was the era when corporations began outsourcing western manufacturing to third world countries. This is when the dollar was fully decoupled from gold. When the IMF introduced the SDR basket system. When the decade long stagflationary crisis began.

This was when the World Economic Forum was founded. The Club of Rome and their climate change agenda. When numerous globalists started talking within elitist publications and white papers talking about a one world economy and a one world government (under their control, of course). By the 1990s everything was essentially out in the open and the plan was clear:

Their intention was to destroy national sovereignty and bring in an age of total global centralization. One of the most revealing quotes on the plan comes from Clinton Administration Deputy Secretary of State Strobe Talbot, who stated in Time magazine in 1992 that:

In the next century, nations as we know it will be obsolete; all states will recognize a single, global authority… National sovereignty wasn’t such a great idea after all.”

He adds in the same article:

“…The free world formed multilateral financial institutions that depend on member states’ willingness to give up a degree of sovereignty. The International Monetary Fund can virtually dictate fiscal policies, even including how much tax a government should levy on its citizens. The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade regulates how much duty a nation can charge on imports. These organizations can be seen as the protoministries of trade, finance and development for a united world.”

The globalists use international trade controls as a way to ensnare competing economies, forcing them to become homogeneous. They take away the self reliance of nations and pressure them to conform to global trade standards. It’s important to understand that they view centralized dominance of trade as a primary tool for eventually obtaining their new world order.

The idea of a country going off the plantation and initiating unilateral tariffs is unheard of. The notion of countries producing their own necessities is absurd. As least, until 2025.

One of the most humorous and bewildering side effects of the Trump Administration’s policy rollout is the scramble by the political left (especially in Europe) to portray themselves as “rebel heroes fighting for freedom” in the face of a supposedly tyrannical dictatorship. Of course, these are globalists and cultural Marxists we’re dealing with, so their definitions of “freedom” and “tyranny” are going to be irreparably skewed.

The EU elites have truly lost the plot when it comes to their message on “democracy”. Today, many European nations are spiraling into classical authoritarianism, yet they’re pretending as if they’re in a desperate fight for freedom.

I’ve heard it said that authoritarianism is the pathology of recognition. One could also say that it’s the pathology of affirmation – It’s not enough for the offending movement to be recognized as dominant, the population must embrace it, joyfully, as if it is the only thing they care about. This is the underlying goal of globalism: To force the masses to love it like a religion.

But to be loved by the people, they have to believe that globalism is their savior. They have to believe that globalists are somehow saving the world. Enter the new world order theater brought to us by The Economist. The magazine, partially owned by the Rothschild family, has long been a propaganda hub for globalism. They recently published an article titled ‘The Thing About Europe: It’s The Actual Land Of The Free Now’.

Yes, this is laughable given the fact that many European governments are currently hunting down and jailing people for online dissent. Mass open immigration is suffocating western culture on the continent. Violent crime is skyrocketing. Not to mention, the new trend among EU governments is to arrest right leaning political opponents to stop them from winning elections.
