What principles define how you live?

What principles define how you live?

Easy, The Ten Commandments.

Generations before we got them on Mount Sinai, Cain killed Abel and even then he knew it was wrong. The rules are written on your heart. It’s just whether you choose to obey them or not.

It’s the same with kids. They know when they did wrong before they were told. That’s how early we understand them

  1. Here are a few, most of which I picked up from my grandfather back in the 40s:

    1. Finish the job.
    2. If the job is turning you into someone you wouldn’t like to have dinner with, find another job.
    3. Admit when you’re wrong and get on with life.
    4. My rights end where the other person’s begin.
    5. Don’t ever trust government OR mass media.
    6. Don’t sleep with the hired help.
    7. When in doubt and a decision is necessary, say “No.”  If things change, “No” can be changed to “Yes” SO much easier than “Yes” can be changed to “No.”
    8. Times change; evil doesn’t.
    9. History is written by the winners.
    10. When you have seen your whole life’s run

          And never pissed off anyone

You haven’t got much said or done.

There are others, of course, but those are a good foundation.
